TWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

The uniform of a Lux Orior officer shone proudly in the evening sun. The uniform's owner held out one gloved hand, directing another vehicle to move in another direction. It was quite an unusual sight; nearby, a motorcycle with wings on it rested against a nearby building. His arms moved forcibly, holding up a hand to stop another car, bringing another through. Shining blue eyes beheld each and every driver before giving them permission or rescinding it. Faces of the exhausted, faces of the forlorn, faces of the bored. Faces of those talking to loved ones, arguing, trying to find anything else to pay attention to except for the sound of engines and the peculiar officer directing traffic.

God I hate traffic. I hate dealing with traffic. I hate people who dash in front of others. Why can't they all just get along? Then they need someone like me to come in and deal with them… Well. At least I get to use some kind of instrument... wonder how the band's doing without me. The officer sighed, day dreaming for a moment as another line of cars passed by him. Wonder what she's up to right now… His thoughts turned to his cat. If he spent too long out here it was completely possible she would go exploring to try to find him. He sighed at the thought, a peculiar half-smile gracing his expression before he turned back to the issue at hand.

* * *

At last, he could feel that traffic was beginning to lighten up. Now, I can just get back on my bike, head home, and… His thoughts stopped as he locked eyes the next driver. A strange sensation shot up and down his back. He felt… fear, even though they were still some distance away from him. His hand was held up, indicating that they should stop…

But part of him doubted that car would come to a halt.

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
