Anguis, The White Serpent [NPC]

» Race: Giant Serpent, natural to K-world

» Association: Although for majority of it's life it was independent, it has become an ally of Kokuryuteshi after consistent battles over the ages. Though mostly dormant, when provided with a reason and opportunity to fight, Anguis will join the fight on the side of Kokuryuteshi. If there is no incentive, Anguis will often let the world pass him by as he simply watches.

» Appearance:





Anguis is said to be large enough to wrap around a planet as big as Earth. Due to the ever expanding universe of K-world, which is naturally much larger than Earth, it is the perfect habitat for him to let loose. If he were to wrap himself around Earth, it could crush multiple locations t once due to his size and mass alone.

» Purpose: Anguis is a being of great fortune. Although not hostile to most who cross it's path, it's destructive capabilities is said to be incredible. Though Anguis is native to K-world, any who cross his path and is not an enemy, is said to gain incredible luck and fortune. Though mostly folklore within K-world, Anguis has helped many who cross his path. Whether it be through traveling long distances or removing barriers, if someone is able to communicate with Anguis, they are likely to be help. Though he is dormant in nature, after aiding the Kokuryuteshi many times, he has come to a decision of action. When the Kokuryuteshi can offer him something of value, typically some form of power or aether ehancement - he will aid them in the fight. For this reason, he can be a VERY fearsome when given a reason to fight. In world war 4, it is possible Anguis could make his appearance, if given the right price. Though he will always fight for K-world, if someone is able to bribe him out of action with an equal or better reward, he will go back to dormancy. Though he will not fight for anyone else, if he is given a reason to not fight, he will follow that option instead.



» Personality: Anguis is very lazy. Though he has a moral code of helping those who cross his path, even those whom are initially skeptical of his size and appearance, he is considered a rather fortuitous creature. The way he views humans, and most beings smaller than him, is like a very careful giant. Though he is not against fighting them and crushing them beneath him, humans are like ants to him. He will try his best to leave them alone, unless there is something of personal gain. When given a reason to fight, it is usually because something threatens him and/or his home world. Due to his mass and size, if Anguis were to join a fight, he can become quite savage. Though a big target, he will be ruthless and absolutely terrifying in savagery.

Friendly and giant, he is often misunderstood. After millions of years of life, he will often ignore people who misunderstand him purely because of his size. Although due to many events, Anguis has a very deep hatred for most Shinigami. Though he understands there is a level of balance, Anguis views the Gotei 13 as being harbingers of destruction, and that they act as the police of the multi-verse. This hatred is something he doesn't come into contact with very often though, as he is often within the borders of K-worlds expanding universe. If there was a reason for him to fight the Gotei once they enter K-world, he would take every opportunity to do so.

As mentioned, he holds specific items with great value. He does not care about gold, diamonds or anything traditionally expensive. Rather, Anguis places a rather high price on anything with Aether. As K-world was created in the wake of Kin Iramasha, he is born of the same energies that are present on Iramasha Island. Atop of this, greater amounts of Aether is said to only increase his size and mass. If he were to consume a larger portion of aether, he could not only grow MUCH larger than he already is, but increase his own physical strength in the process.

Due to his size, he barely ever leaves K-world itself. If he did, it would be because of incredibly straining circumstances. As a result, he is often bribed as a defense mechanism for Kokuryuteshi cities and locations - taking out gigantic opposing forces should they assault.



» History: Anguis was originally a water serpent born out of the Aether of Iramasha Island. He had lived for millions of years within their borders and lived a very non-de-script life for a serpent in Iramasha's home land. Though as the world began to change, and Iramasha themselves became more powerful, utilizing Aether into their lives, Anguis had become influenced in the process. Originally, he was an experimental project by early-day Iramasha to test the influence of Aether on creatures when it is overloaded into a body. All beings contained it, but when it was pushed to it's peak, Anguis quickly grew in size. Day by day, he would grow larger and larger, increasing in mass and physical strength.

