Danava of Fortune - Sassy
"AaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaa-"
So the Cat held her mouth open and released a monotonous noise, which undulated and vibrated as the ground shook beneath her feet. Oh no, she was not causing these oscillations herself. They were all just reverberations from the thousands upon thousands of masses that gathered at the capital today to witness her return. Their footsteps, and their cheers; it was enough to shake the very land. Enough to make her voice quiver. This was the might of Sirsa, wasn't it? Over all other demonic countries, this place held the vastest lands and the biggest mishmash of population. Gathered all in one place, one could truly see why Sirsa still stood today.
The roar of the crowd drowned out all other noise, even through the walls and the distance. Their excitement could change the very atmosphere itself; it was a high energy environment here at the Capital. Truly, Sassy had to be impressed at such a strong showing. It was not because of her own work, but of the vile queen that lived inside of her. For even after a sudden disappearance, she could come back and still bask in the sheer support of her citizens. It also made it difficult for the Cat to keep the Queen in check, whom pressed against the walls that caged her. Sassy, who now held dominion over this body, struggled to maintain that control when her people were calling for her.
Ah, right, the occasion.
Today, Sola Azerith was returning to the demon land of Sirsa to reclaim her royalty long lost to time and shame. Certainly, the foundations that she had laid long ago still remained, and the people still clearly loved her, as was to be expected. Yet, it was her replacement who created the friction against her. And beyond that, it was the crisis Sirsa had suffered that weighed on her. Sassy need only to look up to see the blemish of her country—a colossal crimson pillar that rose up into the sky, covered in grime and emanating darkness. What was to be expected? Did the current King simply accept its presence? Did the people gathered here today expect action from Sola, to oust this abomination? She didn't know, for no plans had been formed. Sassy returned to make amends for the sake of the Queendom she left behind and evil her eternal partner was responsible for.
What she did not expect was this level of celebration. It was not as if Sassy announced her return. Yet when she arrived here, she stumbled upon more men and women and children than could be counted, shouting her name in adoration. The level of loyalty on display was overwhelming. Simply getting to the palace was a challenge in itself. And now, Sassy stood isolated within her old chambers, waiting to be acknowledged by the current masters of this land. She was unsure if she should continue waiting, or to fully acknowledge the crowds outside in celebration. Right now, Sassy was just struggling to keep herself together.

She could feel it. As her purple gaze stared off into the horizon, peering across the thousands of miles before her the sensation remained the same. Someone was within the throne room of Sirsa nation. Who that person was, or what they meant to the people of that nation were things that Inami did not know. Inami didn't really care who they were either, far too much weighed upon her mind. Still, she couldn't just leave such a blatant summon unanswered could she? Educate in this current chaotic regime dictated that she; Ruler of chaya, and vested party in Sirsa appear to greet, or possibly eradicate those that appeared within Sirsa's blood-stained throne. This was the nature of demonkind after all: fighting endlessly to climb their way to the top. Just as Mana had, or those that came before her. It was for this reason that she traversed through the vast distance that separated her and the throne room of Sirsa, her body fading as she took that step from her current location.
Meanwhile, in the throne room of Sirsa, the shadows would seem to converge. It was theatrical, far from the current state of Inami's mind, but she had to keep up appearances, after all, she was commonly known to be whimsical and off-kilter. From those shadows, Inami would have appeared, her amethyst gaze settling upon the woman who dared stand within this throne room.
When she fully emerged, her pixy-like figure stepping onto the cool floor, she could hear the excited chanting of the populace outside, it was hard not to hear their reverence and enthusiasm. They wanted this one, the people that is. They wanted this woman to be their queen. In Inami's current mindset, their roars were jarring, she was oh so tired, she wanted nothing more than to walk past this woman, relinquish her hold over this nation, and go somewhere far, far away, where she didn't have to hear from anyone again.
However, she couldn't do that, could she? She was required to be the evil one, that's what she was good at after all. That was why, the woman's lips would curve into the languid, whimsical smile that was expected of her and strode forward to greet the woman who stood, obviously with intentions of being this nations queen.
" Oh? Well, what do we have here?" Inami's voice was a soft, feline purr.
The Demon Queen's arms crossed as she arched a purple brow inquisitively. Portraying the villainous queen that many in this nation took her to be, down to the condescending way that she was acting towards this woman.
"Are you going to tell me what you mean by being here, in this castle? "

