Zane Fenier

Wandering close to Karakura, was not something that Zane was particularly fond of doing, but from what he has heard, as long as he wasn't the one looking to start trouble the bounds of Karakura Forest should provide him with the safety to be close, but also secure. After all, it not often that one gets to be close to the capital of the human world, when some of it's protectors could consider Zane Fenier, to be one of their mortal enemies. So with nothing constraining him to do otherwise, he delve into the dense areas of the woods, seeking a bit of exploration, perhaps he could come to enjoy the area, the nature of Earth was one that he learned about in the Kokuryuteshi Realm, and he has yet to really be in this world longer than a few days at best, but this was where mankind truly came from.

Wandering so aimlessly, he was certain that he has probably gone down some of the trails quite far, but the floral, and the wildlife that he could spot intrigued him to go further along. To a point though he would rest on the trail, he wasn't to sure of the area as he rested, but if he were to close he eyes, he felt at peace as the energy of chi flowed much more peaceful and fluidly through the area, something that he could not find so easily in his home realm, yet here he was an Awakened Human, not even from the planet. It was only a minute or two that he was taking drinks of water from his bag, before would continue with his little hike. It was at a certain point though, that Zane found himself, something that he didn't expect to see as he reach the end of a trail.

It was something akin to a cabin, a home to say there very least, he wasn't aware that there were still people that would live out in these woods, after all it could very easily be considered a dangerous place for the normal humans of this planet. The sun shined up above the Cabin roof marking that the day was starting to grow closer to it's end, rather than the start, even with the way Zane was it's blinded his eyes a bit, making him have to raise his hand, but he would slowly make his slow approach to the cabin, wondering if it was truly inhabited, or was it merely a relic of the past. For anyone that might observe him, he was a young man, that currently wore none of the insignia of the Kokuryuteshi realm, but wore something that was similar to a track suit, covered in various shades of red and black, for those that weren't aware, these were the colors that represented that realm. He was not one that had the appearance to scare people off, so hopefully he could try to get along with the denizens of this forest.

At the end of his trail was the small cabin lived in by a young woman named Irene Luxaria. It was a small home, made of stone and wood, tucked into a clearing. The cabin was well tended. Vines were trimmed, a flowerbed well-mended, and a garden out back if one were to take a look. There were cream colored curtains hanging closed over the two windows out front. A small white fence surrounded the property, but was obviously there for decoration as it was to short to keep anyone out. A cobblestone path led up to the front door, many different flowers lining the path and scattered throughout the yard. It was a quaint little home and it suit its purpose well for the one who lived there.

There was no need to walk up to the door because no one was home. Instead, a few quick noises sounded from off the path through some trees and brush that hid things behind it. A moment later, a vibrantly colored butterfly flew into view of the newcomer and then a green haired girl popped through the brush after it. She giggled happily, chasing down the agile little insect and not noticing the one standing at her home. She reached out toward the butterfly, almost able to catch it in the jar she was holding. Sadly, her dream to catch the butterfly came to an end when her sandal caught itself on a rock and she fell forward a few feet from her audience. The jar left her hand and shattered along the stone, causing the blue eyed girl to look sadly on the scene.

The poor girl whimpered, almost looked like she was ready to cry, but something caught her eye. She pushed herself up from the ground and looked up to see the one that was standing there. She stared at him for a while, silent and as still as a statue. Her bright blue eyes showed nothing more than curiosity. There was no fear or concern in them at all. After a few moments of silence, she raised her hand and waved at him. "Hi." she spoke in a melodic tone, one that could carry beautifully along a calm spring breeze, "Are you lost? A lot of people get lost in the forest and that's how they find me here."

Zane Fenier

It was most certainly a landscape, that Zane never thought that he would actually see with his own two eyes, more and more he wondering within his own mind, what truly made this feel so different from the land that he grew up in, after all, the Fenier family possessed it's own gardens and wildlife creations, but it never felt like it was here. It wasn't too long til he had to spiral back out of his mind, as he lost track of a presence that was so close to him, it was a minor surprise to him, watching a particularly colorful butterfly cross his path, but the much more bigger surprise was the being that emerged from the woods. To his surprise it was a girl that appeared to be a bit younger than him in fact, she intrigued him, and he felt a little lost for words.

