Unknown beginnigs [ Tento | Fu ]

Well…that didn't work. "Wow wow. No.one would do that to ya just for saying the organization name wrong or adding things to it", Tento said, giving a momentary pause. A few seconds of thoughts, remembering a person, and then wondering about the numerous massive number of people within. "Probably. Hopefully". He said in a breaking reality of well, ya never knew with whoever ya met. It was a military organization and with how she sounded it first it seemed cartoonist and more otherly than how it actually operated. Hopefully his explanation gave a clear understanding of how they functioned though!

Such a dark joke though. The ebony man had to take it seriously and hope to conul and worry about that. Her giggle showed that that concern wasn't needed though strangely. Such a cute sound couldn't be made in a moment of fear right??

"What?", he said in a straightforward surprise. In her moments of thinking and gathering. He had expected an interesting answer. A piece that could focus their conversation to a higher enjoyable level. Only to get an answer that was simple and as well as wavering in astoundment. She was just like Hanako!

Sorta.

"You don't, have one? So you really gave one yourself because you had to. Well. Okay then, Shou", he said after a blink and rub of his chin. Absorbing the shock of the sudden need but given the surfing connecting situation wise to someone who was organically a close friend. Best friend even perhaps. It helped a lot.

After that he blinked again at her sudden proposition. The girl bragging of her godly skills of arcade games. Before grabbing him by the arm and trying to pull him along. Only for him.to.not budge an inch.

He had a grin and a short laugh about it. He hadn't been to an arcade in what felt like decades. Hmmmm…

"Alright alright. I'll let the goddess show me how its done",vhe said, finally making it easier for her as he relaxed his muscles and let her pull him. Showing a bit of exaggeration to make anyone who watched think she was a pint size beast of strength while he took his steps along going with the flow.

Such an unique human…

Bloody hilarious! Shou was having a time of her life as she suddenly bursted out laughing. It was her first time being called a goddess, even though she did call her boss that once when they first met too but how the tables have turned - now someone has used it on her instead!

Wiping the tears off her eyes as she calms down, she would give him a few rough smacks on his back with a big smile on her face.

"You're exaggerating! A goddess? You know your way around with words, aren't 'cha?"

After that exchange of words, she found herself suddenly being able to pull him along with her whims. Did she suddenly gain some sort of awakening to superhuman strength!? Nah.. as if. He was just following along with Shou's antics, albeit exaggerating a bit to the point where it was just catching the eyes of passerbys as she was practically dragging him to the nearest arcade she can find.

Still, its good to see a fella who knows how to have a bit of a fun.

Soon they would reach a bustlin' arcade, rowdy and full of people with tons of different arcade machines: shooters, rhythm games, fighting games and many more! But the most eyecatching of them all was those famous pachinko machines! Though as much as she'd love to splurge her luck on them, she doesn't have the bucks for it.

Letting him go for a bit and exaggerating her posture with arms wide open and eyes glittering at the entrance of the arcade, she would suddenly shout with energy and even get some weird looks here and there, maybe a few whispers about her being crazy.

"Welcome! To! The! Aaaaarcaaaadeee!!"

Without wasting her time, Shou would grab him by the arms and continue pulling him right into the arcade. Where to? There! Zoning into the fighting games! Those machines with a joystick and buttons! The ◯◯◯ken!

Jumping over to the cabinet and towards one of the controls, she would lightly tap her fingers against the desk of the machine and gestured him to come over with a smug look on her face.

"We'll play this. Let me show ya' how its done by my super duper pro skills."

Goofy times for happy lives. That was a thought as Shou let out another jumping wave of giggles and laughter. Hm. Never would have known such a silly light compliment could have such an effect on a person. Call it her own nature or her young likely. For Tento didn't expect this many laughs for him trying to talk normally. This was so much more effective than him deliberately telling bad corny jokes that you had to hate yourself for laughing at.

Well. When in a river go with the flow, or something like that. "Maybe a little bit. But hey, a little bit of exaggeration spices up the laugh and gets a few good laughs", he jesters with one hand in a small circle towards Sho. "Like so". He said fully content, after taking a few rough pats on his back letting himself be pulled along. With a bit of show of course. THE GOOFBALL WAS HOME!!

