AfriCatastrophe Arc Information & Tracker

In the early morning in late December 2122, the African continent that is the cradle of life from which humans came from brought forth a new kind of life to the world. For an unknown amount of time a hidden world lay buried under the continent of Africa and as the world has become more spiritually aware and empowered so too has this trial presented itself to the three worlds in the shape of unfamiliar monsters.

These monsters now push out from their pit, seemingly intent on conquest and destruction. If left unchecked, catastrophe is assured, perhaps not only for Africa, but for the Earth and even beyond.



Earthgrip Sushai
The most fearsome of the huge hollows that lead the vanguard of the incursion into the living world. Defeated by the joint efforts of the Sternritter Alastair Eisfluch and Liltotto Lamperd, and the First Division Vice-Captain Erika Masamune.

Letterboxer
Soaring through the skies, Letterboxer scattered her explosive dust over the wreckage of the capital city below until she was felled by the combined efforts of the Vandenreich's Lukas Ätherisch, Kokuto and Third Seat of the Eighth Division Mizu Morikawa.

Ringo D.
Running rampart through the ruined streets of the city from the sinkhole, the Honcho was felled by the combined efforts of Igendai Gyakusuma and Tento Zefa of the Gotei United with the aid of the Vandenreich's Solomon Richter.


Fire into the Horizon
In an attempt to investigate the hole and breach its secure perimeter an assault is launched by Kizuna Ishimaru who attacks the hole, the arrancar is met by resistance from the Gotei shinigami.

What Lurks Below
The Captain of the Gotei's Fifth Division, Yuuto Hisakawa, investigates the pit alone. In the process, he meets Asher the Empty Hearted, the self-proclaimed leader of the hollows which have climbed from the hole, and fights him to a stalemate, leading both to retreat with severe injuries.


Midnight Assault
The first strike, in the dead of night, is made by the mysterious Arrancar "Nahash" and the destructive Kizuna Ishimaru. After a pitched battle against the Vandenreich Administrators Alastair Eisfluch and Johann Arant, the Arrancar prove victorious, forcing the Quincy to retreat while, though not without leaving the Arrancar with some wounds to deal with.

Ashes to Ashes, We All Fall Down
At the sound of battle, the bloodthirsty Kanae Nagoshi, Captain of the Gotei's Fourth Division, answers the call. However, on the field of battle she clashes with the leader of the invading hollows, Asher the Empty-Hearted. The battle pushes them both to their greatest extremes, and both combatants are forced to retreat without a victor.

Heaven's Light
Metatron, one of Asher the Empty-Hearted's strongest combatants, steps onto the battlefield, destroying all in his path for what he perceives as blasphemy. Shura Kurata and Lerna of the Gotei face the angelic hollow in battle, but quickly find themselves outmatched, and are ultimately left with little choice but to retreat.

Beauties and the Beasts
On the hunt for information, the diminutive Klein and the battle-hungry Amaranta Valeria find themselves in the middle of the chaos, and prove plenty willing to cut down whatever is in their way. This offensive is met by Kaminari Hatakeyama and Tento Zefa, and while the battle puts the combatants to the test, the Arrancar narrowly prove victorious, forcing the shinigami to retreat.

Search and Destroy
Looking for any hint that one of the mythic Rings of the Dead might be present or involved in the hole that has opened, Ignacio Vega finds himself locked in combat with the Vandenreich's Lukas Atherisch. The battle between the two is gruesome and brutal, which ends in the Quincy critically wounded and Ignacio injured as he continues his search.

Their Misery, Our Gain
On behalf of his Queen, the Vasto Lorde Rey steps onto the field of battle, cutting a swath through the defenders. The Vandenreich's Liltotto Lamperd and Natasha Miller make a defense against the Hollow, but his natural strength, atop the legions of other Hollows at his disposal, proves too grave a threat, and the Quincy are forced to retreat.

Blood Under the Moon
In the defense of both the people and her own assets, Rita Grace of Gracen Arms fights against the hollows overrunning the earth above. However, the Arrancar Sabre Talif steps in to interrupt, and after a heated fight, Sabre finds victory, kidnapping Rita to bring her to Hueco Mundo.

Tear Down the Sky
Among the hollows which invade the surface from below, one in particular proves particularly dangerous and mindless. Avian and mad, the hollow cut a vicious path through the battlefield. Though not without struggle, the Hollow is eventually crushed by the combined efforts of the Gotei's Elyss Kishimoto and the vagrant Alex Vaugrenard. However, their victory proves to mean little in the grand scheme of things, and they are forced to retreat regardless.

In the Shadow of Titans
Among the Arrancar who appear, one Cala Paracer seems disinclined to do battle. After being met with the Gotei's Hayden Cemplus and Hono Kaen, the three hold a brief conversation, before the Arrancar departs without a further word.


Due to the accessibility of this plotline, there are no specific protagonist needs when it comes to arc characters. However, arc characters for the antagonistic side are more than welcome, and will of course be necessary to push things along. Currently, two types of characters are being looked for in arc characters.

The first of these is any Hollow Kaiju. These are straightforward, and serve the primary role of fighting on the frontlines in Hollow Earth threads. Their role is not necessarily guaranteed to end in a single thread, as some can be expected to be strong enough to win fights.

The second of these arc characters are characters who have fallen under the dominion of the hollow encroachment, and who have gained Hollow power while serving under Asher. This can be a willing alignment, or simply a character who has been forcibly corrupted and dragged into service.


As the first storyline to be pursued using the new arc system, it is naturally expected that there will be questions and road bumps along the way. Please speak with staff about any questions or concerns.
