IOTA ASTHAVON
This merger could not take any longer. As far as things were concerned, normally Iota would be cooped up in a room somewhere with 3 other demons trying to figure out what the hell they were going to do that day about the looming project of disassembling and reassembling their government. Iota had started off this entire endeavor gungho but as the days went by she’s grown to dislike it more and more. At the end of the day, however, it was ultimately necessary for this change to happen for progress to be made. There would be no point in being the ruler of demons if all of them were dumb and incapable.
Well, perhaps not all of them. In fact, a specific one had become a blip on her radar and the sole reason for Iota’s field operation today. In a perfect world, she would have sent someone underneath her so she could focus on other tasks but alas that was not an option. The only other person that could do this job was grossly incapable on a fundamental level, causing the Avant to step up to the plate once again and do the job she signed up for. The person of interest today was Miss Tsubaki Nideki, Knight to a dying group.
Knock. Knock.
Short with a long pause in between, Iota knocked on the door to the woman’s living space. How does she know where this is, you may be asking. Records. There were records of most Shadowfall personnel that had information that was requested, though it was not like the woman was exactly hard to find either nor was she keeping a low profile. Expected due to the profession she was pursuing, Iota imagined. Despite the merger, it seemed like Nideki was committed to work regardless of who was paying her, and Iota liked that. If anything, Nideki was a model soldier and has proved herself to be way more important than a mere pawn, but despite that, her rank was not befitting of her. If Iota could work some magic in the hopefully upcoming conversation, then maybe bringing over an asset like Nideki would put her one step closer to world domination.
That was for later though. For now, she stood and waited.

Slate-Violet Near Red
The apartment complex was rustic, the whole street adorned with brick-built architecture, typical of Shadow Fall aesthetics. The walls of the front building had metal plates screwed and soldered onto it to patch up impacts craters done by the more violent residents. This whole block of Flow City wasn't the most taken care of or financially affluent, though it wasn't the worst. It made housing in this area a spectacular price, though, and it wasn't actually too far off from the centre of the capital, for which Tsubaki's occupation had her attend most frequently.
A minute passed before the door Iota knocked on opened up, the person to greet her being Tsubaki herself. She was still in her work clothes, the fabric peaking out under her apron. She still had her ladle in hand.
"Oh. You should have told me you were coming."
A curt response. It was already past working hours, and as soon as she was off the clock, all thoughts of her job left her mind. That's why Tsubaki preferred to be called if she needed to come in, or if someone was coming by--usually to drop off equipment or hand her physical documents and discreet information. Otherwise, they'd catch her as she is now, in the middle of cooking herself dinner.
"Are you new? Next time call ahead of time."
Tsubaki held out her free hand, ready to accept whatever needed to be dropped off so that this deliverer could be on their way.

IOTA ASTHAVON
Believe it or not, writing her requests down never actually crossed Iota’s mind. Now that it was suggested to her, it made way more sense then just getting up and walking over to where the woman lived, even if it was relatively close to her office. Perhaps Iota just got caught up in the excitement of finally getting to leave her office with a rough semblance of a task rather than mindlessly wandering around the streets. She could say that she wasn’t putting off her tasks but rather just dealing with another one of her many problems.Anyways, Tsubaki seemed busy and Iota didn’t want to take up more of the woman’s time than she had to. To accomplish this, she was going to have to be direct and to the point.
“Apologies, this will only take a moment of your time.
Basically, your past employer is liquidating and being absorbed by a new organization, one that I am spearheading. Because of this, we have acquired a lot of their records and have taken notice that despite the death of them, you’ve continued doing what you have been doing. We have also noticed that you haven’t applied for any positions with us, which I personally find a shame and thus have taken it upon myself to offer you one of two positions. Whichever you take, or don’t take, is up to you.
First, as a Founder. You’d be doing basically exactly the same thing you’re doing now but would be skyrocketed to a leadership position. You’ll lead your own squad, call the shots, and sit on the council when it comes to decisions. Basically, you’ll be independent bar major decisions which the council will come together to figure out. You have a good record, a good head on your shoulders, and certain traits that I look for in leaders. And make no mistake, you and I will be equals here.
Or, alternatively, you could work under me as one of my right hands, as Second Head. You’d be part of a triumvirate underneath me, though what we do is outside of your current field of expertise. If you want a change of pace, this would be the perfect time to make the switch. Or not, it’s up to you.
I just feel like you have a good set of skills that would be going to waste if we didn’t extend an offer.”
