THE TRADITIONAL DEMON RACE
PRIMARY DEMON RACE
宇宙の装備者
宇宙の装備者
I. General Information
Race Name: Demon's.
Age: The demon race is roughly 15 billion years old. As the creator of the demon race was born around that time, but most of the population did not see a massive growth until a few million years ago. So it is rare that you'll see many demons around this age, as the common age for demons is somewhere in the hundreds, thousands to hundreds of thousands of years old.
Orientation: Demon's have no one set orientation that they are aligned or pledge allegiance to. However, the most popular one appears to be Shadow Fall. The reason for this is that most demons see a lot of promise, growth, power, and potential in Shadow Fall. They will also often follow different royalty in the demon world. Since, for instance, many in the central Demon Kingdom are loyal to that regime because Mana helped usher in an age of utmost prosperity for demons. Whereas others (as OF THE TIME OF THIS WRITING) hold a deep respect and loyalty to Inami for the growth she brought the CHaya nation.
Purpose/Theme: Throughout most cultures and lore, demons are known for their ability to possess. Many religions, traditions, and notes in history fear them for this because of the fact that this central theme that they represent can have drastic effects on both the world around them and the demons themselves. Therefore, most demon's and their powers are based on the theme of possession.
When creating a demon, you must focus on how their personality, history and power possesses them. Since, for example, if you observe Mana you can tell that she totally is consumed and possessed by her danava concept. So, in her case, that chaotic element of discord from Eris's lore is enforced in the world around her and she possesses the reality around her in that image.
In short, each demon will have to focus in on what element of their history, ego, theme and powers are in line with the element of possession.
Aesthetics: There is no one set aesthetic for the demon race. However, it is common to see many types of demonic creatures that you'd expect. These are beings that run along the lines of demons having horns, claws, fangs, wings, multiple limbs, different colored skin (red, yellow, black etc) and so on.
Their aesthetics can also be influenced by whatever power they are consumed by as well and what meaning it holds to them. For example: if a demon was consumed by the element of fire, it might not be out of the question if their entire body was consumed by a burning inferno; or if they held a possessive element of water their whole body could be a liquidifed mess.
The sky is the limit in terms of what a demon can look like. It can be anything from a traditional humanoid shape all the way up to a nightmarish creature from the 666th circle of hell.
How To Become One

- Spoiler:
- Θ Pregnancy: A sizeable portion of the demon population are sexual beings and are still considered living beings. Granted, they are supernatural in nature, they aren't dead in the slightest like Hollow's, Shinigami's or Vizards. Therefore, it is possible for them to conceive a child through sex since they DO have reproductive organs. Unlike humans, however, they have more control over their cycle. Depending on the structure of the demon's body, they can go through a pregnancy over the span of months, or in as little as a few days. Since they are supernatural creatures, and based on the fact more powerful demons can control their body structure, they can have very unsettling births. While some demon's give birth to one, there are some that are able to give birth to litters of tens of dozens depending on their body's characteristics.
Θ Asexual Production: Traditionally, more powerful demon's (say around the 1 or 0 tier mark) are capable of reproducing asexually. However, depending on the type of ability they possess, some less powerful demons have been noted to asexually produce. This trait in demon occurs because their bodies have grown to a point where they have a more fine-tuned control over their physiology. Therefore, a form of biological manipulation is granted to them that allows demons to reproduce offspring purely from their genes alone. This process can vary greatly depending on the sort of power they have achieved by this point as well. For instance, due to the level of subatomic manipulation over her body that Mana has, she was able to create spawn by dividing herself like a cell into new organic beings. Another illustration of asexual nature in demons would be if an elemental demon gave birth through element. (Something such as a child being born from their parent's fire, for example.) One last illustration, but not limited to, is the fact that some demon's towards the higher spectrum of the 0 tier can create children out of their own energy.
Θ Artificial Creation: Often performed by demon kind, it seems that more knowledgeable and skilled demons are capable of creating "shells" with their occult magic. They will often create the blueprints for a body through mental reinforcement. This isn't as easy as it sounds, however. They will often need to think out intricate details in the shells design and they'll have to greatly visualize their final concept. This process can take anywhere from days to weeks. Once done, they will utilize their link to Za Koa and mastery over magic to conjure up the shell and then it can be considered an empty shell. From there, they can create artificial consciousness or insert souls into them via "Spirit Swapping" (Scroll Down to Conversion).
Θ Growth From The Land: It is believed that Demon World itself is living. That is because most demon births are traditionally organic in nature OR spawn from another living demon. So, with that being the case, it has been documented by demonkind that their race can be born from the planet dimension itself. There are generally forest, islands, oceans or other types of elemental locations where demons seem to be brought to life. They are often referred to as "Birthing Centers" and in these regions Demons can be produced out of trees, the soil, water, air (rare), fire and so on and so forth until you leave the Birthing Center.
Θ Object Production: Demons have been known to be birthed from objects as well. This phenomenon was documented in Japanese folklore. It is stated that after a certain amount of time, ordinary objects can take on a life of their own as a demon. So demons are documented to have been created out of glasses, walls, weapons and almost any commodity that one can think of. This type of birth is more common in spiritually enhanced areas, but not ones that have a high angel, holy or pure energy within them. So it is rare for this type of birth to occur in places like the Soul Society.
Θ Animal & Insect Death: Animals and insects are often reincarnated as demons when they die. Therefore, demons have been known to come forth from the corpses of animals or bugs. These often take on their characteristics as well.
WHY YOU SHOULD RP DEMONS
Why should you RP a demon? It's simple: they are possessive creatures. Demons have an intense psychological background behind them as you read their lore and body traits. This can make for compelling role play because they have a lot more energy when it comes to their personalities, emotions, mental health and so on.
Furthermore, they are extremely versatile when it comes to how you can create free-form powers for most of their powers, abilities and so on. So you are given a lot of liberty to create your own systems with demons if they follow their possessive element and other protocols.
And lastly, demons can be fun to role play because there is a sense of unpredictability with them. No two demons are the same and they are free to act, serve or become whatever it is they wish. As, regardless of what alignment they are on, demons are chaotic creatures that possess the world around them for the better or worse. How they choose to enforce that possession of the world around them is up to you.
I. Racial Attributes
tl;dr
Demon Energy is an aggressive type of energy that is constantly feeding from the world around it to empower it's demonic host. It can influence their mindset and seeks to always be the domiant energy. If it's used in a non-demon or an object, then it will simply try to possess it as best as it can.
Demon Energy: Demon energy can be described as a very aggressive type of energy. The reason for this is because of the fact it acts as a medium for the demon to possess the world around them. The particles of energy which are produced from a demon's body is constantly possessing and draining energy from the world around them passively in the background. It feeds on the existence around them, digests it and uses it as fuel to further the possessive power which lays inside of the demon.
And, given the unhinged psyche of demons, it's also been described as an energy that can be made rather potent when they are under high-stress or emotional circumstances. Their body, power, and mind are all heavily linked together and demons have a mass bond with their power that is unlike other races. Therefore, their state of mind can heavily influence how potent their demonic energy can become.
It is also possible to utilize demon energy without the use of a demon body, but it will often be designed to try and be the most dominant energy. It is dangerous for most other races to try and utilize this because it will often try to possess them to convert the way their powers work, their mind functions and the way reality exist around them because their bodies are constantly trying to possess it under the influence of demeon energy. This especially appplies to hybrids as demon energy can exist in them, but it will be hard for them to get a handle on it due to how aggressive it is.
Demon Bonding/Conversion
How a demon came to be and demonic bonding are two central facets to a demon's existence; included here is a snippet of relevant information regarding these topics. More information on these topics can be found here.
- Spoiler:
- Part 2: Turning & Bonding
Θ Basic Terminology: "Turning" or "converting" are two terms that are often used to describe the process of a demon transforming another race into their own. While terms like "marking" or "influencing" are often used when they place their influence within another demon or a race, but they do not consent to be transformed. "Turner", "Maker", "Master", "Mistress" or "progenitor" are all interchangeable terms to refer to someone who has converted another race. And terms like "progeny", "child" and "turne" can be used to describe the one converted.