At the beginning of Iramasha islands' history, Anguis' was said to be the first every creature to break free and wage war on the clans. His body had grown to a point where he was no longer contained, and for years had waged a solo-war on many Iramasha. The longer the fights, the more his body adapted to the Aether around him, and the tougher his skin became. In the end, the primitive weapons of Iramasha and their understanding could not even hope to pierce his flesh and it became a slaughter. Though this quickly became boring to him, and one day decided to live a solitary life until he could find a world which could now maintain his gigantic body. By the time he was moved to K-world alongside Kin and the Kokuryuteshi, he was already big enough to wrap his entire body around incredibly large structures.

Now that he is situated within K-world, only appearing once every few millennia to any other realm, he has grown twice that size and can now wrap around the world. This lead to him gaining the Nordic mythological name of Jormungandr by humanity, and was quickly a colloquial term that spawned the myth itself. Now, he resides within the mountainous regions which are encased by a crystal-clear sea, ten thousand kilometers north west of Kokruyu city. His body is said to be coiled up around the mountains and underwater, hiding the true size of his body until he finally decides to move and attack once more.



» Powers:

» Unmatched Size: The most impressive thing about Anguis is his size. Due to the rapid absorption of Aether energies, his body had reached up to 40,000km's long (over 20,000 miles.) This, obviously, makes him a very destructive force whenever he moves alone. Though he can be careful, many structures or landscapes in his path can be moved and destroyed simply by his presence. To match his size, his mass if also said to be incredibly large. By resting on the earth itself, his mass has cracked the ground and created incredibly large pits where his body slithers, even creating new mountain ranges. He is a catalyst for change, in physicality, and in the heat of battle.

» Physical Strength: Though his strength is largely brought from his massive size and mass, when wrapping his body around something of incredible size, his physical strength as a serpent kicks in and is capable of crushing anything in between him. If given the opportunity to wrap himself around the earth, it is quite possible he could squeeze so tightly he could drastically destroy the entire landscape. Though there are measures taken to avoid this, Anguis can virtually crushing anything he is capable of slamming himself into or wrapping himself around. If one is unfortunate enough to get caught in his wake, it is very possible they are turned into dust and removed from existence from the pressure of being crushed alone.

» Incredibly tough skin: After millions of year of bombardment from the Iramasha clans, and strengthening his body with consumption of Aether, Anguis' skin is said to be nigh impenetrable by conventional means. A sword? Only from the strongest and empowered attacks can his skin be cut open, and the armor plating of his body be wounded. This isn't to say there aren't other ways to hurt this beast, but the serpent is not easy to take down. The skin is said to be incredibly tough, tougher than most things in the world, but this also extends to his general durability. Outside of piercing his skin, blunt-like attacks can often be stopped in their tracks and unless there is a force of gigantic proprtions, might not even move his body out of shape. This makes him rather vulnerable to attacks on the eyes and mouth though, as his body is quite freely armored, but even this gigantic world serpent has weak spots sported on his body.

» Unhinged Jaw: Due to his size, his mouth and ability to open wipe his jaw to consume many of objects is incredible. Within his stomach is often found to be ruins of old cities, destroyed structures sitting within the acidity of his inner body. As a result, Anguis is capable of unhinging his jaw to a point where he will swallow entire blocks whole, he can take chunks out of mountain sides and even grip into gigantic structures with his teeth to hold his position and tear chunks out. This makes him perfect for fighting large structures, and often will make him great for large-scale obliteration.

» Slow: Though the biggest drawback from all of this: he is incredibly slow. Though he can move across landscapes at a fast pace of his size, in reality, most people with any adeptability in speed could outrun many of his attacks. If they are capable of using their speed to the advantage, or even relocation of objects, Anguis would have a tough time trying to fight. A lot of the time he will simply ignore the speedy targets and focus on what he can actually reach and fight. Though he is slow, Anguis has shown to gain a LOT of speed in the depths of the ocean. If given enough room, he can launch himself out of the water and into the air at a reasonable pace. He is still incredibly large, so forcing himself out of the water is a task in ofitself.
