The Awakening [Solo]

“Seth!” The voice sounded all too familiar, so familiar that it almost hurt. “Seth Hideyoshi Jr!” It was his voice but he knew he shouldn’t be hearing it. The young boy turned around from the blackness in front of him to see himself and his father back in their family kitchen. “What the hell did I tell you? Always keep those things covered!” He yelled out of pure anger killing all happiness that Seth might have had seeing him again. “You little freak, that’s why you’ll never amount to anything!” He yelled again. Dread, hurt, and insecurity filled Seth as he attempted to throw his hands up and cover his horns. As if on cue, the young Seth shot up from his nightmare, his face red hot and breathing faster than normal.

He threw himself out of bed and rushed to the sink, turning on the water to splash it on his face. Why did he have a dream like that? Although it wasn’t unusual lately to have a dream about his father and baby brother since their death but they tended to be of good times more than the bad. Clearly this dream wasn’t a good one, it felt like hell to him. “You”ll be okay Seth..” Seth said to himself rather sadly, seeing as the feelings he had long forgotten began to find their way back. “Maybe I’ll cover my horns today” he said as he dried his face and went to look for clothing to start his day.

As he left his temporary home, he noticed that the sun shine brightly over Minatumi Harbour. It hadn’t been too long since he had made his way here and was greeted by the strange lady who showed him a different version of himself. Whatever she had done to him that did leave his body feeling a bit, different, as if something inside of him had jump started. Seth hoped that he could meet her again some day, maybe if he made himself into that other version of himself...