There were plenty of games he had never seen before though. Nor heard before. But he couldn't help but think he saw Sho eyeing some of the games with more interest than the others. Regardless it seemed the action was started for Sho let out what was practically a warrior's kai in Tento's opinion. Her small frame out in a wide stance. Open and challenging even and eyes sparkling with a child-like excitement. It was cute. A type of cute that was rare for Tento; he found it simply adorable!

He laughed. Laughed and laughed as the looks came and even whispers. This girl was a hoot! Heck what anyone else thought, she was living perfectly fine causing no issue. Good life with good times enjoying her youth. "Well that was quite an entrance. Is this what the call out to one's domain?", Tento said attempting a light joke as he felt her grab him by the arms and lead him on another pull chain tour. Her slid in before he bent over and slid into his own spot. His large hands were grabbing the joystick and hovering over the buttons. Turning to face her, before the clash of the ages began. Before the duo unleash a storm to gather crowds and children from all countries. Tento had one question and one question only for her!

"So….do we put in coins or do we have to buy something?".

Ah. Right. Coins.

"I completely forgot."

With a blank stare, Shou had the realization that she was too excited to get the game going until the thought of getitng the tokens first completely slipped her mind. Awkwardly laughing, she would make haste towards one of the machines that was made to exchange money for coins to use at the arcade. Opening her wallet, she would witness.. true hell.

Yes.. despite finally having a job with Rita, she realized she wasn't paid a penny yet and would have to ask her boss for some allowance. With recent trainings and all, her spendings went up considerably because of the nature of her power. Therefore.. there was only a thousand yen left in her wallet.

"Looks like I'll have to starve until payday.."

Talking to herself with tears, she reluctantly shoved the little money she had left into the machine and let the coins fall into a box that she prepared to hold them; picking them up and finally went back to Tento's side.

She didn't waste her time to chuck the coins into the machine for the both of them to able to start the game and had her hands back to the controls once she was done. Looking towards Tento with a smirk on her face and filled with overflowing confidence, she was ready to get it going this time.

"Sorry for making ya' wait. Now then, let me show you what I got!!"

With this confidence of hers, it would fool anyone into thinking that she might be really good at fighting games. Afterall, she is a pro at it, right? Right?

Well.. its subjective.

Once both of them were done picking their characters, Shou would just proceed in just randomly mashing buttons and moving the stick around. Maybe to the human eyes, she would look like a professional player who knows what she's doing but in reality.. she was just taking advantage of her superhuman speeds. Not only she's fast physically but in reaction as well, so all she needed to do was to dodge in time and smash all the buttons in hopes that it'll hit.

Simply speaking, she lacks any mechanical skills to play fighting games and were just relying on pure instinct and reaction to play. Beating newbies like this had made her go off on her high horse.

"Hahahahaha!! Behold!! My godly skills!!"

Well this little young lady was the exciting type. Perhaps even a little bit qu8ck to move from topic to topic or event to event. So oh well, she had forgotten about the coins. That blank stare though showed that the full gravity of it slipping her mind crashed upon her.

He just watched as she gave a nervous awkward laugh as she hustled away towards one of the machines. He rested leaning against the machine, arm on one and the other scratching his cheek with a finger. Hmmm, she was there for a bit. He wasn't close enough to hear what she was saying. Curious? What was the teen doing to cause such a time delay?

Eh.

Giving a welcoming smile back as Sho hustled and nested herself back into the machine. The bright smirk on her face oozing with confidence did well to rev the competitive spirit of the ebony Shinigami. "Thats okay. It gave you more time to prepare to lose", Tento said with a lighthearted voice. Brimming with a laid-back confidence and competitive energy. His fingers flexing as he put his eyes in the prize. GLORIOUS VICTORY IN FRIENDLY COMPETITION.

Would he actually be good at this game though? Ah….well. Press press press, swish. Swish. Up up down left right A forward! Huh…that old combo still worked in the game??

