A Tired Night [Vivyan/Natasha]
Sun Feb 20, 2022 7:32 pm
VIVYAN "VEE" FAYE
Late at night, a crowded bar was going, and sitting along the counter was Vivyan, her head on the table and a cup of half drunken alcohol at her side. She was feeling awful today, her thoughts dragged back to the mission… At least, what she could remember of it. She remembered that whirlwind inside of her, of anger, of hate, of sheer desire to survive… It kept coming back to her, be it in night terrors or intrusive thoughts. Even if she tried to keep up a progressive, happy mood… Her thoughts occasionally darkened.
And as Da tended to, she decided to go out, and get as drunk as possible. Alcohol was supposed to help, right? It made those stupider thoughts shut up, at least for a little. That was what she gathered from those times she caught her older, war-scarred sister having stolen from Da’s supply in the middle of the night.
Though, Vivyan didn’t have a group to be with. She was sitting alone and quiet, hardly holding herself up, her thoughts muddled and her stomach empty. Maybe… Maybe she should go home? This wasn’t as fun as she thought it was going to be… The drink didn’t taste too great, she didn’t feel much happier, and the room was spinning.
“..Heeey,” She’d hear a masculine voice speak to her as she got a firm tap on the shoulder, her gaze looking up to a young fellow who seemed a little too interested in her, “Somebody as pretty as you shouldn’t be lookin’ so down. What’s your name?”
“..Uhhm… Vivyan..?” She’d sluggishly reply.
“Vivyaaan.. That’s a pretty name. Hey, how bout you come with me and I can show ya a better time, eh?” His hand got a little too advanced with touching her, spread across her shoulder now.
“..Uh… I dunno… I don’t feel w-well..” She’d utter, visibly hesitant, “I really.. Should go home…”
“Oh cmooon, i’ll bring you to somewhere you can chill. I’m just lookin’ out for ya!”
“I.. Don’t know you..”

NATASHA | HUMANITY'S STRONGEST SOLDIER
Bar visits within the City of Lights had become a common routine for Natasha - to such a degree that she had become quite the popular guest. She never complained about her alcohol, she was humorous enough to drum up a mighty fine conversation, and always maintained a level of humility that the other visitors simply gravitated towards her simply out of how approachable she was as a human being.
She would experience her common set of admirers who wished to take her elsewhere and enjoy her in a more intimate fashion but she would typically decline them out of principle. Age granted a certain level of maturity that Natasha always aimed to uphold and she felt that most of her wild day of drinking and one night stands were behind her.
It was as routine a night as any other night before. She was drinking a fine cup of whiskey, striking up a conversation with the bartender until azure eyes and curious ears caught wind of a voice that seemed relatiely familiar to the sharpshooting quincy.
Turning to take a closer look, Natasha was met with the sight of Vivyan and a male that seemed to be getting a little too frisky' with her fellow peer in the Vandenreich. Natasha would sip the remaining alcohol within her cup as she rose up from the bar stool to make her way towards the two, stepping between the male as she pushed him away from Vivyan.
"Pickin' up drunk young girls just so ya' can get in their pants is a little' lame, don't ya' think, loverboy~? She's spoken for. So, go find' some other poor lass, will ya'?" Natasha was obviously lying but the quickest way to get people like this to go away was to let them know they had someone else or if they persisted, perhaps a measure of violence but, then, she wasn't particularly about being violent. Hopefully, he'd get the message.

VIVYAN "VEE" FAYE
"Cmon, it'll be fun just..." He'd grab her arm, which in response the girl feebly tugged, her gaze dull and expression weary. She kept pulling away, until suddenly his grasp was broken by someone else, the young man seeming visibly hesitant as soon as Natasha interrupted them. He seemed stunned someone slipped in between them, looking between her and Vivyan, before clicking his teeth,
"Kh, whatever. He can keep his ugly skank.." He'd speak with a snarl before walking off, clearly taking in that he had missed his opportunity to do.. Whatever he intended.
Vivyan on the other hand just pressed her face into the table, softly crying into the wood as she could hardly lift her head to acknowledge the woman who saved her. A moment of drunken self-pity, really.

NATASHA | HUMANITY'S STRONGEST SOLDIER
Natasha stifled the urge to go over to and deck the bastard for calling his peer an ugly skank but took a measured breath and realized she was a professional, and a member of the Vandenreich. She recognized it wasn't exactly ideal etiquette to punch the people she was supposed to be protecting in this city but still... the nerve of some men. Turning to Vivyan, Natasha noted that the woman was crying. From the moment she notice Vivyan, she generally seemed to be out of it in general.
Booze usually made Nat's misery go away but that didn't seem to be the case for her friend Vee over here. Sitting down beside her at the table, Natasha softly wrapped an arm around the woman's shoulder and held her close to console her. She seemed to need a shoulder to lean on and Natasha would do her best to help lift this woman's mood.
"There, there, darlin'. I made that ugly' ole' bastard go away'. Mind tellin' me what's on yer mind? The bar isn't a place to cry. It's where ya' can come and drink all yer pain' away... at least until the morning," she'd quip playfully at the end. "Then you have to deal with the shitty ole' hangovers."