This time, he wished that he had not been tongue-tied, as he watched her stumble and slip to the ground, it was an unfortunate result, the butterfly was slipping away, was it right of him to catch it for her, after all it was not difficult, but showing his power to innocents has often frightened them, he would not want that at all here. At the very least, he could approach her, and make sure that she was okay, after what has occurred, there was also a lot of glass that was now scattered across the trail and path that he was along. As he wanted to move along and approach her, she rose up and took notice of him, it quite an odd sensation as she looked at him so quietly. It was a little bit longer of a wait til Zane would get a response from her, during that time he had to take a moment to collect himself, and he would try some of the techniques that calmed himself as he breathed deeply, her presence oddly, settled and unsettled him. Was he usually this way? But he quickly dismissed the thought.

After hearing what she had to say, as a greeting to him, he began to understand that the cabin that he has stumbled upon. "Ah, this is your home? It's quite nicely made." He would respond with first. Following that he would simply state with a modest smile, "I'm not truly lost, merely exploring this forest, I've heard there is a lot of wonderful things to find with in." He would take it upon himself to slowly approach the girl, and extend his hand out to her as if offering a handshake as a greeting. "Are you okay though? That butterfly possessed, quite some trickery." If she needed any help he could try to offer it, he wasn't a great healer of the chi arts but he knew some skills, if her ankle was sprained or otherwise.

Merely being in Irene's presence allowed everyone a sense of warmth and safety. It was like being around the people you loved and trusted most in the world or like being in a warm bath, knowing you wouldn't be disturbed. Some people could have their entire moods change from enraged to calm and content. Those who knew about it called it a shield of sorts; it was a way of keeping people from immediately wanting to harm someone as kind and innocent as Irene. In many cases, it was helpful. In some cases, people became offended by their emotions being altered. It wasn't something she could control, nor was she fully aware of its power. She enjoyed having it. To her, it meant that being around her made people happy and that was important.

"Thank you! I like it a lot too." Irene said with pride. This was her home. There weren't many like it, and this one was hers! "You're exploring? Well, you have to be super careful. There are lots of scary things out there as well!" she got to her feet and pointed out to the forest to give her warning, "There are big animals and some scary people show up sometimes too. It's why I stay at home a lot! I can hide in there." Irene looked down at her clothing when asked about her condition. She lifted the bottom of her dress above her knees. She had scraped them a little, but not much. She looked at her hands and noticed they were a little dirty, but mostly okay. "I'm okay, but gotta clean up."

Irene walked around the glass instead of stepping on it. She didn't have shoes on, which was silly, but something she often did. She made her way toward the house, passed it, and into a small shed that had a few tools inside. One of them was a broom. She hurried on back and began sweeping the glass off the dirt trail. "Lots of people take this to get to me. I don't want anyone cutting themselves on it. That'd be bad." she explained. It was likely a weird sight to watch someone sweep dirt, but it needed to be done! "I am sad though; that was my last butterfly jar. I broke the other ones too. I can't catch one. I never get to really look at the colors cause they always fly away..."

Zane Fenier

The person before, was very kind, was one that was crossing his mind, as the girl before him, was taking the time out to give him a warning about the scarier thing that he could come across in this forest, however, he did ponder what on the planet Earth did actually cause him to be afraid, but to this same regard, there was quite a few dangerous things that he has come across. It caught his attention though that she was still live out here, despite that fact, but it truly was a very unique experience, it must be a very nice one for her to want to be a part of it each day.Maybe if he tried hard enough that he could this the kind of place that he could try to make himself, that sounded quite fun in his mind. Were these things that he hasn't gotten to experience serving in the battles that scatter across this world, but Zane has been fighting to protect and make the dream's of his realm, a reality.

"Sounds like it's quite dangerous for you to be out here, the way you describe it, but you must have some tips, living out here?" He would simply ask, and relax himself, eventually, she would mention that she needed to clean up and he would move over off the path a bit towards a sturdy tree and lean against it. He closed his eyes once more, all across him, he could feel the gentle breeze of the wind blow across him, the way he stood made his left side, face the brightly lit sun, he didn't need to learn the same issue twice as he took his water out once more, taking a sip from it, as he could take notice to the girl approaching the area once more. Each time she was approaching he started to take more and more exception to her presence, as it made a signature that he could for some reason recognize uniquely.

