So the beast was starting to awaken from his slumber. Tetsuya's could feel that inching and slow pull of his inner darkness. He'd not yet become a Vizard completely. Though the process had begun and was rather annoying to be on a job and have it happen. It was about time he started using footwork as well to start fighting Zaraki. Tetsuya had been properly trained as a killer. It wasn't a glamorous occupation in many ways but it had been a life. He was the Beast of Kusajishi born and running wild till his father tamed that spirit. It was about time he stopped swinging his sword like an idiot. And started fighting as trained and using techniques and other skills. Tapping his foot on the ground as Zaraki began his movement. It was time for this brawl to truly begin. Shukuchi was the footwork of Kierudo and very useful in many ways. Zaraki was swinging his sword with the intention of bringing a battle to him. It was just as well since it was about time he showed off something of his own.
Zaraki's instincts were impeccable from what he could tell. Utsusemi was something he could perform rather easily. He wasn't quite at the skill level of his father. But he could perform a decent one with most masters of the craft. As he performed the step letting his outer clothing get sliced to pieces. Dokenjitsu Yokai was the move choice in this situation. A normal guy this would have killed, hell even a slightly strong guy would of bit it. He sent his palm into the back of Zaraki, sending the max acceleration and power outwards. The buildings and the path before it was blasted. It was almost an explosion of force as Tetsuya slowly straightened his form. He was a Hakuda user unlike his father and was quite skilled at it. He slowly slides into a stance preparing now to fight. As plants and earth grew around him ready to defend him against an attack. Time was up for a singular battle now as Tetsuya stood straight. That clawing and gnashing in his mind going away as a fierce stare remained ready.
So long as he didn't get to beat up or emotional. He could hold the creature at bay within him. He didn't intend to let it have him anytime soon as he had a job to do. His personal combination of hakuda and zanjutsu. It was about to begin and the speed and power of it were frightening. He didn't pull punches or leave room for openings. His spiritual pressure began glowing around him as he prepared to truly begin fighting Kenpachi Zaraki.

It had been a long time, hundreds of years, since Zaraki mastered the reflexes and sixth sense of detection required to fight powerful and fast opponents. Even from an unmoving, statue-like position he could dodge, deflect, or counter attacks the fraction of a second before making contact with him. Combined with his ability to keep track of foes and pinpoint their locations at any given time and it was clear why almost everyone he encountered considered him to be a demon of battle, impossible to overcome. Despite this infamous reputation reaching to the far ends of countless worlds, Zaraki repeatedly found himself in situations where his enemies use the most obvious techniques or actions possible against him. Either it was assumed Kenpachi wasn't very intelligent or due to his fighting style people figured they could fight in pretty straightforward ways. The reality of Zaraki Kenpachi was a bit different.
Once again this was the case: Tetsuya was using the Hoho technique Utsusemi in order to gain the element of surprise by immediately attacking the Shinigami from behind. This telegraphed action was but too obvious for Zaraki. In the instant his sword began cutting through the man's clothing Zaraki was already turning in place, his left arm stretched out all the way. This near instantaneous pivot allowed the Shinigami to spin himself in such a way Tetsuya's attack hit air and Zaraki would end up located directly behind the Monsuta general in the perfect position to follow up with his own attack. Once able, Zaraki swung his Zanpakutou downward in a swift bone-crushing attack, potentially causing serious bodily harm to Tetsuya. Being one of the most skilled swordsmen alive also meant he knew how to use his body and other limbs in conjunction with his Zanpakutou to a terrifying degree with this specific action a testament to this simple truth.
Whether his attack landed or not didn't matter to Rukongai's own personal demon, as he would continue attacking as swiftly and powerfully as he could. This meant as his previous action finished Zaraki was already moving toward Tetsuya again. Zaraki's incredible, logic-defying killing intent exploded outward, able to make the most steadfast and fearless warriors' skin crawl or worse. His killing intent was just the preamble to his next attack: a full force stab aimed squarely at Tetsuya's torso capable of creating a tunnel of destruction tearing through houses and buildings behind the Vizard for over a hundred meters regardless if it hit or not.