Demon's also "mark" and "bond" with their own kind for a variety of reasons; and it seems this term can cover their prodiges as well. Digressing, they'll often use the organic method on their own kind to mark family or loved ones. While some tend to do it out of increasing their odds for survival. In this "influence", similar connections between packs of demon's can be made to form "nest" of demon's who are all bonded together. These can also be referred to as "families", "units", "kin", "packs", "groupings" or "rings" in some cases. A good deal of demons will also often accept someone into their family if they have been marked or converted by another demon who is apart of their clan. Such as if a human had been turned into a demon, or marked with the demon's presence, it is possible for them to be accepted.
Demons who have intense affection for one another, or a romantic interest outside of their race, will often express their level of commitment in "marking" their partner as well. It is also possible for progenys to be marked if a romantic relationship occurs between them and their maker. This is often referred to as their "marriage" and some do not bother with having any sort of ceremony. Those within their "packs" or "families" may feel this change, however. And some demon's may also have a celebratory wedding ceremony, but only because of influence from outside cultures affecting demon world.
Part 2-A: Conversion
Θ Common Rules: Whenever a demon converts another race, it always requires consent from both parties. Additionally, once they become demon, it will be hard for them to convert to any other race after this point. Their soul is forever morphed and even if they were to become something like, say, an Iramasha -- they'd still become the devil variant of it. And even then, there is a high chance for complications or death. The only way for them to break this cycle is if they were killed by a Zanpakutō and reincarnated.
Therefore, the matter of turning others into demon's is often a grave and serious one most demon's and the receiving party weigh heavily. However, there are exceptions to this rule. Select demon's have been known to create progeny out of curiosity or of their own desire. Few have even made a sport of how many kin they could produce from this method as well. And one who has become a demon can also make their own progeny through these methods as well. Only in rare cases will the grandmaker be able to influence the grandprogeny , however.
Additionally, regardless of the fact the race they change is living or nonliving, demons seem to be able to convert them no matter if they are physical or spiritual in nature. Therefore, it can be implied that they hold some capacity of revival because demons are considered a "living" race; albeit they are supernatural and ethereal in their nature. Since in the case of Shinigami, they would once again be brought back to "life" as they'd form a more organic body.
Θ Ritual Turning: One method where demon's are able to convert others into their race is through rituals via demonic magic. First, a bond must be contracted between the race and the demon in question. This can be done verbally or telepathically. Once this has been established, the demon will then prepare the ritual by placing the human under their influence with their energy. After that, they will then utilize their linkto Za Koa to then convert their body into one of their own.
This method is often the safest and most common way to become demon. Although the bonds between maker and progeny seem to be weaker through this method. Additionally, they may see a drop in their power for a duration of time that can range from one week to years depending on the case. This is all dependant on how well their body tolerates becoming a new race through this variation of demonic turning.
Θ Organic Infection: This is often referred to as the most direct and personal method of turning someone. If a demon were to given their blood to a subject, or they were to feast upon their flesh, it is possible for them to create a bond with that person and transform them into a demon. Their entire structure will change and, in some cases, they can retain traits from the demon in question. These can range from their abilities being influenced by their maker, attaining new powers and potentially even inheriting some of their personality traits in some cases due to the immense bond between the two.
Therefore, this type of conversion has a higher chance of complications occurring that can lead to death, but has more benefits to it. Issues that can arise is, but not limited to: a distorted sense of self, a period where they must adjust to their powers and sometimes constant pain for a period of days, weeks or months until their body has adjusted. So there is often hesitance on this method of turning.
Additionally, more powerful demon's have also been noted to be able to perform this with just their energy alone influencing the persons body. This method also appears to be the way how some Visera Demonio can be made.
Θ Spiritual Swapping: More powerful demon's or demon's are capable of ripping or manipulating the spirit from or out of someone. They will then go on to create or transfer them into an organic or synthetic shell and seal their spirit within it. Again, this will require consent from both parties, but this can lead to fairly interesting results. Firstly, they will often lose their former powers, but may or may not retain their tier depending on chance alone. Secondly, this "shell" can be preprogrammed with abilities depending on how educated, experianced or powerful the demon is.
Of course, like most newborns, there will often be a learning curve for this body and it will take a bit of time for the person to adjust to their new body. This method also holds the risk of dying due to the spirit being contorted and changed so violently; along with potentially rejecting the body in question. So most demons are still very much cautious of this method and only those who know what they are doing often try to perform it. They are also unable to go back to their former body without going through a prolonged learning curve as well. This can take anywhere from months to years to recover from; if they can go back at all without lethal complications or damage to their body. Rapid back and forth between bodies WILL kill the subject.
As a final note, it is possible for demon's to perform this on their own kind, but the same risk and rules apply.
Part 2-B: Conversion Effects - Turner & Progeny + Family
Θ Sharing: The bonds that are made when a demon influences another can imply that they are able to insert portions of their power into the host. More often than not, however, consent has to be made upon both parties for this to occur. Although, more powerful demons are able to sometimes force it; as with the bonds Khala Asthavon made with Iriko after their battle and wearing him down to a near-death state. Nevertheless, sometimes sharing is not possible as complications between powers can occur. So it is often only limited, powerwise, to one main host and a secondary member if a person is in a "pack". It is also within the realm of feasibility for the master to accept traits from the person he marked, but only under mutual agreement.
Mentally speaking, it is very possible for them to have their willpower protect those who are marked. Usually, the person with the strongest willpower will often protect those they have marked in order to prevent external mental influences from affecting them. They are also able to freely share knowledge with one another through their connection. Although some demons may have a hard time coping with the experiences infused into their mind and will need their maker to help them adjust to the mass amounts of information that can be transferred. This is often because the demons physiology in general tends to morph as they attain new knowledge.
It is also possible for demons to insert portions of their organic matter or energy into the person they mark. When this occurs, they are known to be able to remotely activate their powers in or around the person to further protect them. Sometimes this can be suppressed by the marked or master if the activation is unwarranted, but the ones who are turned or influenced usually have a harder time doing so if it is against their will. Those with higher willpower also seem to be able to better cope with it as well.
Θ Adverse Effects: On those who are not fully turned into demons, such as a human influenced by a demon, they may see their mentality tampered with to an extent. They may find sudden boost in their intelligence, or becoming more or less emotional than before due to the demons emotional driven persona. Other side effects that can occur are, but not limited to: hallucinations, increased attraction to the person who turned them, augmentation to their body (strength, speed, ability potency etc), intense sexual urges, nocturnal emission (wet dreams), dissociation with their race, better understanding of demons and potential changes in their thought, thinking or personality patterns. Demons also seem to respect or tolerate those who are marked that aren't deeon; as they often do not attack those whom are marked unless provoked. As beings who are marked are even known to have been apart of Shadow Fall's faction.
Θ Desire Pulse: This is a term to describe the effect where a maker, progeny or the entire pack itself are able to pick up on their kin calling out to them. These can be done to arrange meetings with one another, when a turner demands to see their progeny or if one of their own kind is in danger. This implies that demons who are marked also can send a beacon of sorts so that others will get a sense of where they are. Furthermore, a turner will often, by default, be able to have Desire Pulse on the ones they have influenced or converted. However, they can allow for their progeny to scope them out as well with the masters permission. Likewise, nestings of demon's can choose to filter out who has a desire pulse with them. So they can decide to accept or block out certain connections.
Desire Pulse can also be used to exchange any type of memory, emotion, thought or knowledge across a pack. So if a demon within the unit is hurting, they can sense it if the subject in question allows them to. Additionally, between master and progeny, it is possible for the turner send suggestive commands to their "child". They will often have to be direct in the intent they want, verbally of telepathically, and it will be up to the progeny to decide rather or not they'll follow through with it. Those with higher willpower (skill sheet) than their turner will often be able to outright refuse it, while those with lower willpower may be open to it or perform it outright. Those who are more powerful than their maker can also have a better chance at resisting this.
