The Silent Kuchiki

Takehiko Kuchiki

Takehiko had put in to join the Gotei finally making his transition out of the Academy. A scarf of white hid his neck from view which still held bandages. Carrying a stack of books up to his chest he went to his room. Having his own quarters were rather nice and efficient in the long run. Sitting down he began reading so far he'd been pouring through books and studying many different fields. Book smart was now part of his education as his injuries prevented intensive training. Coming home finally from his trip abroad he realized something. He could hopefully work here and provide intellectual helping. Sitting down he began reading he was able to process words very quickly. Reading books at an amazing pace and memorizing the information. So far he had been reading notes left behind by previous people. Going through his information figuring things out. It was a very intricate thing he was witnessing in this regard. Scientifically the Gotei held a rather interesting situation. They were ahead in terms of Soul Modification among other things.

Studying the Laws and other rules of the organization he'd begun focusing in on more scientific details. Figuring things out pertaining to the Gigai that they used. Believing he could create a replicate-based Gigai system. A way for the person to be in two different areas. But sadly he didn't know what resources were given to newer members. His own training aside he felt a sort of strange rush. Joining this Division felt suitable to him in the longer run. His uncle had worked previously here and the journal had been illuminating. Takehiko believed that some of his ideas would be helpful to the organization as a whole. But also start slowly restoring his families legacy. The Unabara were an ideal and the more he wrapped his head around it. The more it became crystal clear that it didn't really matter what he did from here. Intelligent thought was becoming more clear to him. Takehiko would begin creating things or at least trying to invent.

Most of the books he was carrying around with him were on armor. These were from varying cultures from different time periods. Also seeing what information he could dig up on the experiments involving it. It was hard to get a very good sense of things. Notes could go back centuries and take days to pour through. Armor in terms of design had always been worn in a certain fashion. Takehiko had been doing many studies on Gigai among other things. Before beginning to draw designs of a specialized armor used by taking a gigai pill. It would allow the person to in theory coat themselves in armor. Well not so much that as activate what was essentially battle armor. Meant to protect the persona and provide better protection in combat. The clothing they generally wore lacked in that regard. This was something anyone could use from a Captian to a foot soldier like himself. Writing down notes he didn't really know what he planned on doing. Takehiko had begun a different kind of journey now. Leaving the Academy to join the Gotei's proud Research and Development group.

The main goal would be to have the armor function similar to their clothing. To feel entirely natural and designed for that person. Freedom of design choice and many things of the like were important to him here. Takehiko didn't know what to call it as he'd seen cybernetic armor Tsubasa had made. Even investing in processors and soul manipulation. The entire thing seemed too human in his opinion. He believed they were abandoning the culture they had. Instead of focusing on what made the Shinigami special. Takehiko resumed focus on this though didn't claim a great academic acumen. The idea was tangible at the very least and processable he believed. The trouble was finding a delivery system for the armor though. Simply carrying it in a capsule was possible for a person. The trouble was would someone allow them to simply put it on? Takehiko worried about those details for now. But flipping through his books.

Studying would have to take the first priorities here. Couldn't focus in on something without means. The issues he encountered so far in his studies of armor and such was simple. Their men didn't wear anything and it was sort of a fair game deal. A helmet which would come with the latest technology they had available. Connecting them with commanding officers and other such things. Allowing them to communicate through a hell butterfly insignia would be best. Which would communicate them back to a set person or people in this regard? Takehiko wasn't sure how to really do a lot of this as he pondered. Armor making was difficult and he'd need a trial set. Something that could be tested for durability among other things. Takehiko was a Kuchiki though and craftsmanship wasn't his specialty. He'd designed it down to the letter and made sure that the material was comfortable. IN design it took many of its choices from the Shihakusho they all wore here traditionally. The armor was made in the same pattern as a Karuta armor of ancient lore. White Shitagi with White Tabi to finish the general build.

This set of armor would be highly stylized in this regard. However, issues did manage to rear their head. Takehiko was no forger or specialist in this regard. He didn't know how long it would take him to begin on such a drastic project. The books laid out before him were on Japanese armor construction. Learning how they made it back in that time period. Replicating their results for a piece to be shown to the Vice Captain. That would be difficult for him as he'd never done anything like this. Takehiko felt creative spark as he pulled his uncle's journal over. Details of many different things were in these pages. Not a bloody thing on armor though because of course not. Why would his uncle do something productive and normal that a nephew could pick up? He ran his hands through his hair before falling over in his bed. Unwrapping the scar from his neck revealing an injury to his throat that was massive.

