Blackbeards is different compared to traditional swords of his age..for instance his was made of fully tempered high carbon steel, and its guard featured a brass look. Also the blade offers a curved, single-edged design that provides plenty of cutting power and a small enough size to be easily used in the crowded confines of a ship during those times.

It even comes with a saying for those who dare to even claim it as their own... "No blade can shed the blood of so many innocents and not demand a toll on its wielder as well. After all, all rewards come with risk."

This ancient sword was recovered after Ritsuko and Rein through wits,guts and determination managed to defeat the spirit of Blackbeard hinself upon landing on an ancient island that was rumored to have bountiful riches and items for those brave enough to venture for it.
