The Beginner [Closed/Sylvia]

Among the many well-dressed members of the Vandereich roaming the Stadt des Lichts, there was one that broke from the mold one would expect from a Quincy. Instead of a well-tailored military uniform, the man wore a heavy black trenchcoat, his hands shoved into it’s deep pockets. Similarly colored black boots and pants clothed the rest of the man’s form, while a lit cigarette dangled from his lips.
Jonathan sighed, retrieving a map from an interior pocket of his coat and checking it for what seemed like the umpteenth time. For all of it’s sprawling majesty, the so-called “City of Light” sometimes just felt like a giant maze. He had been walking for at least an hour, and yet he was only just now approaching his goal. Of course, if he was a normal Quincy, he doubted this would be a problem. If one can break the sound barrier after all, it would probably take little time to navigate this place correctly.
Jonathan wasn’t a normal Quincy however.
The German soldier grunted as his cigarette sputtered out, flicking it absently into a nearby trash receptacle and shoving the map back into the depths of his cloak. Cyrus had sent him to learn from one of the Vandereich’s other members, perhaps presuming that he would learn quicker if the gulf between his and his teacher’s abilities wasn’t so mind-bogglingly immense. To that end, Jonathan had been handed a map and told to go find Sylvia Brauer and learn what he could.
The soldier perked up as he arrived outside the woman’s quarters, checking the nameplate besides the doorway before raising a hand and rapping on the door three times. “Sylvia Brauer? Mr. Cyrus zent me to meet vu if vu are not too puzy. Zomezing apout teaching me zee pazics?”

Most enjoyed a nice, quiet day to themselves. A time to relax. A time to unwind. A time to reflect on recent events, and think about all the good that has happened. Sylvia was no exception to this rule, but...
Today was anything but quiet.
Freshly returned to the Stadt des Lichts from her postponed date, Sylvia had spent the last few hours lounging, going over reports and listening to music, both hers and bands that Vicky had recommended to her. She was enjoying it a great deal, if not the reports themselves.
However, her day in was interrupted by a slow rapping at her door, and turning down the music with an errant string of reishi, the woman rose from her bed and left the many papers she had been perusing strewn about the blankets. Lest she answer the door in naught but a t-shirt, glove and her panties; she conjured her himmlischer anzug in the form of a casual robe that reached nearly to her ankles, colored in the white and blue of the Quincy and bordered with her own gold.
She answered the door with her long hair hanging loose down her back, and a little unkempt from her time spent lying in bed.
"Ja?" Sylvia hadn't heard all of what the man had said through the door, and it took her a moment after seeing him for the first time to place where she had seen his face before. "Ah. Herr Weber!" She stepped back behind the door again, and held out a single digit to gesture.
"Einen moment bitte." With that, she closed the door again. The music was turned off almost immediately, and her papers gathered and set in a pile on the desk. A mere few minutes later, she emerged from the home again, dressed in fine business casual-style; button-front blouse, pencil skirt and leggings leading down to booties with a raised heel. Over it all was her newly remade long coat, in the Quincy's traditional white, with blue accents and gold borders.
Her hair had also been done into a braid by the time she had reappeared.
"Zorry. Zee day got avay from me." She smiled genuinely and sweetly, and closed the door behind her. It was clear she didn't intend to waste the man's time inviting him inside. "Grandmaster ast-Auramazda says vu are haffing trouble vith some zings?"
