Chasing Ghosts [Sho/???] Ba30c763fc99619bc64ab104ac95249a

How many months was he going to let this go on for? How many more months would he spend wasting away in dive bars drinking away the pain till he finally reached that point to where he would no longer feel the faintest itch of despair that had become his day to day neutral? How many more women would he chase around in a drunken haze only to wake up the next morning thinking that his perfect ten was more of a three honestly as he glanced over at them from the hotel room bed? How many more nights of debauchery? How many more bottles of jack? How many more? To be honest, Sho had none of the answers that he needed, not a single damn answer, and as much as he would love to find some semblance of actual stability to his life he knew for a fact that there was none coming for him. And to be quite honest...he was beginning to get used to the idea of not having any sort of stability. He was in fact loving the feeling of throwing all caution to the wind and actually just letting the current of the world drag him along for the ride like a ship without a sail.

It was exciting to say the least. The thrill of not knowing where you might be the next day or how many shots and/or mugs of beer you could take before even a man with a high constitution like himself had to call it quits. But even that thrill was beginning to dull. The feeling of getting plastered, the women, and the thrill of the unknown were beginning to ware pretty thin for him even though he enjoyed them. It wasn't like they didn't do their job of making him forget what had happened to him or more importantly what had happened to his squad mates, but now it was taking more and more to forget. More women, more booze, more thrills. He was beginning to self-destruct and he knew that, but he knew why things were dulling. Why things weren't having that normal kick like they used to:

Zwei

The name belonged to the being who had murdered his squad, caused him deep psychological trauma, and had left him the lone survivor of a failed mission to keep the peace. Peace. What a funny word. Sho hadn't known peace for quite some time and he wouldn't know peace for even longer as long as that monster Zwei was walking around. Revenge was a dish best served cold and this particular dish had been frozen at this point and Sho just wanted to stuff Zwei's damn face with it. Yet, despite his best efforts to find the little shit, Zwei was missing. A ghost flickering out of existence, disappearing from those that sought to bring him to justice. The last Sho had heard, he was with Monsuta (not that it mattered to the man who wanted to put a gun to his head pull the trigger till there was nothing left, but a splatter of gore and bone splinters). No, what mattered was that he was gone, and with him Sho's last safety net was slowly eroding out from underneath him.

Self-destruction didn't sound bad at this point to Sho though. Maybe he would get to see his squad mates again in the realm of non-existance that awaited him when he finally punched his clock? The thought was beginning to become more and more intriguing, the bottle of pills, and a loaded gun seeming like more and more of a better chance at finally releasing him from his suffering. Yet, the need for revenge kept his will to survive firmly in charge. Every time he got close to doing the deed, the thought of Zwei standing victorious over him, and mocking him for being so weak willed filled his mind and he would stop. He couldn't let the little shit have the last laugh, oh no, he would be a wrinkled bag of flesh decaying from old age before he allowed that mother fucker the satisfaction of seeing him off himself. He would keep on living, drinking, and flirting with anyone with a nice rack until he had seen his mission complete. Once that mission was done then and only then would he decide if his life was actually worth continuing.

It was with in that state of mind that Sho had decided to dress himself up fancily. Putting on a burgundy suit and collecting his severance money from the Vanguard in hopes of enjoying himself at a high class club. He was a man who usually liked the dive bars, they were less costly, and more his style, but that particular evening he wasn't looking to drink himself under the table and hit on every girl who happened to show any interest in his old Vanguard war stories. No, tonight he wanted to relax, and try something new. Maybe a new thrill was what he needed and maybe a change in scenery while he was at it! So, as he entered the club, and took his seat at a table, he would light up a cigarette. It wouldn't take too long for a waiter to find him and before the waiter could even ask what Sho wanted he had his order:

"Bourbon shots and keep them coming...I'm pretty sure it is going to be a long night."

Chasing Ghosts [Sho/???] Empty Re: Chasing Ghosts [Sho/???]

Fri Jan 12, 2018 6:05 am

For the last week, Kirino had been staying in a hotel room, doing her adventuring during the day. She had this time off and was doing her best to take advantage of it, but there was something bothering her. She noticed the calendar and decided it was about time she figured something out for this day. She didn't want to go to the beach because she had just done that. Skiing, hiking, and other activities like that just didn't feel right. All of her friends were back home and she didn't know anyone in this city to help her. She looked through a few brochures and found some high-class spas she could take advantage of, but that just felt dull. It wasn't until she saw one for a club that was recently becoming pretty popular that she decided what to do. Maybe she'd meet someone new there? Well, it had been decided then!

