Paging Ms.Chaos (Mana/Lethe)

Whispers of the universe's most chaotic aspects of existence always rang in the mind of the Asthavon. The aura of others' madness, the echoes of destruction, and the depraved nature of man's intent to murder; these impulses were delightful little tingles that flowed into the depth of Mana's consciousness. Yet, a particular vibration of influence spoke to her directly. This familiar energy came from her connection to Algos before her demise.
The zap of energy from the living realm pleaded with the demoness to discover her. Not one to tear her curious eye away, the boundaries between the demon world and earth blurred, and she soon found herself standing in a black cloak in the Fire Land National Park.
The park encompasses the southernmost region of Argentina, extending from the border to Chile to the Beagle Channel. The sights ahead of her gem green eyes brought dramatic waterfalls, mountains, forests, and coastlines for as far as one could see. As captivating as this natural scenery was, however, the pale-skinned demon turned her attention to a presence nearby as she started to make her way toward a woman near a river.
With her hood removed and energy shielded to avoid unwanted pests from waging fruitless battles (of which she knew she'd win), the horned Queen of Demons placed her right hand on her shoulder of Lethe as she looked down at the other demon with a raised eyebrow. Then, with her head tilted to her right side, Mana decided to speak with a bit of interest held in her catty voice.
"So, ya' are the scamp doin' all that shoutin' fer attention? Well, I hope you got what you wanted, as your Queen is here."

Walking through the national park, Lethe would admire the people, and the sights, and the general feeling of being alive. Her shoes had gone somewhere, but that was fine because she loved the feel of the ground beneath her feet, and she could finally feel the pain that had hounded her, just outside vision, for so long.
As much as it was painful mentally to be who she was now, it was extremely relaxing to finally let go of all that stress and strain. The agony in her soul and muted nature of her entire body had dispersed after she accepted who she was, and now she could feel. Ostensibly, again but, despite how powerful she was in her brain, Lethe made pains to separate herself from that quagmire. Though there were some advantages to having her.
"The hurt doesn't show, but the pain still grows, It's no stranger to you and me~" Lethe sung, her voice as smooth and beautiful as her flawless steps. And then, to ruin the whole demure demeanour, she would suddenly flail her arms. It was hard to see why, until she went 'Bam bam bam bam!' to mimic the sounds of a drum.
Totally caught up in her own world, and with terrible spiritual sense, she totally missed Mana's approach until she was right there. Letting out a shriek and jumping out of her skin, she looked at Mana for a moment, her Other Brain - as she called what she was built around - sparking memories of delight.
'Wanna make a football team?~'
Gods above, how could that woman be so wild and unabashed? The churning planet that was her emotions would be impossible for Lethe to pick through if she lived to be a thousand, but right now she was mimicking one of the more iconic ones. With a spark of amber across Lethe's eyes, she would move to slap Mana across he face. About as hard as an average, angry human could slap, the woman would probably do worse to herself for kicks, but it was the principle of the matter.
"You left me!" she yelled, her gentle, beautiful voice struggling with the volume and fury behind the voice and coming out quite unbalanced.

Mmmmm, was she slapping a goddess? How utterly -- maddening. There would be an empty grin that washed over the face of the Asthavon as she relished the touch against her ghost skin. Yet, the woman may have felt as if she had just slapped a brick wall, given how her wicked energies protected the Queen's body as if acting on its own. If you were going to be a divine, sometimes you had to react without thinking, so she lowered her guard as she wasn't expecting her to turn hostile.
"Left me? Darlin', I never knew ye."
Mana grabbed the wrist of the hand that slapped her with the utmost tender care. In moments, she gripped it ever so firmly. Not enough to even come close to breaking Lethe's wrist, but to hold the woman in place as her shade-drenched tendrils pat the head of the fellow demon in company.
"I can tell ya are gettin' hasty, but if ya' knew the threat I possessed, you'd relax your love-taps~."
Now letting her go as quickly as she gripped her, The Asthavon continued to peer into the eyes of Lethe before asking a simple question:
"Ya' called me here: now tell me, why is your energy screaming out for my own as if it saw a bloody murder?"