The trap had been successful and the test was complete. No cheap gimmicks or tricks would work against Zaraki. Tetsuya's lips let out a soft exhale as the swing was blocked. By earth and metal that formed and caught the blow. It was crushed and bent beneath the force to be certain. But it didn't give way as it continued moving and something else began. He was having to get innovative here against the Rukongai's favorite demon. It was a tough matchup to be sure as rock began to wrap around Zaraki's feet. Metal pieces piercing along the side as it tried to begin grabbing him. Six metal rods shot from the ground at his back midsection. Tetsuya had been buying time to prepare everything needed. Razorwire based plants formed that threw themselves like Whips at Zaraki's body. This was only getting more interesting as he turned to look at the male. This would do for now as he needed a second to do this. His posture changed as he lowered his center of gravity now. Stepping back a couple feet to give himself distance.
Zaraki had the earth to contend with at the moment. As those vines of razor wire like sharpness tried to wrap around his head and body entirely. While metal javelins began pumping towards him as pillars of earth began to form around Zaraki. He needed only one shot at using his favorite sword move. Skilled use of a blade was something he didn't often see. Kierudo Fushichou was ready and prepared as his muscles tensed. His body beginning to prepare to unleash his personal technique. Keeping the offense on Zaraki without giving him a moment to breathe. He pivoted forward with enough power to kill, no destroy a person. Because anyone else would just simply be blown apart by Fushichou. This wasn't elegant swordplay or something simple as that. Pivoting forward he sent a thrust at Zaraki now. His zanpakuto's blade sent a massive blast of force outwards. If it wasn't dodged or avoided it would do massive damage to Zaraki's entire body. The force could be considered similar to a flame.
The ground and area within its path were consumed as the blade lunged toward's Zaraki. If this didn't work he'd need to try fighting him a different way. His mind felt heavy as that voice came screaming in again. It wasn't like this didn't go away either. His father warned him about this and doing missions under these conditions. But he'd not crumble and burn here. Not yet, he had a job to do and he'd do it come hell or high water. He'd yet to complete the task he was here for. Bankai would put strain further and could cause a hollofication of high quality. His vision felt dark and his breathing heavy as he was fighting a war on two fronts. This battle couldn't be taken from him otherwise this could get ugly. He wasn't sure what type of powers his Hollow would have. Only one thing was clear, his situation wasn't like others. This attack needed to show some sort of results. This back and forth was in favor of the Kenpachi thus far due to his stamina being depleted quickly.

Zaraki Kenpachi wasn't happy, no not at all. His opponent kept dodging or blocking his attacks instead of fighting him directly head on. While he wasn't necessarily a stickler when it came to fighting styles, Zaraki preferred actually being able to meet his foe's blade instead of dealing with whatever this conflict had mutated into. Tetsuya's tricks would just prolong the inevitable, unable to keep the demonic beast that was Zaraki at bay. The stones wrapped around the Shinigami's feet were immediately shattered, his own leg strength being more than enough to deal with, in his opinion, annoying rocks. Each piece of metal which followed was cut apart, Kenpachi's unnamed Zanpakutou tearing through them like a hot knife through butter. His incredible reflexes and physical power allowed him to deal with the pesky abilities of his opponent calmly, no worry racking his mind as he cut apart everything around him.
In reaction to the metal rods attempting to strike his back, Zaraki placed his blade directly in their way behind his back, holding it aimed at the ground over his shoulder. Next were the razor wire-like vines shooting toward him. Zaraki dealt with these by grabbing the whips with his offhand, causing them to wrap around his arm and cut through his skin at various points. Even with his right arm bent awkwardly, his left bleeding from multiple lacerations, and having to contend with whatever else Tetsuya was going to throw at him, Zaraki wasn't frightened or worried in the least bit. In fact he was more confident than ever, though his excitement for this battle had been damaged by the Monsuta general's little tricks. As he watched the man clearly prepare something else, Zaraki figured it was about time he got rid of the stones and metal and plants currently annoying him. After lifting his right leg momentarily into the air, Kenpachi slammed it down with cataclysmic force, rupturing not only the ground directly below him but sending out powerful shockwaves in every direction capable of bringing down buildings and certainly capable of throwing even someone like Tetsuya off balance. This destruction spread out with Zaraki at its epicenter, forming multiple rings which immediately shattered into a gigantic fifty meter wide crater in the ground. In the process of causing such devastation all of Tetsuya's creations on and around Zaraki had been blown away, leaving him standing alone with only some of his left arm bleeding to show for his opponent's efforts.
