Just a Fox Having Fun in Japan! [Ikari/Aiko]

Ah, Japan! Ikari's technical home turf! Sure, she's a Danava so that means she doesn't have a "home" area, but as far as she was concerned that was Japan. Born as a young fox in the place, and intelligent Kitsune, she was more than capable of taking care of herself; hunting what animals she may find taste nice. Albeit, she does quite enjoy using her foxy wiles, literally, to charm anyone who might be able to give her a scrap of food for a poooor starving fox~! It wasn't a horrible thing to do, per say, but it at least allowed her the capability to get some free food with little effort. It also helped she was lightning quick for moments where she was turned away by some angry cook or some asshole who thought she was an evil spirit. Damn superstitious humans...

Regardless, Ikari's aimless wanderings carried the fox to a particular someone's apartment. Her impeccable senses, both the normal ones and the supernatural ones, told her that a being of some power lived here! It also smelled... odd. Like a being not of this world had visited. But it was a fading scent, and likely of no concern. Ikari simply shrugged mentally and worked up an act of weariness and hunger. This lead to the little fox, barely bigger than a fennec fox, to scratch upon the door to the apartment; whimpering and whining quite pitifully. Hopefully, this person would have some food for her! Then again, if they grew wise to what Ikari actually was... thaaat would make things complicated quite quickly indeed.

Then again... maybe she could get a friend too! A girl could always use that~

Lazy morning.

Aiko was on her couch watching anime, eating cereal, and being content in her little world. After a long work week, the woman wanted to relax and watch something to numb her mind. She had done everything from training, traveling, seeing her family, and trying to keep in contact with some of her new friends. It was honestly pretty exhausting, and it was one of those days where she wanted to zone out.

However, despite that desire, something was gnawing at her door. Not sure what the hell it was; Aiko was weirded out but figured it would be better to get up and check things out. So after putting down her cereal, Aiko jumped to the door, opened it, and......found a pink fox?

Blink, blink.

Aiko gazed down at Ikari for a few moments before tilting her head.

"....are you the one making all that noise?"

Really, how long would she need to scratch at this door while whining and crying up a storm? She was doing a perfect pitiful foxy face along with the whines being at the perfect pitch to be adorably pitiful and not painfully annoying. Yet, whomever lived here appeared to be going a little slow; that or they could properly sense what she was and wasn't going to open up. Either way, Ikari kept at it for just a little bit longer until, finally! The door opened with a squeak of hinges, and out came a rather goth looking woman. Ikari looked up at her, hearing the words she said quite clearly. Yes she was the one making all the noise. However, as she was currently pretending the role of an animal that couldn't speak english, Ikari simply gave Aiko the big sad eyes; whining pitifully before the little pink fox walked tentatively forward and rubbed up against Aiko's leg.

However, the fact that the fox was pink was likely one of the least concerning things if Aiko noticed how many tails Ikari had. Not just one poofy tail, she had five, five tails that swayed in a gentle rhythm of anticipation. Given Ikari was relying on her tricksy nature, she was hoping that Aiko would take her inside and offer her some food. After all, the little fox was looking terribly pitiful! Ikari gave a few extra pitiful whines as she expressed, physically, how glad she was to see someone who could give her some food; gently nuzzling against Aiko's leg much like a cat.

It was perfectly clear, well hopefully, that Ikari was a harmless little fox who appeared to be somewhat unnatural; but all she wanted was some food! Just a little bit of something to help get some fat on the ribs of the poor little fox. Besides! She was perfectly potty trained. Then again, Aiko didn't know that... If she didn't question too hard what Ikari was, all she knew was that Ikari was one very odd looking fox; potentially kitsune. Who knows! But, Ikari did look very hungry.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Aiko had her blood gaze linger down at the strange, pink-furred fox creature below as it continued to brush and stroke it's head against her leg with all it's five tails in toe. From the looks of it, it certainly didn't look like anyone's pet and hearing the whines it made at least told Aiko that it was probably hungry. So, after taking a few more passing glances around to see if this fox's owner or something was around, Aiko shrugged and opened her door.

