Learning to Fly RzY3gn3

Another day in the island city called Minatumi Harbour. Another music session on the first corner that had caught her eye. The week since she had arrived on the island had been filled with music, and she hadn't paid for her own food, beer, or hotel for nearly all of it. Finding Monster Mash in the pawn shop, as it turned out, had been the happiest little accident that it could've been.

So, she had set herself up again, this time in front of a large mansion nearer to the sea. Dressed in a yellow halter top and blue denims with her hair left down; she had purchased a strap for her instrument so that she could play without sitting in the street. Her fingers slowly picked and strummed the electric-acoustic guitar while she tuned it.

Olivia smiled at the passersby, few of which might have recognized her from the last couple of days. Unseen by mortal and immortal eyes alike, her very soul reached into the instrument and tugged on its memories of the past. The strings each began to shimmer with a faint green light, as she was filled by the guitar's memories of its previous owner and his music.

However, such feelings were only used for inspiration today. With a soft smile as she felt herself filled with many pleasant memories, she began to play a simplistic chord structure, but one with an upbeat and optimistic tone.

"Run and tell all of the angels~ This could take all ni~ight~"

Arianda Sakura Kaiosei

Learning to Fly 6EdIfMt

Artist: Teminite - Song: Ascent - Word Count: NA

Arianda Sakura Kaiosei; a demon who is basically the definition of a complete and total, utter, shut-in. Indeed, all that demon wished to do is play games, mess with her computer, and possibly even learn a thing or two that she doesn't yet know. After all, she could always use more knowledge by the end of the day. However, today seemed like an odd day. She was not shut in her room, Arianda was... somewhere. She didn't know where, and the demon was just wandering the mansion; not really finding herself in the mood to play any games. Soon, she eventually found herself near a front facing window in the mansion; one which she saw something interesting.

A woman was standing in a top that had already caused Sakura to blush as she gazed upon the woman she saw on the street. It was easy to see she had muscles, easy to see that she was tall, and it was very easy to see that Sakura could *not* take her eyes off the woman. So much so that she looked towards the door and decided that... today was a good day to go outside. If anything was true between Ari's, they were gay as fuck.

A quick runaround to get her coat, and her boots, Sakura soon opened the door and closed it behind her, walking across the street to where Olivia was. And up close, Sakura realized quickly that she was a tall woman; she must have been on the cusp of six feet tall. Being 5'3" as Sakura was, she had to look up at the woman some. It wasn't so bad, really, because where her sight would normally rest would be on her torso. Regardless, Olivia's voice and body were both so nice. Nice enough that Sakura ended up at the front of the crowd, if there was one, humming and swaying gently to the music; not taking her eyes off Olivia as she listened to her play. Eventually, when Olivia had stopped playing, the demon finally spoke.

"You're really good with that guitar... That song was amazing. I-I'm Sakura. May I ask who the one strumming the guitar is~?"

She smiled warmly, her cheeks glowing a bashful red; she hadn't exactly just gone out and done something like this just about ever. Maybe it was some of Ari's influence on her, maybe it was her own demonic nature; whatever the case, she seemed to like Olivia enough just from a look to leave the house and talk to her. If that wasn't a sign that she liked the woman a little bit, who knows what would be.

The crowd had gathered more quickly today. It was getting so large, in fact, that people were having to step out into the street in order to get around the girl and her playing. As she played,a few coins and bills were tossed into the open case at her feet, but aside from beer money, that was hardly why she was here.

It was shortly into the first chorus that she noticed a young woman, maybe about her age, if she had to take a guess, fight her way to the front of the crowd. Olivia, being the prideful reader of body language as she was, smirked between her lyrics at the woman's fidgeting. At her gaze. At those gorgeous purple eyes, and her orange hair.

The amateur musician's gaze latched on to the stranger's and refused to let go, as she continued, "I'm lookin' for a complication~ Lookin' 'cause I'm tired of tryin'~ Lookin' for the somethin' to help me learn to~ Fly on with me~ I can't quite make it alone~"

As she sang the final verse of the piece, she made sure there was no question where her attention was. The woman was absolutely beautiful, and caught in such a maelstrom of emotion as she was, Olivia had found a new muse.

"I'm lookin' for the somethin' to help me learn to~" Closing her eyes, she ended the song with a brief flourish. A faint green ring struck the air from the strings of her instrument, causing the final chords of the song to echo just slightly. "Fly~"

The crowd seemed to have loved her song, though maybe that was because her skills had been improving with so much practice, but it was the almost timid woman in the front who still commanded her attention. Olivia continued to smile at her, even as she rested on the body of her instrument.

"Ah~ The one so graciously gifted the presence of such a beautiful muse is one Olivia Flynn." She was intentionally teasing the woman named Sakura, yes, and the bizarre way she had framed her question. Her smile and relaxed posture, however, conveyed nothing but openness and interest in the woman fidgeting and staring at her for the entire performance. However, it didn't take her long to break character, and laugh at her own goofy voice.

"Glad you're liking the show." She spoke now in her usual manner, with the soft hint of her South African accent coming through. "Do you have a request, or somethin'?"

B-B-Beautiful? Surely not, Sakura believed herself to be nothing more than average; a simple gamer that went about her life with little more than an issue of her appearance. But to be told by this woman, by Olivia, that she, Sakura, was beautiful was almost more than she could bear! Her cheeks slowly became lit with red, a shade that seemed to compliment her orange hair quite well. She buried her hands in her pockets, blushing still as she did her best to keep eye contact with Olivia even if every bone in her body was begging her to retreat into the safety of the hood of her cloak. After all, the woman in front of her was beautiful; she couldn't retreat now.

