“That’s what you get you little shit.”

Sitting in an alley, blood slowly leaking from a large stab womb in her side, Elyss watches as a shadowy man looks down at her as her vision blurred and darkened slowly before fading out. It hurts, but at the same time, it’s somehow euphoric, maybe poetic? Though, all the young redhead could think about was an image of an older looking version of herself and a man wearing glasses with short black hair: mom and dad. That image, however, slowly dims as nothing but regret and anger fills her visage blotting the world red before nothing. Yet, during those last moments, she could feel her voice rip out from her throat in one final scream.

“Ah!”

Sitting up quickly before wincing hard and wrapping herself in the covers and blankets around her person, Elyss awoke with a loud shriek frightened by something none other knows. Instantly, she can feel her body give out on her as she falls back onto the mattress feeling immense numbness and weakness through her whole body. It feels as if someone dragged her through broken glass and decided to numb her with medicine until her bones felt like they were being dragged through extremely cold mud with every little movement. What happened?

Slowly, she came to the realization of where she was and of how she got here. This is the mansion on Minatumi, Ulv’s place. She remembers now. She remembers losing her mind and even challenging her Captain. She remembers losing Tenmarin and sitting on that hospital bed hating life. She remembers leaving and walking through the cold city before running into Iori and passing out. Guess that explains everything right now, but as she sat there feeling nothing but her thoughts, she couldn’t help but let that nightmare run through her mind over and over. The more she thought about it, the more real it felt until she’s certain that that particular scene is what started it all, or well, ended one story and started another. She dreamt about her death. Maybe it was brought about by the many near death experiences she’s been experiencing lately. Mentally breaking down and physical wear and tear would probably drag out something by accident. That’s the least of her problems however.

Her onyx eyes begin to move about the room wondering if anyone is within it and witnessed her sudden awakening. No doubt, if Ulv is around, she’d come by to check on her at least noting she has awakened. There’s doubt however. The woman didn’t come when Elyss was dying near naked in the snow. That… scares Elyss. The idea that Ulv wouldn’t come to save her scares her. There’s a lot that needs to be said, talked about, and expressed.