It also possible for some connections between demons to be able to have the functionality to share dreams with one another. Desire Pulse can also seen at a weaker level between parents and their offspring. Although, they can grow out of it, some can choose to make a lifelong bond with their parent. They are also capable of rebelling against them as well; for prodgery or imps. However, these are uncommon because the bonds between them are often very intricate.
Alternatively, Desire Pulse can also be referred to as "Empathic Insight", "Pack Sense" or " Family Sight".
Θ Releasing: Releasing is the term coined when a demon or person connected to their bond breaks away from their mark. This is often considered a very painful thing to endure psychologically for demon and to the person whom bared the mark. That is because a very intense connection is made with those who are bond or bonded; one that almost no other race can begin to comprehend or understand due to the high level of emotions invested within this act of influencing another. Members of the "pack" or "family" can also sense this pain, and be affected by it, but that isn't always case due to conflict of interest or others within the group filtering it out.
Instead, the pain is often most felt hardest by the turner. Therefore, this is often considered a very traumatic event to occur within Demon World and another reason why demons choose who they mark carefully. One way for a bond to be released is if the marked person dies. It is has been known that demons will often become very depressed, enraged or otherwise startled or disturbed when one of their own that is marked is killed. So it can be inferred that the relationships between parents, guardians and turners with their children, progeny or loved ones is something that they often become very territorial or attached to in order to protect both them and their union. Of course, more sinister demons who have lowered or more controlled sense over their emotions tend to have lowered effects by this; but they still are known to acknowledge the leaving.
Moving forward, the second way that a bond can be released is often when the turner, the demon turned, child, family member or person influenced decides that they want out of the connection. It will often take something extreme or a form of intense rebellion for this occur on the ones who have been turned; and even then they are often hesitant to do so. While when the master does it, it can often be because they can no longer manage the person, desire for their children to fend for themselves or otherwise relationships can come to conflicts and this is considered a form of "Breaking up" in some aspects.
No matter the reason, it is possible for a person to break out of this union. When this occurs, both parties will have lingering mental pains and they'll lose their bond with each other. It is still possible for them to speak telepathically, but they are not obliged to yield or respond to the other. And many of the effects associated with bonding tend to fade as well. Family members will often try to console the demon in question and they may also lose their bond with the person whom left as well. It is possible for them all to maintain relationships, but it is often never the same. And thus, it is rare for a person to interchange between groups or packs because it can wear down on a persons psyche often due to how traumatic to impacts effects can have on the mind. Though, there have been cases where reconciliation occurs and they sometimes accept someone back into their pack; but at a somewhat less intensity than the first time.
Possessive Power
tl;dr
Possessive Power refers to a demon's element of possession. How many thye have is based on their Za Koa Core skill, but EVERY demon starts off with at least one; even at untrained.
Possessive Power: Possessive Power refers to a demon's possessive element. This is the core of their theme and essence as a demon because it represents what element of possession they enforce in the world. And this Possessive Power is NOT stagnant in the sense that it has to be the same forever. Since, as demons grow and develop, they can either remove, modify, evolve or develop entirely new Possessive Powers.
However, what is important to a Possessive Power is that it holds some sentimental power or root in reality for the demon. These are often powers that have developed over time and have bonded with the demon in question. Therefore, it is not uncommon to hear of demons who have no power, but after undergoing a traumatic event, they can unlock a Possessive Power that, in this example, enforces the element of protection. As in this illustration, the demon could generate a defensive power that relies on barriers, shields, and armor to try and protect them from threats from the outside world. If this person were to accept the world around them, then they could change it to an offensive power where they could produce weapons from their power that allows them to fight back against the threats of the world that want to bring them down.
And, when it comes to having multiple Possessive Powers, they must all branch off and relate to the first or primary power
Core Possessive Powers: At max, a demon can have four core possessive powers. These are primary powers that allow for a demon to have full control of these elements. So, if they go beyond that, they will often be considered "minors" in the sense that while they can have up to seven Possessive Powers with a Grand Mastery of Za Koa Core, they won't be as developed as their core possessive powers and will be limited in control in some way or another.
Za Koa Core Untrained: A demon with an untrained Za Koa Core can have up to one possessive power at a time. This does not refer to how many abilities it can have, however.
Za Koa Core Beginner: A demon with a beginner Za Koa Core can have up to two possessive powers at a time. This does not refer to how many abilities it can have, however.
Za Koa Core Adept: A demon with an adept Za Koa Core can have up to three possessive powers at a time. This does not refer to how many abilities it can have, however.
Za Koa Core Advanced: A demon with an advanced Za Koa Core can have up to four possessive powers at a time. This does not refer to how many abilities it can have, however.
Za Koa Core Elite: A demon with an elite Za Koa Core can have up to five possessive powers at a time. This does not refer to how many abilities it can have, however.
Za Koa Core Master: A demon with an adept Za Koa Core can have up to six possessive powers at a time. This does not refer to how many abilities it can have, however.
Za Koa Core Grand Master: A demon with a grandmaster Za Koa Core can have up to seven possessive powers at a time. This does not refer to how many abilities it can have, however.
I. Possessive Drive [Release Forms]
Possessive Drive
tl;dr
Possessive Drive is a demon's release form where they can customize it to either have one, two or three release forms. They will then merge with their possessive element and their strength is connected to how high their connection to the Za Koa Core is.
Possessive Drive: Possessive Drive is the state of possession that demons enter when they begin to merge with their possessive element. Unlike other transformations from varying races, there is no one set form for demons. Instead, they are free to make customized transformations that allow for up to three forms.
When they unlock these forms, they are usually able to receive augmentations to their power and it should mutate to add related powers to their possessive arsenal of abilities. (i.e. if you are possessed by the element of fire, then you can gain control of things like lava, heat, smoke etc)
Furthermore, creating symbolism around their transformation will also make it stronger. Demons who are aware of this fact will often create names for their transformation and incantations to help give it a 0.5 times increase to add on to their augmentation boost. This includes having a release phrase, a praise to their element and letting it wholly possess them.
And, because they become consumed by their element, their persona will often go through changes in this transformation. So, if you had a fire type demon, they could potentially become more angry, rash or determined based on how strong the element of fire is when it comes to its raw potency.
Lastly, this transformation often becomes much stronger the more a demon has a stronger Za Koa Core. While it isn't required for those who are untrained, they won't see as much benefit as those who do have Za Koa Core as a high skill.
[Click the spoiler to see how Za Koa Skill influences the form]
- Spoiler:
- Untrained Za Koa Skill: Demons will usually become 1.2 times stronger than their base form if they have an untrained Za Koa. This will repeat for up to three times if they decide to create three forms (i.e. all three releases give them a straight 1.5 times augmentation boost),, or they can choose to condense it into one release that makes them 3.6 times stronger than their base. They will often only be able to sustain this transformation for three posts before it diffuses, however.
Beginner Za Koa Skill: If a demon has beginner Za Koa Skill, then they will often be able to become 1.5 times stronger than their base form with Possessive Drive. This will repeat for up to three times if they decide to create three forms (i.e. all three releases give them a straight 1.5 times augmentation boost),, or they can choose to condense it into one release that makes them 4.5 times stronger than their base in all stats. They will often only be able to sustain this transformation for five posts before it diffuses, however.
Adept Za Koa Skill: If a demon has adept Za Koa Skill, then they will often be able to become 1.8 times stronger than their base form with Possessive Drive. This will repeat for up to three times if they decide to create three forms (i.e. all three releases give them a straight 1.8 times augmentation boost), or they can choose to condense it into one release that makes them 5.4 times stronger than their base in all stats. They will often only be able to sustain this transformation for six posts before it diffuses, however.
Advanced Za Koa Skill: If a demon has advanced Za Koa Skill, then they will often be able to become 2.2 times stronger than their base form with Possessive Drive. This will repeat for up to three times if they decide to create three forms (i.e. all three releases give them a straight 2.2 times augmentation boost), or they can choose to condense it into one release that makes them 6.6 times stronger than their base in all stats. They will often only be able to sustain this transformation for eight posts before it diffuses, however.