"O-Oh come on, I'm not b-beautiful; y-you're the beautiful one here, Olivia... I'm just a shut-in gamer... I couldn't be beautiful..."

She twiddled her thumbs, toyed with the hem of her coat sleeve, and she even adjusted her shirt about five times over. However, she never turned away from Olivia. She really did just feel like something just clicked when she saw the woman just playing on the street; just buskin' it as she pleased. It was quite amazing, really, and Sakura was captured by Olivia's beauty; but she also wanted to get to know her more. She too showed just a bit of openness and interest thanks to how her she did not try to hide from Olivia's gaze; she let her see just about all of her while looking at Olivia. She wanted her to be looked at by Olivia; much like Sakura wanted to look at Olivia.

However, the woman seemed to relax, a tiny bit of an accent punctuated her speech as she spoke to Sakura again; Olivia was glad she liked the show. And she did! Guitar playing was no easy feat, and Olivia's playing, and singing, was quite beautiful. However, Sakura didn't know what to ask her to play. She didn't know music very well, or at least music that could be played on the guitar. Sure, she had heard a good chunk of music, listened to it whenever she played her games; but she still was not sure of which ones were meant for guitar or not. Well, some of them. Either way, the woman shook her head solemnly; she really didn't know or even have a request. She came out here because Olivia allured her. However, the woman blinked before thinking for a few moments and walked a bit closer to Olivia.

"S-Say... If I'm such a beautiful muse, maybe you could play something just for me...? I-I-If that's okay!"

Sure, that blush still colored her face, but those purple eyes of hers, that could very well be part of the reason for her name, were shining brightly as she thought of Olivia playing a song just for her. Who knows, maybe it would be more than enough for Olivia to get a gamer girlfriend. Then again, Sakura at least knew that when it came to dating, sometimes things are taken slow, sometimes ya hook up and just start dating from there. However, to her, it seemed more like sometimes a hot woman woos you with her guitar playing skills and her lovely personality. But, definitely, the fact that Olivia had some muscle was a bonus. After all, Sakura is a gamer who enjoys what she enjoys; which just happens to be women who have abs. Regardless of that, she was happy to see what Olivia would play just for her.

Despite the woman's insistence to the contrary, she was, indeed, beautiful, and the way she fidgeted and fought with herself to stay was absolutely adorable. The musician, herself, was as calm as could be. She made no attempt to undress the woman with her eyes, or to stare anywhere untoward. No, not when those gorgeous orbs still commanded such attention.

In the few seconds they spoke, members of the crowd began to disperse. She didn't blame them, for the show had reached an accidental intermission, even if she could tear herself away from the muse standing in front of her. Before too many could depart, however, her muse did make a request.

Olivia smiled back.

"Then, an improvised piece to match such a lovely face." Her fingers began to pick and strum at the instrument without reason, as she slowly found a tempo and tune that felt right. "This part of the show will be a little different from the usual, everyone. If you feel you must leave, then I wish to thank you for humoring me up until this point."

The emerald green glow around her strings grew a little more intense, yet Olivia never began to sing. This would be an entirely instrumental piece, complete with the errant clicking of her knuckles against the body of the guitar in between pickings. The music she played for Sakura was a little quieter, but her shift in focus made the more intricate song possible.

Her brown eyes came back to the other woman's purple lenses, and she found her rhythm. Her tempo quickened, and as the song came and took her away, her fingers moved just a little bit faster to play something worthy of such an audience.

Strangely, even though Sakura had accidentally looked at Olivia's abs more than once; she still focused mostly on the woman's eyes. They were quite pretty, and it seemed like, no matter all the beings that were around them for Olivia's show; those eyes were focused just on Sakura. So much so that gaze caused her already slightly pink face to deepen in it's shade of blush to more of a red; and soon the woman started to play just for her, and sing just for her.

It was quite embarrassing really; having someone play just for you in a crowd of people. However, no matter how much Sakura blushed, how embarrassed she felt; she never left. She simply was caught in rapture with what Olivia was playing for her. However, she never sang, she remained quiet as the song played on and on; and Sakura gently swayed with the music. It was so pretty, so much so Sakura found herself drawing closer to Olivia until she was in front of the woman. Not directly in front, but she was easily within arm's reach. She wasn't afraid, not at all; but she was charmed by the pretty woman playing music just for her.

Eventually, when the song ended, and Sakura came out of her partial trance, she blushed a deep scarlet red with all of her face when she realized how close she was to Olivia; and just how she felt deep down. She gently, and hopefully without notice, squeezed her legs together as her brain raced between many things as she looked into those brown eyes. Soon, she smiled warmly for Olivia; not moving from her spot and not trying to hide from that gorgeous gaze.

"Th-That was amazing, Olivia... You're really good with that guitar..."

Soon, the demon felt a burning within her chest; and a bit of bravery spiked inside of her heart. She stepped forward a bit closer to Olivia and smiled at her still; extending a hand palm up for the woman to take if she wished.

"H-Hey, Let's go out to dinner or something tonight... M-My place is nearby too if you want to get to know each other before then."

Sakura smiled at Olivia warmly despite her red face and her timid mannerisms of playing with her shirt and jacket; but the woman still stoked the fires of bravery and courage to ask out Olivia. She had to. She had to know if the feelings she felt burning within her breast weren't fake. So, she was going to date this woman if she could help it. Indeed, maybe asking out someone she barely knew was not the best idea. However, Sakura was a demon; she could fend for herself if she truly needed to. Regardless, this nerd had found a woman to finally garner her interest. Besides, it seemed like the interest was more than mutual. Sakura just hoped Olivia wanted it to last like she wished for it to last.