Peering with one eye, he observed as she was sweeping the broken glass in the dirt off the trail that he had once been using. She also took this time to explain to him that she had not been able to capture a butterfly, and that was her last jar for the time being, it made him, feel like extending a helping hand, in figuring out, how he could help her catch one perhaps, it wasn't a difficult task for him, thanks to his abilities, it caused him to bite his lip, for a second, before he would speak up again. "I could perhaps help you capture one if you would like..., I might not look it quite, but I am a spiritual energy user." This was merely a chance he was taking, it was unlikely that she would identify him, so if he could help, he would very much like to help.

"Sorry, that I haven't quite introduced myself, my name is Zane, thank you for your warning." Zane would finish with taking care to try and not have to press on his family name, all the while merely trying to introduce himself to her. He would rise up from side of the tree and open his other eye, as he offered his hand simply for a handshake, that was the universal greeting on Earth, he believed.

Deep in the Woods (Serenity) Empty Re: Deep in the Woods (Serenity)

For many, living out in this forest would have been a death sentence. If Irene hadn't been extremely lucky, she likely would have been dead. For one, she had a friend who lived close by that not many messed with. For two, she had this aura about her. The energy that she naturally emitted at all times was angelically pure. Her power allowed her to destroy darkness and purify evil. It wasn't just in a physical manner though. The reason most people left her alone was because when they crossed a certain threshold, entering within one hundred feet of her, like Zane was now, they'd have their mindsets altered. Feelings of peace, warmth, trust, safety, and security would drown out the negative emotions a person could be feeling. It made people not want to harm her, seeing her only as innocent and kind. Rarely did people ignore their feelings, not always aware of her ability to alter them. And it is because of this power that Irene lives a mostly peaceful life here in Karakura Forest.

"My advice for living here is to be super strong or to be really nice and fun. Or hide. Hiding is sometimes the best. If I can't hide, I run to where I know it's safe and nobody can get me. Sometimes I'm too slow, so I scream really loud and then I'll be safe again. Rad won't let me die. He's my best friend."

His offer to help her was met with surprise and excitement. She had finished sweeping, so she dropped the broom into her yard and shuffled her feet, clapping like an excited child. She stopped when he spoke about him being a spiritual user. At first, it was like she didn't understand what he meant, but then she lightly knocked herself on the head. She could be a little slow sometimes. She was just so excited about finally catching one of those butterflies that what she knew as common these days escaped her mind.

"Do you mean it? You'll catch it for me? Do you have a jar?"

Zane! That was his name. Had she not asked before? Rude of her! She glanced at his hand and smiled to him. Her arms flew outwards and she quickly moved in for a hug. She didn't want a silly handshake! He was her friend now because he was being nice and helping her. She knew that she couldn't do it herself. And luckily for them both, Irene wasn't one to remember the names of super important people. She only remembered the names of those she called her friend. She'd remember "Zane" now, but his family meant little to her.

"My name is Irene. It's really nice to meet you, Zane! So... If you don't have a jar with holds in the lid, how are you gonna help me catch a butterfly? "

Irene caught his attention in many way, he observed as she described the advice that she had as one that lived in the forest currently. He pondered thinking that he should of known the rumors of this forest, but his mind came on a blank, as to who this Rad, that she mentioned was. Moving on though, Zane was quite pleased to see that he made he so joyful and happy with his offer to help her, it made him not regret his choices, nearly as he initially was. To him, this was a very different experience, many of his friends were those that shared the same ambitions as him, that wanted to change the world. It was a small time after these thoughts pasted that she asked if he actually would catch one for her. Keeping more quite happy, and full of excitement, Zane responded. " I most certainly will if we can another one of them."

Unexpected, that was the best word to describe how he felt, when he went along with introducing him as he offered a handshake, it seemed that Irene was not interested in a handshake, or perhaps he got the customs wrongs, for he found himself wrapped in a hug. She also took this time to mention that her name was Irene, and was trying to inquiry on how he might catch said butterfly without a jar to utilize. In his mind, he raced finding all the answers that he wanted, it felt like he had to go along with the emotions that were within him, if he was going to act properly, he felt so... happy. In some regards he also felt slightly embarrassed, to find himself in what should be such an unusual position, but instead of being stressed over it, he was relaxed, so he took the moment to return he hug, so they were both locked in it.

