Ideas and speeches from generations past had long molded the quincy's tongue, now spilling outwards at Helle.

Hypocritically lacking in his own experience for the words, they poured with confidence regardless. "The Gotei are a political force. They won't act without warning. This other crap? That arrancar showed up and vanished in minutes. No warning, no red tape. Are weighing the mass slaughter of our people less of a concern than bothering some paper pushers?"

"And I cannot force my men to partake in such dangerous expenditures just to force development, and that's not including the attention from the Gotei we would receive from the mass of Hollows being killed."

As it stands, their moderate ways of handling the issues on Earth is all that keeps the Shinigami from bothering them. Getting on bad terms with the Shinigami would prove a folly until they've fully recovered. Helle can understand Lukas, but she cannot force his ideals on her subordinates. That would be an abuse of her power.

"If you truly wish for something of the sort, your best course of action should be to ask the opinion of your brothers. Trying to take a roundabout method will only lead to animosity among our ranks."

She stood firm. Training is not bad, but lying about it, letting men get hurt just to force growth? That is despicable to the Director, something only one who has no morals would subject another to. Well, guess she shouldn't be surprised, considering.

Whatever was left of the man's composure slipped, a sneer in its place. Talking in circles was far from his forte, much less in reciting what he knew. Audible rage against the beat of his heart, resonating within his skull. Knuckles tightening by his side, he came to the realization - This is pointless.

"Fine, don't take any measures to change things. Watch them die around you if all you care about is keeping the Gotei happy, and your soldiers penned, do it." Turning away, Lukas began to storm off, shouting as he did. "There blood is on YOUR hands!"