It had been quite a long time since Kirino just went out to have some fun, at least in this way. She was one to have fun all the time, but going to the club? Now, that was a rare occasion! The occasion, of course, came with the day she was born. She was someone who took her birthday to herself, unless she chose to invite someone and that didn't happen often. Her birthday was her day. It was her time to explore, experiment, and have fun without any reprisal.

Kirino took a bit more time getting ready today. She used a Soul Shell for tonight. After a long hot shower, she moisturized well, put on some light make-up, did her hair, and slid on a deep blue dress with some nice heels to bring it all together. She called for a cab when she was ready and was off the moment he pulled up to her hotel. She happily made a little conversation with her driver, who seemed to enjoy taking a few extra looks. She didn't mind it much.

After about ten minutes, she arrived at one of the fanciest clubs in the city. She got out of the car and looked up at the place with excitement. She hurried inside, right behind a good lookin'n guy with white hair. "Nice style you've got goin' on up there." she complimented his hair, smiling and winking at him if he decided to turn back to her before he went to sit. She took the moment to look around and saw a table just a little passed the man she had spoken to. She hurried along, but then stopped at his table. "Hey, you interested in company for tonight? I mean, you might be waiting for someone or not wanting company, but if neither of those are the case, I have no problem having a couple of drinks with you. If you want, of course."

SHO FUYA

Chasing Ghosts [Sho/???] 6EdIfMt

Sho, who had came for a nice night of drinking, partying, and all out debauchery had not expected a compliment as soon as he had walked in the door. Especially from a clear ten who had not ingested copious of alcohol at that. "You're looking pretty fine yourself.", Sho said not skipping a beat and only turning his head slightly to take a good look at the source of the pleasant voice filling his ears. She gave him a wink and a smile, the double play of a girl that was interested in having a good time with the right guy, and tonight? Well tonight, Sho was probably the luckiest guy in the club. He knew this because a few of the other guys stopped to gawk at her as she walked on by them, which was understandable because girls like this didn't just grow on trees, and they sure as hell didn't just approach just anyone. So, he would take his seat, and order his drinks, reminding himself that he would have to go look for that girl, and get cozy with her in a bit.

At least he thought he would have to go looking for her, but low and behold she had decided to take the initiative and approach him once more. He did like a lady who took the first step, it showed courage, and to a former soldier like himself courage was an admirable quality for company. In fact it had been a while since he had actually had a conversation with a lady without being shitfaced or vice versa. So, to him this was quite the pleasant change. "You're wasting no time, eh? So you want to relax, have a few drinks, and maybe dance a bit I'm taking it? Well, I'm just gonna let you know now... I'm a horrible dancer. My old squad mates always complained when I stepped on their toes, but you can't blame me for being born with two left feet, am I right?", he said casually as he stood up from his table as the waiter arrived with the first shot of what would be many.

"Sure, I will keep you company. I would be an idiot to decline an offer from someone who has good fashion sense and knows what she wants. So what are you having? Drinks are on me this evening.", he spoke smoothly and calmly, after all even sober he was a professional lady's man. At least that is how he thought of himself. Though most people would call him an opportunist and realists would probably call him a manipulator, in reality in the presence of beautiful women, he was putty. Taking the shape of whatever they needed him to be: a friend, an ally, and in some cases a lover. Tonight, Sho would play it by ear, and allow the young lady to dictate how the evening went. If she was merely looking for a guy to talk to, then he could do that for her, and wouldn't mind it too much. If she was looking for more? Well Sho wasn't going to say no to that, was he?

"The name is Sho Fuya and what is your name, gorgeous?", he asked as he gave her a look over as only a man who could appreciate just how amazing a lady she was could before downing the shot in a single gulp.

There was nothing wrong with running straight into a handsome lookin' man the moment you entered the club. If anything, it was a sign of damn good luck. The fact that they went the same way only confirmed that he was one that she wanted to give her attention to tonight. Kirino wasn't the type to waste time. She knew what she want and went for it. There was a change she'd end up embarrassed if he rejected her, but she was willing to take that chance.

