» Upgrading: Shadow Casting: Expanding forever on her kido capabilities, Hannah tested a new form of casting that she dubbed 'Shadow Casting' due to it's nature. Stripping away all but the bare essentials of a Kido, it can be used much more efficiently than otherwise possible, allowing for greater longevity on the field and easier use in the more powerful Kidos. This reduces the overall train of using Kido and allows them to take a lesser hit to their stamina when used.

The drawback is that it requires a great amount of control and capability in Kido to use, and so is limited to people who have a minimum of Elite in Kido, though the full blooded variant is locked off until Master Kido is achieved.

I guess I'm confused when reading this. If I'm reading this correctly, is this some sort of enhancement kido? I want to confirm that as from the writing I'm getting the impression Shadow Casting is empowering already existing kido.

It's not an enhancement Kido, it's an enhancement of Kido. Makes them cost less to use by casting them in the most efficient manner possible, taking it further than most people ever care to.

So if I understand right, this is basically meant to be used as a means to take the strain off of certain types of kido? I.E. when Shadow Casting is used, the character will have less stamina drain on them.

Yea. The Shadow Casting technique represents a person's training and study of the energy used for Kido beyond talent and skill represented by the Kido stat, so they can understand it to the highest degree and put extra mental effort into making it as efficient as it can be. Thus, reducing the stamina drain when using Kido.

That's fine to me then. I would just leave a note that the intended usage of it is to just take the strain off the character if they have an elite skill. Otherwise, I approve of this.
