Lone Gunman [Madness Capital] [Mini-Event]
Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:47 am
Before… it was so easy to just jump in.
High atop one of the buildings within this cursed place, there stood a single man. Around his body, the purple miasma spiraled and shifted. The cloak he wore accompanied it, his blonde hair shifting and sliding this way and that. Orange glasses rested atop his forehead. Where his eyes were supposed to be, there was only shining green light. If one examined them closely, they would see his irises were simply moving at speeds so fast that they appeared to occupy every part of his eye sockets at once. That's why I cursed myself like this, wasn't it?
The figure held up the .45 he carried. His right eye came to rest, looking down the iron sights it had. In that moment, a shining green eye came to appear, his mouth breathing in, the purple around him shimmering and sliding much faster.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Each shot echoed throughout the city, while the owner of the revolver knocked it to the side. From his body, a green aura flowed within the barrel; the wheel spun as he knocked it back into place. Once again, he took aim, gritting his teeth. Can I still get involved? What if one of my students comes from Shadowfall, and fears me because I shoot down one of their mentors? What if a K-World deserter… well, they should already know about me.
BANG! BANG! BANG-BANG-BANG-BANG!
In the distance, he heard a bell tower ringing. Seven o' clock. Once again, the barrel was knocked to the side, one hand reaching up to his mouth as he coughed. How much time do I have…? Last time, I could just ignore it; but last time, I also didn't have anything else on my mind. Well… I'm pretty sure I can escape it, either way.
His eyes wandered over the plane, taking aim once again with his .45.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
Out of one of the buildings, a shambling corpse had appeared, about to prey on the fallen form of a man. His body was still giving off a spiritual presence; while he may bleed out and die, there was still a chance he would live. An explosion the size of a basketball lit up the corpse's torso, causing it to shatter, its ribs blown away.
Colin Washi spun the barrel once again, trying to assess the situation. There's the madman who caused all of that… It's a pain having to move every time he comes near. Then there's that witch over near the bell tower; looks like she's being handled, as well. Which means that I can keep focusing on this. Colin spun the barrel of his gun back around, his reiatsu flaring back up to the restrained level he was holding it at.
He was not doing much, but what he was doing was expertly timed and executed. He was trying to defend the defenders; a neutral party, he was here primarily to try to stop this Madness from infecting others. The back of his neck prickled; he had managed to keep this up for a few hours, but things were getting worse across the city. The rise of those corpses were making it much more difficult for him to find the right places to shoot. Not to mention, he did not know how much longer he had until someone decided to come after him. Any sane person could see that he was not pointing his revolver at them.
Once again, his gun cocked, preparing to fire, lining up his next six targets.
…Any sane person.

His Revolver spins in its chamber. His eyes look out toward the city. Within his mind, the raging madness seeks purchase, but it can find none. His thoughts are too fast for such a thing, perhaps. Perhaps it is that they cannot be found to interrupt. Whatever the case, there was nothing that broke the Eagle Eyed Vizard's concentration…
High up on the tower, Colin's right hand moved toward his face. His left held his gun firm, his fingers digging into his skull. Alright, Hollow. Are you ready? He asked, feeling a resonating confirmation from deep within his soul. Blue feathers grew from the sides of his face as he drew down his mask, and there, within the depths of the Inner Ring, a new power appeared. Overflowing Shinigami and Hollow energy coursed through the entire building, culminating up at the top. The glasses he wore were knocked off of his face, being blown off into the wind.
Perhaps the creatures could not feel fear. But they could hear the soul-shocking sound that echoed throughout the inner ring of the City. It was a clarion call; a warning. Or perhaps he was trying to draw others toward where he was located. Perhaps his Hollow was affected by the madness, and forced out the call.
Or perhaps it was simply an outpouring of fighting spirit.
Colin's Cybermind was firing on all cylinders, observing information throughout the city. Forces were in combat, fighting wildly in every direction he could see. His eyes zoomed in even closer.
There. They've just entered into a building. Let's give them a little breathing room.
Great streams of emerald light shot from the top of the tower, the barrel of the revolver spinning wildly in the man's hands. Click. Colin's arm shifted, his emerald eyes staring through the holes on his mask, looking at a wall, far in the distance.
His shots were aimed on the outer edges of both end of the wall, great streaks of light joining the ones that had been fired off moments before.
"Tssaaaah…."
The man's left hand drew back, pointing directly down below.
Around the tower, a great storm began to brew. The wind picked up in every direction, knocking people, cars, vehicles, all manner of things about as the twister grew in size, blowing away the zombies trying to scale the wall. His hand remained outstretched, maintaining that storm. It came to a halt just beneath the top of the building; it would not interfere with his shots, but it would make it very clear what kind of man stood atop this building.
Colin's teeth grit in his mouth, his right eye widening while his left closed. He aimed very carefully, Focusing the shot that remained in the chamber.
Then, he pulled the trigger.
An emerald cero blasted outward from his position up on the top of the tower. The edges of his revolver burned and glowed from the force and the heat being forced through it as it travelled, ramping up in speed. It was a ray of light rocketing through the sky, aiming directly at the man whose arms were flailing about, trying to assault the woman that Colin had come to know.
Steiner Franz was about to receive his friend's lightning-fast attack.
He hoped it was enough to knock him to his senses.

