A wondrous day off. [Murasaki, Magnolia]

Song: UNKNOWN - Artist: UNKNOWN - Words: 1012
Beautiful days off where meant to be shared no? One of the most glorious things one could do was sit down, watch the seasons change with a gourd of sake of her particular favorite type, which happened to be simply Taru (cedar sake). She had done what she had needed to do for the day, and as much as she loved working for the good of her division--she was tired, and she wanted to have a change of scenery. Not to mention her zanpakuto, raijin had been nagging her quite some time about meeting someone that they had heard of frequently, a “Half zanpakuto” .
It was in part due to the incessant plea’s of her zanpakuto and her own honest curiosity that had brought the seated officer of realm enforcement to the doorstep of the 7th, just outside of murasaki’s quarters. From what Magnolia knew, murasaki was a very down to earth, and polite individual, a relatively new captain that seemed to have shown promise. Pausing outside the door, the faint clicking noise generated by her geta was muted due to her extremely light and well-measured steps. Eventually she would knock on the thin door waiting patiently.
Normally magnolia was all for going in places unannounced, but based on hierarchy murasaki was a captain of the gotei 13. Just going into her region unannounced would be a breach of etiquette that magnolia wasn’t really interested in partaking in. Which was why in a very cordial, manner magnolia simply announced herself and decided to state her purpose here.
”Captain murasaki, I’m Magnolia, from squad four. I was wondering if you might be up for having a drink, and talking a bit?”
Probably a little too straight forward, but then again magnolia wasn’t the type of person who enjoyed to beat around the bush, she preferred to be more straight to the point. Now all that was left was to await captain murasaki’s answer.

THE BLADE MAIDEN
KAGAYAKU NO MURASAKI
On days like these, Murasaki loved to just watch the sky with a pot of tea and some snacks. Was that so wrong of her? Sure, she had work to do, but it wouldn't take her forever to do, and for once she even had people in the division to actually get work done. Now, sure, it wasn't a lot of people, but it was people. So that was good, right? Oh, but it sounded like she had a guest. Standing a little reluctantly, Murasaki made her way to the door of her office, straightening out her attire before opening it with a warm smile.
“Hi hi~ Magnolia, you said? I am Captain Kagayaku, but you can just call me Murasaki if ya like. I'm not lookin' for anything formal.”
Gesturing inside, she led her guest in and offered up a cup of tea, spreading out her usual assortment of snacks for offer, and taking a piece of plum mochi for herself. Where did she get all these snacks consistently? That was none of your business!
“Oh, and I'd love a drink. Whatcha bring?”

Captian Murasaki certainly didn't disappoint, her friendliness was renowned throughout the soul society. When Murasaki stated that it was fine to forgo formality, Magnolia gave the captain a faint smile and crossed the threshold. First, the golden-haired shinigami's luminous gaze swept through the room, taking in the little odds and ends placed throughout, taking in the feel of the room before settling back in on the captain that resided within it.
"I brought some concentrated spirit sake with me, It has a fairly mild cedar taste to it, with faint underlying hints of plum and winterberries, a specialty from my own realm." Magnolia's response was cordial, but also friendly, the rich tonations of her voice carrying smoothly in the enclosed space around them.
Magnolia settled on the ground after walking to a low table, resting her rear on her thighs before setting the gourd she brought with her on the table with a faint thunk. Waiting for Murasaki to settle herself in, Magnolia poured two generous portions of sake into some saucers she had brought with her, the faint silver sheen of the sake reflecting the lighting that filtered in from the windows majestically.
"Capti- I mean, Murasaki... What do you think of the state of the earth? If you do not mind me asking." Magnolia spoke after a brief reprieve, her tone easygoing, but also searching. It was clear this was a question with a purpose.
Magnolia's fingers lightly gripped the corners of her own saucer, bringing it up to her lips for a light sip. Even so, her golden gaze did not leave Murasaki for an instant, there was a strength within magnolia's eyes, a genuine curiosity, a smoldering fire that resided within her heart. Depending on Murasaki's answer, Magnolia would go from there.
Meanwhile? Magnolia enjoyed the burn of a 60% alcohol content, the mellow plum and woodsy aged cedar blending well with the winterberry undertones within her mouth. It was a good sake, and good sake was always perfect for important conversations.
