Personality:
Artix is more or less a loner, prefering to live alone and die alone if possible because of his untrustworthy lifestyle in rukongai and the human world he has learned never to trust anybody but himself and push away anybody who grows too close to him. Countless times has he been betrayed by friends, lovers and even his own step father. Because of this he has made a mental oath that nobody will ever break through his phsyciological barrier.

He can be hot headed and bad tempered most of the time, he owns a short fuse which is easily sparked by even the smallest of things however below his loud and bellowing anger there is another type of rage. The kind that calls for blood in order to be satisfied. When Arti has been consumed by rage there is no reasoning with him, no matter what kind of punishment he will suffer afterwards he will set out what he intended to do even if that means killing.

Artix is very stubborn and rebbelious, refusing to do what other people tell him to do and sometimes even doing the exact opposite. For example if a captain were to order Artix to head into the human world and exact a small tide of research on the local hollow he would simply grunt and walk away and that would be the end of it.

Obviously this can get him into quite a bit of trouble but do you think he cares ? Even though he does this on occasion he isnt stupid enough to refuse an order that was given to him with strict seriousness as this would result in death and death is bad.
Usually he just tries to avoid all of that by simply not speaking. While everybody else may be chatting away having a merry time Artix would sit aside in peace and watch. Due to this most people get the wrong first impression and try to speak with him. When he tries to disentangle himself from said person they usually become offended and then Artix gets into the kind of situation he tries to avoid. Of course being a quiet person and being a rather intimidating looking man cause some people to choose NOT to talk to him and that suits him just fine.

Please dont take Artix for granted however, the only reason he acts like this is because nobody ever gave him a chance to be the nice guy for once and so he adopted a lone wolf attitude and began lashing out constantly. Despite his violent nature and love for combat there is a more emotional side to Artix and believe it or not he has a strong sense of justice. If somebody is being wrongly gang up on then Artix would step in a solve the matter in his own way. This usually meant beating up the attacking party until they were black and blue but atleast it works right ?

His kinder side is almost like that of an older brother. Watching out for those closest to him and protecting them with everything he has. Once you have broken through Artix’s cold and almost heartless shell and gained his trust and friendship he’s a freind for life and will stand by you until the end. If the time calls for it he would gladly lay his life on the line for his loved ones. Just goes to show how complicated he is i guess.

Some of Artix's habits include playing with his necklace when bored, uncomfortable or nervous, thinking too deeply and not listening to what people say and falling asleep at the most inoppertune times. His worst habit though is his heavy drinking. Drinking to drown the hate, the memories, the sadness. All of it washed away in alcohol. It turns him into a pathetic wreck and he knows he needs to quit, but its harder than it seems.

Appearance:
Artix is a fair skinned englishman, hailing from the rural streets of london. Even though his name is of german quality Artix has no german aura about him, his accent is that of a mixed british/american style. The only thing about Artix that seem’s remotely german is his attitude.

We shall start with the top of the head and work our way down shall we ?
To begin with his shadowed hair which is darker than any night time sky you will ever see is long and reaches the middle of his back, usually it is tied into a slim yet loose ponytail that quite often comes un-done when Artix moves around a lot. Of course this can sometimes be of great annoyance to him but only when it sticks to his head after being soaked in blood. Its so hard to wash the blood off afterwards.

His face is almost always planted in a scowling position as if everything he looked at simply annoyed him to no end but his 24/7 expression is only a result of the rough childhood he had in rukongai. His crimson ruby like eyes are pretty normal until the moon shines down upon them then they begin to glow with an ominous feeling of a foreboding death to whoever looks at them. A rather outlandish quality of his face however is the fact that a stark black eyepatch rests over his right eye. Now this isnt kenpachi we are talking about here (even if he does seem like it) so there is no special meaning to the eye patch other than to hide something.

The big secret behind the patch is actually one of Artix's more personal injuries. The skin around his eye has been gnarled, burned and twisted and has taken on a reddish tint. The eye itself has taken no physical damage but it has morphed in appearance; instead of an emerald green iris, black pupil and pure whites it has now been taken over completely by the color of blood.

His body is like that of a man used to hard labour. Very large and muscled accordingly. There really is nothing more to say than how physically fit and in some cases monstrous he looks. All across his body there are scars, ranging from tiny nicks to huge deep gouges. Most of them are situated around his chest and stomach, much less so around his arms and legs and there are hardly any upon his neck and face.
Fashion isnt exactly something Artix takes notice in. Dressing in the latest trends would only draw attention, as a result Artix tries to blend in with clothes that arent too bright or too dark. This usually consists of a regular buttoned shirt or T-shirt combined with jeans and steel toe capped work boots. The only thing that he wears regularly would be a thin black leather jacket.

Artix has many accessories, call them goodluck charms of memento trinkets or whatever. In fact Artix has no idea what they are either as they were given unto him while he was apart of the living world. The first being a small locket tied around his neck by a thin golden chain. The locket itself is shaped like a small rectangle with a crease in the middle, looking a lot like an old tattered book. Engraved upon the surface of the book is a tiny golden heart. This locket is a complete mystery as Artix knows not where it came from or what secret those tiny golden doors hold. But one day he will find out. One day.

The second item would be a simple silver ring. The surface of the ring is almost always shining with radience and the only visible engraving upon the silver trinket are the enitials of Artix’s name. A.V.C. Artix again has no idea where this ring came from although it was given to him by his own mother just before she died.


Height: Artix is rather tall however he doesn't know exactly how tall he is himself. He'd estimate at about 6,2.
Weight: About 170 lbs give or take.