With clear vision of Tetsuya now, Zaraki was able to react to the man's attack with one of his own of a similar level. Lifting his Zanpakutou above his head, the blade stayed still for but a moment before its wielder swung it down with enough force to split the earth between the fighters. However, this wasn't all Zaraki did: From the tip of his sword a massive blast of spiritual energy burst forth, washing over the land not like a peaceful wave but like a titanic tsunami, devastating the already-devastated terrain as it rushed toward Tetsua's own attack. Between the physical force of his swing and the power of the attack's energy, it wouldn't be surprising for a humongous explosion to result from its collision with the Vizard's attack. Due to only being in his first release state at this point, there was a decent chance Tetsuya's attempt at severely injuring Zaraki could even be overwhelmed by the latter's response. In this outcome Kenpachi's mixed energy and physical destructive wave might reach his opponent and, like his own attack, cause severe damage to the Monsuta warrior.

This thing was a beast everything he came at it with was failing more and more. Was this zanpakuto merely a boring outcome of possibilities? Tetsuya's eyes locked on more with the situation at hand as he observed it. This wasn't going to be an easy matter to deal with in the slightest. He specialized in assassination and fighting at a distance. He couldn't see a way out of this situation as he heard that familiar voice buzzing in his head. The white noise almost like static making him growl a bit. Why couldn't he just win this fight, why couldn't he bring down Zaraki Kenpachi? Was he not good enough against this man perhaps, he stared at the incoming attack. His jaw tightening as he felt his body take the hit and get sent flying in the debris field. The blast was strong enough to send him flying as bits of white began forming on his face. His eye began to turn black slowly as he felt his grip fading. He couldn't afford to lose to this guy, not like this. He needed to do so much more and complete his journey as a warrior.
His injuries began healing rapidly as the hollow's power in that area began to take effect. Blood was slowly turned white as the wounds began healing rapidly. Tetsuya no longer had interest in his zanpakuto as only breathing could be heard now. A raspy sound as though he'd lost consciousness at this point. Reiatsu raw and dark poured from his body ominously as he began covering his body with stone and such things. It was a strange thing desiring to get up but being unable to do so. He wanted to push beyond this, to push past his limits. So much he wanted to overcome it all and win one fight. To be able to be an influence in a battle. He'd give anything to just be able to fight his enemy without holding back. To be able to face them squarely, his digits clasped his blade. Walking forward slowly as his regeneration began to pick up his form seeming to stumble. Within him it was a different animal entirely, this little build up brawl had finally turned him.
Not being able to get past that damage or avoid it cost him dearly. He felt his grip on what once was a Shikokai fading further away. His voice felt so far away as this thing walked toward's Zaraki. It was only intent on fulfilling his wishes and moving forward. This felt so strange like he was a cold stream and unable to move. As though his body and limbs were frozen and couldn't reach it. Perhaps the best word for it was to be sinking deeper into the void. No, it was something else entirely when it came to that. The defense could be a layer and protected so you could fight how you wanted. But this feeling of no longer being in control. Something about it was relieving. To lose one's self into the abyss and fall finally. But another part of him didn't want to lose control here or lose himself. No this had too many implications for the Monsuta. He'd not be the one loss to this would be an invasion. This army coming from his former place of employment. His eyes had turned yellow as they stared at Zaraki.
The swing that came felt stronger as his body wanted to scream under the pressure. But something felt different as his limbs moved, the power coming from them was far greater. Was this being, this hollow enhancing his already considerable strength? Was this all part of the grand plan it had? He couldn't move a muscle during that attack because it wouldn't allow it. He'd simply been knocked for a loop and now this. It was certainly a lot to take in as the swing of the blade would send a shockwave of force. Even if Zaraki blocked it the area behind him would be blasted away. This was raw physical power being shown now as Tetsuya's speed and physical capabilities were being brought to their pinnacle now. By this being who restored the broken body and began to fight. This battle was reaching its third act finally, it wouldn't go without saying though. Zaraki had opened a door and it was the time they took a stroll where only Beasts and demons can walk. A place beyond the realm of those normal peons.

