Seaside Fight Night: Elyss vs. Shaoling

As the Sho rocketed toward Shaoling, her expression shifted to a firm, decided scowl. She'd been ill-prepared for that kind of retaliation after the way the fight had gone. Twice now she'd underestimated an opponent, and twice she'd paid the price for it. She knew that any bystander would surely consider this a resounding win for her, but Shaoling wouldn't accept that in her mind. As the kido rocketed her back, and she skidded to a halt only barely still inside the arena, Shaoling's pride refused to allow her to call that a victory.

Wincing in pain as she continued to bleed out, her shunko no longer holding back the full danger of having severed her own foot, Shaoling willingly stepped out of the arena's bounds. She would win on her own terms. She would prove that the Gotei had fallen beneath her on her own terms.

This battle was a draw, and she had only herself to blame. She took another step, then two, and then fell unconscious. Perhaps it was better than being left to stew in her seething anger, at least.
