CRESIMIR | KING OF NIGHTMARES
"Oh~? Is that really the weakness of fear, do you think? My precious little thing, don't you understand? Being smart enough to know fear isn't to simply become immune to it. No, no, no, far from it, in fact!"
While Cresimir avoided most of the damage he ought to have taken, it did come at the cost of doing rather little damage to Ehefra or those golems of hers, either, and he still felt a bit of his blood trickling down onto the ground below. Oho, now that was inconvenient, wasn’t it? But that was simply all the more pleasant in this little fight of theirs, wasn't it? What else could he do in such a situation but relish the joys, bask in the wonder of a struggle for one’s own life? Lowering himself to the ground like a proper beast of prey, Cresimir once more disappeared into the shadows, but now there was a greater intensity to the stare from every illusory face as they all shifted among the shadows.
She’d become a genuine threat now, one that Cresimir wasn’t willing to simply take lightly.
“For you see, there is no truly meaningful fear which is merely picked apart by our thoughts! The unknowable depths of the sea, the loss of those one might hold dear, the sight of our blood spilling out, all of these might be pushed away as simply unreasonable, but that is not intelligence. That is simply blind stupidity, don’t you see, my dear?”
As Cresimir moved behind each tree, he slowly began to leave a trail of blood in the shadows, painting an elaborate picture on the ground below. Of course, he knew that much of it would need to happen within his prey’s sight, but for now he could bide his time, speak and draw the parts of this blood rite that needed not be seen.
“To be afraid of the dark is not to fear the unknown. It is to know that whatever lurks there can come without warning.”
And then out he came once more, this time far more frenzied than before. He was no longer attempting his little gambits, no longer playing with his food. Unlike before, there wasn’t even a sort of playful air to his approach. He was squarely a beast of prey now, fully prepared to avoid any incoming attacks as he clawed downward with both hands. Of course, he had also trailed his blood across the ground, and he had every intention of continuing to do so. Always thinking one, two steps ahead, that was how one stayed on top.

A Score. The sight of him bleeding caused her eyes to narrow with sudden slow, building excitement. So he WASN'T immortal in this little area of his! She grinned from ear to ear as she watched him suddenly beating a hasty retreat, promptly raising her other hand to fire a spray of ring-like arrows after him along with his Golem, both of which peppered the forest he was dashing off into, narrowing her eyes for a moment when she noticed his pathing. Strange, why was he running about instead of melting back into the forest? She began dragging in Reishi around herself. Expecting something. It was the same sort of discipline she had to burn into herself when she'd fought hollows in Malaysia. There was always a damn trick, and her eyes narrowed slightly as she watched him.
He was still fucking talking. How she wished she could dig her claws into his throat and squeeze until that yapping stopped. What was he planning?
Well, she didn't have to wait very long for SOMETHING. The sudden Leaping attack was loud enough to catch her attention, narrowing her eyes up in the direction of the charging man and promptly pumping that collected reishi into the space between them. Another Golem promptly fabricated as her Bow lit up, making it seem as if she had promptly pasted the pre-prepped AI script into them just like the other.. Instantly supplying her with another, functional, ready minion. As Cresimere's attack launched, his claws would sink into the frame of the Golem, but fail to shred like it might have torn into Ehefra. The golems were more than sturdy enough to handle ceros and the like, However, the Golem....simply would not seem to react, simply standing there, STARING up at him, a fully prepared Golem, but without any life to it.
There was then a low, buzzing whirr as Ehefra's body sped past both Golem and, potentially, cresimir himself. The air buzzing with the gleam of her Reishi Katana through the air. She'd formed two hirenkyaku rails. One beneath her feet, to rapidly speed her past the man. And a second one at her wrist, executing a high-speed slash to Zig-zag up the man's back as she passed him. A move that one would normally only see in a Shinigami master of pristine swordplay. Instead?