The overwhelming attack had managed to score a hit on Tetsuya, a fact which didn't interest Zaraki Kenpachi much. While other Shinigami might be glad about landing a blow, he did not. Zaraki had fully expected to land the attack, while simultaneously hoping his opponent would be strong enough to not be injured from it. After all, even though Kenpachi's attacks thus far had been colossal in power, it was just a mere fraction of his true strength. In fact, it wasn't a stretch to say the vast majority of his spiritual pressure and overall power was still hidden away, restricted by the piece of equipment covering his right eye. Despite having already reduced multiple city blocks to rubble merely by fighting near them, Zaraki continued to wear his eye patch. Wanting to enjoy this battle for as long as possible meant he would not so willingly destroy all of Belize by removing the device preventing him from going full force.
Despite the dust clouds and his own inability to accurately analyze to a high degree other Reiatsus, Zaraki could tell something was up. More spiritual power was pouring out of his rubble-trapped opponent. More than that however, he could sense the renewed and increased killing intent radiating off his enemy. While his own killing intent had been described as constantly feeling like a knife held to the throats of those around him, Tetsuya's was nothing to scoff at either. At the very least it was different from just a moment ago, a fact which only served to excite Zaraki Kenpachi for what was to come. The battle was about to ramp up once again.
From out of the dust stood an individual who had Tetsuya's body, but who's face had been covered by a sinister mask and who's eyes had changed to yellow and black. Zaraki recognized this occurrence as a Vizard's Hollowfication. Having come across and fought Vizards before, Rukongai's Demon was glad his foe still had some things up his sleeve. And though the man's Reiatsu now eclipsed that of likely anyone else on the Monsuta's side of the invasion, Kenpachi wasn't worried. If anything things would get even more fun from here on out.
As his opponent swung his blade in an another attempt at harming the Shinigami, Zaraki Kenpachi responded in kind by striking with his own weapon. This created another cataclysmic attack which collided with and prevented Tetsuya's from even reaching its target, resulting in a terrifying shock wave at the collision's epicenter. The shock wave spread and collapsed any of the nearby buildings or houses still standing at this point in the fight. The two combatants now stood essentially in a no man's land in the middle of Orange Walk Town, Belize. The perfect spot for a duel between two warriors capable of bringing down entire nations. As tension built, so did Zaraki's excitement. It was time for Soul Society's nightmare to go on the offensive.
Zaraki shot forward from his position, his incredible strength allowing him to match and exceed the speed of Shunpo without actually using any kind of movement technique. Within a second he reached his target. Speed and strength together culminated in a downward sword swing which could tear apart the heavens themselves. This attack arced widely, the resulting pressure blast being enough to slice through and explode a clock tower over three hundred meters away. Unlike any of his previous attacks, this one had the full force and power of Zaraki's killing intent. To him play time was over, and now he was ready to actually commit to a life or death battle. Everything which came before was irrelevant. Now Zaraki was serious, now he was ready to have some real fun.
Following his last attack, Zaraki swung his multiple meter-long Zanpakutou six times in rapid succession; each blow as damaging as the last. If Tetsuya wasn't careful even with his newfound power there was the risk of being not just cut to ribbons, but torn apart and destroyed in every sense of the word. The physical strength and swordsmanship of Zaraki Kenpachi weren't just legendary, they were mythological. For most it was almost impossible to even comprehend what the Shinigami was capable of. While they could imagine cities and lands being struck by incredible and inhuman abilities, Zaraki's almost-comical physical power alone being enough to rend nations asunder was usually beyond the imaginative capabilities of most people, even of those who'd observed the former. Even with his eye patch on these attacks seemed to cause rumblings in the earth below the fighters, as if seismic activity was occurring. Each pulse through the city caused by Zaraki's strength damaged and brought down more structures. Orange Walk Town was quickly becoming little more than ruins.

