Shadows of Two Worlds

Part of her had honestly expected the other person to know, at the very least, what a Zanpakuto was, and yet she wasn't that surprised when it was made evident they didn't know. However Fuurinji waved her hand dismissively "Ah... Nevermind, just something that I've seen others use that's all." So this person both had no affiliation, as well as no idea what a Zanpakuto was... It wasn't everyday that someone such as this came along, though perhaps it was for the best, knowledge of these things had a tendency to bring with it bad tidings.

"Well if you see any pure black creatures with a white mask, be careful. Most of them are more dangerous than they seem, and it wouldn't do well to go and end up dying to one." Truth be told at this point she just assumed this person might not know what a hollow was by name, so describing them was probably for the best.

"A Hollow?" Ryo asked, knowing exactly what those things are.

"Sorry, but I've already dealt with a bunch of them already. They're the reason why I'm even out here."

Though, she meant that in a literal sense than anything else. If it wasn't for a particular Hollow, she never would have developed powers. It's a blessing and a curse, but since she has these abilities, she oughta put them to good use. With them, she's a beacon for other spiritual beings, so she pretty much has no choice but to make sure she's capable of defending herself.

"I'm just not completely clued in to everything around me just yet. I have a lot to learn."

It would seem, at least, that they had some understanding, which was soon confirmed by Ryo herself. Giving her a slight bow as well as tilting her head slightly before bowing it "I see." At least this person wasn't a total newcomer then if they'd already dealt with hollows already. However the part that Fuu held onto was that last bit, of her reasoning for being here.

"Hang on... Did you say they're the reason you came here? Now I understand you aren't clued into everything, but you are aware that Hollows are attracted to either lots of Reiatsu, intense negative emotions, or a singular source of immense Reiatsu, yes? No offense intended, but even I couldn't pull a hollow towards me with my strength."

Truthfully she wasn't meaning to sound all high and mighty, but the truth was she couldn't understand why this person was so far away from town if their mission was to hunt Hollows....

"Hmm? I'm just picking fights with them as I find them. I'm not particularly hunting them. Stragglers who are trying to stay away from hot spots usually pick quiet areas to roost."

She tilted her head a bit, looking Fuu up and down. Now she has a question for the woman. Well, she has a lot of questions actually, but one thing at a time.

"Why is a blind woman out here, all alone, wandering? Won't it get easy to get lost?"

She'll question that first.

This person was... truly confusing. She knew so little, yet willingly fought against hollows? Moreso out where little even was? She made mention of picking off stragglers, yet that did little to satiate Fuu's own confusion for the woman.

However when the question of why she was out here came up, Fuu tapped her chin briefly "I had wondered if you'd caught on yet... not everyone realizes I'm blind so quickly. As for your question..." She gave another pause as if thinking of how to respond first "Lost is... a matter of perspective." She responded in kind, though didn't pause for long "It isn't so much that I am lost, as it is that I have no particular destination."

"Then you should find a place to go," Ryo muttered, but then she looked around and sighed. "But the closest town is pretty far."

She's not going to suggest the woman come with her. The fact of the matter is that they're both loners wandering, and if this blind woman hasn't been killed yet, then that means she can handle herself. In fact, there's a good chance she can handle herself better than Ryo can herself.

"Hollow aren't as fickled as you think they are. Even out here, an easy meal is an easy meal. One person wandering on their own is easier to pick off and pulls less attention. I'm not looking for any glory or whatnot, just a fight here or there while I'm on my way."

Fuu snickered slightly at the notion of 'finding a place to go', and yet more when she spoke of hollows. Fuurinji shook her head slightly as she waved her hand dismissively "Hollows this far from a city are rarely ones higher than a Menos Grande, and even those are rare so far away from a city. I understand both Hollows and Arrancarr better than most, and I understand who is and isn't fickle. If a hollow attacked a Shinigami this far out, they would be naught but a fickle creature for doing so. This is especially true if they have never encountered that Shinigami before."

She tapped her head briefly with one finger and smiled "And besides, they're drawn to strong negative emotions, of which I have very few currently. Besides..." She paused before shrugging "Lets be honest here, if a Hollow or Arrancarr strong enough to overpower you showed up, would it really matter where you were? Whether it be in a city or in the wilds like we are now, their capabilities wouldn't change. What truly matters is how you deal with the situation, because tactics will outperform brute force every time."

"I guess, but being strong does a lot," Ryo said with a shrug. "Like ya said, there aren't a lot of them around and only weak ones really pop up. I ain't looking for anything to actually worry 'bout."

Ryo nodded her head and started to walk again. Standing around is fun and all, but she has a lot more wandering to get to. The day's only so long, and all this talking's wasting sunlight.

"If ya want to tag along until the next town, be my guest."

Hmm... What would she do if a strong Hollow randomly popped up? Run? Hide? Try to fight it? She's never thought about it that hard before. She feels she already knows the answer to that question, but there are probably variables that'd cause her mojo to sway. Well, anyway. No point ruminating. If her blind acquaintance decided to come along, they'd both just be headed to any form of civilization around.

Hmm... Perhaps she should tag along, it wasn't like she exactly had a destination in mind anyway and in truth... what's the harm that could come from it? So she shrugged and nodded "Sure, why not... 'Strength in numbers' or some such is the old saying right?" She never really was one for 'old sayings'... At least not of this kind.

Besides she didn't really know how strong this person was, or who they even really were in truth. But what she did know was there was truth to that old saying. So she began to follow the other, though in truth she wasn't much for conversation and didn't really know what else to talk about. She'd been so disconnected from everything for so long that her social skills were uh... lacking to say the least.
