Whispers of the universe's spirit ran chaotic in the sunlight. The cries and busy sounds of machinery blinding in with the melody of nature's call. The aspects of existing ringing in the ears of the living citizens around them and within. The aura of everyone's spirit, their joy, their hopes, fears, insecurities; all underneath a layer of the essence of humanity.

It was a two sided thing with being alive, a balance. At times holding madness, echoing paths of destruction, and depravity evolving and adapting in the nature of murder, corruption, and dominance. A dark impulse intertwined with the caring gentle of survival, ones own as well as the ones the bearer deemed to hold close. The tremble of delight that flowed into the mind using consciousness and thought.

Tento stood above head, the doors connecting the world of the living and the soul society closing as he arrived to where he believed was the area that he was assigned to do a job at and help. "Hmmmmm, I wonder where my partner is?", Tento said reaching up under his chin to rub the thick but neat beard on his face.

"So you're the member of Fourth Division eh? I hope you brought a Gigai with you." Lerna noted as she approached. Her spiritual pressure having been surpressed, it was entirely possible that he simply hadn't noticed her, or that he was pretending not to have. All the same, a bright smile flashed across the blonde's face as she offered a hand for him to shake. She of course, seemed to be in anything but official shinigami attire. A leather jacket, a tanktop, and a pair of tight-fitting jeans was what Lerna wore as she gave the man a casual once-over.

Uniforms weren't always the deal when it came to Seventh division. Even moreso when it came to operating in the world of the living. And as a substitute Shinigami, that went doubly so for Lerna. A polite nod offered to Tento. The only evidence of her status being the gourd at her hip and lashed to her waist. The handle of a sword sticking from it's opening. The only giveaway that it was a zanpaku'to.

"Name's Lerna. Seventh Division Unseated. Pleasure to meet you .....Tento right?" she ventured, taking the moment to get a sense of what kind of man he was. Maybe one who took himself too seriously by the looks of that beard, but humans were always weird about those kinds of things, so that was no guarantee.

After Tento had thought to himself her heard a voice call out. A bright sunny voice that was pumping with energy reading to burst. Turnjing towards the voice he saw the person that held it. A sunny blonde headed woman, with rich captivating purple eyes with rosy cheeks. With a bright breath taking smile that crossed her face as she extended a hand out to him "Yes, I am from the Fourth Division. I got a Gigai with me here if needed", he said patting one of his sides to symbolize the pocket he had the container of the Gigai in. This woman had a good control of her spiritual pressure. To be honest, Tento had not had not noticed her out of the other human spiritual pressures around them. She had lowered it to such a state that it blended in very well among the scattered and compacted human beings with various ranges of spiritual energy. He was not exactly looking for her, but still, it didn't send off his senses.

But that was then and now greetings were in order, and so after patting the spot that held his Gigai, Tento extended his right hand and took a hold of her hand in a firm grip and gave her a few shakes. A bit relaxed but strong. He then looked at her, she was in human clothes. Perhaps fitting in with the environment or just choosing to be stylish; leather jacket, tanktop, and a pair of tight-fitting jeans. His eyes gazing her over briefly as she did the same to him.

...way too many fine ladies in the Gotei....

"Yep that's me. A pleasure to meet you Lerna, I hope. Tento. Fourth Division 15th seated officer", he said with his own bright smile. His voice coming out in a calm tranquil tone that was welcoming with a strange mixture of a stern yet carefree nature within it. He wondered how this lady was, she was the first person he had ever met from the Seventh Division from his memory. It was a curious thing to see how someone often stationed in the world of the living ones.

Lerna either didn't notice him checking her out, or didn't care to comment. All the same, she gave an appreciative whistle when he made note of his rank. "A seated officer eh? Well ten you're in luck. We're gonna have a pretty nice action packed adventure today." She grinned, before turning and promptly leading the pair of them towards the edge of the city, taking the time to debrief the man on their objective along the way.

"The shinigami stationed in this area was injured fighting some hollows in this region. They managed to take down the stronger hollows in the area, but noted in their report that there were still hollows in the Northern Section that hadn't been taken care of. They're currently being attended by someone from Second Division. Our job in the meantime is just some simple mop-up. None of the hollows remaining in this area are noted to be too strong. There's just a lot of weak ones. So we'll be playing pest control." She noted before smiling and pointing off in the distance.

A large number of barriers were up. Police and local enforcement were keeping people away from the norther part of the city. Which was mostly just a lot of busted and demolished buildings. "The northern section of the city has been in disrepair for a few months now. Forest fire got carried away and swept it by surprise. Hollows started popping up so here we are. Any questions?"

