Ack! Of course the brute was gonna pull a fast one like that. Elyss barely registered what was going on until lips are against hers. She instantly put a hand up over her mouth; the back of her hand against her lips looking up at Ulv a bit crossed uncaring for the other’s seductive look. She grumbled a bit at the idea of working as a maid for this woman with the constant threat of her randomly deciding to take her into the bedroom looming over her head.

“Me? Beautiful?”

She scoffed at the idea of her being something of beauty. It wasn’t even the idea that she’d look good in specific clothes. The idea of thinking herself as a doll for others to ogle instead of being the warrior she’s trying to be annoys her. Maybe she could be a beautiful warrior however, but she is more focused on strength than beauty right now. Her annoyed mind didn’t take too kindly to Ulv’s theatrics either rolling her eyes.

“And, a fight is correct. Anything about sex, no. I ended up… far away in Europe.”

"Mmhmm. And I don't mean the physical beauty. That is fleeting and can not be seen by the blind and can by easily lost in the course of life" Ulv spoke, and then she was in front of Elyss, placing a hand on her heart. A subtle display not just of her speed, but of the precise nature of her footwork as well. "I mean your heart, and your soul. These things are what is important in life, and what should be protected, beyond all others. Hold your principles, grasp them like a sword and never let them slip away. This is the core of beauty that all beings can perceive. The core of the only beauty that matters"

And then, she stepped back, and looked to Elyss with a soft warmth, like a mother looks to her child after a long day.
"Europe is a Warzone right now. I am glad you came home safely"

Just like so many other times before, Ulv expresses herself in the way only she knew how. Elyss flinched hard as Ulv went from over there from the sink to right in front of her in literal moments that she didn’t even get to blink through. She took a step back, but stopped as a hand is placed on her chest causing her to look down. As always, she simply thought Ulv was going to make one of her crude jokes and taunt her, but she is a bit taken aback by what she heard come from the brute’s mouth.

Elyss felt herself shake somewhat and grit her teeth as her eyes narrowed and her lips trembled. Her soul?

“There’s nothing great about who I am inside. I know who and what I am inside, and it all needs work.”

She retorts finding her cheeks blooming like a garden of poppy flowers as she looks down raising her hands grabbing Ulv’s wrist. She’s not beautiful inside nor out. How can she be with this pitch black stain within her that torments her mind at any given moment she feels expressive? Yet, here Ulv is saying that what’s inside is beautiful. What exactly does she see? It’s not like the redhead hasn’t tried to be the best person she knows how. But, everytime. Every single time she thinks she’s doing good, she follows down the stairs she climbing ending up lower than where she began.

“Am I really worth a damn? Am I really someone worth protecting?”

She shakes her head gently looking rather vulnerable. Maybe she shouldn’t have returned or lived. Would things have been better if she had died in Europe or if Abigail had actually killed her? She wonders these things a lot. Who else must she end up hurting in some form or fashion. It’s nigh unbearable at times to be able to protect those you truly wish to; afraid you may end up being something they need protecting from.

“I feel so ugly inside, Ulv…”

"A woman who wants to change, is worth all the effort in the world. We are always our own worst enemy. If it is overcritical thinking, to never be good enough for exacting standards set. Or if it is the other way, to believe everything we do is without flaw, that it is the best in the world and can not be rivalled. This is why being alone is the worst thing for a being, because we enter into a spiral that just increases our flaws beyond measure. Until there is nothing left but the flaws. That is why I try to be there for everyone, and you are everyone"

Ulv would look into her tea, and there would be warmth and maternal pride coming from her. Ulv in the Aspect Of The Mother, was a most soothing thing to be around.
"Your beauty stems from the fact that you know you need to sort yourself out, and you endeavour to it. No failure stops this, as you move forward unending"

Ulv would finish her tea and put it in the sink, before speaking some more to Elyss. Her little bear. If Ulv was in the habit of adoption like Henrex and Arianda were, then Elyss would be her daughter.
"You think I am so crass and lewd for the sake of being crass and lewd. But it is in the throes of passion were people reveal the truth of their nature. Weither it is Anger or Love, I draw it out in it's full, so I can know you, and help you"

Everyone? Surely, she is not being called Ulv’s everything. That wouldn’t be the correct way to understand these words. Everyone… She wonders just how wide everyone is? How big of a circle Ulv encompasses in her mighty arms. Such thoughts are not important right now however. Elyss… She knows herself as a wild, uncontrollable, raging diva. But… She also knows herself as a passionate caring guardian. The redhead knows what she wants to be in life. She knows her own morals and ideals, but it just feels impossible to carry them out at times. Her issues are so problematic and in the way, but thinking it impossible to solve them? She’s admitting defeat despite everything that has happened to her. Despite how much she’s grown, she’s letting one mistake get too her too harshly.

“It’s hard to take those uneasy steps forward at times. To believe that you are more than what your actions permit. I’ve done a lot in such a short amount of time. Grown a lot. Experienced a lot. But, sometimes it feels all for naught. Especially, if I end up dying because of what ails me.”

