○ Zanpakuto Spirit Summary: The spirit of XXX manifests as a slender woman with a pallid complexion and long, blonde hair that is lighter than Naomi’s own. She is often accompanied by an eclipse of orange moths that flutter around in her wake. Anything that the moths touch for a prolonged period of time begin to wither and die, leaving the woman covered in blackened marks where these creatures have landed upon her, but they do not appear to cause her any distress. XXX has a calm and soothing attitude, often attempting to placate Naomi’s reckless tendencies, but also enjoys the honest passion that her wielder possesses.

○ Inner World: A vast, dusty plain. XXX's Inner World is littered with debris and ruins that are in the process of being turned into fuel for the numerous clouds of dust and ash that swirl through the landscape, which offers little protection.

○ Zanpakuto Appearance: In its sealed state, XXX takes the form of a single Wakizashi blade with a bone-white handle and a star-shaped tsuba. Though rarely seen in this state, it also has a simple sheath that is worn behind Naomi’s back to allow for a quicker draw.

○ Shikai Appearance: When released, XXX changes form into that of an additional limb made of interlinked segments of metal that ends in a bird-like face with a claw for a mouth. It has to remain attached to Naomi, but the point of this connection can change at any time even during the same release. The size of XXX can also change, from a length of several metres down to a small fraction of that, and it often wraps around her waist to appear as a little more than a mundane belt.

○ Shikai Abilities: XXX is a Living-Type Zanpakuto that primarily operates as an additional limb for Naomi to use in and out of combat without having to expend additional energy on physical exertion. It is as strong and fast as she is, and can operate seamlessly in tandem with her other techniques without hampering their effectiveness. It is also durable as far as Zanpakuto go, able to shrug off damage that might have broken a lesser weapon due to the concentrated density that it now possesses.

Download: XXX can also function as an advanced hacking tool, capable of interfacing with modern technology in a manner similar to connecting an external device. It can take complete control of any device that lacks security measures for as long as it, and by extension Naomi, remains connected to it and can freely download and absorb any data stored within whilst also managing its functionality in any way it is typically capable of operating. Once a device has been imprinted in this way, XXX can remotely activate any of its functions for the rest of the thread, but with a post delay between command and response. Technology that has protection will require time for XXX to break down those defences and get inside, considering Naomi’s Zanjutsu skill as a measure of XXX’s hacking proficiency. Most basic, civilian, security measures would not take more than a post but military-grade encrypted items might take numerous consecutive posts of work of be infeasible to complete within a thread. This should be agreed OOC between affected parties, or Staff when no clear party can be determined or parties disagree.

Battery Saver Mode: The amount of energy that Naomi has to expend to maintain her Shikai can be vastly reduced if it is put in a dormant state. Doing so will also nullify the usual boost to power that she would receive from her first release, and prevent her from mentally controlling XXX, but also makes it much harder to detect and can be easily passed off as an ornament or decoration.

Dead Man’s Switch: Though it is usually Naomi that holds total control over the weapon and its movements, the spirit of XXX is able to step in and take control whenever Naomi is unable to operate efficiently. Able to sense her surroundings even when she is distracted or incapacitated, XXX is capable of evading attacks at a level that an opponent might consider her precognitive. The Dead Man’s Switch is still limited by Naomi’s own physical abilities, but, as an additional caveat, reduces any skills higher than her Zanjutsu rank to that level whilst in use.