Spin Spin Spin Spin Spin Spin Spin Spin Spiiiiinnn…
The gun barrel spun around in its circles, spiritual power flowing into the gun as Colin took aim at his next target. He had been left alone on this building; the few souls who had attempted to reach him had been unable to break through the wind of the barrier he had constructed. Their bodies were gripped, tossed about until they were at last blown away. At the head of it all, the Eagle God's mouth grew into a hard line, his mask dark against the night sky. His right finger glowed green, as he took aim once again. Fire.
The man let out a slow breath, his focus dimming for a moment. How long could he keep this up for? Would his bullets be enough? It seemed that out by that peculiar building, the defenders had finally gotten things under control. Meanwhile, the Wall's situation was simply growing worse. What can I do? What can I..
Click.
Damn it all. The wall. The gun's barrel glowed in the night air, Colin's muscles tightening as his fingers clutched the grip. His left arm came atop the weapon, the rest of the world fading away. He took a deep breath; where these would go, even he could not say. A green aura flooded through his body, and at last his eyes opened.
A single bead of blood came out of his ear, gingerly painting a red line along his throat. His Rapido Avaces consumed the shots, guiding them, warping them. Each of those bullets contained the Explosive properties of his Hollow, and each was being sped up and redirected by some bizarre directional force. Colin's Cybermind had performed the necessary calculations; now, all he could do was wait, and see how his attempts to assist would turn out…

The shrill wind howled against the man's ears. He could feel the breeze, tainted with something else. The shrieking madness down below; it stained the air. His tongue felt dry in his mouth; he shifted his jaw, trying to keep his nerves steady. The bead of blood that was moving down the side of his head stopped moving once it reached his shoulder, joining the red outfit he was wearing, vanishing between its fibers. "Alright…" He muttered to himself, the vibrations in his throat the best indicator that he could still speak. The insides of his ears were ringing, as should be expected from a man repeatedly firing a pistol with no kind of protection.
Man, Alex would be pissed if he knew I was doing this without earplugs. The edge of his mouth turned up in the slightest hint of a smile, taking his arm back up as he relaxed for a moment, letting his muscles cool down heading straight for the or the moment.Looks like they're starting to get things under control. I wonder if I'll be able to recruit any of them moving forward… He thought to himself, looking at the Shinigami with the flaming sword, the Quincy whose strings were decimating the upper level of the building, and the woman who had just broken out from behind the wall. Yeah… That said. They'll still need the most help. His hand knocked his weapon to the side, letting the barrel spin, his reiatsu refilling it before he pointed it back out in front of him again.
The gunshots, the screaming, the whirlwind beneath his feet. Colin could feel it all behind his mask, trying to remain calm as he pulled the trigger again and again and again. Those six were expertly aimed; going straight for the edges of where the wall had been breached; where the undead were beginning to emerge. Colin let the barrel roll in his hand, deciding that it was time to let loose something that could significantly change the outcome of another place.
Ready? He could feel the affirmation within himself as the barrel of his weapon began glowing, the Eagle God's wings extending out from his back as the building with the tornado lit up completely. The very floor began to glow, Colin's spirit pressure crushing into the floor with force. Finally, he pulled the trigger.
His body was physically pushed back, the wings he held buffeting him and flapping to maintain his aim. Out of the tip of his gun, a Cero blasted forth, emerald green in color. The wall had fallen, crumbling outward, and giving Colin a clear shot at the horde that was trying to push through the rubble to the other side. There… As the beam stopped firing from his weapon, Colin's wings folded themselves back on his back, the revolver's chamber spinning around and around after being dislodged from the weapon, smoke pouring out of where the casings would normally go.