Elite Za Koa Skill: If a demon has advanced Za Koa Skill, then they will often be able to become 2.5 times stronger than their base form with Possessive Drive. This will repeat for up to three times if they decide to create three forms (i.e. all three releases give them a straight 2.5 times augmentation boost), or they can choose to condense it into one release that makes them 7.5 times stronger than their base in all stats. They will often only be able to sustain this transformation for ten posts before it diffuses, however.
Master Za Koa Skill: If a demon has advanced Za Koa Skill, then they will often be able to become 2.9 times stronger than their base form with Possessive Drive. This will repeat for up to three times if they decide to create three forms (i.e. all three releases give them a straight 2.9 times augmentation boost), or they can choose to condense it into one release that makes them 8.7 times stronger than their base in all stats. They will often only be able to sustain this transformation for eleven posts before it diffuses, however.
Grand Master Za Koa Skill: If a demon has advanced Za Koa Skill, then they will often be able to become 3.3 times stronger than their base form with Possessive Drive. This will repeat for up to three times if they decide to create three forms (i.e. all three releases give them a straight 3.3 times augmentation boost), or they can choose to condense it into one release that makes them 9.9 times stronger than their base in all stats. They will often only be able to sustain this transformation for thirteen posts before it diffuses, however.

THE TRADITIONAL DEMON RACE
PRIMARY DEMON RACE
宇宙の装備者
宇宙の装備者
I. Racial Skills
Za Koa Core
tl;dr
Za Koa Core is just an enhancement skill that can be applied to different attacks/powers/forms and etc for durations of time based on their skill level. And how strong this enhancement is varied on your skill level as well. It also helps in having a more powerful release form for their Possessive Drive. This is an optional skill as all demons do not need it.
Za Koa Core: Za Koa Core is stated to be an energy enhancer and is often used to help augment the powers of demons. In fact, it is crucial to some of their Possessive Drives when it comes to maintaining a more enhanced and controlled version of their release forms. And it can be utilized to help further increase the potency of their magic, possessive powers or racial abilities.
This energy enhancing racial is made possible by the fact that demons have a natural connection to a hidden sub-realm within the demon world that hosts a core of sacred demon energy. It was forged from a large cluster of energy from the demon race's creator with a mixture of its power and death. However, it has grown to be much more than that throughout the hundreds of millions of years it has exist.
Demon energy is described to be possessive and aggressive in nature, so to sustain it's existence, this creation of sacred demon energy known as Za Koa has fed off the demon realm in the way of taking energy from long since deceased demons, prayers and even other realms by agents of Za Koa that have acted out its will. And, considering there are tens of billions of demons that exist, that is a tall order to fill and requires a high amount of energy to sustain and distribute.
With that said, however, demons are NOT forced to use this trait. Some outright have disconnected this link from their bodies as they do not care for it based around the fact not all demons praise their creator. As there is a strong lore around this power that states Deveta (the demon god ICly) forged this and other demons reject it out of a desire to grow on their own power. So it is up to the demon in question to determine if they want to invest in their skill, but it can be of great beneficial use for those that do decide to embrace it.
The spoilers describe how much of an enhancement boost they get per skill level
- Spoiler:
- Untrained Za Koa Core: A demon with untrained Za Koa Core can utilize their connection to this cluster of sacred demon energy to add an additional 0.3 times augmentation to any of their abilities, powers, skills or forms. (I.E. if they have a release form that increases their strength 1.3 times from its base, it can be boosted to 1.6 times with Za Koa Core) However, it can only be focused on ONE thing at a time and will only last for a duration of two posts. Only being able to be used two times per thread with a two post cooldown.
Beginner Za Koa Core: A demon with a beginner in Za Koa Core can utilize their connection to this cluster of sacred demon energy to add an additional 0.5 times augmentation to any of their abilities, powers, skills or forms. (I.E. if they have a release form that increases their strength 1.3 times from its base, it can be boosted to 1.8 times with Za Koa Core) However, it can only be focused on TWO things at a time and will only last for a duration of three posts. Only being able to be used three times per thread with a three post cooldown.

Only being able to be used four times per thread with a three post cooldown. It is recommended a demon sticks to one or two things to augment, however, as going beyond that will require a lot more focus and strain their bodies more in combat.
Advanced Za Koa Core: A demon with an advanced in Za Koa Core can utilize their connection to this cluster of sacred demon energy to add an additional 1.1 times augmentation to any of their abilities, powers, skills or forms. (I.E. if they have a release form that increases their strength 1.3 times from its base, it can be boosted to 2.4 times with Za Koa Core) However, it can only be focused on FOUR things at a time and will only last for a duration of five posts. Only being able to be used four times per thread with a three post cooldown. It is recommended a demon sticks to one or two things to augment, however, as going beyond that will require a lot more focus and strain their bodies more in combat.
Elite Za Koa Core: A demon with an elite in Za Koa Core can utilize their connection to this cluster of sacred demon energy to add an additional 1.4 times augmentation to any of their abilities, powers, skills or forms. (I.E. if they have a release form that increases their strength 1.3 times from its base, it can be boosted to 2.7 times with Za Koa Core) However, it can only be focused on FOUR things at a time and will only last for a duration of six posts. Only being able to be used four times per thread with a three post cooldown. It is recommended a demon sticks to one or two things to augment, however, as going beyond that will require a lot more focus and strain their bodies more in combat.
Master Za Koa Core: A demon with a master in Za Koa Core can utilize their connection to this cluster of sacred demon energy to add an additional 1.7 times augmentation to any of their abilities, powers, skills or forms. (I.E. if they have a release form that increases their strength 1.3 times from its base, it can be boosted to 3 times with Za Koa Core) However, it can only be focused on FOUR things at a time and will only last for a duration of seven posts. Only being able to be used four times per thread with a three post cooldown. It is recommended a demon sticks to one or two things to augment, however, as going beyond that will require a lot more focus and strain their bodies more in combat.
Grand Master Za Koa Core: A demon with a grand master in Za Koa Core can utilize their connection to this cluster of sacred demon energy to add an additional 2 times augmentation to any of their abilities, powers, skills or forms. (I.E. if they have a release form that increases their strength 1.3 times from its base, it can be boosted to 3.3 times with Za Koa Core) However, it can only be focused on FOUR things at a time and will only last for a duration of eight posts. Only being able to be used four times per thread with a three post cooldown. It is recommended a demon sticks to one or two things to augment, however, as going beyond that will require a lot more focus and strain their bodies more in combat.
Possessive Influence
Possessive Influence: Possessive Influence is a demon's ability to possess elements in the world around them through the medium of their energy. Since they are a race that thrives on both inner and outward possession that is related to their power, it makes sense that this thematic extended to their racial skills in this matter. As with this skill a demon can begin to understand how the world functions around them, increase their senses, consume energy and otherwise manipulate the existence around them with this skill.
Note: While demons can drain energy with this technique, this does not mean that they themselves can store it in their body. It is only meant to dull other attacks.
- Spoiler:
- Beginner Possessive Influence: Toward the beginner level of Possessive Influence, demons most likely will not see noticeable gains with this ability. This is primarily because of the fact that their Possessive Influence is often confined to an area akin to a small wall to building level depending on how high the tier of the demon is. In this field of influence, they will often be able to target one object or factor in the area around them to try and drain. So, for example, they will be able to otherwise try and drain the energy from a kido spell in order to either weaken it or cancel it out within this field of effect. Or, they can try and drain the energy from a barrier to break it.
Furthermore, when it comes to being aware of their environment, demons will often have a dramatically heightened sense of supernatural awareness with Possessive Influence. As they will be able to pick up on the general health of an opponent, concealed seals/barriers, abnormalities in the air and so on. However, this is not something that is passive for creatures of this level of influence. They have to actively apply it in order for it to work.
Adept Possessive Influence: Once a demon is able to reach the level of attaining Adept Possessive Influence, they will then be able to expand their circle of influence with this racial skill can expand anywhere from a city block to covering multiple city blocks. In this area of effect they can execute their in-depth analysis of the area to look for the general health/energy of multiple people in this region, concealed seals/barriers, abnormalities in the air and so on.
