Re: Back in Black (JS vs Zero)
Thu Feb 03, 2011 11:14 am
Jon jumped over the shockwave, but not without it grazing his legs as he jumped.
"Was that supposed to hurt?!" Jon mocked.
Jon winced at the pain but shook it off as best as he could.
"Come on! I've fought Mod Souls Tougher than you!"
Once he was directly over Zero, he put his plan into action. Jon was wise to have not let go of Zero's Cloak. Jon threw the cloak Zero had abandoned at the Reploid, hopefully obscuring his vision, and brought his blade down hard. Jon hoped it would collide with his opponent's blade, but it would have been useless anyway. After, his opponent's sword was not a Zanpaku-to. Jon ignored this fact. He merely pressed on, going throught with his strategy. To him, the Reploid had insulted his honor by suggesting that he let his Hollow run rampant whenever it felt like it, and nothing was more important to Jon than his honor.

[Project ZERO]
Zero didn't expect to hit full force with his first shockwave attack, but to be able to hit the enemy in the first place with the very first move was not bad at all. Still, now he had to be on guard not to end up being in pieces instead of whole. As his former own cloak was fluttering down towards him and obstructed his vision, Zero quickly switched from his normal eyesight to his thermal view, seeing at least the outline of JS through the brown threads of the cloak. For a human, changing the eyesight would require some time to get adjusted to, but a robot processed data at the speed of light. The change was so fluent for him, it might've just not existed in the first place.
"You can't taunt me." Simply stating that fact with a calm voice, Zero dashed upwards, slashing his sword into the air - this was the 'Fire Upper', the EX-Skill of his fire chip installed currently. Sparking flames and a view sparks, his sword crashed against the one of the Vizard behind the cloak, tearing it into pieces between the crashing forces. Using his Air Thrusters while still in the middle of his jump, similliar to a Shinigamis flash step, Zero got distance between himself and the Vizard again, so as to not engage into blade to blade combat before figuring out the weapon of his enemy quite yet. His left hand slipped right into the opening hole on his left side of the armor, pulling out a handgun with the same energy powering it as his sword, a nearly infinite fusion-battery energy cell. Outdated technology by todays standards.
"Eat this!" Pulling the trigger repeatedly without wasting time aiming while falling down back to the ground, Zero released at least two dozen shots, each with half the power of a regular Bala attack, blindly spraying into the area, without caring about the fact that it would pretty much turn a small part of the city into a landscape of small craters.

Jon did his best to evade these attacks, getting hit by a few and cancelling his own. Jon leaped away from Zero, trying to rethink his strategy. 'This thing is a Robot, so he probably won't feel any pain... unless...'
Jon gripped his sword in his mouth, freeing up his hands for a few Bala. Jon launched a good 2 or three pairs of Bala toward Zero. Then, whilst Zero was busy with the Bala, Jon carefully cut into his hands and stabbed into his own stomach. Wincing at the pain of his wounds, Jon lept back. "I CAN'T TAUNT YOU, HUH?! SO CAN I HURT YOU, ROBOT?!" Jon clasped his hand together in a Kamehameha-like manner. Then, on his hands, stomach, and open mouth, four cero began to Form...
'We'll see who has the last laugh...' Jon thought.

[Project ZERO]
Out from the smoke of the exploding energy bullets he fired, a swarm of Bala came to answer the barrage. One of them scratched over the armor on his left shoulder, another one burned off part of the helmet the android was wearing. Ducking under another two of them with a quick drop of his mechanic body, a few movements of his hand changed something with the handle of his saber.
"Shield Boomerang!" Suddenly holding a sharp-edged energy shield infront of him, most of the other Bala attacks hit against the energy protector while Zero charged it up with Reishi at the same time. Even though he was a close-combat robot, his ranged attacks were nothing to laugh about. Changing his chip from fire to lightning as the last of the Bala burned across his right leg, Zero gathered information in his system about the damage he recieved. Nothing major, mainly the upper layer of his armor was damaged. A normal Bala needed to land a perfectly clean hit to have a chance of penetrating his metallic protection at the weak points, let alone his main armor. The only seriously damaged part was one of the parts of his helmet, which were mainly there for decorative uses.
"I don't feel pain, Jon. I am a machine." With those words, while the Vizard tried charging up his four Cero-attacks, the android pulled back his shield and threw it at the opponent with all his strength. Cutting through the air, the lightning chip inside of his system not only turned the red armor yellow, but also surrounded the shield with lightning bolts and high charges. Upon contact with anything, it would discharge.
And a Zanpakuto was made out of spiritual metal...
Jumping sideways against a wall, Zero used his air thrusters to repeatedly kick against it while going upwards, making his way to the top of the relatively small building with this 'wall-kick' technique with intense speed. Of course, up here, he was a better target, but also, his shield would have an easier time coming back to him. A sudden blow of wind gushed through the robotic, blonde hair of the robot, who still did not have a single emotion on his face.

Jon waited for Zero's Sheild to get as close as possible, then fired. Jon poured as much power as he could without exerting himself into those four cero. He had a limited amount of time because the Stomach Cero cauterized his wound and once it closed completely, the Cero was over. Jon prayed that it would work. Jon was ready for whatever damage that may occur. Jon smirked as the wound in his stomach closed, causing the Cero to end and rolled on the ground underneath the boomerang. Gripping KuroOni once he was clear of the boomerang's first swing. Jon stood up and gripped his Zanpaku-to, ready for the boomerang's return strike. "MAKE NO MISTAKE, ZERO! I WILL WIN!" There was a fierce spirit in Jon's eyes that could be seen by anyone who looked.