Takehiko was being given a nickname around the Division of the Silent Kuchiki. Because he never spoke a word to anyone only nodding and smiling. Often times writing things down for people to see on a note pad. Licking at his lips due to their dried nature he decided to slumber for a bit. He'd bring the idea forward to Jetta tomorrow after he constructed it. Though the question was how long would it take him to figure all that out? Wasn't like stores sold build your own armor sets. Takehiko had to think about this constructively as it didn't need to be complicated. He only had to make sure it could be used by anyone in a general sense. This was the goal to accomplish a more widespread helpful thing? Why armor though was a question ringing in his ears. It dawned on him that he'd wanted to protect people and lives. So it was best for him to focus in on the work now. Yawning he continued reading before finally falling over into sleep. His room was covered in books spread everywhere. This was a place of sheer carnage of studying among other things.

The Silent Kuchiki

Takehiko Kuchiki

How much time had passed since he passed out looking a mess? His eyes opened as he moved books off his body. He'd been buried by them at some point last night. Takehiko had been engrossed in studying his idea figuring out he had an idea. So the premise of the first piece of gear was better protection for the foot soldiers. Those who didn't have a place in everything. But the armor was designed to be lightweight and offer the same level of movement and freedom. Protection though so they could fight in this regard. With more specialized pieces being designed down the road. Takehiko's frame stood up stretching deciding he'd start on the building process today. Heading to the Lab within the Research and development waving past people. His transfer here had been completed so now began work. Education about the way this Division worked was important. Takehiko was at the bottom of the roster now and would have to work his way up. The armor for the common grunts wasn't too special yet. Allowing people to customize their armor would be important also. He got to a forge area of computers and equipment.

Starting the process he began to move his fingers now across the keyboards slowly. Shifting them around as he began to move those digits at a rapid pace. Settling his movements of each finger to design the capable stages of things. Writing out descriptions and inserting pieces of information. This machine would help him design the breast place and armor overall. His fingers typed in each piece of information as he began working tirelessly on the subject matter. Takehiko would remain here till he got the product he wanted. Slowly he moved over looking at a piece created tapping it with his knuckle. Making sure it was sturdy yet flexible. Slipping it on he tried moving to feel restricted before decompressing it and making calculated adjustments. To the machine's numbers making another piece of armor. These couldn't be made by masters of the craft from days long gone. They required something mass production style in this regard.

Takehiko would undergo this process four or five times now. Developing several pieces of armor but finding them too clunky or lacking. Finally accomplishing a sense of success when the sixth piece came out. Slowly dawning it over his chest he moved his frame. Finding the perfect material in this regard. It had worked perfectly now the layers could be added. Enchantments and protection against spiritual things. Offering a stronger defense for the people who worked for them. Takehiko smiled sitting back in his chair as he created the first complete armor set here. Developing the last pieces now of the armor so each person could wear them. Putting it on he moved around using sword strikes to test its flexibilities. Offering a bit more protection to the ground troops he had devised the Shinigami Death God Armor. It would offer more protection and allow for mistakes to be made. Though provide freedom of movement similar to their regular clothing. Worn only in times of war such as these by the Gotei.

But perhaps he was thinking too widespread at the very moment. He was but an unseated member of this division. He'd no name or reputation before him as he sighed now getting a bit discouraged. All that hard work and studying could have been for nothing here. He may of just indeed wasted all his time and energy making armor. Designing a particular set of armor that nobody would ever use. He glanced at it blinking a bit as he sighed softly. Removing it he set it down the helmet provided tracking and a few advanced technological marvels. But he guessed in the end if it wasn't good enough. Takehiko imagined the Gotei wouldn't use something a rookie like him made. He didn't know if anyone would even acknowledge this amount of study or work. Perhaps it was best he studied privately and didn't bring it up. People had seen him through working on this very set of armor here. It wasn't like he'd been unnoticed working on this little thing as he sighed sitting down.

Sound effects were easy enough to vocalize. He had designed a comfortable and easy to make armor. With a couple of technological attachments to help their forces out. But would they be good enough for the Gotei to put into use? He did not have the stuff that his uncle did in terms of creations under his belt. Takehiko had come here to learn and study truthfully. Making things that would help him out in the long run. Takehiko inhaled a bit looking at his wrist judging the time table for what else he had to do. He needed to train more and develop things as he went. Takehiko didn't know exactly where this armor would fall, but he could specialize the armor for higher people later. Right now he didn't have a suitable subject to attempt it on. This general armor would work fine in terms of equipping their people. A way for them to carry it in terms of portability would be needed later. Takehiko let his arms stretch cracking them as he twisted his body left to right.