Danava of Fortune - Sassy
The stale air palpably shifted with the flow of power; a hand from out of sight dragged what little shadows were present into one place like puppets on strings. The room seemed to radiate in greater brilliance if only in opposition to the amalgamated darkness. The cat turned to see, her eyes glittering with curiosity. For what once was barren space now beheld a new guest... It was not the proper owner of the household by gender alone; Sassy knew that much. She had seen Dayālu Seishin through another's eyes, and remembered the dark hair and thin figure of a young upstart. Before her stood a wildly different individual, resonating on an entirely different level. That meant...
She was nothing if not proud to show off her form in response to an invitation. While she had the woman's attention, she was nothing if not candid with herself. She fully faced her proper, spreading out her stance to pose in a way that hid nothing about her appearance: Sassy bore a rich tan not one shade too dark nor light, on a body that was plump in all the correct places, yet considerably still slender in a feminine way. It was something of an womanly ideal, to be honest, and easy to drink in with what little was there to cover her. What clothes she did wear were of the bare minimum amount of white cloth, strapped to her body with golden ornaments and dark wires—there was an Egyptian influence about the entire thing. A black mat of short hair was long enough to tickle her shoulders, becoming more unkempt the further down it fell. But it was the... ears of a cat that stood out most here. How quaint.
"Sola Azerith, Queen of the Sirsa Lands, as you can tell from my audience outside." Emanating confidence and pride where once there was uncertainty, Sassy's image changed completely while she was meant to present herself. And so she dared to be direct with the stranger. "You are not the undying one... Hohhh... that must mean you're the owner of that ugly monument outside?" Part innocence, part treacherous, she definitely knew what she was saying and how she was inflecting it. The rallying of people that once belonged to her backed her up, bolstering her attitude. Perhaps a part of the real Sola inside of her was leaking out because of them.
But at the least, she was conscious enough of that to dial it back a step or two. Sassy's expression grew more innocent, in tandem with her body becoming more relaxed. She was happy enough to explain her reasons for being here. "Well... actually, you can call me Sassy. I'm just a cat, you see. An innocent cat. Buuuuuuut I'm also the keeper of the old Queen of this place, so that means I have some business here." She shrugged and smiled, trying to figure out the best way to communicate such a complicated matter to someone without a clue to how her eternal partnership worked. Non-traditional, and unique, there was no going by the books for it. "I'm supposed to just be a vessel for an ancient and evil lady, who once ruled this place, but stuff happened and she got kicked out for a while. Fixing that has been a huge problem... And it looks like things are still a mess."
Referring of course to the trouble most likely caused by the person in front of her. It was wrong to assume, so she was taught, but to Sassy it seemed a little bit obvious. The real question here was... where is Dayālu? Progress could really only be made in the way Sassy was okay with if she could talk with him. She did not want to stage another coup, as Sola within her was urging her too. But actually... if leadership had changed hands by now, that made things a lot more difficult now, didn't it?

Inami's Amethyst gaze lingered upon Sassy as she puffed her chest out, and asserted herself. quaint, she's probably posturing. Inami would let the thought flit through her mind as she watched sassy flaunt her "assets" in a manner that left very little to the imagination. Inami had seen many beings, be they demon, shinigami, iramasha, quincy, or other aberrant species of sentient beings. However, there was only one being who had dressed remotely close to her. She dresses like Asmodeus did she noted bemusedly. Now, within the throne room of Sirsa, Inami hadn't moved when Sassy had proclaimed herself queen, because in her current state of mind such a minor slight wasn't enough to warrant any real sort of reaction from the Demon Queen. The jab towards the spire connecting to her nation, however . . . now she couldn't not give feedback on that one.
"Why yes, I do own the epitome of negligence that the ruling family of this nation has shown its people." Inami's voice was frigid, ringing with a steel-like clarity for a moment as she crossed the distance between herself and this bronze-skinned woman, who as if seeming to remember herself had already taken a step back metaphorically speaking in her stance.
It was a nonverbal shift that Inami noted, but sticking true to the way most people considered her to be, blatantly chose to ignore. Instead of acknowledgment, when Inami reached the girl who proclaimed herself to be sassy, she'd bring a hand up to caress the girl's cheek.
"Well sassy, I am Inami Asthavon, Owner of that ugly old monument outside as you so kindly have put it." Her voice was back to a velvety purr, quiet and dangerous as the woman flashed a pretty little smile, making sure to show her pretty white teeth to Sassy before allowing it to fade into a lazy little smirk.
" You do understand why I put that ghastly thing there right?" Inami asked faintly, her hand slipping from Sassy's cheek as she lost interest, walking towards one of the windows, where she stopped to glance up at the mirrored surface of the sky, which interjoined this nation to the inverse chaya plane.
When Sassy talked about how she was supposed to simply be a vessel for something else, it would strike a chord within the Queen of Chaya. While she wouldn't allow the facade she had carefully erected drop, Sassy would get a far more honest response than the ones given to her thus far.
"Does being a vessel for another truly matter? All you've told me so far is that some part of you formerly ruled this kingdom. That by no means makes you obligated to clean up the messes of another. What is it that you want to do Sassy?" Inami asked in a tone that was still hushed, but far more wistful than mocking or condescending, her amethyst eyes studying the spire outside.
