Helle Armstrong

“Our final destination is the central building of the Vandenreich, a wondrous tower that houses the office of our grand leader and Elder, Cyrus ast-Auramazda, and with that, our tour concludes here.”

Standing before the steps that lead up to the front doors of the building, the tour guide has brought her listeners to the end of their tour. Hours have been spent, and the day is nearing an apex, but finally, the tour has concluded. The woman dressed in formal wear is happy that there were no issues with the tour and is glad that it seemed that everyone had enjoyed their time. But, now, it is time to return them to the main gate, and for those who wish to depart from the group to do so.

“If there are any questions, please ask now for we will be returning to the main gate shortly.”

Though, it is then that the front doors of the building opens as a tall individual, six feet, emerges dressed in full silver armor, a long white cape flowing from their back. This time, however, there is no helmet that adorns their head and golden hair shines brilliantly in the sun’s glow. Emerald eyes gaze down upon the tour group moment before the woman is upon the tour guide. The smile that soon appears on her face is soft and gentle.

“Ah, Veronica. Another tour successfully completed. Bravo. You have quite the large group as well.”

“Ah, Lieutenant Armstrong. It is a pleasure to be graced by your presence. Yes, the tour has reached its conclusion. We’re about to return to the gates after they ask some questions. Mmm… Maybe our guests have something to ask of the Vandenreich’s SubCaptain of the Sternreitter. If you do not mind, of course.”

Helle’s eyes seemed to shine a bit brighter as her attention moved to the crowd. “I do not mind. If they wish to ask something of me, I shall answer. I was about to head off for a short break from my duties anyhow.”

Aries was only attending the tour so that she could learn more about the City of Lights and its various landmarks. It was a surprisingly entertaining tour in how it managed to not bore her to tears the entire time. She couldn't care less about the place itself, but the tour guide's way with words kept Aries at least a little occupied as she committed to memory each twist and turn they took.

Eventually they reached the central building of the Vandenreich, and Aries couldn't help herself from quietly scoffing. She had internalized the organization as the place where a certain god lived, not knowing or particularly caring what else it might have had to offer. Cyrus... That name brought a particularly foul taste to Aries' tongue which she clicked on the roof of her mouth and turned to disperse from the group, having little interest in staying in the city much longer at this point. She had seen enough for now and gotten a map of the rest. What she would do with that knowledge would have to come later. Her stomach was starting to growl at her.

But that thought was cut quickly off as she heard the voice and name of the Sternritter's subcaptain. Helle Armstrong was a name that Aries had heard in passing at least once or twice during the tour. It seemed she was a somewhat popular face, or at least fairly well known by the tour guide who had spoke of a few of the more important figures in the Vandenreich. Just hearing the woman's name... what if...?

"What has the Vandenreich been doing of late, and what does it take to join?" Aries asked, having turned around to look at Helle with an interested, yet somewhat dismissive glance. Almost like Aries was thinking of several other things, like her mind was elsewhere and only somewhat focused on Helle. In truth the bubblegum haired woman was just here for information, but what she had gotten wasn't enough. A temporary gig in the Vandenreich could do her well, maybe. Or at least... no, that would come later. Right now, Aries just wanted to know a lot of things, and a brief chat with the subcaptain of the Sternritter might end up doing her well.

Helle Armstrong

Helle’s sudden appearance did little to stir the crowd that was being guided. She may be renowned among her own organization, but rarely any outside of her immediate surroundings have heard of her minor exploits. She thinks them minor anyhow. So, the somewhat tired expressions as the tour seemed to be extended slightly barely disturbed her. One may have a question, and she will answer. It is that simple. And, if by on cue with her thoughts, someone did ask; a fair woman white pink hair asking about the organization’s current goals and registration. Now, that is something that any of the Reich could answer, but it isn’t something that is generally brought up in a simple tour if not asked for. Allowing her soft expression to harden slightly, she gives eye contact to the dismissive woman and answers.

“Why, the Vandenreich’s goal as of now is the reconstruction of North America’s infrastructure. The demons have done much to plant themselves within the country, but, now with them gone, the once great country requires much work done to it. The Vandenreich shall assist them in their recovery. From there, we will continue to monitor the world as her inhabitants and protect those in need. Signing up is simple. These steps lead into the building where the registration process begins. You speak with one of the secretaries at the desk, and once you have filled out the appropriate papers, you will be put under probation for some time until deemed fit for the Reich. Is there anything else you desire to know, Miss?”

Her emerald eyes twinkle slightly because of her own answer, hoping it enough for the woman. If she wants to know more, she has but to ask another question.

It was clear that Aries was listening to Helle's answer but the woman didn't seem too enthused about it. "Probation?" The bubblegum haired woman repeated. She might have understood why it would take a while and why the paperwork and formal registration might have been necessary, but Aries didn't really have the patience for that. Not in the slightest.

But she didn't have much of a choice in the matter so whether or not she wanted to, she would have to wait. That is, after actually registering. She could do that later today. Joining the Vandenreich had been on her list of things to do in the meantime of her aimless wandering. The information that an organization like this could hold, in addition to getting closer to one of her potential targets... Yes, it definitely was important in the long run.

"And what, pray tell, do you use as a measurement of worth?" Aries wondered, her eyes now suddenly a little more focused on Helle now that she had several of her other thoughts out of the way. There was only one or two questions she had left now, and once those were answered she would be able to raise her chances of getting in significantly. And once that was done... Aries bit her lip to remind herself not to get ahead of herself and instead focused herself again. Her goals were still potentially years away. "Do you have some kind of test of capability, or what?"

“Measurement of worth is nothing that spectacular.”

It seems she has caught the woman’s attention. A potential new member for the Vandenreich? Possibly. Though, many others have already started to file out of the discussion, and few remained; these few probably just as interested in joining the Quincy organization just as much as Aries. That does well for Aries though. It shrouds her deceptive intentions from Helle’s view. Eh, but the blonde wouldn’t have thought much of it anyhow. She believes that much has been done to turn the Vandenreich towards a noble cause with an outstanding member base. And, this does pertain to Aries question.

“We must simply see if you are fit with carrying out the tasks given depending on which division you wish to join. It would be foolish to send one out to hunt Hollows if they show little combat capability. However, do not fret, for the Vandenreich are flexible and willing to help a person grow if they so desire. Think of it as on the job training and to see how quickly you learn the basis of your duties. Any other questions, I may ask?”