"Uh, c'mon little...girl? I assume you are a girl. Let's get something to eat."

Motioning for the creature to come inside, Aiko vaguely recalled foxes having a really diverse diet. They were pro-hunters and could eat anything from mice, worms, birds and other sources of meat. But, seeing how this one was more tender looking, perhaps feeding it some fruit and berries would be the better call.

So, if the creature followed, she would close the door, walk into the kitchen, and offer it some small pieces of fruit in the form of strawberries to eat.

"I guess you are hungry?"

The door was open, and Ikari's little fox eyes seemed to brighten at this acceptance! She purred gently, rubbing against Aiko's legs before she let the woman walk. Her tails seemed to be a bit more perked up now as they weaved their five toned dance, making a tiny pleased chirruping noise as she was called a girl; which seemed to at least be the correct gender. This Aiko lady was smart! Ikari gladly followed her through the house, staying quite mindful of Aiko's feet. Strong or not, getting a paw stepped on would not feel good!

Such were the reasons why, when they had finally alighted inside of the kitchen, Ikari looked around the room with curious eyes. She could really go for some meat, honestly speaking... a good steak or maybe some bird or some-such. However, Ikari was presented with fruit. The little fox tilted her head at the fruit before the scent wafted to her nose; and that same odd shine seemed to enter her eyes once again. Strawberries! An odd squeaking noise came from the little fox as she positively attacked the strawberries in a display of obvious hunger. The first couple strawberries disappeared with speed, vanishing between Ikari's jaws and into her gullet. However, the remaining strawberries were savored, enjoyed at a slower pace until none remained. Thankfully, for her small size, it was a perfect meal. The little fox stretched herself after having enjoyed that meal and then looked up at Aiko. After tilting her head a little bit, Ikari jumped on top of a nearby counter, and then leaped onto Aiko's shoulder from there.

She displayed a surprising amount of balance and dexterity as Ikari gave the woman's cheek a swift lick, a kiss of thanks. Then, without any preamble, the little fox seated herself upon Aiko's shoulder; seemingly happy to remain there for longer than just to deliver thanks! The question was, how long until Ikari was found out? Her mannerisms, while completely animalistic, were tinged with an intelligence that most foxes, most animals for that matter, don't just have. Regardless, Ikari seemed quite proud of herself... And was wondering just when would be the right time to thank the woman for feeding her. After all, talking foxes, legends of Kitsune or no, don't exactly inspire... confidences.

Phew. That was a relief! It seems like the fox took the fruit and seemed content to rest on Aiko's shoulder. Though, this did cause her to blink for a few moments before gently petting the creature's head.

"I guess you like it...?"

With a tilt of her head, Aiko just stared at the creature for a moment. After that short pause passed, she tickled its nose and plopped down on her couch.

"Hmmmmm, now what do I do with you? Never taken care of a fox before...."

Now gently grabbing the fox, she moved it toward her lap before stroking its head and giving it a few repeat pets as she used her energy to levitate another box of fruits to her side. When the box came, she offered another serving of fruit as she figured the thing was hungry.

"...are you comfortable there, little girl?"

Yes, indeed Ikari did quite enjoy sitting on Aiko's shoulder! An unapparelled view of her little home was what she gained from it! Besides, she enjoyed being pampered and taken care of like this. She nuzzled into Aiko's hand as it pat her on the head, her ears folding back gently to allow better access to pet her head. Afterwards, Ikari purred pleasantly, easily maintaining her balance upon Aiko's shoulder. Albeit, Ikari did make a tiny sneeze after her nose was tickled. That's a sensitive spot you know!

