Cold and rain, such miserable weather. Many with common sense try to stay out of the ugly stuff, yet there was still an allure in such loathsome backdrops as this for souls with a different perception of reality. The isolation brought peace, the endless drops of wain cleansed the soul, and the slowing down of energy meant one could go at their leisure through the murky depths of this glum-ish day.
It was such a wonderful serenity~
As time passed, a woman who seemed as grim as the weather in the forest emerged from a dense collection of trees to an open footing that overlooked a meadow. Being able to see the endless expense of forest life, mountains, and the endless outlands ahead, the bloody eyes of the woman twinged into a soft smile as she seemed lost in the sights.
"I...have to be more careful."
Well, that serenity was short-lived. In a matter of moments, from the same place where the woman emerged, a small hollow akin to a rabid dog was seen squirming around; as if being dragged by her energy. It snarled and barked at the woman as it was all chained up in rich crimson blood and was hungering to devour her whole.
"I just wanted to have a peaceful walk...."
Pouting to herself, the woman's arms shook as she wasn't sure what to do with them. It looked animal-like, so was it right to slay it? Should she get a shinigami? Or let it go? Hmm, damn, she just wanted to have some peace.
"It's so cute..."
Muttering for a few moments, Aiko's eyes lingered before turning around and sensing something was off. With a quiet sucking of her teeth, she turned around to see what it was.
"...shit. Now what?"
Something else was around the corner, so Aiko wondered if the hollow had attracted other enemies. What a pain.

The rain and cold... yes... Quite the horrible weather especially when you like the warmth far better. Even if Kanako's blood may no longer run cold, her reptilian habits still caused her to seek out warmth where possible; even if she didn't need it. However, because of this knowledge of not needing to seek out warmth just because, it caused Kanako to wrestle with herself silently while she trudged through this odd forest, called the Karakura Forest, near a city that was quite deadly to her kind. As long as she didn't get too close... she should be fine. Unfriendly or not, Kanako wasn't going to just trudge up to a well protected human settlement like she was one of them. Arrancar don't exactly get warm welcomes from humans nor Shinigami, after all. Hell, Arrancar barely gave other Arrancar warm welcomes. So, she trudged on, doing her best not to run into tree branches; as the top of her head often came up to meet most of them. Her Zanpakuto was also a problem, because it's large size meant she had to be very mindful of it; so she didn't get it stuck on any trees.
Eventually, the Arrancar's nose twitched, her pupils contracting into slits as her vision briefly reddened. She smelled blood, and it caused her senses to briefly go haywire before her higher intelligence brought everything into greater control; Kanako's breath briefly ragged as she shook her head carefully. These instincts of hers... They were troublesome at the best and worst of times. She may not need to feed any more, not like she used to, but it was a pain in the ass to get used to. Her tail flicked about in impatience before the Arrancar resumed her walk, this time to find the source of the smell; which her nose guided her towards expertly.
And she found them. A human, by the looks of her, had a hollow ensnared in something that looked crimson... blood, perhaps? Maybe that's what set off Kanako. If it was human blood, that could be part of the reason why Kanako reacted so sharply, regardless, she had indeed "come around the corner" to this woman. Tilting her head in minor curiosity, Kanako kept the distance between herself and the woman for both of their sakes; not wanting to have to fight someone right now just because she just met them. Given their powers, Kanako was certain that this woman could be a pain; assuming she was assuming right her powers had to do something with blood. Not to mention, the dog hollow was quite the nuisance, barking, struggling, and making all sorts of noise... can't she just kill it before it attracts MORE? Kanako simply shook her head gently and peered at the woman, her yellow eyes piercing excellently through the gloom.
"Are ya plannin' on playin' with that forever? The more it yaps, the more hollow may come. Ya seem smart, if not odd for a human... Ya should kill it before more come. Or at least shut it up... It's barkin' is annoyin'..."
Ya know... the Rain wasn't so bad after all... After all, where there was rain, there was normally thunder... and where there was thunder, there was lighting.

Aiko -- you are an idiot sandwich.
That is the only thought which ran through the woman's head as she sheepishly looked up at the giant Arrancar ahead of her. There was no way in hell she could combat whatever the hell that thing was if things got violent. So, for a few moments, Aiko was paralyzed with uncertainty, fear, and hesitation before just deciding to gulp and deal with the situation since she didn't seem too aggressive.
"Uh......hi?"
...smart.
After shaking her head, Aiko continued.
"No. I don't want to play forever. I have a hard time killing animals. Monsters and evil humans are easier, but it's just a pup to me. It feels too cruel to kill it."
...wait a second, she was an Arrancar. Couldn't she...dump it back to Hueco Mundo? Surely she had some ability if she was smart enough to talk. Some of them were just mindless creatures, after all.
"Uhhhhhhh, and since I wasn't planning to kill it, can you take it back to Hueco Mundo or something? Pretty please?"
Pointing at the yapping dog, Aiko nodded. It was her best shot at avoiding a gruesome end.

