The crimson-haired magus listened with curious intent as Ulv provided a lengthy discourse of her martial prowess. From when she held her first body up until her eventual replacement. It seemed as though she held a martial ideology that was similar to her own. Diligent focus upon one martial artform was highly obstructive to an overall form of battle. Adding what you favored from each was very much welcomed in Iori's eyes. Keeping one's self in the box was not something she would advise to anyone.
Mastering one form of combat was not a damnable sentence to death - in fact, many schools of thought would say that by reaching the apex of a singular fighting style you stood at the precipice of martial prowess. Iori highly disputed that notion, having fought many years and in many battles, from the physical to the supernatural.
Versatility served the purpose of shortening the flaws that could be aggressively exploited on the battlefield. Even so, in a battlefield of the supernatural, where chaos and pandemonium reign superior and even the slightest misstep can spell absolute death - there were no levels of versatility or mastery to assist; supernatural prowess was all that one could rely on in those forms of battles.
As Ulv opened the door, Iori nodded in agreement as she walked through. "Wing-Chun is more or less the type of martial art that requires speed and precision - a fusion of defending and countering one's physical attack. It is a form of self-defense that makes the opponent look absolutely foolish if he or she attacks without proper anticipation. It is a mixture of quick-arm movement and strong legs... but, not nearly as much required as Bājíquán due to the difference in explosiveness. As you said, the step-in force necessary to achieve that explosive burst is key. Martial art discourses aside, a good jog on a fine day such as this sounds heavenly. " Iori grinned back at Ulv, an expression illustrating how fond she was to converse with a fellow martial artist.

ULV AUBER | THE BURNING HEART
Heading to the beach, Ulv looked across the several miles of sand and grinned. Sand was an enemy of friction, and really was an effort to run across. There were a lot of things she was relearning, wearing these bonds. A lot of things that she was solidifying, having lost in the flush of ultimate power.
"Speed and Precision sounds good. I got Tiger Gate for that, though Tiger Gate is more of a stance than a style really. So Tiger Gate could be great to add to Wing Chun, if you are into that sort of thing. Martial Prowess is really hard to pull off. A lot more than any other attribute. You need to be really good at what you do, but also flexible and versatile, so different things. But not to many different things or you'll fall behind as you spread yourself to thin"
Ulv stared into the sky for a few moments, before shrugging and setting off at a sprint. Not, that it was very fast for someone of Iori's amazingly ultimate cosmic super powers. Just, a fast human sprint, the chains on her wrists jangling and glowing amber as Ulv set her mind towards what she desired, and began to put in the work to see it through.

Normal circumstances would've indicated that Iori could easily maintain her stamina and match Ulv in speed - especially with the chains around her arms that severely handicapped her power.
Of course, these were no such circumstances. Iori had gazed upon Ulv as she took off in a sprint. Excitement filled her face as she grinned, preparing to dash forth beside her... and as she began to run, her stamina quickly stifled any opportunity at executing a vigorous run.
Even though Ulv had healed much of her body, being in a coma for what was essentially a lifetime to normal humans had definitely left a remnant of its mark on her body. Breathing heavily, she sat down, turning her face away, embarrassed by her showing of such poor endurance.
"Sorry about that... It would seem as though my body isn't quite where my mind is yet... if that makes sense. "

ULV AUBER | THE BURNING HEART
Stopping quickly as Iori wiffed the run very early on, Ulv walked back over to her and offered her a drink. The bottle was warm to the touch and a bright amber, while the liquid inside didn't have a taste so much as an emotional feel to it. A feel of passion and energizing determination.
"Na, I should have realised you'd be not exactly in top shape after the time you spent in bed" Ulv looked over Iori, standing there with a very supportive expression on her face, warm and caring for all who would come to her.
"Don't worry about that. We will get you back into shape. I'll cook you dinners, and do exercise routines, and have rough sex. It won't be a quick thing, you were laid out a long time, but we will get you there eventually" Ulv exclaimed, reaching out a hand for Iori to get back up, and together they could have a walk on the beach to get her back up to speed rather than the initial run with sprinting that she had planned. "Though, how were you expecting to beat Midori if you are like this from something so simple?"

Iori's eyebrow arched ever so slightly at Ulv's eccentric - albeit somewhat perverse - sense of humor, though the crimson-haired magus hardly found any mirth that could be mustered at such a straightforward form of teasing. Or was she serious? Iori warily grabbed Ulv's hand and rose from the ground to stand before her.
"Every part of that regimen sounded good up until the rough sex. As for Midori, I suppose I would've shamed her or made some form or attempt at punching her. In the end, everything that you suggested led to the most beneficial outcome I could have hoped for."
Iori smiled and as her gaze trailed towards the illuminating sun, graceful clouds wading through the sky, and a summer breeze so welcoming that it refreshed her spirits. Turning her focus back to Ulv, she spoke once more, continuing the conversation.
"Midori is spending her days with Shadin and her children, and I'm getting used to the modern world. This modern world, so to speak."
Before any more words or sounds could leave her lips, a loud grumble could be heard from her stomach. An embarrassed expression encompassed her entire face, a small tint of red forming upon pale cheeks. Her stomach was quite famished since her return from slumber. Indeed, it was likely the result of not eating nearly anything at all for years.
Her eyes turned away from Ulv, she said, "I think I'll take you up on the offer of a hot meal."
