As the two women sat down, Iori could not help but think had they been in a setting on earth, how odd this sight would have been. Two women of such a tall height, dressed in such graceful clothes, would've likely drawn a lot of attention. In a setting like this, however, in a realm away from earth, they could relax and enjoy themselves without the eyes of others bearing down on them.
Iori continued to observe the setting, listening to Ulv explain who she had truly intended on bringing here, even though she didn't mention a name in the explanation she provided. As she said, the person was no longer relevant. Still, she could not help but get curious as to what led to the relationship falling apart.
"Even though I've had my apprehensions about this holiday... I must say I am thankful you went to such lengths, even if we are not a couple. " Iori would gaze at the demon as he came over and provided them with soup and wine.
She didn't pay much attention to his appearance but sensed that he was definitely no human.
The soup, though, captured much of her attention as it looked quite delicious. She would not indulge in wine just yet but instead pulled two bowls of soup onto the table and began eating from one of them. She'd take as much as Ulv said she could. Who would turn down free food? Certainly not Tokugawa Iori.
"So, how has life treated you so far, Ulv? It's been some time since we've seen one another, even though I visit this place frequently."

Ulv's first bowl of soup deeply pretty rapidly. Not through any barbaric demolishing of the bowl or anything, but through a demure and gentle drinking of it from the spoon. The speed came from the fact that her movements flowed with absolute grace and there was never a point where she slowed or stopped. Everything was in perfect array, and that led to unparalleled efficiency.
"Live is treating me grandly. After all, how else would I get to go out on a valentine's date with someone like you, Iori?" Ulv gave a smile and polished off the last of the bowl of soup.

"Good point. I just thought it was a question worth asking, you know? I'm glad to hear you're doing well and Minatumi has been maintained well. Life has been good for me as well. It's been fun to bond with Midori and see her children again. I'm still struggling to get my abilities up to par, but I've enjoyed life for what it is so far."
Iori indulged in her own soup, as she finished the first bowl and moved onto the second. The soup was delicious. If it weren't for the fact her curiosity about what dinner would be, she'd indulge in much more of this soup. She couldn't help but wonder if she could bring some of this back to earth...

"Light conversation is a staple point of a date, you are right. It is good that you are getting along with Midori. She really needs someone to keep her grounded and dealing with her darker thoughts and the self-doubt. Being there for her without judging is the best thing you can do" Ulv replied, finish a second bowl of soup and putting the bowls next to her.
"Though it does lead to the question of you. Do you have any plans for children? Or indeed, plans for any partners in general? You have just woken up, so having no true plans is understandable, but I can help you if there is anyone who has caught your eye"

"Absolutely. Words will never express the gratitude I have for you, and how you chose to show Midori mercy. I believe that as humans or any race for that matter, we can lose our paths in life and become unrecognizable even to ourselves. Her recovery has gone well, though she has been under the radar for some time, training and becoming more attuned with her spirit - I think it's for the best and she has my full support."
Iori went on to consume the next bowl of soup as she listened to Ulv's question - one that gave her pause as she remained silent for a few moments. To be fairly honest, Iori had no aspirations to bear children any time soon. She was just recovering from a coma many months ago, children were not an option at all right now.
The love interest part is what made her think somewhat deeply. There were so many people she had met in her life, both past and present. A partner? She tilted her head as she lost herself in thought before she cleared her throat and admitted who had caught her eye, even if it was attraction and the affinity for her fiery spirit.
"If I had to say someone has caught my eye, I suppose it would be Elyss. It's only an attraction so far and I'm not even sure it is one she reciprocates or even knows about. I mean, there are quite a few women who I find attractive but she's the only one that remains in the memory so far."

The main course came, and it was as lavish and sizeable as one would ever think from something Ulv had ordered. Though, Iori coming out with desires towards Elyss was certainly interesting. Though early days, it was still nice to see that Elyss had inspired someone like that.
"Ahh, you are fond of my daughter, I see. There is another one that needs a lot of support. And not from me, she has pathological desire to ignore all the advice I give"

Daughter, eh? Iori had known that Elyss was very familiar with Ulv, but she never knew the nature of their relationship, only that they had some form of one. Iori could not help but snicker at the thought of Ulv as a mother. Her passionate nature combined with her bold way of approaching things would probably make any child born from her very embarrassed but, at the same time, Iori could actually envision Ulv as a mother. Finishing her soup, her eyes lit up as she saw the main course arrive and the food was set on their table. Before she decided to dig in, however, she looked up at Ulv and spoke once again.
"Why does she act that way with you? I must admit that when I first met her, she hilariously thought I was one of your nightly conquests."

"Why? Hmm, it's a complex reason. Partially because of Teenager Syndrome making it very difficult for her to treat me as anything other than the evil oppressor creature of the night. Partially because my methods when we first met were pretty heavy handed and ultimately useless when she ignored my advice. And partially because her Zanpaktou drives her up the wall and she didn't take the time to control her emotions before getting it"
Ulv would eat her food with the same precision and grace of before, and then let out a soft sigh at the whole thing.
"Henrex is, as usual, to blame for the last one. 'Ohh, yea, come get this magic sword. I know nothing of your situation but I can assure it will only be a good thing' and then fucks off when it turns out not to be a good thing"

"I wish I could offer some form of advice or assistance, but I don't any experience as a parent. When I reunited with Midori, she was well within her adult years. And, on top of that, before life hit her hard, very respectful and open-minded. She's cooled down since then, but I must say I do like the fiery nature about her now." Iori chuckled at that last part before she started digging into the main course.
She turned her head upwards as she heard Ulv talk about another man by the name of Henrex. WAs that another child of Ulv's or someone she mentored?
"Whose Henrex? If you don't mind my asking. Is he like a son to you or someone you mentor?"

"I could offer a lot of advice, because I *Have* a lot of advice. But recent situations have shown me few actually listen to it. And, I have principles about a person's choice in life. I can't force what I think is a good thing onto people because then, where does that end? Too big of a risk. Which, does mean I have to watch people commit social and occasionally literal suicide while being able to stop them, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions" Ulv finished the words, and her food, at the same time.
"As for fuckin' Henrex, no. Tried mentoring him for a bit, ended terribly. As, you'd expect, considering the guy had met Mirja once and confessed undying love for her after a very unfortunate series of events meant that that their second meeting ended with her putting a hole in his chest"