Zanpakuto Name: KuroiTaiyou (Black Sun)
Zanpakuto Spirit:
The spirit residing in Artix's zanpakuto is that of a wolf with fur as dark as the night sky, he goes by the name Kuroi Taiyou meaning black sun. His fur is sleek and mostly flat however it bristle's just around the neck giving him the slight appearance of a small black lion. His eyes contain a calm sea of yellow entwined with brown along the rim of the pupil. Very rarely acts aggressive towards anyone unless the situation demands it. depending upon the circumstances kuroi can be mean, aggressive and a bit of an ass or a kind and generous individual.

Kuroi also takes the appearance of what seems to be an old japanese warlord. His shadowed thick head of hair is slick and appears to be gelled as it whisp's backwards and away from his scalp. Usually his raven black hair is held up using a blood red ribbon and stiffly lashes outwards rather than dropping down like a ponytail. His hair then grows down the side of his jaw and produces a thick pair of neatly kept sideburns that end with a slightly spiked ridge.

All day everyday Kuroi adorns the same serious scowl upon his wise old face, inhabiting this scornful expression would be a fitting combination of a thin and trimmed mustache and long pointed goatee that are both the exact same shade of black as his head hair. His eyebrows are rather thick and are almost always pointing diagonally towards the floor in a nasty looking expression of anger or sometimes concentration, giving his charcoal eyes a really mean glint of menace.

Most of the time he can be found wearing a dark suit of armor. The chestplate of the armor begins with a gold pattern of royal importance around the rim of the neck hole, protruding from the back of the neck place is a stiff gathering of black feathers that cushion the back of the neck and quite often fall out as Kuroi moves. From there its mainly made up of smooth obsidian metal with white flame like designs reaching from the stomach and curling their way into the shape of a sinister white tiger. Clipped to the back plate of the chest piece is a long blood red cape that is torn at the very bottom, decorating the cape are a few white designes of a five petalled flowers all sitting away from each other.

Attached to the breastplate of the armor are two thigh guards that move downwards in metal layers and are attached via short belt buckles. The last two layers of the thigh guards are emblazoned with the same white swirls as the breastplate, this time however they rise up and take the form of a flaming white pheonix. Sitting between the two thigh guards and protecting the groin area is a sheet of chainmail that is securely fastened to the inside of the breastplate and the outside of the thigh guards by tiny bolts. His boots are rather simple, being comprised of merely layered obsidian metal that points upwards at the toe and a jutted rim of metal the surrounds the knee. This too has the same white markings as the breastplate and thigh guards however these do not create an animal, instead they simply take the form of white swirling flames that reach from the shin to the knee.

Underneath the armor however Kuroi wears fairly simple garbs. A simple purple shirt with three black buttons and crimson rimmed neck hole along with a huge white hibiscus flower emblazoned upon the back of the shirt. His crystal blue pants are rather baggy and are adorned with swirling patterns and crosing lines that dissapear into his metal boots.

Zanpakuto World:
Due to all of the conflict in his personality and in his life, Artix's inner world has taken the true form of world war II. All around people are dead, dying or in pain. Blood stain's the ground and corpses lie all over. Yet it is silent, men stand with their guns pointed as if frozen in place, as if time itself had stopped. Just a battlefield with dead body's stretching as far as the eye can see and no matter how long you run you wont reach any other destination.

There is one thing that trigger's the chaos. Rage. Once artix becomes truly enraged there is no stopping him, he becomes a blood thirsty demon with no reason or understanding and during this time the clock in his inner world begins to tick. The men are no longer frozen and now look more like the demonic horde than soldiers at all. they fight and fight and fight without end and eventually when artix's blacks out from the strain. All is still once more. The demons return to men and are frozen in time once again.

Sealed Zanpakuto Appearance:
The sealed state of Kuroi Taiyou is rather unique in its own way. It has a crimson colored hilt as if stained by the blood that it once held and a dull golden guard. Embedded into the guard is an aborigine styled set of flames that spiral around until they meet the edge of blade. The blade itself is as normal as any other sword shimmering in the light like a reaper carefully draped in a beautiful veil. The sheathe is jet black with a white flame design at the base, the mouth of the sheathe is shaped like a wolf's head the fur spiking downwards as if charging into battle, its jaws wide and bearing its terrible fangs. The blade is inserted into the mouth of the wolf to conceal it.

Shikai Appearance:
The weapon that replaces Artix's katana, or rather the weapon it turns into is a european long sword.
The hilt of the blade stands at 15cm in length. Two hands would be required to cover three fourths of it. The blade of the sword measures in at 50cm (1.3m) giving the overall blade a rating of 65cm in total. In unision with its large size the weight of the sword (unlike most longswords) is a whole 3kg, rather heavy for a sword of its type.

The basic's of the hilt define a simple piece of metal in the shape of a large letter T. At each end of the guard there is a small wooden ring, the rings face the same way as the flat side of the blade. the pommel of the hilt which would end with a small ball or some kind of larger shape on traditional european longswords ends with another metal ring, but this time the ring faces the same way as the blades edge. Through the ring is a smooth wooden stick the same size as the guard giving the hilt the shape of the letter H or I depending on how you look at it.

Around the grip of the hilt is a red fabric, crossing over white like a katana. Something never used for longswords. Attached to the rings on either side of the guard are chains, rusted metal chains. The size of them is rather small about the size of somebody's thumbnail and each chain holds five links.

The blade of the sword is wider than most longswords which are usually only a few inches wider than the hilt. The best way to describe this would be to compare it to the wide blade of a gladius while it still has the length of a longsword, this makes the weapon a rather intimidating object.

The blades design is simple. Just the regular double edged sword ending in as fine a point as possible, although, just above the guard there is a single hole running right through to the other side about the same size as the rim of a shot glass.. An indent running down the middle of the blade, colored blade while the rest of the blade is a shining steel silver.