Ikari, frankly speaking, was more than happy to remain completely silent, well aside from all the purring and fox noises, but Aiko kept talking to her. Ikari knew, subconsciously, she would eventually slip up and speak without meaning to. However, for now, the Danava enjoyed the pets, and acted a bit like a cat when she was picked up and then placed into Aiko's lap; where she curled up almost immediately. Her five tails tucked against her body as she sniffed curiously at the box of fruits, her purrs causing her body to vibrate slightly as Aiko gave her the best pets and some more fruit to eat. This wasn't bad at all~ She purred, her purrs only really being interrupted when she snacked on a bit of fruit as it was given to her by Aiko; occasionally giving the woman's hand a lick of thanks.

Finally, during Aiko's last question, Ikari's caution to maintain her charade had finally slipped enough to cause her to slip up in kind.

"Yes~"

Frankly speaking, it was very brief speech, and Ikari didn't even fully realize she had spoke. Hell, she was still eating a strawberry Aiko had offered her. Albeit, depending on how believing Aiko could be, she might think the fox just happened to make a noise that sounded like a 'yes'. Albeit, with how articulate the yes was, that would likely be hard to believe. Hopefully, Aiko wouldn't react poorly. So far, Ikari really liked how nice Aiko was, and she didn't want to get kicked out for being a talking fox; Kitsune, humanoid, and Danava stuff aside.

.....huh?

While it was cute and all, Aiko was shocked to see that a "yes" had slipped out of the mouth of the fox sitting on her lap. Was she hallucinating? Did somebody drug her? Or was she overreacting?

Hmmmmm, considering the supernatural world they lived in, Aiko shouldn't be as surprised as she was. Yet, she looked stumped and blinked for a while at the creature before raising her eyebrow and trying to prod deeper into things.

"...are you capable of talking or something? Why didn't you say something if you did?"

Dumbfounded, the woman wasn't angry, just more confused that the fox wouldn't just choose to talk to better communicate her needs.

Ikari finally realized, after maybe a bit too long, that she had talked out loud without really meaning to. The little fox didn't react, well aside from stiffening, even her five soft tails had ceased their rhythmic movements. She tried to play it off, however it was quite obvious that Aiko had noticed. Ohhh boy, here we go again. Just like everyone else, they were about to freak out just because she could talk. The little fox's purple eyes looked up at Aiko, noticing her expression, and was just about ready to bolt before the woman had time to speak. However, Ikari did not move if only for how Aiko still seemed so... calm. Ikari raised her head cautiously, and then swiftly tilted her head at the woman and cocked an eyebrow of her own.

Eventually, Aiko seemed to question Ikari, and the little fox, still wanting to get pets, let out a soft sigh and sat up within Aiko's lap; moving so she was essentially sitting on the woman's calves and ankles, her front paws on Aiko's thighs.

"It's much easier to pretend to be just a fox when enough people react poorly to a pink fox with five tails that can also talk. I wanted some food and didn't want to get run out; I guess I'm just lucky I ran into someone who is more open-minded..."

Another sigh escaped the fox as she suddenly flopped down into Aiko's lap, her head pressing against the woman's stomach without much care in the world. Right now, Ikari had no problem at all with just being a fox and not being a woman for the moment. Now that, that would probably freak out Aiko for real, her turning into a woman and all. But, for now Ikari kept up being a fox, dropping a few pretenses that she had before.

"... Thank you for the fruit, it was delicious. I'm Ikari, by the way. It’s nice to meet someone who doesn’t chuck me out the second they see me~"

Phew. Okay. She wasn't on drugs. That was a relief to Aiko that she wasn't just hearing things.

"That's odd, but I guess you are right. People like cute animals, after all."

Seeming relaxed at the prospect so far, Aiko then gave a roll of her shoulders before briefly rubbing the ear of Ikari and staring down at the fox before speaking again.

"Uhhhh, nice to meet you too, Ikari."

After munching on the fruit herself, Aiko let the sweet food roll down her tongue and into her gut before tilting her head to the side and talking once more.

"But no, I wouldn't kick an animal out if they aren't vicious. I don't understand why people can be cruel to animals since they are innocent. I hope that isn't a common thing, Ikari."