She rolls her eyes lightly at the comments about passion and whatnot. She knows about passion. Is she not a passionate woman even if that passion is expressed negatively, but that simply verifies Ulv’s words. People usually show their true selves when faced with their inner desires. Elyss wonders deep down what exactly would show itself in the end. Will she bloom into a person of true love or will her anger ultimately take over and attempt to ruin the world around her.

“I want to get back to training Ulv. No doubt you know about my Inner Hollow. I also need to collect my Zanpakuto. He hasn’t spoken to me ever since that day.”

She looks to the side remembering those events.

“I need to get better at swordplay; learn more about the Shinigami’s methods. Learn more about being a Vizard from you. I don’t really have a choice, so… Don’t give up on me ever… Even when I give up on myself. I need someone to… hold me up when my legs give out.”

"Taking the steps you need to on the road to enlightenment is hard. If it wasn't, everyone would do it. But you do it. Every obstacle you meet, every difficulty you find, everything that comes along, you surpass it. With great difficulty, doubt and uncertainty, maybe. But you still do it" Ulv would then move up to Elyss, and hold her arms like a gentle offer for a hug but not something she was forced into if she didn't want it.

"Courage, is not the absence of fear. It is action despite fear. You see people out there, you see me out there, acting with such self-confidence it's impossible to believe that there would ever be any doubt in their heart. But there is, as much if not more than you have in yours. You never saw the days where I failed, you never saw the days when I lost everything to my emotions and became a scorned creature nobody wanted. And then someone stood up and offered a hand to me, and I cried.

That, is what I offer to all beings. I offer the hand when they are done, and I never surrender, never give up, never abandon until you want me to. And truly want me to, not just moody want me too"

If she was allowed to hug, Ulv would bring her tight and stroke her hair gently, soothingly. To show her that not all things in the world were bad, and that she was good to have succeeded so far, for so long.
"I will give all the aid you need me to, whatever it is. And yes, I sort of guessed you'd have a Hollow. Hvit is a big part of Mirja's soul, so taking her soul means you've got her daughter as well.

Though, on the topic of Hollows. They are evil shits, quite literally. They are condensed negativity, grown from all your doubts and fears. Makes them really horrible beings. But, they didn't ask for this live, they are stuck there, a head full of hatred that makes you look like a Saint, and the only outlet for that is you. Makes them very easy to hate, and most people do.

But, remember they are living beings, ultimately. They can learn, can be taught, can be the closest friend you will ever have. Treat them as you'd wish to be treated. Never forget they are dangerous, as you never forget the sword with which you save a hundred lives with, is dangerous. But treat them with respect, with dignity, with honour. Teach them that their views on the world are not all there is, and that you can exist in perfect harmony because the circumstances of your birth are irrelevant. It's what you do with the gift of life, that determines who you are"

Elyss sighs before stepping close and decides to hug Ulv. She just felt like going with the flow. Anything that would help her feel better is appreciated. She listens to Ulv speak and doesn’t have much to say about it. She knows this isn’t going to be any easier to handle than her own anger. Another soul inside her just as mean as she is at times with no morals holding her back from expressing her want for eradicating anything and everything… That sounds fun to deal with. Now, Elyss is going to have to be the bigger individual in this situation and control herself if she ever wishes to get control over the Hollow inside her. Perfect. She’s the perfect example of control.

At least Elyss has Ulv to help her. It seems this was always destined to occur whether sooner or later. A hollow was going to one day pop up inside of her. She just didn’t expect it to appear the way it did. Elyss thinks back to the Hollow; the young looking creature with skin as pale as stone and wickedness in her gaze. There was nothing kind about her then; not the way she spoke, walked, or looked. And, this thing is within her waiting for a chance to rise up again and take over. Luckily, she has her Zanpakuto who seemed capable of helping deal with what’s within her. Though, she hasn’t heard from him since that event. She’ll have to sit down and meditate to hopefully figure out why he has gone quiet. For now, she just lets Ulv do her thing to her hair and stays quiet thinking about everything.

After some hugs and soothing, Ulv would raise a hand and a billow of wind filled the mansion. From this wind came a pair of swords, flying towards the muscular woman. They were snatched out of the air pretty easily, and then handed to Elyss, who would probably be feeling their absence, admittedly.

"Later on when you are Captain-level, you'll be able to contact with your Spirit over millions of miles, and even different realms. But right now you need to keep your Zanpaktou close because you've not got a lot in that soul of yours. So reconnect, and then come see me again, kay?"

Captain level? Elyss had blinked in confusion at Ulv’s actions wondering what she was up to. She did not expect the wind blowing around them so savagely before two swords came into existence before them; carried by the gale. Elyss receives them as they are handed to her, but they felt somewhat foreign to her. It felt strange as if not seeing a friend for so long, but when you do, you both have changed for better or worse and have to catch back up all over again.

She frowns a bit before looking up. She wonders about her growth. Captain level makes her think about that man she met so long ago. What was his name? Henrex? How strong is he? Seeing how the Gotei has so many Shinigami in its ranks, for one to be a Captain over many, they must be exceptionally powerful. Elyss with that kind of power? Now, that’s a fantasy.

She nods however before sighing.

“I should probably go rest. It’s been a while, and I’d like to just… sleep for a while.”
