[Takeshi vs Tsukino] Silent Descent: The Take Over of Cairo!(Main Storyline Event)

Mr. Sunshine continued to smile brightly, and innocently, at the shinigami as their blades clashed, a brief play of sparks from the collision and some kicked up sand. Tsukino pressed hard but his opponent pressed harder and he found himself staring into the man's eyes. Tsukino had no idea about the whole iron thing, he just saw eyes, although he thought that some people might find them frightening. Tsukino's own eyes were bright and innocent, just like his smile.

"Who am I?" Tsukino asked, as the man jumped backwards, getting some distance between them. He suddenly struck a pose of attention, saluting with the hand holding his sword, he called out brightly, "Tsukino Noburo, Liuetenant-commander of the Bronze Cross! People also call me Mr. Sunshine!" With that the sociopath let out a little innocent giggle. Then he suddenly rushed forward, running at full speed to attack in a quick barrage of swordstrokes.

Tsukino noted the man's skill, it seemed that this man had a fair measure of skill, then again he expected no less from a 3rd seat. Some people might be annoyed, or excited at the prospect of facing a skilled opponent, in truth Mr. Sunshine could care less. Such emotions, in fact all emotions, were beyond his comprehension. What he did do was keep smiling as his attacks were parried, he didn't see the trap though, not until the man was facing him upside down and firing a hadou.

The vizard did something then that was most unexpected and very unusual. In fact, he probably never would have thought of it if he'd had normal emotions. What he did was actually very, very simple. He let every muscle in his body relax and he crumpled like a sack of potatoes. The move immediately took him out of the path of the blast, which went to hit the ground behind him in an explosion of light. Others would have taken pride in coming up with such a clever evasive maneuver, but for Tsukino it was just a maneuver.

Now that he'd dodged the threat it was time to counterattack, but first he spoke in an astonishingly cheerful voice, "Kaihou Goshujin Tsume, Ryuuko!" (Release your claws, Ryuuko) This phrase was accompanied by extending his katana to the point where he could rest his left hand on the tip and then thrusting the sword into his left hand. However, instead of cutting it dissolved into a glowing mass of liquid that coated his left hand, forming into an intricate gauntlet. The gauntlet was intricately engraved with spirals, whorls, and strange runes. The tip of each finger of the gauntlet ended in a pointed claw.

Many would have balked at revealing their shikai so soon. Tsukino didn't really understand such hesitation, if you had power you should use it, with notable exceptions for obvious reasons. "Say hello to my shikai!" He called out cheerfully, saluting with his gauntleted left hand. Then, suddenly, long lines of reiatsu appeared next to the gauntlet, each line touched one of the claws of the gauntlet in their middle. Each of the lines ended in a point. Mr. Sunshine suddenly lashed out, even though he was several feet away, the strange lines extended, to reach out and slash the man like real claws, and they would do as much damage as a slash from someone in the fifth tier.

My, my, my this guy really liked kidou. That was fairly obvious considering the man shouted out what he was doing. This was bad, that attack would easily shatter Ryuuko's claws with five of them out there. The question was, should he simply unite them now or save that pretty little surprise until later? Strategy dictated, later, so instead he jumped to the left, just in time to see his opponent unleash another one of these lightning bolts towards him. Taking a chance Tsukino brought up his gauntlet, hoping that he'd catch the blast on that.

He did, the bolt struck his gauntlet full on, shattering the claws and pushing him backwards, but his shikai held firm against the attack. However, it seemed his opponent was not finished yet. Now he was going for a straight up attack, and he was already right in Tsukino's face. Engaging Mr. Sunshine in close-combat, what a horribly bad idea! There was a spray of sparks, as Tsukino grabbed Takeshi's blade with his gauntleted hand. Keeping it in place and having the point go to the side of his head. He let out a happy laugh in addition to his permanent smile as his right hand thundered forward for a powerful punch. This would be immediately followed by releasing the shinigami's blade in order to spin around and backhand the man with Ryuuko, although he hadn't reformed the claws yet, that metal hand should really hurt.
