Blood Kuchiki
Takehiko Kuchiki

おだ たつや
Takehiko had left as soon as he got the summons. His uncle was requesting his presence now. Not just now but right away so he returned home. The Kuchiki gently moved his Lieutenant badge a bit nervous. Byakuya had taken him in and likely knew the events of Bejing. His failure to save all those people as the wall crumbled. But he'd also been working extra hard. Taking training camps from as many as possible. He wished to request his uncle's aid in training further. But first, he needed to know why his uncle had summoned him. No point sticking your foot in your mouth right away. As he walked through the hall a thousand different thoughts flowed in his mind. What could his uncle possibly want from him? He didn't have the answer to that question or any other. Could he be in trouble for having used his zanpakuto? His uncle had sent express orders to not use it. He swallowed a bit feeling his nerves build inside him. He was a bundle of them just as when he met the Shihoin head. Takehiko just didn't have a large degree of skill at this.
Though the question could be asked why Ulv didn't make him like this. It was a different sort of nervous with her. She made him anxious for entirely different reasons. She was someone that was frightening on a physical level. His uncle was terrifying on every single level imaginable. He'd heard people claim him to be a robot. Which he often denied saying his uncle was anything but. Uncle Byakuya was a kind man. Despite his mistakes beforehand that caused him shame. Forging the name to enter a prison. So many bad choices he'd made in progress. Slowly he found that his answers came less from that. His powers were dangerous by their very nature. It was like exposing a flame to gasoline. He only had one choice ahead of him. To continue but more carefully about it. The pain was a byproduct of how his power worked. As he entered the area where his uncle likely waited. He pushed the door open offering a bow. Before sitting down upon his seat and smiling. "You've summoned me, sir?
Takehiko didn't know how his uncle would take that. But he wanted to stay as calm as possible. The summon didn't have details or anything. His uncle didn't strike him as a surprise kind of guy. That seemed more like Arianda's thing then Uncle Byakuya's. He held his trembling inside of him, not letting it come out. It was obvious that something was up. He'd gotten promoted and been busy with his paperwork. That the previous Lieutenant and the Captain alike had left him. It was a tiring ritual for him to perform. Over and over again stamps and paperwork beyond compare. He thought his job as a seated officer was hard. It was more paperwork and duty to keep eyes on the younger members. That was the nature of his work now. Babysitter to a Captain's needs and a watcher over the young members of his squad. Could be worse he thought to himself before his eyes of azure remained steadily on his uncle. This was an important part of everything. b
Why was he called before the Kuchiki Clan head?

It wasn't hard for him to keep tabs on what Takehiko was doing. Bejing and Madness City, an event that couldn't have happened at a more iconic time of the year. While he was proud of Takehiko for going, defending the innocent to the best of his ability, there was something else that bothered him more than anything else. He wasn't able to stop the demise of the wall, but more than anything, he was relieved and glad that he was back here, alive. Thus, as the young man entered, Byakuya merely waved a hand in response.
"Come in, Takehiko. There is no need to be formal."
For a time, the Kuchiki Head was silent, his eyes focused on his nephew, contemplating on how to approach what was on his mind. Unlike any time before, Takehiko would be able to see a distinct softness to his gaze, yet still held an air of mystery and complication. Several minutes passed with this eerie silence before Byakuya finally let out a quiet sigh.
"I know what happened in Beijing."
He paused, looking over his nephew before he finally spoke, his voice serious, and the features of his face as impassive as ever.
"Are you ok?"
