Tranquility, serenity. The sound of the sparse rodents and birds that flew across the expanse of the mostly treeless stretch of earth that laid before her, the ground hard and cold. Yet for the most part it was absolutely unnoticed by the one sitting upon it, her legs crossed as she took deep breaths. Her eyes remained closed as she could feel the very energy within her body circulating in response to the Qi pathways within. The energy ebbed and swelled like the tide, with her arrow like exhalation stirred up motes in the pre-dawn air. The crystalline frost particles refracting light in a dazzling manner when met with the steam that blew from her lips, her own body heat much higher than the surrounding landscape. At this moment she was in a state what some called meditation, others would dubb “zen” whatever the term right now her heart-beat was incomparably slow, to the point that it maybe would beat a few times a minute, rather than the typical “humans” rate of 60 plus beats a minute.

The birds warbled overhead and one even came to perch upon her left knee. The bird glancing up at the woman who sat their, a fine layer of frost already adorning her kimono. It cocked its head to the side, almost as if it was questioning why someone would be out here, in a place so far removed from civilization, sitting here in a state most people; well normal people would know as hypothermia. At this time magnolia inhaled, her lungs pulling in air with a ferocity that caused it to be like a vortex. The biting cold air traveling down her trachea and into her lungs. This process was repeated with exaggerated slowness, maybe a few times every ten minutes, yet for now as she meditated oblivious to the outside world, the skies overhead which had been overcast the entire morning finally had begun to let down their payload.

Snow fell in great white fluffy flakes, descending from the heavens to blanket the hard frigid earth with soft white powder. Yet even as the first flake fell upon magnolia’s nose, she hadn’t stirred. Rather even when the snow grew heavier and heavier, to the point she was buried under the soft white, and rather cold powder. She hadn’t moved. She continued to meditate while only the faintest of spiritual signatures belied her power. Why? It was simple. She was mending from a disastrous fight that had taken place prior. Her shoulder seemed to be out of sorts, purple and bruising around the site where bones slowly mended. Her face was stunning, but it seemed cold her blue lips the only indicator that she may have been feeling the change in temperature.

Why? It was simple, normally the over abundance of spiritual energy within her would stave off the effects of the elements. However in this case more so due to the immense energy expenditure from her previous fight, as well as the large amount of strain upon her body, she didn’t quite have the stellar resistance that normally she might be capable of boasting. However this was as far as she had gotten before she had to mend. To heal and fix the wounds inflicted to her. It wasn’t ideal but it was the card dealt to her , and so she made the most of it. Hours passed and a tremor went through her body as her powerful physique finally began to feel the effects of the cold. Her body temperature was teetering, even though none of this was life-threatening, it was hindering her ability to mend. So she gathered her spiritual energy and release a portion of it as a flare, a bone-crushing mountain of energy which bore down upon the many miles surrounding her for but a moment before dissipating. Afterwards the meditating girl could only hope someone would show up.

Russia was a land of beauty; it's vast landscape was a place that offered such a diversity that any person would be able to find an environment that suited them. Whether it be the cities, each of which housed a plethora of modern marvels, a more rural, and perhaps traditional, city or the wilderness. Each of these places held some sort of charisma to them as they seemed to continually lure more and more people into their ranks; the most astonishing of these lands, however, had to be the wilderness. While all of the land had been explored there were still places in which man had not colonized. There were vast acres in which a person could find neither a building nor another person.

It was the serenity which the wilderness offered that had caused Vladimir to settle in the tundra. This place, a place in which there was simply wild animals and trees, was the best place for Vladimir to reflect; it was what had allowed him to perfect certain aspects of his being and to improve the parts that he had otherwise dislike. It was this immense silence, this isolation, that allowed him to explore himself so deeply. Today was supposed to be a rather average day for Vladimir; these average days usually varied, but today was meant to be rather mundane. To begin his day Vladimir had set out to gather some lumber for his cabin; it was a place which was left in the 1980's, hell it was probably even worse off than that. Being in the cold was something that did not bother Vladimir anymore, and as such, was what allowed him to live in such trying conditions. This lumber was what would fuel the fireplace and give his house warmth; it was rather old fashioned, but it was very effective.

After only an hour Vladimir had returned to the cabin carrying two full trees; he tended to simply cut the tree down and create the logs near his place; it was something that simply made the process that much easier. Chopping the tree into logs, then those logs into burnable planks, took Vladimir about another hour; he enjoyed this time chopping wood. It was a time in which Vladimir was able to plan out he remainder of his day; as for today he had planned to attempt to find some new inspiration for his Russian associates; they were talented men who could create almost anything he asked of them. They would be the people who, along with others, would help Russia enter a new age.