He gave a few blinks at unexpected whistle from Lenra in reaction to him giving her his rank. It felt...odd. But, okay then. "Hmmm? Well okay then, let's rock and roll", he said with a nod before hopping after her and following her lead as they made their way toward the edge of the city. It would be a lie that getting action and doing something was a bad thing fully. It was part of the job and joy of being a Shinigami in his eyes. On the other hand, another more important thing come to mind for him in such a case as this. Safety. They had to protect the living and keep track of the balance after all. Even though he knew this, his face still held a soft pleasant smirk on his face as he followed, listening to Lenra's debriefing.

It was good, their comrades were alive and healing and took care of the worst of it. All they had to do was clean up and make sure things stayed under control or get worst. They needed to be careful; a lack of experience was not the only thing that could cause Tento trouble, enough Hollows swarming at all angles could quickly over run anyone if the conditions were right.

"Are the Hollows still present different that the stronger ones in terms of abilities? Do we have an information of attack patterns or tricks going in in advance?, he asked in a bit of a curious tone. His eyes following her figure off in the distance. They were prepared and not taking chances. A vast number of barriers were up, local enforcement were securing people and steering them away. Heck, they made it seem like just a few collapse buildings caused all of it.

"Oh geez that is a lot. Well, before we do. What are your abilities or your preferred position in a team", he asked his mind already thinking. It was good to get a sense of his allies before fighting with them after all.

Lerna quirked a brow a bit at that and couldn't help but smirk just a little as Tento asked about the intel on the hollows themselves, a little chuckle escaping her. "Heh.Nah, nothing like that. They were just in the area, s'far as we know, they didn't wind up fighting the Stationed Gotei Member here. Not all hollows are just mindless beasts. Some of em are more like scavengers that like to skulk around for the scraps. And the smarter ones that like to wait for an opportunity to pounce. So we'll need to keep out wits about us." She noted, pausing and waving to the police as they approached. She'd already gotten in contact with law enforcement to let them know they'd be coming through. The police would nod to Tento as the pair went through. And promptly, there would be a sudden hush.

The hustle and bustle fell off. There was the echoes behind them, but the sudden silence would be deafening. It wasn't like the wilds where there were animals and plants and all that shit. This was an abandoned city. Without people? It was deafeningly quiet, nothing but the rustle and rumble of shifting structures, and the sound of their footsteps. "IF you focus your reikaku you can sense them easily enough. About eight of them up in vearious levels of the buildings. A couple in pairs. And some solitaries. But that doesn't mean more aren't hiding. Hollows can naturally use Garganta after all. And sometimes they just skulk around between the realms.If we're lucky we won't have to worry about that." She informed him.

The nearest spiritual signatures were pretty scattered. About five of them about the rooftops or the insides of some two to five story buildings. But one was just out wandering the streets. And still one more was at the top of a twenty story building.
"So. How do you wanna go about this? Divide and conquer? Or work as a pair?" She ventured casually.

If Lenra was amused or judging Tentō he really did not notice. He was a little bit of an inquisitive guy, he was always looking for a chance to learn and improve. At times this could make him miss the small details; a shift in a voice or tiny change in facial expression. Especially if it was dealing with a person Tentō never met or talked with before. It was a pleasantry to her this yellow headed warrior chuckle though. "Gotcha", he said a simple straight forward matter at Lenra's clarification. So these Hollows wee just lookin' for scraps. There was no real similarity ability wise; which sadly meant less details to go on. Well, if nothing was worthy to be noted then perhaps? "So moths to a fire pretty much. There are a lot of opportunities for stuff to go down then like you said". Tentō nodded his head and waved, giving a big cheesy smile to the police officers they passed. It was nice to be able to communicate among the different departments. No need for as much care and secrecy like in the past when they had to hide things.

To be expected though, when they passed it all became quiet. Deathly quiet to the point that you could hear a pen drop. The sounds of life cut off as if they entered another world. Hearing her words he did so, focusing his senses to use his spiritual energy as a beacon on those around him; the Hollows, her, the distant living back in the guarded bustling sounded city. He was rusty in this concept in all truth, but he could do it successfully at a decent level from his past learning. At least, he thought so?