Lethe's hand recoiled from hitting the brick that was Mana. It was quite a show, actually, and could have been funny if it wasn't so tragic. Lethe would feel quite abashed at the whole situation even, and shrink in a bit. Not at all because she had just slapped The Demon Queen or anything, but because of why, precisely.
"...Ok, so it wasn't exactly you who left. And it wasn't exactly me who was left. But the point stands!" Lethe exclaimed, trying to regain some face about the whole situation. The shadow tendrils made her freeze up on instinct - Mirja had some issues with those buggers - but it was just a nice pat on the head, and then she was let go.
Awkwardly standing about, Lethe shuffled, wanting to run but not even able to do anything.
"I can guess the threat you possess. Nidhana built me off another, who had respect for your capabilities. And this is a woman who would see The Moon falling to Earth as an opportunity to flex her Upper Capabilities. I just, got carried away in my temper" Lethe would babble, skittering a little before exhaling and shaking her head.
"I...don't know. I hardly have any energy to begin with, and I didn't know it was screaming. It's just..she promised to be a Knight of your daughter in her next life. And I am technically her next life. Sort of. But she didn't. She didn't turn up. She didn't come, she didn't send anyone to come, we were just...left"
Lethe was a jittering bundle of nerves, pacing back and forth with flowing grace and an emotive, vigorous tone. But the last few words were spoken with such a gut-wrenching despair it was rather fitting for the subject matter.

Impulses to stab, devour and consume Lethe flashed around the aura of The Demon Queen, but that was just her chaotic influence giving her quite the tasty thoughts. Sure, perhaps her old self may have taken that as disrespect, but she would control when and where she'd dispel her lovely chaotic urges that swelled within. It was HER power, not the other way around. In response to all the stimuli going around her, The Asthavon licked her lips at the sight of savoring Lethe's maddening emotions. Sadness, embarrassment, violence; quite the tasty blend of lively mental states made this light-oh-so-delightful to experience. Quite the divine experience in the mortal shell.
Though, upon the mention of Algos, her eyes narrowed to a somewhat more somber tone. That subject never brought up those tingly sensations that made you giggly and happy. Nah, it was the pits and made her stomach grumble with woe. Still, it was something that meant the world to Lethe if she had been a reincarnation of The Princess's partner. And since she was family, Lethe was spared any bloodshed for her earlier transgressions. Isn't that just sweet, eh?
"Ya will have your beloved back, dear. I believe Algos followed ya' to the land of the dead, but her new body should be done by now."
Now moving her tendril away from the demon, Mana continued to look at her sorry state. Heartbreak and woe filled her face; it was awful to see a cute face covered in dismay. So, to quell the maiden, Ol' Mana saw fit to move her tendril away and give the woman a proper hug. As the two's ghostly bodies meshed against one another, the taller of the pair (that's Mana!) moved the other into her bosom, gently stroking her head as if she were a beloved or someone precious to her.
"I'm glad I found ya here, as I can't see her yet. So havin' ya' around might do that girl good in this new life. Algos still knows who she is, but she lost most of the LOVELY demonic mental traits that made her batshit. So perhaps now more than ever, you will need to give her your love as she is in a fragile state."
Sure, The Quee was a mad bitch, but matters of the heart always intrigued and captivated her. Love was one of the most maddening emotions in this realm and spurred others to do the most lunatic of things. So how could she not help the beings she cared for and found delight from? In this way, she gave her comfort and a goal to work toward achieving.
"What will you even do in your current state once you see her, young one?"

Slowly the feelings of Lethe would come into her own brain, and the full extent of what she was remembering hit her. That it was Mana standing in front of her. A woman who's power was almost unrivalled, who attacked the most protected place on the Planet simply because some knob-rot had been a knob-rot and nuked a city. She who fought, beaten, and survived against beings of immense power the likes of which Lethe would never understand. And Lethe had absolutely nothing to back herself up here. Ulv at least had pride and power to go out like history's most glorious firework if it came to throwing down with Mana, but Lethe could be popped if Mana so much as sneezed.
And Lethe had slapped her.
This was terrifying, this was horrifying, this was another thing ending in ying that didn't come to her right now. The colour would have drained from her face if there was any there to begin with.
And then, just to add to the terror, she was hugged. Lethe's frozen body would just be hugged while Mana spoke, and then her brain told her that the only thing worse than saying something that like offend this God-Queen, was not saying anything at all to her questions. So she would try to get her body working again, and tell her the truth.
"I don't know" she squeaked. The flood-gates opened, and she poured out everything, tears spilling out from her eyes as she excised the months of pain, loneliness, and constant abandonment.
"S-s-she...left me. It doesn't matter. Doesn't matter that I am a Danava built by Nidhana out of what it had observed from Ulv. Algos never even came looking for me. Never sent anyone nor set anything up for me. I, Ulv, I....the promise was real. Genuine. From the heart, a heart that would never turn down a person no matter what it cost her. And Algos..just abandoned us without a second thought. I don't know if I can handle meeting her after that"

