2023 Q4 Drama of the Season Nominations

I'll get the ball rolling and say the Vandenreich for drama of the season, plotchannel aside, there is a conflicting interests between the many characters that make up the Vandenreich. There are those who still are hostile towards the presence of the Gotei's operations on Earth and those who are more neutral on them whether by necessity or not. Cooperative efforts such as the Fight Night and joint alliance in Africa will further test these feelings in-character.

Characters like Alastair who stands as a voice of authority view the greater good as being above the hostility towards the Gotei whereas characters like Liltotto, Akira, Reida (pre-defection; which you know is gonna be drama in itself soon lmao) are at odds with that. While Cyrus exists in the tight spot of needing to cooperate to avoid the Gotei coming down like a tonne of bricks but still being at odds with them.

Essentially this environment I feel is a hot pot of drama that will eventually need to be addressed or acted on in-character so I'll put the Vandenreich up for drama of the season.

Though this features combat somewhere in the middle and isn't drama spread out through a whole plot, this thread encompasses a multitude of impressive notes. Kita, who by this point, is a character is questioning her existence as a whole. Adalwolfa is assured in her beliefs and philosophy of overcoming one's existence and the hand life has dealt them, and I quite arguably love that clash of wills and mentalities, which is why this is an easy nomination for me.

I think for me it is the Vandenreich, whilst being an organisation and I haven't been here too long, there is an absolute mishmash of raw drama that is constantly on the knifes edge. The ideological differences aside, Alastair and Claudia's complicated dynamic has been an absolute treat. The way by extension Lukas acts with Cyrus, pushing that boundary on a daily basis. The Knightly Solomon clashing with the shady Akira. Liltotto and Helle's emotional reunion. ICly I think the story is very enriching because of this drama, they all work together for a cause but that inter-personal dynamic just adds so much depth to it.

If I had to allocate two characters for it to be upon though, Alaistair and Lukas definitely.
