THE DANAVA DEMON TEMPLATE

Danava Demon Profile
中空アーチャー

I. Basic Information

» Name: Zion Azariah
» Past Identities: 'Circe', 'King Solomon', 'Merlin', and many other forgotten names.
» Age: Unknown
» Gender: Unknown
» Affiliation/Rank: N/A

» Shifter Appearance Written: Like a few demons, Zion has more than one shifter appearance. One that takes on the form of a female human, and one that takes on the form of a male human. And while these two things sound incredibly different, there are two notable shared traits between each form: Dark Skin and White Hair. An odd trait combination, to be sure. But to some, it can be considered emblematic of how utterly ancient Zion is as a Danava Demon. True to form, Zion themselves are unsure about which form is more fitting for themselves, seemingly flipping between the two genders as fits for keeping the people that they interact with as relaxed as possible. However, they have also been known to be the form that they take on when leaning more towards one concept than the other. Though this has always been mere habit.

That being said, there are definite differences between each shifted form. We shall start with Zion's female shifter form. Both forms have changed immensely over time, as Zion has wandered the various worlds. Currently, Zion's female form stands at an imposing six feet tall, with surprisingly short hair, always kept swept back to make it look even shorter than it is. In their female form, Zion has amber colored eyes, and is a very slim build, possessing fairly minor curves. However, as Zion is unsure what gender they properly align with, there is no real way to mark what their sense of style is, seemingly leading to the Danava to wear simply whatever catches their fancy at the time. This is shared between both shifter forms. In this form, Zion has been known to lean more towards alchemical skill than magic.

Moving onto Zion's male form. This form is actually the shorter of the two, standing at only five feet and two inches tall. The figure of this shifter form is more along the fit side of things rather than slim. Like Zion's female form, this is the result of changes over time. According to their own account, this form is a modern take of the appearance they took on as the man known as 'King Solomon'. As such, this form is in possession of an almost obscene amount of hair. In their male state, Zion has hair that goes down to nearly his ankles, and is incredibly thick. In this state, Zion's eyes take on a golden color. This form has historically been known more for its magical ability than its alchemical skill.

» True Appearance Written: With such odd Concepts to embody, one would expect the true form of a Danava of Magic and Alchemy to be rather horrific. However, this is not the case with Zion. After all, Magic and Alchemy are both subsets of a much older concept: Knowledge. The true form of Zion reflects this, as their body takes on a surprisingly elegant form. It is a shifting, flickering silhouette of a humanoid figure, seemingly featureless. This silhouette flickers with various different colors. And when in this form, the feeling that Zion gives off is different to every race. For Shinigami, they sense a wellspring of ancient energy not dissimilar to that used for Kido. Demons sense merely an ancient, unknowable feeling. Quincy sense an immense amount of pressure, as do humans. Zion describes their true form as 'magic, given shape'. A shape that is constantly flickering and shifting, giving hints of the nearly boundless knowledge of magic and alchemy that lie within..it might be enough to drive the lesser man mad...

I. Personality

» Personality:

Calm: "Magic is more elegant than any sword or bow. And yet, it is all the more dangerous than either of the former. This must always be remembered, lest woe fall upon all." -Zion Azariah, on the emotional state and its relation to Magic.

Danava stem from very differing concepts. Some are safer than others, and some concepts are immensely dangerous. With Danava of the latter category, it is required for the being in question to have a tempered reaction to things, lest they be dragged back into Nidhana.

Admittedly, Zion has struggled with maintaining their calm in the past. There are few identities that they claim ownership over that have tales regarding their lack of calmness. However, this is typically deflected by the Danava with a claim that it was mere youthful angst. Interacting with the Danava of Magic and Alchemy now can often make it seem completely unbelievable that they were ever anything other than composed. They are often pushed to extreme situations by those they have taken on as students, situations that have had extreme consequences. And yet, they have an almost eerie capability to retain a calm expression and tone. Even in the face of betrayals, Zion has managed to retain at least some level of composure. However, everyone can break. And when Zion breaks, it is like unleashing the deepest, most vile aspects of demon kind upon someone.

Caring: Care. One of the actions and emotions typically associated with everything that is human or holy. Rarely--if ever--is it something to associate with a demon. History only tracks the most notable of beings, after all. And yet, it is one of the defining traits of the Danava known as Zion Azariah. While the Danava always seems incredibly stoic and composed on the surface. But underneath that visage lies a true bleeding heart. With the knowledge that they held, they could easily have been one of the most powerful beings in history.