The fear seen by the ghostly demon was natural once the realization of whom she was speaking to flowed forth into Lethe's being. However, these transgressions made by Lethe had been forgiven by Mana. The demoness was family and a creature that felt lost in the madness of this world. She was attached to the love of a broken girl, still chasing said feeling even during the start of her new life. Quite the tragedy, no? Even this goddess pitied such a sequence of events. So, she only continued to hold and pat the head of Lethe as her tendrils swayed against the breeze as Mana wiped away the younger demon's tears.
"It's impossible for someone in a death coma to seek you out. Resolve yourself. My daughter has been indisposed for the majority of the past half year."
With less of her twang in her voice, the woman's voice seemed to age as she spoke in a hushed, calm manner.
"I know not what will come of you visiting this incarnation of Algos, nor can I advise you if you should just run away from her. However, closure does people a benefit. Perhaps you may still love this new form she has taken, or you may loathe her, but it is best to confront and deal with it regardless of the outcome. Not only for her sake but yours as well. There is no need to rush to seek her out. Instead, take it all in and determine when you can deal with such a thing."
Now cusping the woman's chin so that she looked up to her, the solemn face of the Asthavon continued:
"I can say we Asthavons hurt all those who come close to us, whether by intention or by accident. Despite that, as a goddess and mother of this family, you still have my blessing by loving my daughter. Even if you haven't the courage to face her, you will always have my love as you suffered quite enough for my daughter in your previous life."

"Ulv was definitely an Asthavon then" Lethe commented, a quip more powered by the woman in her brain than anything. Ulv was far too powerful mentally and metaphorically to just lay down and die, and Nidhana made a very exacting replica of her memories. So, Lethe now had the issue of a semi-sentient demi-god in her brain. But, it was nice, after so long, to have someone comfort her. And they were words she absolutely needed, because Lethe would have her eyes alight with passion.
"Y-you are right! Everything screwed up last time but that is no reason to let it effect this time! Judging people for what has happened is not what we do, so long as they are diligent in their desires to be better now!" Lethe exclaimed, feeling her body warm up with a jittering need to do things. Algos might not have done anything to for the inevitable death, but this new woman didn't deserve to be blamed because of that.
'Ohh, the irony of her giving me support. So should have put a bun in her oven. Wanna make that memory for us?' her guest asked, a sultry, teasing tone filling Lethe's body with tingles.
"S-shut up" she whispered to her brain, blushing a soft red.

Mana continued to peer into the eyes of Ulv and chuckled at the notion of Ulv being an Asthavon. But, considering the trouble that followed that woman's action, there may be truth to that, given her chaotic life gave an Asthavon a run for their money. So, The Queen nodded her head in agreement with what was spoken about that long since the deceased force of nature.
"Ulv lived a life worthy of chaos's applause. To speak of her being an Asthavon may be closer to reality than one may think."
A chuckle escaped the lips of the Asthavon as her tendril moved back behind the head of Lethe, giving it a gentle pat before speaking once more.
"Regardless, Algos did love you. She could discard people on a whim, but our flesh is connected. There is a deep fondness for you and my grandchildren that I felt in her heart."
Now ceasing the movement of her tendril, the demoness tapped her chin before realizing something.
"Of which I'll need to catch on my grandchildren while I'm in this realm. I'll take care of that soon enough."
After speaking those words aloud, the lush green eyes of the demoness were lost in thought for a few moments. Then, they flashed back to life as they witnessed the fire coming back to Lethe's gaze. It was great to see the little scamp coming back with a bit of pep in her step after encountering her giddy energies. However, there were still things Mana was curious about hearing from the other demon. So a question was put forth to Lethe as she flicked the nose of the pale-skinned woman:
"Tell me: how are you even surviving in this present life of yours? If worse comes to worst, you still have a home as I'm sure I can wrangle up for ya."

Lethe was quiet, in the embrace of this Goddess. There wasn't much she could say, even with her benevolence shrouding her like a cloak, Lethe still got a feel that she could end up rather nothing if she went too far in the wrong direction. So she just didn't move, physically or metaphorically, just to be sure.
Slowly though, she picked through the memories she had, keeping them at arms reach because Ulv had a tendency to explode like a nuke and burn Lethe's mind when she wasn't careful. Algos was crippled, a thousand layers of despair wrapped on each other in ever-tightening bands to crush her. Though Ulv could see a small grain, trying to get out, that did truly care for Ulv and her family. That, it seemed, was the crux of the entire issue in Minatumi. If nothing else, despite how Lethe felt about Algos, she could give this new Algos, a chance.
The good thing about dealing with empathic beings was you didn't need to say anything to them about your emotional growth, they could feel it personally. So Lethe would just springboard onto the other topic.
"I am a Maid~ I got a cool job serving people with an awesome uniform and sometimes they even let me sing. And I shore up my finances by kicking bad guys in the head and stealing their wallets. I get enough to pay Flashy Flash to run me to other countries for a vacation, so I am doing well!"
