Infitialis, The Kokuryu Vessels [NPC/Vessels for K-world]

» Association: Although aligned with the Kokuryuteshi, they live solitary lives within the far eastern mountains of K-world. Their association and alignment is created for three purposes: One, they are naturally born and are native to the K-world mountains and are often given resources and tools from K-world itself. Two, they are often weaker beings when uninhabited, thus requiring protection if they were to gain any form of independence. Three, they are natural born fighters when inhabited by a consciousness, making them perfect tools for K-world, and gives them a reason for existing.

» Appearance:





Their skin tones are entirely tinted in a grey tone, while their bodies are rather feminine in nature. At their largest, these Infitialis stand at 8 foot tall, and at their smallest are 6 foot. Each one has a rather long, silver spear with an arrow-like head at the end. Although they are generally similar in appearance, each individual Infitialis has a few distinguishable traits. This is mostly obvious through body markings and the way their voices sound while inhabited.

» Purpose: Their original purpose was to not be for war, but their natural state as a being that requires a host to reach their peek makes them the prime candidate for a military organization. Although they are naturally born, their reliance on a conscious connection makes them an interesting partner that is reliant on now only a natural eco-system with another species within K-world itself, but treated properly can become something of a resource that is farmable by the Kokuryuteshi Empire. As they are naturally born, by creating a solitary environment for their empire (in which the Infitialis thrive), the Kokuryuteshi army has made it possible to make a great ally. By making them thrive, they have created a booming economy of war vessels for their military - while also helping a natural born species flourish alongside them.



» Personality: To nail down their personality is kind of strange. There are thousands of these creatures living a life of solitude within the Eastern mountains of K-world, all with different traits, characteristics and attributes that make them different from one another. That being said, each Infitialis has one thing in common: their lifeless, sleepy persona and voice is very much at the forefront of their being when they are uninhabited by somebody's consciousness. Though they are still unique, until they are "piloted", the personalities of these Infitialis are rather dormant and very low energy.

Once they are inhabited, however, this changes. The moment the Infitialis transfer the conciousness of one's body into their own, they not only change in appearance by a mass of Aether-based energy swirling around them in different colours, but they gain a plethora of interesting and unique personalities which are unlocked once they are filled with "life", so to speak. Alongside their individual personalities, the Infitialis are much like humans in that their free will is a driving force. The Kokuryuteshi Empire does not force each individual Infitialis to fight alongside them, nor do they try and control their mountainous cities. In fact, majority of the Infitialis choose to align with K-world because it allows them to experience another side of themselves beyons the sleepy, uninspired normality of their daily lives. In return, they are often asked to be part of the military war effort due to their surge in power afterwards.



» History: Their history is somewhat short and as long as landscape of K-world itself. Though it's not very easy to pin point when they first started popping out into existence, the Infitialis were believed to be born from the idea of human infused with the Iramasha's aether, hence their humanoid like appearance. When K-world was created and unlocked, they were brought into existence by the residual thought and presence of the world at inception. During the early days, the Infitialis were dwellers in the long planes of K-world, and very few beings would hunt them down despite their apathetic and dormant natures. This quickly changed though, as K-world continued to grow and more natural beings showed up, they were hunted in droves. What once was a lively race of unique creatures was dwindled down into nothing, forcing them into the mountainous which they are now numbered into less than 100,000 in total. In response to this, the Kokuryuteshi Empire has spent a lot of time trying to bring their numbers back up and revive this dying race.

Although naturally having a flight-based response to adversity, after many years they had found to trust and work alongside representatives of the Kokuryuteshi. When they finally had full trust, it was quickly established that a natural traits and power of the Infitialis was to host the minds and spiritual bodies of other hyper-intelligent beings. The moment this was found to be a key factor of their lives, it was embraced whole heartily. The race that had once spent so long running had found a new purpose, and the lifeless husks that they experienced for so long had been turned into a bustling empire of Infitialis who were capable of not only defending themselves, but protecting their own civilization. Currently, their only method of reproduction is the fusion of a dead body with that of an Aether crystal. Due to being aligned with the Kokuryuteshi, they are able to start reviving their dying race, replicating the original conditions of their birth.



» Powers once empowered:

» Host to humanoids: As mentioned, the absolute key part of this race of Kokuryu natives is their ability to host the consciousness of a being for as long as deemed necessary. The best way to imagine this is as an empty vessel. They are a husk without much thought and emotion in their lives, but the moment a real person's mind is put into them, it fills them with life and allows them to function like a being full of emotion. It must be noted that the connection and transfer of consciousness is something that cannot be forced, and to connect to one of these beings there needs to be an acceptance of the situation in both the Infitialis' mind and the mind inhabiting it. When inhabiting it, the Infitialis has a wide variety of emotions and personalities, but on a small level is still influenced by the person who is inhabiting them. So while an evil person might inhabit the body, the evil portion of their personality will only bleed through and effect the Infitialis on a small scale in comparison to their other wide array of personalities.

» Explosive Aether Energies: One of the most obvious traits gained when a hosting a vessel is the explosive level of Aether felt the moment the connection is made. Once established, the vessel is shown to be encircled by a mix of different coloured aethers. Differing from vessel to vessel, the Infitialis will gain a massive boom to their aether, and become a being capable of fighting and defending themselves on a spiritual level.

» Physical Strength: The most overwhelming change is how much the physical strength becomes overwhelming. Their once weak and meager body is grown into a capable and extremely strong physical appearance, and differing from vessel to vessel, can crush many of different bones, items, or objects with this strength. As a result, this spear that each individual wields becomes much more deadly, as when the swing finally catches it's target, it will be obliterated with strength not formerly seen.

»Shifting the blade: That spear each Infitialis wields? It doesn't have to remain a spear. Based on the situation they are in, the spear is now able to be channeled with aether and morphed into any shape they desire. The only limiting factor is that the item itself cannot be TOO much larger than the original shape, but Infitialis have shown to change their spears into gigantic hammers or platforms that can crush anything by slamming down the flattened edge onto a target. This isn't just limited to basic weapons though, at it's deepest level they are capable of making complex mechanical designs, and even use the weapon-shifting to create temporary items to aid very specific circumstances. At the highest level, the Infitialis is actually able to absorb the weapon into their own bodies and harden their very skin - to a point where breaking the shell encasing them seems absolutely impossible. Though possible with enough strength and skill, the moment this happens - don't expect to do much damage.

» Fast and Agile: Even though they are fairly tanky with a lot of spiritual strength and power, this is also said to be a major enhancement to their agility. Bending into impossible shapes, the Infitialis will find ways to outrun an opponent even on advanced speed. By keeping up with these beings they have proven to keep a very strong method of attack, by using the momentum they build up to crash down massive swings along with their overwhelming strength.

» Ripped from the body: The biggest way to stop these creatures is to find a way to remove the consciousness from the body. If this is done properly, the Infitialis will return to it's lifeless husk of a body and return the mind to original owner. When this is done, mental exhaustion is said to carry over and tire them out as well. While vulnerable to mental attacks, this is also a perfect opportunity for others to try and attack them on a mental level -- through speech and power of words. Due to having heightened personalities and emotions, the most obvious way to shut these vessels down is to play with their heightened emotions and take advantage of the emotions they struggle to keep in check. Whether it's causing them to break down or go into a fit of anger, there are multiple ways to handle them on a mental-level.