Even with his eye patch on these attacks seemed to cause rumblings in the earth below the fighters, as if seismic activity was occurring. Each pulse through the city caused by Zaraki's strength damaged and brought down more structures. Orange Walk Town was quickly becoming little more than ruins.

The true battle had begun, the hour of judgment perhaps had arrived for Tetsuya. He wasn't going to go quietly into the night was he, he sat down in a corner. Letting his Hollow run rampant as he felt defeat inside him. On the outside, it was a different situation. He didn't care if his entire body shattered at this point. He would fight till nothing remained of his being and soul. If he died so be it, he'd not allow this place to go without turning into nothing. As their swords clashed the ground around them shattered into pieces as the strength he was putting out now was greater than before. He was able to trade blows with the massive man. The concentration of his energy was good for the most part. But as they began trading shots now and his hollow deflected blows in the sequence they came. His own power was echoing out as he didn't feel anything. This town was shattering for each blow of the two titans as the hollow decided to focus on something aside from energy. Using the angle of the blade it deflected each blow and sent a counter.
Power was being used along with a bit of skill as the blade hit Zaraki's skin it was far sharper. Something about it dug deeper and cut the background behind Zaraki. But all the while this rampaging battle continued outside. Within his core, Tetsuya laid theirs in an inner world that lay beneath the ocean. His Zanpakuto had gone silent and he watched as nothing remained within this abyss. No fish or hopeful light to glimmer a way out. This wasn't something you could cash in on or hope for a turn out with. Tetsuya's body and being were focused on a singular matter. Fighting the monster Kenpachi Zaraki, the Hollow understood this hunger and desire. Tetsuya didn't get it as he laid there upon the ground. This was a poor situation to be in at this moment. He saw nothing here but the abyss of his failure. He'd lost and failed to protect Tsubaki and now here again. As a warrior, he was a disappointment and that was clear. He couldn't abide in the realm of the light.
It was at this moment that man walked out similar to him in the build. "How long ya planning to mope and let me have the fun, Tetsu?" His eyes widened a bit as the man sat down across from him. His visage was striking and similar those eyes though. Were not the eyes of a man cowering in fear behind some banner or belief. It was the eyes of conviction and someone who would fight without regard. Who'd not only fight to destroy his enemy. Tetsuya's eyes focused in on the situation as he stared at the outer world. This entire thing felt like a glass well he was falling through. Years of trying to impress the old man and do right. By the guy who saved him sure it was important. What would he do not to lose this fight at this point? Would he put his life up as a wager? Would he bet his being as a Shinigami and even his zanpakuto? Yes, he'd bet every single thing he had, nothing withdraw or left out. He was willing to go the distance in this situation and beyond.
This wouldn't be the first or last time he did something like this. "What do you want to hear, that I don't get it. Or maybe some heartfelt story about, me being a noble? I just wanna kick his ass and win this.I don't care about this entire place or if it dies.I want to win...I HAVE TO WIN." This speech wasn't something he made lightly as his eyes narrowed. He didn't care if he became a hollow or some monster twisted into the world. Vizard or maybe even beyond that if he needed to be. His zanpakuto gave life to the world and made things appear. Tetsuya didn't care about it or anything else right now. This Hollow like being was the one answering his inner plea. Not his spirit which he'd been so confident in those years ago. He watched as his body moved faster and stronger, pushing the limitations. Using the zanpakuto's power to coat him in armor and other things. Protection as he fought a head-on battle. His eyes of yellow glowed as black reiatsu poured from him.
His blade swings deflected and took small cuts at Zaraki's body. But these were sharp and precise slices able to cut the very air and beyond through buildings. Zaraki's iron-like skin should have been punctured by now as Tetsuya sat lingering in his doubt as he watched standing up slowly. "I don't care who gives me this win, if I become a devil so be it..I cannot affoard to lose..This is a battle of lifetime..Let's beat his..ass" This was an attack pouring as Tetsuya's spiritual pressure began increasing. The Hollow Spirit grinned a bit as he liked the attitude and desire for victory. Hunger was there like an animal awoken to the hunt, no tricks or stupid gimmicks anymore. He couldn't do those things any further as he exhaled softly. This level of skill and power weren't enough to fill his hunger. He wouldn't try and be the perfect Shinigami anymore. Screw that entirely, he'd strike out on his own and go somewhere else. He'd walk the road completely abandon by others and walk this dark side.