But Zion knew of all of the problems that the world faced. They couldn't bear to stand and do nothing. With their inherent affinity with Possessive Magic, all it took was a slight amount of tweaking to make it possible for others to form entire types of magic. For some, that would have been enough. But Zion couldn't leave it there. Over the centuries, they continued to spread knowledge. At times, their care was seemingly lost. Most notably when they took on the name Circe. However, Zion has never truly stopped caring. Their wandering of the realms is enough proof of that, along with the lack of picking a side. Doing so makes it harder to show care to those who need it. While some call it weak, there is no such thing as too much care, in the mind of this most ancient of demon.

Scholarly: Possessive Magic has many different methods for improvement. Zion has given many of the paths available for improving her skill at the use of her concept an honest attempt. And yet, none of the most common practices grabbed her attention anywhere near as much as research. It was an odd sort of click. As Zion passed on more and more 'secrets' of magic and its workings, their students took the knowledge given and managed to create entire new systems of magic, independent from their common origin. As they found their own limitations within these systems, Zion found the knowledge that once swirled as complete chaos in their mind was finally written down. An order was made from the chaos, and magic found use in all of it's different facets. Of course, the more people that worked push the limits of magic, the more they began writing down their results. And this meant that there was that much more work Zion could study from. That much more stability in the maelstrom of knowledge. Over time, studying as a whole became a favored activity of the Danava.

While it began as a way of bringing a calm to the storm of knowledge that had been passed down to her after the original shattered into more specific concepts, studying and academia irrevocably buried themselves into Zion. It became the most effective way for them to make sense of the concepts they were born from. Eventually, the study of the very magic they brought into the world branched out into all sorts of study.

Zion was already ancient at this point, of course. But something about studying and other scholarly pursuits resonated within them. It was the beginning of the Danava's streak of taking on a human appearance and role, leveraging their natural affinity at magic to gain access to more and more knowledge, allowing the Danava to broaden their own horizons, expanding their mind. To this day, they continue to study as new concepts catch their attention.

Creative: Magic is only as useful as the imagination of those who wield it. So it would be no surprise that the Danava of Magic would be the creative type. It is perhaps the single most defining trait of the Danava, having followed them from birth. This creative mindset leaves Zion to look at things in wildly different ways depending on what they have in mind. However, their creativity is most on display when it comes to the use of and study of their primary concept: Magic. Zion is constantly creating new spells, be they major or minor.

Many of which are capable of allowing her to seemingly mimic the concepts of other Danava, or even entire other systems of magic, such as Kido. However, it goes so much deeper than that. Over the course of human history, Zion has managed to leverage their creativity to create entire new identities through which they were able to plant enough seeds of the basic use of magic that entire varying systems have come into existence around them. This has resulted in what was once a typhoon of knowledge that could only be grasped in fleeting moments to be calmed by actually writing them down. And with their penchant for study, Zion has learned of many magic systems. And this learning bleeds into their own creations.

Their magic as a result is something that seems wild and undisciplined, taking bits and pieces from all the various systems that have been built. But really, these spells are strung together with quite a bit of care, and a mindset that has allowed the Danava to sidestep many restrictions. And while this is the primary way that Zion exercises their creative spirit, they have shown appreciation for many other facets of creativity, even ones that they are not personally proficient in.

Deceptive: Deception is part and parcel with the demon stereotype. After all, lying to those who don't know any better is an easy way for relatively weak demons to quickly gain a degree of power, simply by abusing the connection between worship and possessive magic. However, this is not the type of deception practiced by Zion. For centuries, the Danava of magic has used their natural abilities to quietly integrate into human society by pretending to be just that: Human. They have taken on pseudonym after pseudonym. Merlin. King Solomon. Circe. Each role different in both prominence and location. And each one wildly different in personality. All of them retained knowledge of magic. But each life was a lie, which were all started by a desire to witness human history. As such, deception comes relatively easy to the Danava of Magic. To them, a lie can build an entire kingdom, or destroy even the most well known. It is merely considered another option with which to approach a situation. No moralizing about right or wrong. Merely using it when the situation is appropriate.

Composed: Magic is a tool. A statement that has become accepted sentiment among most all who practice. However, it is a very dangerous tool. Placing it in the hands of an individual without care can lead to devastation. A story that has played out many times. Having bore witness to many a tragic outcome of the use of magic, Zion has taken this knowledge to heart. Losing to ones emotions is a primary reason for tragedy when magic is involved. And as a demon, Zion obviously feels as strongly as any other.

And yet, one could be forgiven for characterizing the Danava as cold and unfeeling. This characterization is often given by those who have met the Danava, as they rarely open up. Goading them is incredibly unlikely to work. Or at least, that is the general appearance. In truth, Zion is just as much a writhing ball of emotion as any other demon. They are simply better at not allowing the powerful feelings they possess to control them. They were not always this way. Those who have interacted with the younger Zion would be the first to claim as such, pinning the deeds of many incredibly powerful, but incredibly jealous and fickle figures in history to the Danava. Along with this, hindsight is always perfect. They have seen the chaos that can be created when they lose composure. As such, they strive to never lose it. Eventually though, every mask is stripped away. Every facade will crack. And the true nature of the Danava can be seen in these moments.