"No, I definitely can't blame you for that... I see no reason to waste time on silliness, like social queues and expectations. If I see something, or someone that catches my eye, I'm not going to keep it to myself. How pointless... And I don't need to dance. I also can't say I'm the most coordinated person around; I'd end up messin' up someone's shoes. Haha."

As the waiter arrived, he accepted her invite and even decided to pay for her drinks tonight. Kirino raised an eyebrow, impressed at the man's risky offer. Kirno may not be the heaviest drinker, but she was no lightweight. It was a good thing she liked the simple strawberry daiquiri. Before the waiter stepped off, she made an order for one They always came in large glasses that didn't fit in both of Kirino's hands, but who cares! It was her favorite.

"Kirino... Kirino Asashima. It's nice to meet you, Sho. I'm glad I ran into such a generous man. I didn't think I would to be honest. Hahaha. It's my birthday and I don't have anyone to celebrate with, so I came here hoping to meet someone... You stood out nicely among the crowd and... well, I felt kind of drawn to you, so... Thank you... I really do appreciate it."

Kirino took a seat across from where Sho had been seating and motioned for him to sit down as well. She held an excited smile on her face, took a look around the club to take in the sights. It was a nice place to just sit back and party your ass off. The music was fun, the lights were mesmerizing. It really made her want to get up and dance, but... drinks first.

"So what brings you out tonight, Sho? Tell me it's your birthday too! That'd be so neat!"

SHO FUYA

"Nothing quite like a lady who knows what she wants and who she wants to spend her time with.", Sho said as he folded his arms around his chest after casually putting the shot glass down on the waiters plate. The waiter nodded, knowing all too well that he wanted more shots, and knowing all too well that now that Sho was tabbing the bill for the both of them that he would be busy for most of the night. Hopefully they would tip well. "So we are both horrible dancers! That saves some time!", Sho exclaimed with a laugh as he listened to the young lady order her favorite drink. While not a fan of the fruit flavored daiquiris, he was at least happy that she wasn't ordering some small drink, and actually choosing to enjoy herself. She seemed, at least to him, to be a pleasure to be around, and somebody who would be a riot to hang out with. Guess it really was his lucky day!

"A beautiful name for a beautiful lady.", Sho said as he complimented both her name and her in a casual tone with an edge of charm. Sho may have been a broken guy deep down inside, but he wouldn't allow that to drag down his charm, or effect his personality. He would keep that side of him roped off for the time being, as if he started going off on about his past life he doubted that she would stick around for long. Such was the nature of his depression, he desperately wished for attention, but knew that if people got too close they would see him for what he really was, and leave him. It is why he had taken to one night stands so willingly, sure it would be nice to have a lasting relationship, but how could he when he was too afraid to show anyone just how damaged he was? "Its a guy's job to pay for the drinks, as misogynistic as that sounds. What sort of guy would I be if I just let you pay for your own drinks on your birthday. That wouldn't be right.", he said with complete honesty.

When was the last time he had celebrated a birthday? He couldn't quite remember the exact date. Everything was clouded by a thin veil of drunken haze. When she finally offered him a seat, he snapped out of the train of thought that he had, and took a seat not across from her, but right next to her. After all if they were going to enjoy each other's company then they might as well be close, right? "I'm not here celebrating or anything like that. I just came here to have a drink and calm my nerves, but now I will be drinking to celebrate this chance meeting.", he said as the waiter arrived with another couple of shots for Sho and a large cup, complete with umbrellas, containing the daiquiri that Kirino had wanted. "Lets have a good time and celebrate your birthday together.", Sho said as he went to down another shot of bourbon as he noted her looking at all the lights and her seemingly enjoying the music.

"Is this your first time at a place like this? If it is...well it would be a real shame if you didn't get the full experience, eh? Maybe I can afford to dance this once, I will pay for the medical bills if you buy me a new pair of shoes after.", Sho said with a slight chuckle as he downed the second shot like it was nothing. He was an experienced drinker and wasn't even close to his limit, in fact he wasn't even buzzed.

Chasing Ghosts [Sho/???] Empty Re: Chasing Ghosts [Sho/???]

There were moments there that Kirino saw something in his eyes and that pinged something at the back of her mind. It wasn't a short couple of moments either, but something long lasting and deep seeded was buried deep within him and it raised her interest. She wanted to figure out what that was. What exactly was a man like Sho hiding? She had a plethora of ideas go through her head. He was a crime boss that owned this club and was dealing drugs in the back! Or he was a rogue warrior from somewhere and was hiding out! Or he was one of the top assassins in the world and was here to claim his mark. More possibilities of lost love, broken dreams, undercover missions, and even the simplicity of a Father needing a break from home came to her mind. It was going to be fun to figure out which one of her theories was correct.