Frankly speaking, it's to be expected for someone to be nervous when an eight foot tall Arrancar just strolls up on you; especially when said Arrancar seems to have a mane of hair; which is quite subdued thanks to the rain. A raised eyebrow was all that Aiko got in response for her request, at first. Kanako soon nodded her head after considering her request. Afterwards, Kanako looked towards the hollow dog... It was kinda cute. Maybe she could send it back to her home in Hueco Mundo... first, however... She glared pointedly at the hollow dog, causing it to shut up surprisingly swiftly. She nodded at it, and carefully pulled it away from Aiko's abilities and opened up a Garganta; which led to her house. After encouraging the hollow dog to walk through it, even having to get stern with it to make it go, the Arrancar eventually looked back at Aiko and tilted her head. During that whole time, Aiko would likely notice how careful her movements were. They weren't lumbering, but far more graceful as if she had long since practiced taking care when she moved about; as if she was trying not to bring harm on accident.
"So... What's a human doing in a forest like this? Hollow infested and all... Power or no, it's not somethin' ya should just... do."
Kanako looked at the woman a bit longer, considering her carefully. Would her soul be a nice snack? Obviously. All human souls with some modicum of power were like that. But... Kanako disliked being alone, and right now she wanted to talk to this human more than anything; especially now that she had mastered her instinctual urges when she smelled blood. Eventually, however, Kanako briefly remembered that humans normally would introduce themselves... Then again, Arrancar did the same thing sometimes. It was still a weird concept, however...
"I'm Kanako, by the way... Kanako Hashimoto. Nice to meet ya, human."

Uhhhhh, that was awkward.
Hmmmmm, Aiko thought they would be on the same page since they were both hollows, but it looked like the dog had more protest than she thought. But, hey, it was better he got back home in one piece than killed by her. She just assumed Arrancar and Hollow's would work together better, especially since that seemed more like a pet than anything else.
So, after a few blinks, the blood-eyed woman looked up and down at Kanako as there was still the issue with the massive 8-foot-tall Arrancar standing in front of her. It was a long way back from the city from this point, and while she was nimble, the hollow looked strong as there was still a look of uncertainty and nervousness flustering across her flushed face.
"It's...pretty outdoors. Wouldn't you agree?"
Speaking in a low tone, Aiko coughed and spoke louder as she knew she needed to assert herself a bit more, even if this was an awkward exchange.
"And...I, uh, can handle myself. So don't worry about that."
If anything, it was the other way around for Aiko regarding who should be concerned with who. Even if they weren't in the city, weren't hollow and Arrancar sometimes hunted by shinigami? And with all those muscles, that energy, and the stench of death, if anything, Kanako should be the one keeping a lower profile than some meek human girl like herself. But, those thoughts were kept to herself.
"Uhhhhhh, I'm Aiko Aimi. And why are you here? Shouldn't...you be in Hueco Mundo or something?"

Frankly speaking, Kanako didn't know enough about human social constructs to really understand that this was an awkward situation. She just thought it was a situation with a little hollow that had obviously tried to bite off more than it could chew; oh, and the human girl who seemed to have the scent of blood radiating from her despite the lack of injury. Kanako was glad she was ready for the scent now, otherwise it would've been completely overpowering. Now, however, it was like a notion in the back of her brain that was slowly faded as she grew used to the scent. However, she was swiftly distracted by the woman speaking, which caused Kanako to blink at her first initial comment; or question really. She chuckled some, her head raising to the sky, causing her untindy, oddly spiky, mane of hair to stand out the tiniest bit thanks to the relief it was thrown into by a web of lightning.
"Yes... you could say that. The storms of the human world are something to behold..."
Eventually, Kanako's gaze lowered to the ground and to Aiko, who she gave a well meaning smile; even if her, well, everything didn't exactly inspire confidences. As she looked at the girl, realizing how acutely she was paying to her surroundings now, she did decide it was for the best to diminish her presence a bit. It helped fend off unruly hollows looking for a scrap, but she didn't want to attract a Shinigami and then cause an extreme misunderstanding. Regardless, the Arrancar shrugged at Aiko's question and statement, her tail flicking gently behind her; which did kick up a tiny splash of water nonetheless.
"You could say that Aiko, I suppose... But, it's not like I'm looking for a fight or anything. And I much prefer this place to Hueco Mundo. There's actual bodies of water instead of just sand... sand... and oh yeah, sand. It's a friggin' blessing to be able to come up here and I'm not about to ruin it by starting shit. I mean, where else are ya goin' to find a body of water as big as Earth's Oceans? Talk about the best place to take a nap undisturbed..."
After Kanako spoke she found that, much to her minor disappointment, the storm had begun to lighten; even the flashes of lightning and claps of thunder started to show the storm's age. However, as she stood there, contemplating the energy she was now feeling. Perhaps another being who had found her and was curious? Or perhaps a trick of her mind. After all, her olfactory senses were still filled with a bloody scent, and the rain had spoiled what remaining trackable scents there were. Simply, for the time being, Kanako remained aware.
"Ya sure you're goin' to be okay out here alone? If your energy was enough to attract that yappy little thing, I'm certain this forest holds very little safety for either of us..."