It was as Vladimir had finished chopping the wood that he had felt a rather large disturbance; it was not a noise or some visual, but an intense energy flash. It was rather quick, but he was able to pinpoint it's direction. It was with this that he decided to stop what he was doing and rush toward the oddity; after a few moments what came into view was rather shocking, but something that explained the large energy output. In the middle of nowhere sat a woman, who from what he can tell was not doing so well. It was with this that he would rapidly approach the female; after looking her over once for injuries he would lift her and begin the trip back to the cabin; it was a rather short trip as his Buzhou let him travel at amazing speeds.

Placing the young lady in front of the fireplace he would wrap her in a blanket and simply kneel down. "Are you okay? You seem a little worse for wear." With a slight chuckle he tossed more wood into the flames and awaited her response. "Talk when you can, no rush."

Why had the world gotten so cold? The chill seeped into her very bones as she felt her mind begin to slow. In these moments she knew, if she was left out here, this would not be an unfortunate pitstop. Instead if nothing changed she knew this would be her final resting place. Yet, she could hear the soft crunch of snow underneath boots, a sound that had already drew closer, and rather quickly at that. Yet she couldn’t bring her body to move, to defend as her baser instincts commanded her to. Rather it was the chill that had permeated into her bones that had begun to become all encompassing, there was nothing more than the chill, the numbness and the cold. In her mind she had already begun to recede from the material world, drawing back into the final bastion of her mind. It was in here that she could see them, even as her external self had been hoisted over-shoulder, proving to be as a side note, much heavier than a girl of her slight stature might be considered to normally be.

She could see them, her parents staring upon her. Their eyes full of mirth, and that knowing twinkle that happened whenever she did something they hadn’t expected. Her family, the home which had been ripped from her violently and had started the journey that seemed to stretch on to this very day. Within she was not the powerful warrior she had become, but rather a child. A child who had begun to do what any child would do in this situation. Run, Run towards the boundary in which her parents lay beyond. She ran, she sprinted and yet she got no where. Rather the images or maybe the spectral remains of her parents spirits still clinging to this world amongst her ancestors via a special connection through her zanpakuto; remained just beyond her reach. She was unable to touch them, to feel the warmth, and the love that once permeated every fibre of her being.

So she cried and asked why she could not reach them. She begged to be reunited with her lost family, to be whole again, to return to those happy days. Yet their answer was simple, in this fleeting illusion cast by a failing mind, her body already beginning to warm up. The mutterings “mother please” leaving her pale lips, the utterances of a child, and not a seasoned warrior such as she. They told her to go back, that the boundary was not one that it was time for her to cross. That it was not her time yet. And probably thirty minutes would pass, the sensation of cold that caused her delirium begun to only then abate. Frozen blood leaked from her kimono which was dyed a frightening splash of crimson.

Slowly she became cognisant, the sound of cackling flames near her, logs cracking as energy was expended. The sensations and the hallucinations which had brought her to tears had slowly abated. The images of her parents too faded, and she only glimpsed them ahead as they waved and left, the boundary receding. The ethereal concept of reincarnation was not foreign to her, and maybe on this day, this brush with near-death she may have touched upon it, nirvana. But for now as slowly her eyes opened and she looked over at the man whoever they were and her eyes studied his appearance. She took in the angular edge of his chin, and his raven black hair. Her eyes were of a striking gold, searching, and with a depth to them that one could become lost in. Her golden hair seemed to have partially dried by the fire now had hung behind her as she slowly raised a hand to feel the blanket she had been enshrouded in. It was soft to the touch, and she had begun to work her mouth as she started with the proper thing to say.

”Thank you. . “

Her voice hoarse, lacking it’s normal melodic tune given she was still on the mend. Yet the sincerity of it was immense, she truly was grateful to this stranger. She hadn’t yet elaborated about how she had gotten so injured, but rather she exhaled and probed herself internally, grimacing as some blood leaked from her lips in doing so. She was a mess and it was going to require time to mend, yet as she reached up under the blanket she remembered this was not hers, exhaling she’d say to the male.

” I might ruin your blanket.”

She didn’t know about cleaning methods in this world, but blood was generally hard to get blood off of stuff in hers. Even now she had slowly torn the dried segment of blood and cloth around her wound, allowing it to mend and tearing the scab open once more. It hurt and felt like white-hot fire lancing through her veins, but she had to do it. Only then as she heaved, the wrappings about her chest stained in blood did she answer the second half of his original question.

”..I fought someone of similar strength as mine trying to protect others, and made the mistake of showing them mercy. “

There was alot more to it, but that was the general gist of what happened, now the question was now that she was conscious, was he going to throw her out? She bit her lip apprehensive of this outcome, and waited to see how things would play out.