Additionally, within this field of influence, they will often be able to target two objects or another factor in the environment around them to try and drain. So, for example, they will be able to otherwise try and drain the energy from a kido spell in order to either weaken it or cancel it out within this field of effect. Or, they can try and drain the energy from a barrier to break it.
Advanced Possessive Influence: At this point, the demon in question will have a greater control of Possessive Influence. Which means that the area of effect that this racial skill have will then be scaled on tier. So, depending on how much energy the user has in their body, this area of effect they can execute their in-depth analysis of the area to look for the general health/energy of multiple people in this region, concealed seals/barriers, abnormalities in the air and so on.
Additionally, within this field of influence, they will often be able to target three objects or another factor in the environment around them to try and drain. These will often be related to other types of attacks, people or objects in the area that are powered by some kind of energy.
Elite Possessive Influence: Toward reaching Elite Possessive Influence, a demon will still be scaled off their tier in terms of how far their influence can spread when it comes to its area of effect. So, what's more noticeable at this level is that they can try and drain roughly 4 other targets at a time with an elite level possessive influence. And, more importantly, they are able to passively keep this ability activated if they wish within an area of effect that is around a city block level without much trouble when it comes to the general health/energy of multiple people in this region, concealed seals/barriers, abnormalities in the air and so on.
Master Possessive Influence: At the point of having Master Possessive Influence, a demon will still be scaled off their tier in terms of how far their influence can spread when it comes to its area of effect. And, at the master level, they will be able to roughly target 5 different targets (max) at a time.
Furthermore, their passive will increase to cover multiple city blocks at a time in terms of being aware of their environment when it comes to scanning the general health/energy of multiple people in this region, concealed seals/barriers, abnormalities in the air and so on.
Grand Master Possessive Influence: Lastly, once a demon has Grand Master Possessive Influence, the demon will be scaled off their tier in terms of how far their influence can spread when it comes to its area of effect. And, at the master level, they will be able to target 6 different targets (max) at a time.
Additionally, their passive will increase to cover an entire town when it comes to being aware of their environment when it comes to scanning the general health/energy of multiple people in this region, concealed seals/barriers, abnormalities in the air and so on.
Demon Magic [Possessive Magic]
tl;dr version
Demon Magic is a free-flow magic system, but it must relate to the demon's Possessive Theme. They can have as many spells as they want, but if they go outside that theme, or aren't related, it will either be impossible to do, drain them of energy at rapid rates or injure them. Furthermore, how you skilled you determined how many spells you can keep active per post, how potent your magic is and how advanced you can make each spell.
And, lastly, you can enhance your magic by creating centers of worship for demons, training constantly, researching your element or creating sacrifices for your demon that make them stronger.
Other notes is that making incantations for your spells will also generally make them stronger along with being in areas where your demon's element is widespread. (I.E. a fire demon being around a wildfire created by one of their followers can augment their magic)
THE CORE OF WHAT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT DEMON MAGIC
Among demon kind, it is often debated that this is perhaps one of their strongest assets that they possess. This is because the primary focus of their magic is that they must bring their own inner element of possession out into the material world around them. And, when they bring this element out, they must adhere to it and are restricted to releasing elements related to their possession theme out with it. In exchange, they are allowed to have as many free-form spells as they desire with their demonic magic.
An illustration of this in practice will be used with The Danava Discord. Mana Asthavon possesses an ability that allows her to enforce her possessive element of madness on the world around her. And, since she is consumed by this element, her Possessive Magic is confined to having varying magical effects which are restricted to anything that allows her to destabilize, unhinge or otherwise make the world around her unstable. Therefore, she could create monsters from her magic the destabilize the world around her, produce spells which can cause the destabilization of particles around her to induce disintegration, attempt to influence the minds of NPC's around her with spells that make them mad and so on and so forth.
The general theme with their magic is that is unlimited and free-form, but only within the confines of what their possessive theme stands for. If Mana attempted to use something which induces order in the world, she could attempt to use it, but it would greatly damage her or the attack wouldn't work period even with her grand mastery in demonic magic. Therefore, even with some of the preset spells that exist for demons, they will be forced to add their own possessive element into it.
Active Spells Per Post
Click the spoiler below to view how your skill level influences how many spells you can keep active per post
- Spoiler:
- Additionally, while demons can form unlimited spells across most levels above beginner, they are limited in the number of spells that they can keep active at a time. For example, a beginner in demonic magic can keep at least one demon spell active at a time. Whereas a grandmaster can use, at a max, six spells. Therefore, from every skill level from beginner to grandmaster allows them one more spell they can keep active per turn
Beginner: 1 Demon Spells Active On The Field Per Turn
Adept: 2 Demon Spells Active On The Field Per Turn
Advanced: 3 Demon Spells Active On The Field Per Turn
Elite: 4 Demon Spells Active On The Field Per Turn
Master: 5 Demon Spells Active On The Field Per Turn
Grand Master: 6 Demon Spells Active On The Field Per Turn

Demon Magic Potency
tl;dr
Demon Magic Potency just refers how potent your spells will become based on the skill you have as a demon. These are scaled view the powerscale of PH and, regardless of tier, your demon's magical potency will increase as they master this skill.
Refer to this guide: https://www.platinumhearts.net/t17623-a-guide-to-attack-potency-battle-guide
Click the spoiler below to see how attack potency and demon magic skill level influences your demon's magic
- Spoiler:
- Potency, in the PH Verse, refers to the destructive capacity of the attack. Therefore, the more skilled a person is in Demon Magic, the more potent their magic based attacks will be even if they are on a lower tier. That means that they can summon attacks, potentially, that can affect even 1 and 0 tiers if they are on a lower tier.
The more skilled you are in demon magic, the more potent your spells are supposed to be even if you are on a lower tier. So even if you are a 0 tier, if you have a beginner in demon magic, your attacks would be as a potent as a 4 tier kido user in terms of how effective it can be in possessing the world around them. Whereas, if you are a high 3 tier user, but have an elite in demon magic, you could potentially have demon spell attacks that can go toe to toe with higher tiers.
However, even if you are a highly skilled demon magic user on the lower end of the tier spectrum, it should be noted that you should not start out with your max potency from the start. This is because they suffer more drain and exhaustion than their higher tier counterpart. For example: Mana's GM in Demon Magic could help her produce reality warping magic much easier and with less strain to her energy and body than a grandmaster at 3 tier. So, much like an athlete, it is recommended you pace yourself in a fight unless you have the energy reserves to sustain that effort.
Additionally, it's worth noting that while lower tiers can attain a GM in Demon Magic, the advantages that the higher tiers have is that they can create more large-scale effects. That is, a 2 tier with a GM in Demon Magic may have the area of effect with their magic restrained to a a small town scale, whereas a full powered attack from a 0 tier GM with Demon Magic could potentially wipe out entire cities or mountains.
With that said, this is all designed to further incentivize a demon to spend more time cultivating their magic because the more time you spend training it, the better potent your magic will become and the better chance you have of possessing the world around you with your possessive element.
Beginner Demon Magic: If you are a beginner in demon magic, then you will be scaled to a potency level equal to that of a wall to building level. (This does not mean you will be restricted to this area of effect if you are a higher tier.)
Adept Demon Magic: If you are an adept in demon magic, then you will be scaled to a potency level equal to that of a city block to multiple city block level. (This does not mean you will be restricted to this area of effect if you are a higher tier, or that you are able to expand to this area of effect if you are a lower tier. It just describes the potency and attack power your magic has.)
Advanced Demon Magic: If you are an advanced in demon magic, then your spells will have an attack potency equal to a small town to full town level. (This does not mean you will be restricted to this area of effect if you are a higher tier, or that you are able to expand to this area of effect if you are a lower tier. It just describes the potency and attack power your magic has.)
Elite Demon Magic: If you are an elite in demon magic, then your spells will have an attack potency equal to city to mountain level in terms of attack potency. (This does not mean you will be restricted to this area of effect if you are a higher tier, or that you are able to expand to this area of effect if you are a lower tier. It just describes the potency and attack power your magic has.)