Yep, there was eight of them, going up in a spiral like some sort of tower challenge. Their energy calm and reserved; trying to hide or trying to create their chance to attack when they were unprepared. "They are being very sneaky, their intent and energy feel so small it is kinda hard to tell which is the biggest concern to start with", he said while keeping his search going with his reikaku. IF only there was a way to tell if there were more hiding within a separate realm in between, or if more would come once they sense the energies of Hollows and Soul Reapers going at each other. "Regardless if that happens or not, I got your back", Tento said with a sincere devotion; the last thing he wanted was to let an ally get seriously hurt.

Tento then turned towards where he sensed the solo Hollow in the street. "Pair, the solo one if you don't have a problem with that", he said in a casual return, his hand moving to the hilt of his sword as he began to unsheathe it.

Lerna herself was taking a moment to make note of the reiryoku signatures she could feel. A little hum escaping her as she considered the potential outcomes. "Well, there's a few ways to go about it. We could divide and try to wipe them out as efficiently as possible. But we risk if they turn out to be a bit on the strong side. We could go at them as a pair. Safest, but some of them may run off, or try to head back toward the city. The 'safety net; way of doing things is that one of us goes in to start attacking, and the other peels off to cut down any stragglers or runners that start to peel off. But that puts us in a bit more of a vulnerable position than even just trying to both go in and go hard since the hollows might circle in on whomever is going in alone, and the other person will be in a slightly worse position to help out." She noted calmly.

Of course she had already surmised that there was no real proper answer here. Each situation presented barriers and challenges, as well as varying levels of risk. It was all really just a matter of his preference and personality type. Since he was the ranking individual on the operation, she left that decision in his capable hands.

Tentō stood there for a moment, his sword held in his right hand as he gripped the half of his soul and being tilted down towards the ground. Lack of practice and experience in the truth. Tento sensing and location of the reiryoku signatures that he could feel were probably not as sharp as Lenra. But he could still feel them all the same. He heard her give a soft careful little him as she seemed to be in the middle of a thought. Well, no Hollows were in their immediate area, but, it was good to still try and get a decision soon. They couldn't let the Hollows move and flank them after all. Well, if that happened or not, he still needed to talk with his team mate. "Divide and conquer is a realistic strategy. But one that works even more in their hands like you said. If we split up, that may cause us to have to deal with two....three...four Hollows by ourselves. With not knowing their true abilities and power; that is not a chance I wanna take". Tento spoke reaching up his other hand to rest under his chin. His face turning into a serious thought of it all. The odds. The paths. The tools at their disposal.

"In all honesty, I would prefer for us to work as a pair. We can start with the solo one than the ones closest to the barrier and take out the Hollows based on proximity. We have officers waiting outside keeping watch, as well as the barrier. That gives us time as well as communication to get told if something changes. Heck, if we get lucky maybe the stationed fighters getting healed may be able to operate if enough time passes while we are hunting", he spoke a nod, breaking down what he hoped would be a solid idea. "I also have another idea. What if...we used Fushibi and Shakkahō as a fire net to capture and damage any Hollow that comes close? We could also put Fushibi in some spots to see if we can pressure some Hollows into them as well". This was all an idea though, and a real question of how much time and energy that they could use to successfully do this.

He then nodded his head thinking about the other things Lenra had said before he spoke. All good options really, it was all up to what they could do as a team, and what Lenra chose to go with. After all, Tento couldn't do this alone.

Lerna smiled as she watched him size things up, certainly he was putting a lot more thought into this than she woulda. She vaguely wondered if he would eventually wind up in like first division or something. But her brows perked a little as he went with the working as a pair. Admittedly what she figured would be the case. Though as he went on to speak of putting up a snare, she blinked a bit in surprise before she chuckled softly.

"What you mean like layering Kido? I mean, hey, if you know how to do that be my guest. That's some real advanced level stuff, and I'm not that good with Kido. Not to mention I have no idea how to make one that would move with us. If we're picking them off one by one, I dunno how that'd work. If we wanted a net we'd have to either lure all of them to us, or just make one around the whole place. And thats a lot of investment, I don't even know if we'd have the energy to fight them after all that." She pointed out. Giving him a bit of space if he DID have enough high end expertise for that. Certainly if he COULD pull off something like that it'd help them out. All the same, she peeled her zanpaku'to from it's gourd sheath, a slick wet sheen to the blade as she turned her attention to the hollows.

"But that aside, I'm ready to get movin whenever you are." She noted. The nearest hollow was a good ways away, they'd need to use shunpo to close in. It was moving its way up a five story building. A big chunk of the building was missing, but it still was more or less intact enough to stay upright. The hollow was sort of moving through the ruins. Pacing or something like that. They'd have to go into the building and either draw it out or hunt it down. Once again, Lerna was content letting the guy take the lead.
