The Great Scouting Plan [Klein, ???]

"Talk? Uh, well, alright, whatcha want me to talk about? I figured I ought to go down and look for you, right?"

Klein wasn't entirely certain he liked the attitude of this spirit ribbon, but he at least kind of understood why it'd probably be a little testy. It wasn't like he'd exactly been thrilled to live here back in those days, so someone who'd been here this long was probably in pretty bad shape.

"I take it you can't show me a way to get down there faster with just the ribbon, but it'd probably help if you could."

There was the growing sound of frustration as a small thump came from below. Something had hit something though to say it was anything with a lot of power behind it would be a stretch. It was only audible by being carried through the pipe. After a brief pause there was the faint sound of someone sniffling.

The sound of a defeated and hopeless soul. It took a moment to realise his words and the ribbon began to stretch and extend to trace a path through the rubble and weak points like a trail. It wasn't what it was for apparently but Klein had made a good suggestion which took a moment to sink into whoever was generating it.

Klein was willing to give whoever was down there a little benefit of the doubt, if only because he'd also probably have gone pretty stir crazy being down there so long. If they'd just been face to face, it might've been a different story, but he had a certain degree of sympathy for someone in this kind of situation. Moving through cracks and rubble was pretty easy, and when there wasn't a way through, he was at least strong enough to handle it.

"How's this looking?"

He knew they probably wouldn't answer, but he kind of just didn't like the silence of this dark grimy place. It was creepy, and it added a lot of unsettling atmosphere to a place he already couldn't say he cared for terribly much. Still, he needed information, and he wasn't going to get it asking other people.

Eventually he got close enough that her glowing gold ribbon gave enough light to shine a faint silhouette in the rubble. It was a perilous position that had her protected by a screen of light. It had looked like some containment cage made out of a hollow, it was the light of a negacion after all.

The small woman looked up at her meekly. It was the first person she'd seen in a hundred years, if she was not so accustomed to despair then she might've not lived as long yet she had made it possible through devouring reishi and even the reishi that comprised her own body to shrink herself down and survive longer in exchange for losing power.

She opted to wave from the barriers between them rather than speak. It hurt to talk when it had been so long.

Oho. Klein had to admit he hadn't quite expected this, but he was a man of opportunity, and he knew exactly how to take advantage of this situation. Not just for his own immediate liking, though he'd be lying if he said that wasn't on his mind too.

"Geez, alright, let's see what we can do here..."

This wasn't the worst situation in the world, at the very least. He'd broken out of something similar way back when, after all. Hm... He couldn't exactly just pull her out or anything, so he'd have to at least get a little bit of the rubble out of the way. Klein moved to test it, not wanting to destabilize anything too badly just yet.

"We'll have you out of here and tasting the fresh air in no time."

So he would commit to be her saviour, it wasn't something that made her smile though. It almost was as melancholic to her that she be saved as it was to remain in this box waiting to die. What was the point after all? No one good would come to this place, if anything they were probabably here to salvage and scavenge like a corvid.

Regardless, she remained in her spot. Curling her legs up to cover her chest more and sink into the corner like she expected for something bad to happen from his efforts. The tiny knife between her legs was the only thing in her possession besides the bandages that did little to provide modesty. All they really did was hide scars nowadays.

The cage itself had a couple of cords around it, disappearing into the rubble while the arrancar weakly pointed at one specifically and a golden ribbon appeared around it like a message for the boy.

She didn't exactly look too grateful for his arrival, and while internally Klein was a little irritated by that, he kept up his facade of cheery naivete as always. Nobody liked a sourpuss, so he'd gotten really good at keeping things like that under wraps.

"Gotcha gotcha. Don't you worry, this'll be done in no time."

Moving to the cord she'd gestured toward, Klein, examined it carefully, as wel as the rubble surrounding it. Much as he'd have liked to, he really didn't get all this. It was way above his mental pay grade, but that made him angry more than any other response. Just one more thing for him to work on, and one more thing to keep as close to his chest as possible. For now, he couldn't exactly do much else but follow the cord and push rubble away when it was possible.

Well. If he really needed to, he could obviously use his resurreccion. That would probably go a long way in a situation like this, but Klein wasn't the type to ever show something unless he had to.

She stared at him through the clear barrier that isolated her from the outside world. Her single eye tracing his position until he arrived at a damaged looking control panel linked up with the container. She shifted in her position to tuck her legs closer to her chest and press her cheeks into her knees.

It wasn't like she even knew how to make this stuff work, she was made and discarded quite quickly. Not that she knew anything of the events that happened to her creator, all she knew was that he operated that terminal to open and reseal her little box which was her home for so long.

Hm, alright. Klein may not have been a genius, but he was smart. Smarter than he tended to let on, in fact. He studied the control panel with an uncharacteristically intense gaze, thinking back to the rubble that had been surrounding her cage. If he just undid this, there wasn't much guarantee that she'd actually get out alive, and that wasn't kosher in Klein's book. A cutie like that, and one he could relate to? He wasn't going to let her die here.

"I've got a plan, but I'll need a second, 'kay? If I get this right, we'll have to get you moved quick, so be ready."

Klein fingered his Hollow Cross as he continued looking over the control panel, making sure he had the best possible understanding of how it worked. He didn't want there to be even a second of downtime here, but after he felt exceptionally confident, he walked back to the cage itself, hand now firmly clasped around his Hollow Cross and ready to plunge it into his chest.

"All good?"

She had no idea what he was doing, perhaps it was a simpleton but she didn't bother saying that. The experiment just sat there while he studied away at Klein, lifting up her ritualistic knife and holding it close to herself like she was also mimicking his actions. It probably wouldn't do her any good to try and use it right now though, she'd been eating away at her own strength for a century and the atrophy was still very present in her soul.

Regardless though she nodded at him and tried to drag herself and creep closer to the pane that separated her from the outside world. What was it like outside of this box? She'd give up hope of ever seeing it and part of her wondered if seeing it would even shake that black feeling that plagued her soul.