Master Demon Magic: If you are a master in demon magic, then your spells will have an attack potency equal to island to country level influence. (This does not mean you will be restricted to this area of effect if you are a higher tier, or that you are able to expand to this area of effect if you are a lower tier. It just describes the potency and attacks power your magic has.)
Grand Master Demon Magic: Lastly, if you have a grandmaster in Demon Magic, then your attack potency will be equal from continental influence to planet level in terms of attack potency.
How To Train Demon Magic
tl;dr
These are just recommended ways to enhance your demon's magic. The more your demon learns about their possessive magic, bonds with it, trains with it, fights with it or gets people to worship or make sacrifices for it; the stronger it will eventually become over time.
Click the spoiler below if you want to explore ways to try and train your magic.
- Spoiler:
- Bonding: If there is no sentimental attachment to their power of possession, then it will naturally be weaker when applied in the realm of magic. Therefore, it is wise for a demon to connect the pieces of what made their ego in order to fully awaken their demonic magic. This means that they must understand who they are as a person, why their element resonates with them and what their possession does for the world around them.
Execution & Exercise: If you do not train your body, then you do not grow. The same applies to demon magic. Much in the same way physical exercise strengthens muscles when they are pushed beyond their limit, as too much proper execution and exercise of demon magic be applied if they want to go beyond their current level of skill. They must practice or push themselves in combat in order to further bond with their possessive element in order for it to grow, thrive and advance to the next level of power.
Research: Research is rather important to demon magic. Why? If you aren't aware of what your possessive element is, then you will never be able to infuse new applications for your magic.
The demon's brain is one that absorbs knowledge, stores it away and then spreads this data into the circuits of magic that exist within their body. When your demon spends time analyzing everything that their element is about, only then can they begin to expand their intelligence and conjure up more complex applications of their magic.
As, while demonic magic does not solely rely on the mind, it still requires imagination/creativity, mental stamina to keep focused on their magic and the ability to grow and learn in order to unleash the best elements of their magic.

Other Notes About Demon Magic
External Augmentation
TL;DR
External Augmentations are just extra boosts that your demon get when they are around their element. The potency of these boost will vary based on their skill over their demonic magic. However, it must be done without their influence for it to work.
(I.E. if there was a Possessive Magic based around fire, then a person simply couldn't start a fire to get this external augmentation boost. It would have to be produced naturally or someone else beside the demon would have to start a fire of some kind.)
Click the spoiler below to see how external elements can influence your demons magic.
- Spoiler:
- External Augmentation: A demon's magic is at it's strongest when they are in their prime element. Once again, I'm going to use Mana as an example. Provided she hasn't directly caused an event of mass madness, destabilization or destruction/chaos; Mana can potentially tap into her possessive element of chaos to help siphon energy from this element of chaos to help empower her magic.
Thus,if they can possess the energy around them that is RELATED to their possessive element, then their magic will often be two times stronger than normal. However, this buff has a cycle for when it's active. When they first enter the zone where their possessive element is active, they can have a variable augmentation (it will be listed below based on skill)
It should be noted, however, each usage after the first time will cause a strain on their body. So it should be used with surgery in mind. Every demon gets a free pass the first time they activate their external augmentation, but they will notice their body growing more heavy, weary and tired the more times they use it per thread. And, if they are critically injured, they CANNOT use this augmentation boost. They have to be at least 50% health and energy in order for this to work. Otherwise, their body will NOT handle it.
Beginner External Augmentation: A demon will see a 1.5 times increase in their magic when they are within their possessive element at the beginner level. This will last for two posts before it has a two post cooldown before it is active again and can be used three times per thread.
Adept External Augmentation: A demon will see a 2 times increase in their magic when they are within their possessive element at the adept level. This will last for three posts before it has a two post cooldown before it is active again and can be used four times per thread.
Advanced External Augmentation: A demon will see a 2.5 times increase in their magic when they are within their possessive element at the advanced level. This will last for four posts before it has a three post cooldown before it is active again and can be used four times per thread.
Elite External Augmentation: A demon will see a 3 times increase in their magic when they are within their possessive element at the beginner level. This will last for four posts before it has a three post cooldown before it is active again and can be used five times per thread.
Master External Augmentation: A demon will see a 3.5 times increase in their magic when they are within their possessive element at the master level. This will last for five posts before it has a three post cooldown before it is active again and can be used five times per thread.
Grand Master External Augmentation: A demon will see a 4 times increase in their magic when they are within their possessive element at the grandmaster level. This will last for six posts before it has a four post cooldown before it is active again and can be used four times per thread.
Incantations
Incantations: Incantations are important to demonic magic because of the fact it shows further bonding with their spells. Therefore, if the demon in question wants to reach their strongest magical potential, then it is recommended that they create an incantation before their spell. However, the primary limitation with this is that the incantations have a limit to how many times they can be used before their effectiveness wears out. Thus, skill plays a factor in how potent this ability will be.
Click the spoiler below to see how each different level of demon magic skill influences their incantations.
- Spoiler:
- Beginner Incantation Strength: If you have a beginner with demon magic, then your incantations will allow your demon's spell to have 1.2x boost and they can use this incantation boost two times per thread on the same spell.
Adept Incantation Strength: If you have an adept with demon magic, then your incantations will allow your demon's spell to have 1.5x boost and they can use this incantation boost three times per thread on the same spell.
Advanced Incantation Strength: If you have an advanced with demon magic, then your incantations will allow your demon's spell to have 2x boost and they can use this incantation boost four times per thread on the same spell.
Elite Incantation Strength: If you have an elite with demon magic, then your incantations will allow your demon's spell to have 2.5x boost and they can use this incantation boost five times per thread on the same spell.
Master Incantation Strength: If you have a master with demon magic, then your incantations will allow your demon's spell to have 3x boost and they can use this incantation boost six times per thread on the same spell.
Grand Master Incantation Strength: If you have a beginner with demon magic, then your incantations will allow your demon's spell to have 3.5x boost and they can use this incantation boost seven times per thread on the same spell.
Sacrifices
TL;DR
Sacrifices are just spells designed to induce magical effects, enhance a demon's magic/strength and make events happen in reality based on sacrifices that are either sentimental to the demon/person executing the sacrifice, related to their element, are pre-established or use some kind of medium to give up to make these powerful spells work.
Sacrifices: Sacrifices are not only tools used to help enhance the magic of a demon for the long-term, but there are also short-term sacrifices as well that can be used to influence a demon's magic potency. These sacrifices can often be made by others or even by the demon themselves. In order for them to have an effect, however, these offerings must hold some value to the subject. A few examples include monetary things such as cash, energy, objects, body parts and even other lives if need be.
However, the sacrifices themselves won't truly become potent unless they hold a sentimental value to them. There are many mediums in this world which can hold varying degrees of value to a person, but those which are closest to the heart will often hold the strongest effect.
Additionally, while free-form sacrifices can be created, they won't be as effective as sacrifice with pre-established protocols. So it is recommended for most demons to create sacrificial spells for their followers to enforce if they want the strongest effect. This is because they are hard-set rules which are birthed into the universe, set in stone and create more of a bond between the demon and their power.
(Note: The person making the sacrifice can also receive benefits from sacrificial spells as well. However, the demon has to activate it and allow for it to happen.)
[CLICK THE SPOILERS BELOW TO VIEW THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF SACRIFICES]
- Spoiler:
- Pre-Established Sacrificial Spells
Pre-Established Sacrificial Spells are typically the strongest and most potent type of sacrifices that a demon has. It is recommended they create a series of protocols and actions that a person must follow to invoke the sacrifice. This will establish a strong meaning and bond between before the person making the sacrifice and the demon. (Alternatively, though, the demon can make the sacrifice themselves, but it has to be something of value to them)
Additionally, pre-established Sacrificial Spells tend to be the most potent and strongest when they are intermixed with sentimental sacrifices. As, when that occurs, a wide variety of effects can be induced by Pre-Established Spells. They can potentially be used to induce temporary tier/skill upgrades (though permanent ones are possible if something substantial is given in exchange. The parameters of what constitutes that change as being approvable will be left up to staff, however), new form unlocks, enhancements of power or whatever else the person can think of.