Not a gamer nor an athlete. Tento was a man that did well enough exploring both sides of his body when he was alive. Basketball and video games are his favorite areas. Especially fighting games or strategy role-playing. Those got his creative juice really flowing! Not a pro or God tier gamer by any means. He always viewed himself as a nicely experienced guy, a hit above average in skill. His only saving grace was noticing habits and reading people's lives. Making guesses or calculations to predict and counter movements!

This girl must be some gamer though. As a regular human she was moving with a blinding speed that was superhuman! Fast inputs and almost faster reactions. Almost to the point that he has to move his body as fast as he could fully. But in a grin he leaned forward. Trying his best to match her speedy inputs and reactions!

"Wooow girl. You can move those fingers!". Smack smack smack sounded as a few of her character's strikes landed onto Tento's fighter.

Now even her competitive spirit is getting riled up. Hearing him say those words was a declaration of war against her and she wasn't gonna let it go.

"Hoo-! You got guts saying those words to me! Then let's raise the stakes!"

She doesn't have the skills to be a good gamer but with her random mashing on the buttons and irregular movement on the joysticks, there's nothing more scary than the unpredictability of the player. While Tento got a number of hits on her fighter to the point of half health, she found a chance to counterattack, combo after combo as she used raw speed and reaction to keep his fighter helplessly stuck in the air and finished the game off with an ultimate to his demise.

Of course, this was their first game and nothing but a warm-up match.

She didn't hesitate to put in the next set of coins to begin the next match, picking up a pair of spare coins and placed them on the cabinet in the space between them.

"Bet. Next game, winner gets a free lunch."

That was her motive. She was hella broke and if they are gonna duke it out, then she better get some food while she's at it. Ain't no way she's losing, ain't no way.

The moment she made that bet, there was a sudden surge of spiritual power around her and suddenly, one of the coins she was touching earlier had disappeared. Shou used her power, selling the coin in exchange for heightened senses. While it doesn't help her become a better player, it would at least let her.. mash buttons better?

Cheating? Maybe. But she wasn't going to leave him in the dark about it since lying isn't really her thing either.

"I'm telling you first, I am using my powers for this. So you better go all out yourself."

Game. Start!

"I got plenty of guts and more little lady~". He liked the spunk this young lady had in her! His challenging words only stoked the competive flame in her belly, a sight that only made him grin like a proud older brother as he titled his head at her roaring amused voice. "Ohhhh? Raise the stakes only after a couple of combos on me eh?", ah....oh how he loved some friendly light trash talking. Now if he could just back it up and give her a nice, enjoyable, challenge.

"You're on!", Tento said in a happy challenge, taking the...messy juggling as it was with a smooth roll off his back. He just had to not let her do those cheap moves again. Maybe a different character with more of a mid game and projectile mix? A few escape options too,,,

"AND. I will even throw in me buying you a desert when I win. You gonna need something sweet to swallow defeat, eheheh",

In the next few moments after this banter, Tento had a curious gaze come to his face as he watched one of the coins she had just put down. Well, disappear! Her words making the off duty Shinigami all so curious. Was she a high spec human or a fullbringer? Whatever the textbooks called them, one of those humans with special powers. So cool and lucky, Tento did not have anything of that sort when he was alive. "Oh ho ho. You flatter me, having to result to that to stand a chance to me? You must really want this big guy to be you lunch", Tento teased before releasing a small hnt of his energy. Using it to further his focus and energize his actions and reactions.

With his gamer face on he would not make this match as easy or one sided on her as last time. Hopefully plenty of fun for both of them though. He would not rush in on this go, instead he would take his time in his approach. Making gradual steps of closing in going back and forth with throwing weak projectiles and just making her guess if he would. Sprints running to close the distance only to retreat back before reaching in to draw her out before going in for a few hits to softened her up for a combo. Not a perfect attempt surely due to her improved movement speed and quirky random actions. But it was not something he could not keep up with or surpass at times. It would be who would get that edge just then.. That one moment of lucky. Reading her habits would be hard though, first day meeting her and this style was extremely a challenge, but he could only watch and try and pick up anything small that could draw a hint!