The Unrefined Paragon
It began as a whispering in the air. A shift in the presence of the would that...pushed? Burst? Something happened. Opened. Tento's head turned, droplets of water falling from the dome shaped bamboo hat on his head as he turned to well he felt...odd. A ping of familiarity. But what was it? The day had been beautiful and the sky was like a dome of plasma-blue. The clouds had looked like airy anvils drifting under the gleaming disc of sun. Setting away like a lullabies, the break between day and night was soon upon the lingering faces of the world. His body under the branches of a high tree, shifted and moved were nature's limbs as a temporarily tent before the Reaper’s moon of winter appeared over the trees. The moon seemed to turn the leaves into a flaming patchwork of colors: scorching-yellows, lava-reds, burnished-browns and bundling grass green. It added an alien glamour to a perfect scene of relaxation.
He heard a greedy thrush, a soft tapping against branches that moved at a snail like pace off in the distance. Not extremely far away but not close up either. Not one where he could see what was there. His eyes narrowed slightly in focus as he jumped forward, fluttering further into the owl-light of the forest. Stirring the flaps of nature's shield tent as he moved away. A mournful cry of a lonely fox echoed through the vault-still silence of the trees. A huffing wind rose up then, as a realization dawned on him. There were energies present, about. Still. Hollows?
Wait....an Arrancar!?
A tinkling sound came to his ears as the first pearls of rain dropped onto the leaves. And concern. Oh another one. Such a dangerous and stressful time it seemed to be with his luck. The sound his movement was that like the glassy clinking of a champagne flute, lilting and clear. But uneven. He felt...a human's energy. Well, there goes any logic of running away. He gulped; a sheet of rain passed over and the sound intensified. Pouring down now. The noise on the folds of his black and white garbs was like the phut-phut-phut that ripened nuts make when they hit the ground. It wasn’t the soft, sodden, swollen drops of spring that were being heard; it was like ball-bearers were hitting the canvas roof with force. A dance. Pressing and begging for a release, to fall below to swash the untouched soil.
From his distance he could see it now. A beam of light pulling a, dog? Into it before closing. Wait, that felt, like a Hollow's energy. There was another Hollow? It retreated? Why? Just what was going on here with this Arrancar and Human? What was that smell was that....blood! Death? Arriving though he would only get more confusion and concerned, his hand held on the hilt of his blade as she landed out of the covering joining Aiko's and Kanako's presence. Turning quickly he would-
OH MY LORD THIS WOMAN TALL.
If Tento could have his mouth drop to the floor that was pratically what happened. The curtain of rain hitting again. An explosion of birdsong erupted from the dripping trees and it was if the silence of the scene had never happened. Up and down his eyes went, just...wow. Internally Tento could hear his Zanpatuko's groan with what was going on through their master's head. How could he be...THIS. While fully aware of the energy he was sensing and the heavy stench of a hunter. The storm had begun to lighten is shine, its pressure but there was much in Tento's mind at the...unease about this. Why. Was. She. So. CUTE!?
Ahem.
The flashes of lightening clapping with the conducting sound of thunder slowed, showing the calmness that threatened to come. The energies now clear as ever. The tall, fit, giant before him was most certainty an Arrancar. And the other one, the Gothic looking...wait, was that a halo? Red? Sniff sniff sniff. BLOOD!? Okay, weird very weird. Was a human, a high spec human? At least he thought that was the term he was taught. He blinked, back and forth. A bit, apprehensive about the beauty of both ladies, and the seriousness that threated to make him draw his sword at a moments notice. Only blinking. "Sooooooo....a blood Halo holding human woman, and a...what, 8 foot? Tall Arrancar??", he gave a soft smack of his lips with a sigh. Pretty much hold a 'I AM SO CONFUSED' vibe going on.