Non-Sentimental Sacrifices: Non-Sentimental sacrifices can be defined as anything that can be used as a medium to transfer one resource to a demon's magic. So this can be confined to things such as energy, objects, money or whatever else have you. Non-Sentimental sacrifices are often temporary in nature as well and are best used for spells or on-the-spot sacrifices that need to boost the demon.
For example: if two demons were working together, an injured demon could sacrifice portions of his energy to the stronger in order to temporarily give him a boost to defeat an enemy. Or, if a demon and a human were working together, the human could give up a weapon like their gun to increase the attack power of a demon depending on the spell.
So Non-Sentimental Sacrifices can be thought of as sacrificial spells that are extremely finite in nature.
Possessive Sacrifice - Sacrifices Related To Possessive Element: Now, sacrifices related to a demon's possessive element have the potential to be strong if they are mixed together with sentimental and pre-established sacrificial spells. However, even without them, they can still pack quite a punch. The reason for this is because they are aligned with the demon's natural possessive essence and it will hone in more on something related to do rather than random unrelated sacrifices.
What is an example of a Possessive Sacrifice? Well, in the case of Mana who deals with Chaos + Madness related elements, she could have someone sacrifice their sanity in order to enhance the strength/tier/skill of either the person giving up their sanity either temporarily or permanently depending on how much of it they give up to her. Another instance of a Possessive Sacrifice is if you had a demon who dealt in fire had one of their followers commit arson to create a wildfire in a forest to kill forest life/humans/whatever else with it in order to either enhance both of their strengths or just the demon in question.
Sentimental Sacrifices: Sentimental Sacrifices tend to be some of the strongest since the world around them is based around attachment. Therefore, if you can combine a sentimental sacrifice with the other types of sacrificial spells, you will often have a powerful sacrifice at the demon's hand. Sentimental Sacrifices merely require the demon or their follower to give-up something that is near and dear to their heart. While sentimental sacrifices ARE NOT limited to these examples, here are a few illustrations: they can give up portions of their memory, sentimental objects (such as an un-replaceable photo of someone long dead, or a locket from their lover), their life (these tend to be incredibly strong if they give up their life for a reason) or whatever else have you.
Thus, Sentimental Sacrifices will often produce some of the strongest spells as they can potentially induce permanent effects more often than not when they are used because of the value being given up by the user. So feel free to use more long-lasting effects with these kinds of spells.
Demonic Worship
tl;dr
Demonic Worship is just another way for demons to create spells or enhancements to improve their strength or the strength of those around them. This can be extremely effective if they create a place or worship for their possessive magic. However, this cannot be done when the character is approved unless otherwise approved by staff because anyone can just write they had a massive following upon creation of their app.
Click the spoiler below if you want to go ahead and view how worship can improve your demon's magic.
- Spoiler:
- Demonic Worship: Worship is important to Demonic Magic. The reason for this is because of the fact that they can become empowered and enhance their magic further when they are able to build occult-like followings with the teachings of their possessive magic. It is part of the reason why Khala herself was able to wield so much power when she waged her holy war against the Soul Society. There was a high number of devote followers of her religion that would give their lives up for the teachings of her seemly holy possessive magic.
Therefore, worship is a noteworthy way for a demon to build their magical strength up. However, for most IC characters, this will often have to be done in thread unless staff otherwise say so upon approval on their app. This is to prevent people from abusing the system because potentially anyone can just say they built a large following from scratch in the context of their history. Additionally, Demonic Worship is often stronger when IC characters give their praise to the demon in question because our private characters are far stronger/potent than the average NPC.
How Demonic Worship Can Be Applied
Demonic Worship is practically applied when there are pre-set worship spells put in place by the demon for their followers to execute upon. They can give them offerings, sacrifices (see sacrificial demon magic for more information), praises and wish for their blessings. For example: since Khala has a massive following for those who execute Khalaism, she could create Worship Magic which blesses those who pray to her power with a temporary boost in power from their collective pool of worship in connection to her power. In another illustration, perhaps a damaged fire demon could receive worship from his followers by them offering their energy to give praise to him.
Really, it's ultimately up to the demon in question to figure out how to best execute this within the constraints of their power. As it's best to network with other people in order to have a larger system of energy to tap into to create these followings of worship. Either that, or focus on quality and try to create tribes of IC characters who are invested into these followings to increase their worship magic.
Places Of Demonic Worship
It is recommended that a demon, in thread (not during the creation of their profile), create places of demonic worship. This is important because they can build large volumes of energy from their possessive magic and their followers in order to create sanctuary zones for themselves where their magic can become more potent in the way it possesses the world around them.
Additionally, in these areas they can begin investing time to train in them because they will be able to accelerate the growth of their magic by further bonding with this element over time. For instance, The Temple of Khalaism is where Khala and other Khalaist often train if they are looking to increase their connection to Khala, their power or energy because they have a strong sentimental connection to this land as it's where her teachings are taught to them.
Possessive Augment
tl;dr
Possessive Augment is a physical racial skill where demons choose between majoring in body manipluation or the speed of their overall energy. Once they chose their major, then they can still use the minor, but it will be one skill level below their major. (I.E. if a demon choose body manipulation as their major at Advanced, then their Possessive Speed would be adept) And, based on their skill level, these attributes can become more enhanced and powerful.
Possessive Augment: Possessive Augment is one of the key elements that make the physical might of demons rather difficult to deal with. This is because the bodies of most demons are possessing the energy from the world around them passively in varying volumes. They then store this energy within themselves, digest it and convert it into the fuel needed to help them create a physical boost in power. As a result, they can create Possessive Augment which deals with the elements of possessive body manipulation and speed in which their energy movs in their body.
As unlike other races that depend on things like shunpo, Hierro or hakuda; a demon's Possessive Augment houses all of their body manipulation and speed in one skill. And, what makes it different is that they can have some control over all these elements, but they most pick which element of their physical attributes will be their major focus. Thus, depending on their level of skill, they can have varying degrees of control and mastery of these attributes.

- Spoiler:
- How The Major System Works
The Major System: A major is something that your demon is most likely specialized in when it comes to Possessive Augment. Your demon will only be allowed one trait to start off with at beginner, but they will be able to choose more as they advance their skill level with possessive augment. So, this becomes important after advancing beyond Adept level because your character will then be able to choose more of Possessive Augment's skills to add to their body.
Thus, based on your skill level, you must pick 1 majors to advance in. To make things easier to understand, I will illustrate how this works in practice. if you have an Advanced in Possessive Augment and your major is Body Manipulation, then you can access all the perks that come with having an Advanced Level Body Manipulation. Then, whatever other skill you choose as your minor will be one grade level below your major. So, if your major was Body Manipulation, then it can be assumed Possessive Speed would be at an adept level.
Sacrifical Focusing: Now, with that said, if you were to give up portions of your strength from other aspects of your Possessive Augment at higher levels, you could enhance and increase the potency of your Possessive Augment's element. For example: Mana made her durability weaker in order to increase her stamina and Possessive Shifting to make her body more versatile with its shape-shifting changes.
GM Boost: Typically, demons only have the ability to choose one major and one minor. However, Grand Masters can have something that is known as a boost. This Possessive Boost allows for GM's to have temporary boosts in one of their minors. This boost will allow their moderate to be equal to their major for a duration of five posts with a three post cooldown throughout the thread. This is just to further enforce how much of a mastery over possessive augment the demons have. However, some also choose to sacrifice this moderate in order to focus in on making their major element even stronger.
Possessive Shifting
Possessive Shifting: Possessive Shifting deals with a demon's ability to shapeshift their body. In essence, the higher your possessive augment is, the more grandiose these shifts can become. On the lower end of this spectrum, one will often only be able to do minor things such as cosmetic changes (hair color, height adjustment, assuming other identities etc), where on the highest end of the spectrum you have demon's like Mana who are able to perform sub-atomic manipulation of their bodies to create regeneration based abilities and not need a physical form with organs and such.
