Won't somebody fight me? [Alexander/Law]
Sat Jan 13, 2018 11:19 pm
Here he was, in another random city. He didn't even remember its name; he had done this so many times that he didn't bother to check where he was going anymore. His new life wasn't feeling as good as he hoped it would. He had been hopping from town to town, city to city, continually searching for someone that could fight against him. Sure, he wasn't that strong, and most opponents who'd be willing to fight could probably wipe the floor with him. But still, he had to start somewhere.
That said, he wasn't stupid. He had been avoiding any area that looked too outlandish. He wanted a fight, not a deathmatch. He needed to live to become stronger, doing so while torn to pieces would be exceedingly more difficult. He supposed he could find an organization to join, but he'd rather not do that. On one side you had some groups that were goody two shoes and wanted to do nothing but self-sacrifice to protect the innocent and shit like that. On the other, you had a bunch of wild psychopaths that would sooner kill you than help you do anything.
No, Alexander wasn't a group person. He preferred to go it alone. After all, his primary goal was to become strong enough to matter in this world, and doing that by anything but his own power would prove nothing. He would get what he wanted, and he would crush whatever tried to stop him, and he would not die trying. Nobody planned to die, after all. Nobody smart anyway. Well, now that he thought about it, he supposed having a friend or two wouldn't hurt, as long as they didn't kill him or get him killed.
Now, what exactly was he here for, one might ask? He was here to do something that he had done already so many times that he lost count. Well, that wasn't saying much, as he tended not to bother counting things that didn't need counting. But he had been doing it for a while now. He would hop to another town or city, usually by hitching a ride on top of a train or something. He would then find a relatively secluded spot in the area, away from too much attention but close enough for what he did next to work, hopefully. This time he found himself in an area of small hills, just a mile or so away from the city.
Alexander concentrated his malefic energy. He didn't focus it anywhere, he just drew forth as much of it as he could. It would seemingly bubble up to cover his skin and clothing, forming a blotchy coating of shifting energy. He would focus on this energy, its wildness, its destructive potential, its will to annihilate all that stand in its path. He would focus hard on these aspects, and he would push them away from himself. He would broadcast his energy to all who may be strong enough to sense it, a, albeit perhaps small, beacon of wild, destructive energy, hoping it would be compelling enough to attract someone's attention.

Law
Artist: YYH OST - Song: Preparation theme - Word Count: 409
Law quickly rushed out of the bar he'd been enjoying a drink in, leaving the lovely ladies whose attention he'd garnered wondering what had just happened. There was a time and a place for flirting. Now was not that time. He could sense the destructive intent radiating outwards, not far from where he currently was. Not that he was some big hero. In fact, he didn't really give a fuck what happened, as long as he wasn't bored by it. Stepping on to the sidewalk he downed the rest of the contents of his glass, then tossed it to the ground. The sound of glass shattering filled his ears, and he could hear a voice yelling at him to come pay his tab. He raised his right hand up, slightly above his head, then extended his middle finger before the bar door swung closed.
He wasn't one to rush, and now that he had a good sense of this energy it wouldn't get away from him easily, so he took his time as he traveled. From what he could tell it wouldn't exactly be a huge challenge, but that was fine by him. He'd been itching for a fight lately, and there was shit else to do in this backwater town. About fifteen minutes later he found himself in a rather hilly area with little else around. He could still see the town over his shoulder, but he'd left it's boundary some time ago. It really was a tiny little shit hole.
A few feet away from him, atop the largest hill around, Law found the source of the energy at last. A human, a teenager by the looks of it, although he couldn't be sure if that was actually true. There was no one else around, hell there was nothing else around at all. Only the hills surrounded them, though in the distance he occasionally saw cars traveling the road.
"Hey, shithead! You lookin' for trouble? Well so am I."
Law wasted no more time, traveling towards the top of the hill with a shunpo, then launching a roundhouse kick towards the strangers head. The kick was nothing to write home about, just a probing blow. He didn't even use the momentum he'd gained by using his shunpo, coming to a full stop directly in front of the stranger before launching it. If the stranger couldn't handle this then there wouldn't be much point in continuing the battle.
