COMBAT THREAD OF THE SEASON

I. What's OTS?

Here, we go back over the last three months and pick out different finalists to discern who was the best of the season in certain categories. These nominations, in particular, are for the months of September, October, and November of 2022.

This particular OTS category is for the Combat Thread of the Season. Nominate the combat thread that got your blood pumping, felt like it had some serious stakes, or just, in general, made you feel like there was a really good fight going down.

II. OTS Rules

1. Each member can only submit one nomination per category, so think hard on it.
2. Make sure you name the actual members relevant to your nomination.

Honestly there were so many picks I had going through my mind or this one. Yumichika versus Reida was initially my first pick but I think that's still ongoing and I can't nominate myself, so you know what? My nomination goes to.....

This. Honestly? What else can you ask for out of a combat thread? There were high stakes. Well-Choreographed moves in each character's respective posts, Erchanhardt poppin' off and fighting two of the stronger arrancars on site through otherworldly martial prowess alone. I found the conclusion enjoyable as well. An extremely enjoyable fight overall, I'll say.

I'll be nominating Inter-Division Mingling starring Mizu and Asami. I've always been a fan of these sort of intense training threads, because it gives a good opportunity for the characters to test things out in a relatively safe environment, take some risks without it being an immediate threat to their life. This thread had some great creative combat, on top of very cute character writing. Highly recommended read.

To Drown a Strawberry. Now hear me out, it was started in May but 2/3 pages were basically written in September so the meat of this combat thread was done in the season. I think this is a great thread of two characters that are presenting their stakes, each one has the potential to be an obstacle to one another even if they're not really wanting to fight here. They clash a bit, they have their talk-no-jutsu as any good shounen fight needs for the two characters to challenge why the other fights and then they do their big dick super moves.

Hence I put it forth as the combat thread for this season.

Even though I really should be asleep already, I would like to nominate Seaside Fight Night: Moe vs Ira! It is a surprising match up, short but sweet, and definitely a down to Earth fight that is exciting from outset to conclusion!