Therefore, if you decide to major in this, here is what you can expect as you rise through the ranks of Possessive Shifting.
Beginner Possessive Shifting: When a demon only has a beginner in Possessive Shifting, they are often limited to very minor cosmetic changes. These often vary from height changes (upwards of 1 to 10 feet in additional height), weight changes (upwards of 100-200 pounds), hair color changes, facial morphs and things of that nature. Though, even at the beginner level, demons with this skill may still be able to be far more flexible than other demons since their organs, bones, and joints are less constrained than the typical demon. Additionally, they will be able to have slight regeneration of cosmetic damage such as scrapes, bruises or cuts.
Adept Possessive Shifting: After reaching the adept level of Possessive Shifting, Demons often take a much more interesting turn in terms of how they can apply this power. While they still can make cosmetic changes, they can now begin making more major modifications to their body in terms of applying it for defensive and offensive usage in battle. They can now begin to have more substantial regeneration capacities such as reforming open wounds, healing internal bleeding and other similar feats. While, when it comes to body shifting, they can shift their body into different objects. For example, a demon could change their hand into an axe in order to catch an opponent off guard. Though it's harder for adept users to sustain these efforts on the lower end of the tier spectrum, those on the higher end may find it easier to sustain themselves if they are willing to give their energy to it.
Advanced Possessive Shifting: Once a demon is able to reach an Advanced Level of Possessive Shifting, they will then be able to further cultivate their power with their body manipulation. It's at this point that they can begin shifting around organs in their body to try and have opponents miss their vital points, they can regenerate entire limbs more easily and even reform organs with enough time/energy. Additionally, they'll be able to perform more profound changes to their body. An illustration of a body morph at this level would be that users of advanced possessive shifting could temporarily transform themselves into fire for a duration of a post or two, shapeshift their body into stone, generate multiple knives from their fingertips and so on and so forth.
Elite Possessive Shifting: Elite Possessive Shifting is where demons really start to amp up the juice. This is because at this point high-speed regeneration is now often possible for them. So they can quickly reform lost organs (non-vital. Damage to vital organs will occur much slower or be impossible if they are outright destroyed), damage done to their neves can be recovered and they are gaining a better sense of control with their body. Since now they can better control the particles which compromise their body and begin performing feats such as purging toxins from their body by shedding chunks of their body away, growing themselves to massive heights (I.E. a demon at this level can most likely grow themselves to be the size of a skyscraper), replicating themselves with miniature clones and other similar feats on this level.
Master Possessive Shifting: At the master level of Possessive Shifting, things get a lot more intense for demons. They have reached a point where, if their vital organs aren't damaged, they have almost little need for a physical form and will often shift their organs around with them as they shapeshift. This means that they can then begin molding their body into what they desire if they have the energy to sustain it.
For example, a Master at Possessive Shifting could cut off their hand, focus on it and then transform it into an eruption of acid as they regenerate their hand and grow a new one. Or, in another illustration, an opponent can blow a hole in them, but they could potentially keep fighting as if nothing happened if they have the energy to sustain the regeneration.
It should just be noted that after they run out of energy in their body, these regeneration/reshaping abilities will lessen or cease because they require stamina and energy to maintain. Nothing in this world comes without some kind of cost; so they should still be mindful of the direct damage that they take. This isn't a get-out-of-jail-free pass, as opposed to making them extremely troublesome to deal with in combat because it takes a lot of effort to break these demons down.
Grand Master Possessive Shifting: Once you reach the Grand Master Level of possessive shifting, you are more or less a being that has no real need for a physical form. You can control the very particles which compromise your body on a sub-atomic level and your shapeshifting is something to be GREATLY feared. This is because at this point you will often be able to reform yourself back from the brink of destruction, regenerate at rapidly high-speeds, shape yourself into most objects/material you desire and otherwise have nearly full control of every function that comes in your body.
However, it is worth noting that every function that your body has will often take some type of energy to otherwise siphon from your character. For instance: Mana can reform herself after her body is oblierated so long as there is small pieces of her organic matter that exist. However, reforming back from having her body destroyed will cost a noticeable amount of energy to be drained in exchange. Even small things for this tier such as regeneration of limbs will take every and it is recommended that those who possess GM Possessive shifting also take a major in stamina if they actually want to be able to sustain the effort.
Possessive Movement
Possessive Movement: Possessive Movement is the demon's ability to otherwise generate speed. If they specialize in this, then they will often begin to focus on creating techniques, abilities and systems which serve to augment every aspect of their speed. This can range from techniques that allow for sudden burst of movement that enhances their natural speed, the capacity to make their attacks release much faster (I.E. if a demon spell is naturally slow moving, they can use possessive movement to possess the momentum and increase it's speed while it's being created), creating sustained movement of speed and so on and so forth.
In the list below, you will see how Possessive Movement varies from demon to demon.
Beginner Possessive Movement: At this point in a demon's Possessive Movement, beginners in this skill may have a hard time quickly releasing their attacks. This does not account for how fast they can physically move with their natural speed, but rather how quickly they can summon energy, release their attacks and how fast they generally can user energized abilities.
While higher tier demons may be able to use the excess energy they have in stock to try and make up for this, those on the lower end of the spectrum may have a harder time overcoming this.
Additionally, it's worth noting that even for those on the higher end of the tier spectrum on this skill still may find difficulty in keeping up that stamina against someone who naturally doesn't strain themselves as much with a higher Possessive Movement skill.
Adept Possessive Movement: Around the adept level of Possessive Movement is where demons will then be able to speed things up a bit when it comes to their abilities that rely on energy. They will be able to create short burst of shunpo like movement on any part of their body if they are to focus their energy on it. As at this stage their Possessive Movement will most likely double their natural speed. And this also means that they can apply these quick bursts to their attacks as well and begin crafting techniques around their Possessive Movement.
Advanced Possessive Movement: After reaching the level of Advanced Possessive Movement, most demons will be able to further enhance their energies speed. This is because that all of their abilities which rely on this element will be able to triple their natural speed. This means their burst of speed will be even more fearsome to deal with as demons can cover a lot more ground and may have more stamina to sustain the effort on the higher end of the tier spectrum. Furthermore, their abilities can be released much quicker in this state and it tires them out far less than other demons. (Though it does not negate things like cooldowns, physical strain etc. It just makes it less taxing for them to do certain powers/abilities without major sacrifice much quicker.)
Elite Possessive Movement: When a demon is able to attain the level of Elite Possessive Movement, these burst of movement in their speed becomes even more daunting to deal with. They are now able to increase their natural movement by 3.5 times their natural speed. And this also applies to all of their abilities that rely on energy as they will often tire out far less quickly when it comes to spamming attacks than other demons of their caliber.
Master Possessive Movement: At around the master level of Possessive Movement is where demons are nearing the peak of their augmentations when it comes to their speed. Since, with the boost they get at master, they will be able to roughly increase their natural speed by 4.5 times their natural level. This applies to all of their abilities that rely on energy as they will often tire out far less quickly when it comes to spamming attacks than other demons of their caliber.
Grand Master Possessive Movement: Finally, with a Grand Mastery in Possessive Movement, Demon's will often be at their peak movement of speed. Since, with the boost they get at grand master, they will be able to roughly increase their natural speed by 5.5 times their natural level. This applies to all of their abilities that rely on energy as they will often tire out far less quickly when it comes to spamming attacks than other demons of their caliber.

Demon Magic [Possessive Magic: Among demon kind, it is often debated that this is perhaps one of their strongest assets that they possess.

Other Racials

External Augmentation: A demon's magic is at it's strongest when they are in their prime element.

Sacrifices & Worship: Sacrifices are not only tools used to help enhance the magic of a demon for the long-term, but there are also short-term sacrifices as well that can be used to influence a demon's magic potency.
Worship is important to Demonic Magic.

Worship is important to Demonic Magic.