"Misogynistic? Ah... Yeah. A lot of the traditions and beliefs of male and female standards were lost somewhere between the twenty-first and twenty-second centuries... I wouldn't consider it misogynistic, but polite, kind... generous even. Misogynistic is not it. I grew up with the dying breed of men who struggled knowing what was right and wrong when interacting with a woman. The overbearing feminist ideals that popped up in those centuries ruined a lot of beautiful things. Of course, I'm not talking about the original feminist ideas of the twentieth centuries and before... Th-... I'm talking way too much. I'm sorry! I do that sometimes; I have this habit of going on and on when... Well, never mind all that stuff. The point of all of that was to say thank you for being kind to me. I do appreciate it."

When he took his seat, Kirino was surprised for two reasons. One, he took a seat with her after all of that crap she spewed about feminism. And two, he took a seat right next to her instead of across from her. She had no problem with it, but her first reaction was a bit of confusion before it turned into a soft smile. She relax and lightly nudged him as the waiter showed up. Excited for her bright red drink, she clapped her hands a little childishly and reached out for the large glass before the waiter could set it down in front of her. Instead, it entered her hands and she sat it down, while taking a nicely long icy drink from the straw. She took a few moments to enjoy her first drink, eyes closed for the duration, and let out a calm deep breath.

"Mmmm... I love these things." she said, having almost missed his question and offer, "Oh, uh... Yeah, it's my first time in this type of club. The ones I usually go to are those... jazz clubs where all the men are wearing suits like yours, dresses like mine, but are ballroom dancing along the floor instead of that..." Kirino looked around Sho toward the dance floor, watching all the people moving in a way she was not used to. "So don't worry about it. I wouldn't know how to dance like that even if I had a left and right foot... Instead, at least for now, why don't you tell me about yourself. For every story you tell me, I'll tell you one about myself to keep it even. Once we get drunk enough, then maybe we can make fools of ourselves out there."

SHO FUYA

She kept glancing at him, as if trying to read him on some deeper level, and that concerned him quite a bit because if she dug too deep she might just see his terrible secret. He was fond of her a bit, as she had chosen to spend time with him, and hadn't even required even an ounce of alcohol to make that decision. By default that made her leaps and bounds more impressive than the vast majority of the women he usually met within these sort of places. Which in itself was a blessing because as much fun as he had with the drunken degenerates, he was much more fond of having a conversation with a beautiful girl with an actual head on her shoulders. It seemed to be rare, at least to him it seemed rare, but then again it was probably because he just didn't go to the right spots to pick up a girl like this, and instead had settled for low end dive bars.

That is when she began to speak about some of the social standards that had been in place when she was alive and he found himself listening. Not checking her out, not grinning, and half paying attention to the words she had said while wondering what she looked like naked. Not that he wasn't wondering that, he was a man after all, but he found himself riveted by her speech as she babbled on wildly before she finally realized she had been going on for far too long about this. "While you may be right that the cultural shift for that particular generation may have ruined a lot of beautiful things it was still a necessary step to bridging the gap to finally getting this level of equality. That's not to say they were right or wrong...still it did throw society for a loop for a while as most social movements do before they finally right themselves and everyone adjusts. Still there were good things that came out of it too.", he spoke with ease, just being like the old him, and not the broken down man that he was now. It seemed easier to be that way with her, so much easier to just be the old him, and not the new him.

As she took the drink from the waiter, he casually brought his arm to be around the headrest above her, before sliding down until his arm was just inches away from making physical contact around her body. But that is when she surprised him by nudging into him, she had taken the initiative, and he without hesitation brought his arm down till it rested around her shoulders. The warmth of her body next to his bringing thoughts to his mind that weren't too gentlemen like. "Alright, no dancing for now...we can make fools of ourselves later. Also, don't be afraid to speak your mind on a subject. Its nice talking someone who actually has a head on their shoulders for a change.", Sho said as he tried his best to think of just how much he wanted to tell her. A part of him wanted to tell her everything. To just let all of the story come flooding out so that it would be out in the open, but the other part of him was worried about how she would react to hearing just what sort of man he was. How would she react knowing he had been hunting the monster who killed all his friends, his family, his squad mates obsessively for so many years only to turn up nothing? How would she react to him admitting that the real reason he was at the bar was to drink his pain away and keep his mind from going to a dark place?