Aiko continued observing Kanako as she wasn't sure what to make of her. She seemed pleasant enough, but it could also be a ploy to lower her defenses. You never really knew with not just Arrancar, but humans, shinigami, and just random strangers you meet in general in the middle of a dark, rainy forest. Even if it were just your regular Joe schmoe, the woman would still have her reservations. But at least she wasn't ripping her head off right now.
"That's good. I'm not looking for a fight either. Hueco Mundo does, uh, sound boring as hell though."
After saying those words, Aiko began coughing a bit and trying to speak up more. This whole situation still felt awkward for the woman, but she knew she needed to force her way through these type of things. Soon, however, her bloody eyes drifted to the sight of a shinigami starting to make his presence known. And, as Kanako mentioned something about them not being alone, Aiko shook her head as her eyes slowly became as big as dinner plates.
"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, about that.....we aren't alone."
In a sheepish tone, she pointed at Tento and continued.
"......yeah, you are in for a weird time, stranger...."
Well, that was cringe? Whatever. She coughed and waved meekly at him.
"Hi, my name is Aiko and you are....,?"

Yes, indeed. Hueco Mundo was boring as hell. Aside from some rumors she had heard about some fighting arena somewhere in the desert, she really didn't care for the place. Being there made her capability to breathe underwater completely useless, however it was quite true that her fondness for water made her desire to visit Earth more than anything; and she knew more than well enough that starting shit was indeed a surefire way to stop her visits permanently. Which was why Kanako was more than glad to be amenable to being kind and respectful; and controlling herself as much as possible. However, it was difficult for the Arrancar to not be put on her guard when a Shinigami's energy was felt acutely by her, and Aiko reported on how they were very much not alone. Much like Tento, she had grasped the handle of her Zanpakuto, taking a defensive stance before the Shinigami was literally struck dumb the second he had seen Kanako; something which Kanako was glad for. She breathed a tiny sigh of relief, releasing her hold on her Nodachi of a Zanpakuto; peering at the dumbfounded Shinigami as she heard Aiko speak.
“Speaking of possible trouble…”
Kanako simply shrugged a tiny bit at Aiko when she said that Tento was in for a weird time. What was so weird? Her or the Shinigami in the hat? No matter how weird she might seem, from a human's perspective, Kanako was pretty sure that this situation was far more strange than whatever she might be. After all, it's not very frequent that a Shinigami, a Human, and an Arrancar just kinda meet in a forest while it's raining; especially in such a popular forest to boot. Frankly speaking, it was all quite an interesting situation and Kanako was far more interested in seeing the end of this situation instead of being concerned about what could happen. After all... Tento at least seemed temporarily sedated.
"Yeah... eight feet tall is about right... And the blood Halo seems fine enough to me. I'm Kanako... and, as Aiko said, who might you be, strange Shinigami? Then again... perhaps you aren't that strange for all I know..."

Tentoe eyes shifted, head turning sieways to get a better look at the other woman who was here alongside the. Different, Areancar. The shy sheepish voice tickling his ears as she pointed to him. Black strands flowing down, pressured by the fall of the cold rain. He was in for a weird time huh? Well....that did not sound like she was scared, at least in the way of I'M IN DANGER, HEEEEELP. A cough coming with a wave that was responded with a halfway grin. Light and soft as it was partially hidden under the shadow of his hat. "Tento. Greetings Madam Aiko", he said in a polite usage of words that was contrast to his very friendly voice. He may have been looking to Aiko at first but the response was also aimed at Kanako.
He then turned, keeping that warm smile under the shade of his large bamboo hat. Hand in the his Zanpakutô, loose in all regardless of hostility. There es as really none, just a preparation. A presence. Strangely enough the light grin on his face did not change when he his went back to the Arrancar. "And you are miss?", he asked her after giving both of them his name.
It was a bit strange, what in the world were doing out here? In the rain that was pouring down a bit. He felt no energy of battle, had he come before it could start? Or was there a mystery afoot!!? Well, either way, it was -WHY ARE THEIR CLOTHES SO WET.
Focus lad. Focus. Pretty ladies second. Duties first. Will power. Will power.
"Is all well? It is not often an Arrancar comes out for a stroll. I do thank you for doing it in an uncrowded place though", he said showing a bit of politeness.
