Subtle plumes of breath broke the still cool air. Steel white fur rose and fell in rhythm to the lad's lungs. Brisk winds beckoned curiosity as the image in front of him began to gradually cascade below. Flight. A glimpse of red wings making gargantuan and weighted sweeps propelled them from the terrain. Memories of bloodshed fluttered through his mind, dragging his cheek upon the scaly outer organ of his savior.

With a bat of his eyes, events began to fall in line. His brow furrowed at the feint imagery of the chieftain's face upon his collapsed eyelids. Yet, survival was what he had worn on his sleeve. His task was completed the way the God's would have had it be. He burdened no weight of evil spirits, a drag of his own hand whipped across his nape. Knowing not of what the presence of an evil spirit felt like, he was unsure.

Thoughts of what the village saw him be turned his stomach, casting nausea into the skies. He was likely seen as a villain, but nothing was sure at this moment. Lifting his blood glazed dome from the dragon's neck and glancing back, there was no sight of a single mountain upon the horizon. Their travels were extensive. Separating his torso from the dragon that glanced back at the signal of movement. A huff left the dragon's nostrils before it picked up the travel speed.

He was able to gather a large scope of the land of Iumoris. The Exile, Ground Zero, and below them: the Malachite Forest. He knew not of these lands, not even their names. Knowledge of the mountains was all that was imprinted upon the lobes of his vessel. Exciting as it was, he feared for his life. No knowledge meant he would struggle to survive. He would have to adapt.

It would come soon, as the dragon commenced a plummet to the earth. Clinging to the neck of the dragon, the shout of a pubescent human echoed among the lands before it came to a halt with the thundering clap of the dragon's weight meeting the earth. The reptile glanced back once more before huffing a cloud and laying down.

Kuta released his death grip before disembarking completely. Recomposing himself with a small cough. The dragon pressed its head upon Kuta's forehead. Their eyes met, yet Kuta's were painted with an astonished gaze. It seemed as though the dragon was grateful to his prior efforts, but he had no idea how long ago that even was.

He fell to his rear, he was unsure of where to even start...