Cynical: Cynicism is by no means an uncommon view of the world, for any sufficiently old or experienced being. And with a being as ancient as Zion, there is plenty of experience, and plenty of passed years that could be gathered up to slowly but surely erode at the Danava's world view. When they introduced magic to the world, they did so with the idea that it would give the then fledgling human race the ability to better the world they were placed in. At least, that was the explanation that a younger Zion would give. Asking the Danava in the current day, they would give various different excuses. The most common of which is that their mind was constantly swirling with ideas that they couldn't quite catch. But they knew the very basics of magic with a more solid foundation than could ever be asked for. The follow up to that statement is that giving that basic knowledge to humanity would make it possible for them to vicariously sort their mind out by watching the discoveries that they made. Of course, Zion is very critical of most any being nowadays. They have let their optimism get the better of them too many times, and created far too many monsters. And yet..they don't simply end it all. Why? Because deep down, there is still that glimmer of hope that caused the Danava to give the gift of magic to so many in the first place. A glimmer that struggles to be seen, but is there nonetheless.

I. History

» History: (Three paragraph minimum of your characters history; also include how they became a demon via birth or they were changed to one though a deal est.)

I. Natural Abilities

» Natural Abilities: (This section is basically asking you if they possess any traditional demon traits. As this is a sub-race, they can also use powers listed here: https://www.platinumhearts.net/t19475-the-traditional-demon-race-3-0-2018-update)

I. Origin Powers

» Origin Name: (What is the name of your Origin Based Power? It is optional to have no name.)

» Origin Power: (To really understand this, PLEASE read the Danava Sub-Race thread. Essentially, your Danava will have a power that is based around a circumstance that has occurred in their life, inherited from a parent if applicable or one they were simply born with or brought into existence with. An example of a Origin Power would be having a Danava based around the concept of the "Sun". You would describe this stellar power and how it can be applied. They would most likely have Solar based powers and form Solar based techniques. Another instance, of a hereditary Danava, would be inheriting a "Blood" based Concept from your parent Danava, if they were born from a parental unit who was Danava. You are allowed up to four to six origin powers. And again, READ THE DANAVA SUB RACE THREAD TO GRASP THIS!)

» Origin Abilities: (These are related to your Danava's Origin or Origin's. If you had happened to have a concept that was related to fire? Then your Danava would most likely have fire-proof skin + thermal resistance, fire generation, spiritual based fire and so on. Just make sure that whatever ability you make can be associated or related to your Danava's Origin Power)

I. Eternal Partner/Conceptual World

» Conceptual World: (Describe what your Danava Demon's Conceptual World looks like. Usually, it's influenced by whatever Origin Power they have. So if you have a water based Danava? Then they'll typically have something like an ocean in it. If you add in ground? Then you can get islands and what not into the mixture. Just use some imagination.)

» Rilīja Attributes: (What is Rilija? Rilīja takes assocations that your character's Conceptual World has, and releases them to the outside world. An example of this would be if someone who had the concept of "Water" as their Origin Power and summoned immense tidal waves onto the the field with. Another would be if someone had a "Rock" based origin could summon things like massive boulders or massive pieces of Earth at their opponent. These are optional and you can remove them if you cannot think of anything.)

» Eternal Partner Name: (Please put your eternal Partners name here. Usually, it'll most likely be related to their origin based power. So if one had a fire based Danava? Then it could be something like this: "Kasai Seishin", which means Fire Spirit in Japanese.)

» Eternal Partner Appearance: (What does your Eternal Partner look like? You may use a picture or write it out. It can be related to their Origin Power, but sometimes it may not.)

» Eternal Partner Personality: (How does your Eternal Partner act? This can sometimes be heavily related to their origin based powers. So if there were to be a fire based Danava? Chances are that their Eternal Partner would most likely be some sort of fiery persona; being hot-headed, irritable and a quick thinker.)

» Eternal Partner Powers: (Does your Eternal Partner have their own set of powers, any unqiue powers or do they simply share the same powers as their Danava Master? Please state so here. If they share the same? You can simply leave a note or remove this section altogether.)

I. Atma Vatou

» Atma Vatou Name: (What is the name of your Atma Vatou?)

» Atma Vatou Appearance: (What does your Atma Vatou look like?)

