The Heart Flies Like Wings On the Wind [Ulv]
Sat Dec 28, 2019 12:00 pm
Light clouds hung over the early afternoon of the harbour island. The forecast was for rain in the coming night, though the experienced captains of the area swore the winds would carry it away before it could hit. The breeze built and fell with an eerie rhythm, promising yet denying such a claim.
As was becoming less and less strange to see around these parts, a single crack of thunder split the sky, and a lance of light and energy descended upon the train station that connected such a place to the mainland. The Quincy's symbol glowed upon the ground where it had been struck, and out stepped the figure of a young woman dressed in white and blue.
Sylvia grinned softly, and muttered a few apologies to the people she had scared with her arrival. Despite choosing a location least likely to draw attention with the nature of her transport, she supposed it was still too much to appear at the station. Maybe she should begin arriving at one of the islets, she thought.
Her hands slipped into the pockets of her hooded vest; white with a blue hood and gold trimmings. The yellow sleeves of a t-shirt peeked out from her himmlische anzug's chosen form, and a yellow-gold skirt hung over leggings that lead down to her boots.
It had become easier to tolerate the energy of this place over the last few months. No longer did the feeling of the mayor's presence all around her send her into a defensive panic, though the bristling at the back of her neck still gave her pause now and again. She was almost relaxed as she made her way down the road, then up the hill to the magnificent manor at its peak.
As was the usual custom, she stopped at the large, heavy door belonging to Ulv, and knocked loudly. She could only wonder in what way the woman would push her buttons today.
