» Item Description: GITS is a very strange new kind of technology that was developed by Chifuyu, operating primarily for surveillance and infiltration while also serving as information gathers. The GITS is a large swarm of nanites which are made of Chifuyu's cyrstal. An organic/technological hybrid that follows the orders of Vanguard operatives. The GITS is mass produced solely for the key factor of being able to go deep into enemy lines and find and gather information. Each nanite has a massive sensor array for their tiny size, being able to tell just about every detail of the environment they are active in and send the information to all Vanguard operatives in the area as well as that the GITS also provides a secure line of transmission between operatives due to being able to interact with technology and interact with all forms of equipment such as the Ares Project, Phantom Tech and everything basically. If it's technological then the nanites can link with it.

Naturally this makes them excellent at sabotage and destruction as well, being able to be sent in a small cloud. Infiltrate the defences due to their size and composition before regrouping, entering via control of technology and then form whatever physical things they might need inside the base. The perfect pieces of tech that Chifuyu believes to be incredibly useful. She also is able to sync with these nanites herself, assimilate them into her body and keep them on her should she need them, they operate through her nervous system allowing it to act like a small swarm with the exact goal.

There is however the part that confuses a lot of people, GITS is organic and in some cases shows signs of being sentient, it doesn't like to be taken for granted or abused and it can even show temper when in combat by completely disregarding the orders it has. For this reason Chifuyu tends to remain in control of them due to treating the technology well and as if it were alive where as most people would view it as a tool.