She had simply copied the AI script into the Hirenkyaku rail at her wrist. She could focus on a full-force Hirenkyaku to zip past the Bloodlord. Meanwhile, the AI guided the path of her blade as she passed, carving a high-speed path along his body. She had no idea why he had decided not to melt back into the forest, but she intended to punish him for it. At least for a moment. Her blut vene was up, but she could STILL feel the strain on her arm from moving it at such speeds independent of her own body, fibers straining not to tear. Without a script she might have shredded the muscles in her arm trying something like that. Who cared, she'd have just used ransotengai on her arm anyway. Hmm, that was a thought, applying a script to Ransotengai threads...she wondered if she could strangle him with them.
Of course, she, at least, had a moment to recover from the strain. Cresimir would get no such blessing, even while this assault was put down on him, the first Golem was already firing arrows at him and the air around him, and there was no telling when the eyes on that Second Golem that had played Meat Shield would light up.
This was how she survived. Even a girl as smart as Ehefra couldn't account for the countless tricks that hollows could think up with their cruel lacking hearts.
Adapt. Prepare. And slowly stack the odds against them. Every single moment, she built herself up. She gave them something new to worry about. She didn't care if she ruined her fucking arm with high speed slashes. She didn't care if she had to cower behind her golems. She didn't care if she had to push herself to the very brink, until the only thing holding together was ransotengai.
It didn't matter.
Pain didn't matter.
BLOOD didn't matter.
Her BONES didn't matter.
Her ARM didn't matter.
So long as SHE lived and he went Crunch beneath her heels.
And every fiber of that sentiment was etched across her grinning features.

CRESIMIR | KING OF NIGHTMARES
Cresimir had expected many things, certainly. What he had not anticipated was the strength of the golem he had struck toward, nor had he anticipated his opponent's maneuverability. Tricky, certainly, but he wasn't through just yet. The blade that had cut through him, the arrows raining down from above, they all simply made him bleed all the more.
He'd not fought like this in a long while now. Centuries, had it been? Ah, how could one even tell time when it seemed to simply bend to the whims of others? But he didn't fret about that, didn't fret about anything. Instead, as he bled all over the ground below, he simply slammed his other hand down onto the ground, completing the sigil he'd drawn in his own blood.
Most of it, in fact.
As he did so, the blood quickly turned to the same inky blackness that filled the whole of the forest, and then began to cover the ground like water. But no light would push such darkness away, and it swallowed up any light it touched like it was simply second nature. He could feel the forest around him fading, quickly. Or was that simply his own being? Ah, who could say? It was hardly relevant now.
His grin simply widened as the shadows all shot upward, filling the whole air with countless blades. It might have killed Cresimir himself, that much was true. But so would this lovely creature before him, and if he were to die, he ought to at least ensure he go out on top, hm?

Alarm.
The sudden sensation of that spiritual energy suddenly bleeding all around her promptly had her tensing up as it were! Her eyes snapping open as suddenly the area was SMOTHERED in shadows blossoming from that splattering of blood. And a jarring grin tore across her face.
Danger.
A threat to her life was suddenly very apparent. She didn't know what was happening, but suddenly she realized that she'd pulled in a lot of Reishi to make her Golems. Her first instinct was to create a spiritual envelope around herself, to block this incoming attack. But there's no way she'd be able to do it in time.
"Execute." She howled out, throwing her head back as the sudden flowing darkness around her exploded with light. Ehefra's spiritual pressure suddenly went from roaring to completely silent, almost vanishing in entirety as she unleashed her true power. Bar codes forming over her irises as reishi was ripped from around her, and formed two bright angelic wings behind her back. Her skin glowing hot as heat rolled off of her body, scorching the surrounding area, such that the ground beneath her was turning red from the heat as well. Were her clothing not made from Reishi she'd constructed herself, it would have doubtlessly burned away as well.
No time for Defense.
She ripped Reishi in, FAR more than she could have ever done in her normal form. She roared out into the open night air as that reishi was dumped into the Katana she'd created before. a sudden shroud of hot burning white, a brilliant Spear of reishi mixed with her own flaring Reiryoku as she pulled in every mote of power she could muster from her Burnout Mode.