The Silent Kuchiki

Takehiko Kuchiki

It dawned on him after a successful production that this wouldn't work. They couldn't mass produce these for the organization. Armor was a good idea but perhaps not on such a grand scale. He'd done all he could with this concept and idea realizing that strictly speaking, they couldn't. So perhaps personal combat armor would have been a better idea. To step further away from the concept of building armor for everyone. But building armor for himself didn't feel right either. Takehiko had to really think about whatever he did next. Putting time and energy into such a project didn't come easy ever. First one was successful in terms of its realistic to use. But for the moment no reason truly existed for him to invent at the moment. Perhaps medicinal things would be useful. Takehiko hadn't really jumped on that bandwagon as of yet. Returning the device to a shelf of failed inventions he walked back to his room. Failure was an interesting motivation for a person. He had an idea as he began to study medicine now. He wanted to look into the techniques being used.

Among the alliances best medical minds. Did he think he could alter them or change the situation? No, he was fairly certain that was out of the question. He wanted to help people and save lives. So why not devote himself to stopping the flow of blood? He didn't know the answer yet to what laid before him. He'd just joined the research and development team. Only as a general member though so it made little difference. So he sat down in his room now leaning back against the wall. It was time for him to start trying towards something. His kido skills weren't exactly cream of the crop. But if he intended to research and develop himself into a fine healer. He'd need to practice kido especially to restore people. He fought his uncle and saw how that went for him. He gently brought a hand to his neck as he considered his choices carefully. Takehiko didn't have considerable skill in anything but Hoho at the moment. He glanced down at his hands thinking carefully about what he should be doing.

Kido restoration was going to be difficult to learn and even harder to try. So the first thing was to research what they carried in the Medical Division. The medical pack they carried was something he took interest in. The herbs and contents of it interested him. He decided the next logical step in this was to begin a search of kido users. Those who specialized in the field above all else were limited at the moment. The Gotei lacked in this regard a skilled user of the field. Takehiko's notes brought up a name in prison. He could get to her Hannah Chiza through the Kuchiki name. They were nobility and getting access wouldn't be hard for him. Takehiko had found something that resonated in him. His reason for desiring Hoho was to get to people and save lives. The reason to go and do something he'd never done before. To learn Kido and specialize in the field even further. Byakurai was within his skill set. But he'd focus on stopping the flow of blood from now on.

Takehiko would become a fiercesome expert on saving lives. His skills within this regard would match Unohana and surpass her as a healer. Takehiko inhaled softly finding a resolve and spirit in him again. Through failure do we grow fierce in our desires. Takehiko gathered what he could now have a purpose around him. He found meaning over his mind. His injury hadn't hampered him if anything he owed his Uncle. Takehiko's goals and the path forward were very clear to him now. He needed to practice kido and that involved a lot more training. He would focus in on that area and study keenly. Getting a medical bag wouldn't be hard for Takehiko in truth. He could make his own and fill it with the needed substances. Healers and kido specialists were something rarer still. He'd visit his uncle with a new found resolve. He found some kido training kits which would be very useful. Bringing his hands forward he began to focus on that slowly.

Medical based kido would be difficult for him to develop. He was going against the regular Kuchiki practices and the Unabara. Not becoming a swordsman or such things. Finding a purpose and meaning somewhere else further from that. Kido that mended the body, of course, held an interesting nature. Studying them would be difficult and so would his next step. He wasn't sure what he could manage to gain out of this. But it was time for Takehiko to take bold steps forward. To boldly move where he needed to go. Facing the true steps that came from learning and growing. Standing up he dusted himself off and wrapped around his neck a scarf. Takehiko hadn't lost resolve because he failed at inventing. Rather he was invigorated by this experience. Feeling a sudden burst of inspiration and boldness. Though that could be defined was recklessness also. He began writing a letter of introduction which he'd send through Kuchiki channels. Using his name to hopefully get access to the prison in Karakura.

If not they'd detain him and he would gain a lecture. For using the name to see a criminal who was held within the Karakura Prison. Perhaps he would end up joining her for this. But it was worth the risk in his eyes to learn what he could. Anything to stop people from dying needlessly. Only one thing did elude him in this regard. How was he going to convince this woman to teach him anything? From behind those prison bars she wasn't inclined to do anything. Least of all teach some kid about kido spells. He would have to do something risky to his own health. Takehiko didn't know if he could speak or what would happen by trying. But his conviction would not die here, he would learn no matter what the cost. Even if he had to bow his head to his damned uncle he would learn. Kido had become something all-encompassing for him now. Takehiko got up from his bed now making the last things before handing the letter off to a carrier. The journey was to begin now before anything else.
