Re: A Shark out of Water (Tier/Santa)

Tier's words were.....softer than she expected. And almost sounded...protective. No they definitely sounded protective. The woman turned, meeting those soft ocean eyes and giving a sheepish look when that soft murmur escaped. And of all things....she heard the woman promise something she never thought she'd hear from Tier. It wasn't that it was surprising that Tier cared for her, she could have understood that. But even Santa had a grasp, sortof, of Tier's personality. Or at least, how her personality SEEMED. Tier had seemed....downtrodden. The loss of her fraccion. The endless .....dreary existence that was Hueco Mundo. And she remembered what Tier had said to that strainge Arrancar when they had first met.
How she'd stamped out the notion of Arrancar banding together. In that, and in Tier's admonishing of unnecessary things.... she figured the woman for a realist. Or at least, what shed assumed a realist was.
All of this culminated into a pure look of surprise on her face when Tier said something so .....optimistic. And saw that look in her eyes. The peripheral muscles around the eyes flexed. And some small part of her realized what she was looking at. And she couldn't help but smile back. She remained ....silent as both of them looked to the Play as it progressed, but in truth Santa found it hard to pay attention to much of it. She drank in that soft music, and gently shifted in her seat. Scooting just a bit closer to Tier so that their elbows were just lightly touching. The both of them watching the play, until at long last it came to it's end.
The actors took their bows and the story came to it's close. In the distance, the soft pop of fireworks began to start up, as it seemed a more brilliant show was starting to go off in the skies above. Santa found herself streeeeetching, grunting as she shrugged off the settled state her muscles had gotten into, her arms dropping, and for just an instant one of them rested on the other side of Tier before Santa simply stood up! What seemed like a move had simply been Santa forgetting how small and close that Tier had been to her!
All the same, she smiled down at the woman. "Alright, what next?~"
