When she felt Hime's finger caress her cheek and saw those eyes stare into hers, she suddenly knew what was going on. And what she, once again, had fallen for. It was a joke, a game. Once again there was someone just toying with her to get a laugh out of it. A laugh at least, maybe a bit more, only to send her home, bitter and unsatisfied, the morning after.

"Are you toying with me?" Hanako asked.

That little chuckle, that gaze…
Hanako not only felt anger rise up in her, but also disappointment. She'd never had thought that Hime might do something like that. Yes, sure, Hana herself had accepted that she liked women and made no secret of it, although she didn't advertise it either. And Hime was definitely attractive. Also, she couldn't help but feel flattered, that Hime found her attractive, especially with this new style of clothing she was still so unsure about. But why did she have to take it a step further. Why couldn't she just stop then and there. Even if...not here, nit now, not like this. Not in such an obvious manner. Even Hanako realised that it was over the top. In any case it was too much like 'her'. She leaned over, closer to Hime.

"I. Am. No. Toy."

She had only whispered, so that no one else could hear, but laid enough emphasis in every single word to show that she meant it. She would never again be used by anyone for their own fun.

She set down her cup of tea and said aloud:
"I'll need to step out. I'll be back in a minute, excuse me."

She walked past Hime towards the door. She didn't know where she had gotten that sentence from, but it was definitely not hers. Didn't matter.

Hanako didn't notice that Elyss wasn't at her seat anymore. She was too caught up in her own thoughts and raging emotions. It took so much effort to keep all those emotions in check and to walk at the same time. When she stepped out on the corridor and closed the door behind her she stared only at the wall directly opposite. She took one more step until she stood directly in front of the wall, her fists clenched and her lips tightly pressed together. It looked as if she wanted to punch a hole through it. But then her hands unclenched and her face took on an expression as if she was in pain, shaking her head and muttering.

"I am not a toy." She whispered to herself.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"Not a toy."

Suddenly she felt terribly alone. Alone and cold and alien. Like no one here had something in common with her. No, not correct. She had something in common with Elyss. She had felt some connection with her, prior. But Elyss was still inside and it seemed like she preferred to be alone. And Hanako was out here, trying to calm herself. What she would have done to feel...safe.

She was still so upset, that she didn't realise that she was indeed not alone on the corridor.