"My abilities are quite defensive, but they do have very creative uses as well. I'm a shield, meant to protect." He explained as he made his spiritual abilities seep out just a little, he didn't want anything to take too much notice, so he would try to relay on near the bottom limits of his power. It would feel like an instant probably to Irene, but the Chi energy in the area began to bend to Zane's will, and from the area, she would see these strange near-transparent squares appear all around them, they all had a crystal blue tint to them. "They can also act as a Barrier of course..." He would continue with as the started to form a dome around them, the ones that were already formed moving and shifting to fit into place. It was sometimes an interesting feeling to see the world though these shields, to know that most things outside of them, could not bring you harm.

Often, he didn't make this Dome out of Fear, a fear that he has in a different regard, but it was being kept a bay, even as he stood within it, having been in a hug on top of it, Zane wouldn't let Irene know if he could help it like this, he had Claustrophobia, the dreaded fear of tight spaces. So rather than pressing his luck, it would be after only a little while before he would have the shields disperse for now, after all they wouldn't really be needed til they were on the butterfly hunt. "... so what do you think?" He would finish with and step away from her, not sure if he let the hug go on for too long. Being around Irene, in his mind, was slowly becoming more and more acceptable in his mind, than it already was.

With help, Irene was certain that she was going to finally catch a butterfly! It had to be one of those colorful big-winged ones too! Because of her excitement, the hug was warranted! When he explained his abilities, Irene couldn't help but stare confused at him, but copied him a moment later when she got it, or at least when she thought she understood what he meant.

"I make things better, so I'm a band-aid."

As she said that though, things were happening around her. She released the embrace, giving Zane some room to breathe, and looked around in awe at what he could do! She always liked seeing what other people could do and this ability was better than people who just got stronger. She liked visual powers since a lot of them were pretty. The dorm they began to form only piqued a curiosity in Irene's mind. She couldn't help but reach out and touch it! She pat her hand against it and smiled widely at Zane, obviously impressed. Once the shield went away, Irene clapped her hands and gave him a big thumbs up!

"I like your power. You can catch one with this?"

It was another moment, passing, as Zane heard her use the same phrasing as him, so he could know that she was a healer, or at the very least knew of the healing arts and how to use them. It started to make sense with those kinds of abilities, that she would find herself out here. The Various healers of the world all do, have their own gifts and ways of helping the world, recalling the ways of his comrade, Yako's Shadow Stitching. It would only be another few moments til Irene asked him to confirm that he could indeed capture a butterfly with his powers. After he recovered his mind from his inner thoughts, he smiled still as he raised his hand up and a shield form over it, coming into reality.

"It would work a bit like this." He explained as the shield, would begin to bend upward, twisting it's shape to encase the space that he could grab with his hand til it formed a sphere. and Zane could grab it into his hand, and could present it to Irene, shaping it like this was enough to keep something like a butterfly contained, and he could certainly form this quickly enough to entrap one, but he would need to know where the butterflies garden is, or til one decides to wander away to this direction. "If you could lead the way through the woods, we can explore, til we find one, like before." He would explain, he would be ready to depart, whenever she is ready, after all, she probably knew this place as well as the back of her hand.

Looking around for just a little bit at the area, he wondered if she made this trail and cabin on her own, or if she had people that assisted her. Zane would perhaps, inquiry on it, in the future, as he thought to himself, awaiting in the few moments that Irene would give a response to what he suggested.

Irene was ecstatic! She was finally going to be able to catch one of those agile little things. Well, she couldn't catch one, but Zane could! Upon being told to lead the way, Irene gently took his hand and began leading him off into the forest. The trip was a little bumpy. They had to walk over a lot of uneven ground, raised roots and other mini-obstacles in their way. Irene led him for a bout three minutes before she stopped and put a finger in front of her lips.

"Shh. Move too quickly and they'd fly away."

Irene crouched down and slowly moved toward a bush, pushing the leaves to the side. On the other side of this bush, there was a clearing of white flowers and an unbelievable amount of butterflies just scattered about. They were all different colors and shades of greens, blues, yellows, purples, and pinks. Seeing a sight like this, Irene always ended up much more relaxed. There was something about nature that made her feel at home. She didn't know what it was, but the feeling she got out here was similar to the feeling others got when watching a child sit in their room learning to read a book instead of playing a video game. To Irene, there was something precious about it.

"I hope you catch one of the blue and green ones. They're my favorite. I just want to get a close look for a little while and then let it go."