She threw her hand downward and fired the Sword-turned-spear into the ground below, meeting that sudden eruption of blades with all of her might. The weapon erupting into a column of burning reishi that clashed against the sudden gulping darkness all around her, seeking to obliterate the earth below her feet, and hopefully that bastard along with it.
After several long moments, the dust would settle, she had no idea if that darkness would give away, but all the same, the burning pile of reishi flame would still ripple beneath her as Ehefra stood up on the air, the sand beneath her obliterated, turned into a glassy pit with the surrounding beach set aflame. Her Golem she'd made not moments before would be fucked, it didn't have an AI to move itself out of harm's way. The other golem would be a ways away, riddled with blades, but still functioning thanks to it's durability. Ehefra herself? Was standing only thanks to Ransotengai. Her legs absolutely shredded.
She hadn't afforded herself Blut vene, but was still in Blut arterie, and those blades had been in the process of carving up her legs mid-eruption when she'd sent down that arrow. But depending on how strong that attack had been, she may very well have bloody cuts riddling her upper body as well. Thin strings of reishi strewn throughout her body just in case.
Keeping her legs moving.
Keeping her blood pumping.
Keeping her grip tight as she glanced around, using her Reikaku to sweep for any traces of the bastard. Or his body.
Her damn scanner hadn't had enough time to actually scan the fucking Forest before she'd used the sword the script was in to nuke the ground. And still steam curled from her body from the power she was outputting. She would NOT get much longer in this form before her vollstandig ended, and then she'd be-
Dead.
And the panic suddenly stabbed her in the chest. Her eyes went wide... her pupils suddenly dilating, as those flames suddenly WRENCHED in toward her body! The flames suddenly surging toward her body in a sudden twister of bright light. And not just the flames.
But even her Golems suddenly where shredded to pieces and sucked into her body as she raised her hand into the air, her eyes suddenly glowing with a pure, manic fear. She'd tried. She'd tried. SHE'D FUCKING TRIED!
No more fear. NO MORE CAUTION! Any Civillians in the area would already be dead from those damn blades, and if she killed a few more? WHO CARED?! SHE WAS GONNA KILL HIM!
"TIME'S UP! EVERYONE DIES!" She screamed into the dark, as not only the reishi all around them, but also her own Reiryoku was sucked out of her body and into the air above. No less than Five massive arrows of twisting hot reishi blotted the skies with their baleful glow. Not just Reishi, but almost ALL of Ehefra's own Reiryoku was pumped out as that sheer desperation struck across her face and she once again dropped that clawed hand, those arrows crashing into the beach and detonating.
She no longer cared if she desecrated the corpses he'd made. Or killed anyone who had been stupid enough to enter the area, or simply hadn't been able to get out in time.
She'd been holding that terror at bay this entire time, and now:
For the first time in years, she felt a sudden burning fear for her life.
Everything needed to Die.
And that meant the beach was getting glassed.
And with that, her skin would no longer he glowing, just steaming as her body still dumped excess heat, her wings crumbling and her frame panting. Most of the outfit she'd generated had also been shredded for reishi, but frankly...all of the blood and cuts were more worrying than anything like Decency. Her wings also stripped down to mere skeletons, as she'd stare around herself, her whole body shaking, eyes wide open. A thin, barebones sliver of reishi grasped in her bloody palm as she scanned the scathed landscape her spellcraft had left behind with palpable paranoia.

CRESIMIR ENGELWEISS XIV | KING OF NIGHTMARES
There was, certainly, no small amount of displeasure in Cresimir's mind as he felt the sheer degree of power being brought to bear. As he realized beyond any shadow of a doubt that his life was being brought to an end. But above all of that, there was something far more powerful, more overwhelming which filled every vein in his body even as the blood had long since left it.
He was intoxicated at just how fearful she was. It was so unfathomably empowering to one such as him that, even on death's door, he could create one final mirage, one parting gift for such a beautiful creature as his life was snuffed out. Cresimir's body was burned away, his forest dissipating into nothingness. But as it all disappeared, his laugh still echoed through air, and his voice spoke one final time even without a source.
"Until next we meet, my beauty."
There would never be a next time, but Cresimir was content in those final moments, knowing just how haunting such words would be.