He finished his combo with a blow strong enough even if blocked to send Zaraki skating backward several feet. His expression hadn't changed, but it seemed he was doing something different. Tetsuya was letting the Hollow fight so he could observe and figure out how to take things further. His breathing had changed to animalistic to calm as the Hollow and he was combining their efforts for a single purpose. Sending the Beast of Zaraki packing from this battle.

Tetsuya's muscles tightened as he saw no offense getting through. His vision getting harder to contain. Bankai could be released at this point, but with each stage, he grew further. The physical enhancements of his inner hollow were frightening. Tetsuya's muscles and speed were getting faster as well at this point. His reiatsu was also growing more as the hollow decided to do something unheard of. Tetsuya got put in the driver seat now of his body. In its hollowfication period, this hadn't been done before. Why surpass his father or any of that? No there wasn't a point in surpassing or hungering for power anymore. He couldn't linger in the pits of despair any longer. Unlike Zaraki's previous enemies, he could see the strike coming. He felt something changing inside him as a strange call came to him. A crimson glow filled the edge of his blade. He was creating a cero blast on his sword's edge. He'd block with it and cause an explosion on Kenpachi. Cero's felt so natural to him and almost akin to second nature.
It was as though he was finally comfortable in his own skin. Hollowfication felt nice in the body, he wasn't mentally stressed or even finding himself worried. Tetsuya's inner hollow made one fact clear, he didn't care about anything. He wanted Tetsuya to drop this whole father worshiping act and fight for his own desires. What was it he truly wanted out of his life in the end? As his sword struck Zaraki's blade his eyes remained cool and calm. His muscles tightened as the blast caused them to go into a larger hole. But one thing was now evident from this clash of the two. "Bankai...seem's kind of pointless at this point...I like these powers a bit more..they feel more..comfortable." He said breathing out those words as he grinned beneath the hollow's expression. His eyes were black and his voice was raspy. It sounded like two people talking almost at the same time. Why did he care so much less about zanpakuto skills now? His hollow powers felt nice and almost like a soothing lullaby.
Tetsuya's arm pushed Zaraki's blade upwards as he used a Cero to give him extra pushing power. It also helped that he was physically showcasing a huge amount of power. His next blow alone would be enough to cave this small place into the ground. He didn't care about results anymore or anything. He was going to enjoy this fight as much as he could. Bankai, why was this guy so interested in his bankai. It wasn't worth much to him at the moment truly. Tetsuya didn't detest his zanpakuto. Maybe it was the way he'd been using it all this time. Trying to make his zanpakuto some assassins tool. He was a beast and beasts didn't fight like that. No, they gnashed their teeth and clawed throats out of people. Maybe that's why this hollow's powers came so natural to him. Because in the end he'd trade his entire zanpakuto spirit and become more hollow. A beast fought with raw emotion and power alone above all else. Technique and strategy were good but in this situation. This worked just as well as his grin widened.
Tetsuya had never been able to use kido, the idea of the entire thing espcaped him. But ceros, these felt nice and comfortable in his hands. Like just releasing a blast of energy from one's hand or weapon. It was so easy to manipulate and control. Sure Tetsuya didn't act like other victims of hollowfication. But he'd always been different ever since his birth into this world. Reincarnation and that nonsense that went through his mind. Strange dreams of a hollow woman out in the Hueco Mundo expanse. Everything felt natural as he brought his sword down with expert speed now. Slamming it downward as a massive blast of cero came from his edge. It was true the hollow had relinquished control of the body. Letting Tetsuya fight like this, since he wanted to prove a point. Tetsuya's eyes were glowing with a raw dark energy that he seemed to embrace. He was embracing something darker and more primal then simple Shinigami powers or balance.
This was the advent of Tetsuya Tachibana coming to life.