It was the fear of being labeled by somebody he found to be attractive, smart, and interested in him that drove him to almost consider not telling her, but she needed to know. She was too nice of a person to drag her through all of this without being honest if it was going to be more than just a one night fling. "Well, you want to know about me? Its kind of boring, but I'm willing to spill the beans, especially with an incentive of getting to know you better.", Sho said with absolute honesty as stroked his chin with his other hand while his arm was draped around her. "I am Sho Fuya, as you already know, and I was born into a rich family of engineers and scientists who specialized in theoretical energy applications. I, believe it or not, was a scientist before becoming a shinigami. I am an expert in theoretical energies and their many applications and helped design the prototypes for defending cities from Hollow and Arrancar attacks. The reason I'm not known too well is because the guy...Appling took all my clout and recognition and then the Yuudeshi family one upped me.", Sho said with a wink and a nod of his head. He looked at her patiently, wondering just what story she would tell him about herself.

He found himself quite curious about her origins.

That was among the most pleasant of surprises that she had gotten in a while. He responded in kind, with logical and well-thought out views on what she was just rambling on about. He wasn't confused or put-off. He listened intently and even made her feel less silly by partaking in the conversation over shoving it off like it was boring and unnecessary. As he replied to her ramble, Kirino found herself dumbstruck in awe of him. She stared. She wasn't just watching or looking, but fully on staring at him, like she couldn't believe what was happening. Her slightly dropped jaw slowly closed and a smile grew on her lips as he continued. And in that moment, Kirino became rather enamored with him. He was a handsome man, charming, generous, and now intelligent. It only made her more curious as to why such a guy was here alone.

Kirino came out of her daze when the waiter arrived and took her nice long drink. It was as delicious as she expected, maybe even better since the company was so enjoyable. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw his moves and couldn't help but take the initiative there. She leaned into him a bit, allowing their bodies to get closer and share their warmth. The next words he said only excited her more. She cheerfully wiggled around next to him and nodded with matching vigor. "I know! I was so surprised when you didn't look at me like I was some sort of alien or something! You actually replied, and with more than just some pathetic attempt to change the subject." She was obviously excited to hear more from him, so asking about him was her next course of action. It turned into a slightly worrying one though. There was something about that question that seemed to bother him. He was likely just a secretive guy, but something in the back of Kirino's mind itched with concern for him. Her curiosity wouldn't let that go away. Kirino wanted to know about him, even if it wasn't the best of news for either of them.

"I see. You've got a pretty strong background then. Me? I'm Kirino Asashima, as you know, and I was born in the Soul Society. Not everyone recognizes the name out here, but in the Serieitei, I'm along side the Shihoin and Kuchiki in noble status." Kirino explained like it was nothing and took a big drink of her daiquiri, chewing on a tiny bit of ice that came through the straw before talking again, "I became the Head of my family about sixty years ago when Father and Mother died in battle. I was never told exactly how that happened, which leads me to believe there is something being covered up, but I am not sure I care very much... Father was uncaring and Mother was abusive. No need to care about someone who cares nothing about you. Now, next story!"

She seemed excited that he had not just shrugged off her babbling as a sign of insanity, something he found kind of odd, but her leaning into him to share his warmth had him thinking other thoughts at the moment. He was far too enamored with the young lady to even care that she might reject him at this point. She was far too beautiful, far too smart, and far too eccentric for a guy like him to be worried about how she would take what he had to say. She would judge him, as most of the sensible ladies would, but he doubted a lady who was as educated as her would hate him for being driven by a need to get revenge against his squad's murderer. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder, much like a man holding the most precious thing in the world to him would do, and kept her as close to him as he possibly could. He did wonder what her reaction would be when she learned the truth, but she would have to learn the truth about him if she was going to be something more to him than a casual meeting in a club.