» Atma Vatou Abilities: (What does your Atma Vatou do? For instance, if one had a Origin Power that was associated with war? Then they would have a series of Atma Vatou that could generate things such as grenades, tanks, missiles and weapons related to war.)

Note: To prevent people from being overloaded who make Multi-Origin Danava, we allow them to qualify for certain forms if they a Atma Vatou for each Origin Power.

I. Diverse Paths

» Note: THIS PART OF THE DANAVA REQUIRES YOU LOOK AT THEIR RELEASE FORMS IN THEIR RACIAL THREAD! Therefore, if you have a Danava that has a Saca Atmā (Constant Release)? Then simply remove all of the below and state their Saca Atma or leave a note. Also, remove this note upon completion of the app.

» Aliṅgana State Appearance: (What does your character look like when in their Alingana State? To help, they take on characteristics of whatever background their release form is based on. Thus, if you were of a Rock Origin? Then you'd probably have some sort of appearance that has your character covered in some sort of armor comprised of Earth/Rock. Ice user? Then you could probably be covered in a cold aura and have ice covering your body. You should get the picture. You may also use images.)

» Aliṅgana State Powers: (What sort of powers does your Danava Demon possess while in this form? The primary objective of this release form is to ultimately come to terms with whatever your origin, past, concept or being is. When this transpires, all of the users powers will become easier to use and then become enhanced further beyond that. Thus, if you were a fire user? You could then begin to take your fire usage to the next level by having more fire related abilities, enhancing your current techniques and even having new power altogether; but on the condition that they are related to your base. So, for the fire user, it might be possible for him to control Lava or Solar Energy while in an Alingana State; but it wouldn't be possible for him to control all the elements or something like that. )

» Aliṅgana State Abilities: (What sort of abilities or techniques does your Danava Demon have while in Alingana State? This is the same as Origin State Abilities. Meaning, that these will be related to whatever powers you advance or gain in Alingana. So, if you were a fire demon, you could probably apply that fire-skin of yours to increase your defense/endurance. Something along those lines)

» Unnata Release Appearance: (What does your Danava Demon look like when in Unnata Release? If one were the origin of fire? They'd most likely have their entire body engulfed in flames in order to become the embodiment of this element; perfecting this origin further then in it's previous state while in their former release state. Another example: If one represented a past filled with pain? Then in this transformation, they'd most likely be covered in head to toe in blood, eyes turned red with agony and body covered in physical scars from all the mental pain racing to the surface in order to display just the type of horror they've had to endure in their life. Pictures are also accepted.)

» Unnata Release Powers: (What sort of powers does your Danava Demon advance in while in Unnata? The primary focus in this transformed state is to ultimately, as the title says, advance. This means that most Danava can further develop, strengthen or otherwise evolve their powers. However, it is possible to gain new powers that are related to your origin while in this form. It's just very dependent on it being associated in someway with your Danava's Origin. )

» Unnata Release Abilities: (What sort of abilities or techniques does your Danava Demon have while in Unnata Release? This is the same as Origin State Abilities and Aliṅgana State Abilities. Meaning, that these will be related to whatever powers you advance or gain in Alingana.)

I. Merged Paths

Note: THIS IS ONLY FOR DANAVA WHO HAVE MORE THEN ONE ORIGIN! IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE? THEN JUST REMOVE THIS ENTIRE SECTION!

» Phyuja Rājya Appearance: (What does your Danava Demon look like in their fused state? Typically, they'll more often then not look like a fusion between their elements. So, if one were a Fire and Water Danava? Their appearance could take the shape of fire that appears to be liquid, as a half-baked example. Pictures are accepted as well.)

» Phyuja Rājya Powers: (What sort of powers does your Danava Gain while in Phyuja Rājya? Please note that their typically related to their secondary and tertiary Origins. So this is where you are able to use more of your Multi-Origins with ease. It's also possible to take concepts, origins and elements to fuse them into a new power. Such as taking a Solar Origin and a Lunar Origin to gain some sort of Twilight Power.)

» Phyuja Rājya Abilities: (What Abilities does your character have in Phyuja Rājya? These are very related to whatever powers you got from your fused state.)

» Caṛhā Saṅgalita Appearance: (What does your character look like in their Caṛhā Saṅgalita Release? In some cases, you may not even need a change in appearance.)

» Caṛhā Saṅgalita Powers: (What Sort of powers does your Danava have while in this release? Feel free to go all out here, as this is their peak pinnacle of power.)

» Caṛhā Saṅgalita Abilities: (What Sort of abilities does your Danava have while in this release? Feel free to go all out here, as this is their peak pinnacle of power.)

I. Equipment/Other Resources

» Equipment: (If your character has any equipment, then you should put it in this section. Otherwise, if they don't, do not fill in this section and you can leave it blank.)