"I'm really surprised you are as smart as you are, most of the intelligent women tend to have found someone for themselves, and tend to avoid me. They think I'm some kind of player and for all accounts...sometimes I am, but really...I'm just lonely. I've had so many horrible things happen in my life that...well...its hard to find someone to just talk to or be around who can take your crap. Who can understand what you are going through, you know? So I turn to the drink...", Sho uttered as he held up another shot of bourbon and downed it. "The clubs...the bars...the women... all of it is just good enough to take the edge off, to dull the knife of what I've gone through just enough to avoid killing myself with it.", Sho finished as he looked at her to see her reaction to what he had just said. He probably had came off as a bit sad, but that is because it was sad. He had lost so many people close to him and no matter the beer, no matter the girl, and no matter the setting the pain just didn't go away. That emptiness he felt from losing all those things wasn't going to be easily filled, but looking at the girl he was holding in his arms...well maybe there was a chance he could at least be semi-normal again.

Not that he was ever truly normal to begin with.

"Alright, you want to know more? Okay... it surprises me you're a noble because after I became a plus it didn't take long for me to be brought to the Rukongai. I spent some time there before joining the academy where I excelled at Kido, but was never really able to do more than that. I took leave from the academy to hone my physical skills so that I could return and become a full fledged shinigami and after twenty or so years of that? I was able to do it. I signed up with the fifth division and operated within the confines of the kido corp for a while before I decided to leave. They never really liked me there anyway, I was a thorn in my captain's side. He always reminded me that though I had the skills, I was a little too rambunctious for his tastes. Authority and I have never got along... I tend to like to do things my way or no way at all.", he said as he downed the last shot he had been given, still not even close to feeling a buzz, but none the less feeling like he didn't need the drinks to feel better. Just as long as she was by his side, he felt strong. Just like the good old days.

"So, Lady Asashima...", Sho said teasingly with a smile on his face. "What brings you down to the world of the living? Shouldn't you be locked up in some royal palace with royal suitors pledging their undying love for you and hoping to win your hand?", Sho said with a chuckle, all in good fun of course. "Just what would the other noble houses think if they saw you here with a guy like me?", he said before leaning in to whisper in her ear: "They would probably be jealous, am I right?"

"Surprised?" that was just a momentary interruption to question his wording. He continued and she quickly understood, mouthing an "Ah" and nodding along with his explanation. She chuckled some once he finished. "Sorry. When you said surprised, I thought you were surprised I could be smart because I was a woman, which... is laughable in this day. Haha, but no. You're just surprised I'm smart and single. That's more understandable, but ah, um... Player or not, I don't entirely care, to be honest. I, well... I'm not a player of any sorts. I don't have that kind of confidence and I seem to make people want to flee." Kirino began talking with her hands as she became more relaxed with him. It wasn't obnoxious or distracting, but a few waves of her hands, twists of her wrists, or a wiggle of her fingers to go along with her personality. "Don't be so hard on yourself, darlin'. Drink only numbs it, doesn't cure it. Might wanna figure out how to push passed it, even if you gotta cut off a head to do it."

It was time for the next story and instead Kirino got a summary of his life story. It counted! She thought back to whether she'd remember his name at all. She didn't exactly climb the ranks of the fifth and might not even been there during the time he was, but she couldn't recall the name Sho Fuya from anywhere. Knowing her, she was too focused on her own shit to pay attention anyway. Before she got the right chance to talk about it, he came back at her with a question. "Ha. No, not me. I mean, they've tried to get me to settle down with some twat every now and then, but they're all borin' bastards with little more than an empty head on their shoulders. I'm not interested in dealing with a brain dead noble. There's a reason my house is often known as the most lenient, unlike the damn Kuchiki. Not tryin' to have their type of reputation."

"You're right there, though. They'd be jealous, pissed even. I'd throw my drink in their face or send them flyin' through a wall dependin' on my mood. Hahaha. I don't know which would suffice for the particular moment. Maybe watch you become my rescuer and destroy any wannabe who steps to me." Kirino winked playfully at him and went at her drink yet again. She practically inhaled the thing since it was almost gone. "This is damn good. I prefer the fruity drink, less of a burn goin' down the pipe, but all of the effect." Kirino looked around for a moment and then over to the dance floor. There was a brief moment she thought to offer even though they both admitted to sucking. She was just avoiding telling more stories at the time. She found there was no reason for that and just admitted her avoidance anyway. "I'm sorry about that. I don't exactly have many stories to tell. I know it's my turn and I hate small talk, but besides stuff that I actually can't speak about for reasons you can at least guess, I don't know what else to say. Why don't you and I try to do something instead? Would you like to head somewhere and participate and some sort of activity that does not require rhythm?"