Vladimir believed himself to be a rather nice man; he knew that, like all others, he had his flaws, but that did not make him a bad person; the actions made by the person determined whether they were a good person or not. If he was to abandon this female then he would be no better than any sort of scum that joined forces with Shadow Fall. He would not allow himself to be seen as someone like this; more importantly, he would not let this beauty die in the middle of a tundra; that was not her destiny, of this he was certain.

"You're welcome dear. Ruin the blanket? Why are you worrying about something as trivial as that when you were about to die? Love, don't worry about the blanket. I can have it replaced in a matter of seconds." He chuckled at the innocence that was expelled through her thoughts; it was rather cute. "Why worry about such a simple thing? Worry about getting better, okay?" It was with this that he patted the girls head and stood; if someone were on the verge of death due to hypothermia they must have been out there a VERY long time; she would need something to eat. It was with this that he had heard the female's actions. It seemed she was a rather proactive girl, how admirable. It was with this that he would place a pot onto the counter and walk off for a moment; having entered the bathroom he would open a cabinet and grab a medkit. While he was not a skilled doctor he had learned more than enough to be able to handle something like this.

"May I ask why you were fighting? I won't say you shouldn't have been doing that, it's not my place to speak, but I am curious. Where are you wounded?" It was with this that he would sit beside the female, opening the medkit and taking from it a tube of cream and wrappings; it was with this that he would open the cap and apply the cream to what wounds he could see. After this he would re-wrap her wound and smile. "There, that should be good enough for now." He spoke, standing once more. "Do let me know if you have anymore injuries; I'm not a doctor, but I can handle basics." It was with this that he began to cook; a stew was simple enough and it was what he had already planned to cook. It had taken him a few moments to get the necessities into the pot, though it was after this that he would let it cook. Returning once more to the young lady he would kneel down in the same spot. "Now, I don't mean to seem like some weirdo, but do take all the time you need to rest. I don't mind having company for some time." He chuckled, smiling at the lady. "What is your name, I should have asked earlier! I am Vladimir, but you can call me Vlad. I do hope this place suits your needs!" He chuckled, scratching the back of his head.

Surviving death had made her viciously hungry, and it’d be fair to say that the throbbing in her head from bloodflow resuming wasn’t the perfect foil for vladimir's whit and charm. Magnolia’s golden eyes closed as he had stated he cared not about the blanket. Thus she had slowly begun to peel back the layers of cloth that had clung to her flesh. The pain enough that she wished to pass out. The broken bones being jostled from their holdings as they had been free’d to mend. The roaring fire behind her helped and she was close enough to it that she was encountering scalding heat, a far-cry from the frigid temperatures that had almost claimed her life. She smiled faintly , just the slightest twitch of the corners of her lips at his concern for her. It was a very human gesture, which had served to thaw the faint wariness she had against him.

She was undoubtedly grateful to him, and owed him a great debt she would never begin to be able to repay. Yet as she slowly shucked the layers of fine cloth she had felt her lips distilling into a faint frown. The mood changing as she responded in a faint manner, her voice cracking from how hoarse it was still during her mend. Even if now color had returned to her face, and a faint rosy color crept upon her cheeks from the heat of the flickering flames behind her, she still had a withdrawn haunted look about her. Her words had a strange disgust.

”..Tyranny is something i cannot abide by: the intent to take away ones free-will. Generally dictated by the strong who lord over the weak. I am reviled by it, and thus when put into a situation which i saw such a thing come to pass, i followed my convictions and fought them. No person should have the power to rule over another who is unwilling to be in such a position.”

She hissed as she moved the wrong way underneath the blanket, and it jostled the shards that stuck out of her skin. Soon he had left and his eyes watched two actions, one was the fact that he got a great pot, or rather she associated it with the sound of something in what she guessed was the kitchen hitting another surface. A grumble rumbling from her stomach. The second happened when he had traversed the cabin to get a kit of some sort. Her lips shifted and she suppressed a smile, he certainly was a freindly one. Speaking with “love this” “love that” . She thought it was cute in a way, the way he seemed sure of his actions, but unsure about how exactly to handle the situation before him. But she also wasn’t about to allow him to do something that would not only hurt, but have no real benifit.

It was for this reason that her good hand slid and gently coiled around his wrist as he bent to apply ointments to what was an extremely dire wound , bone shards and other particulates such as gravel and glass sticking from the wound. It was quite gruesome. Another thing of note would be in this moment he’d find inexplicably she was strong. Her hand strength and arm strength was enough that he’d probably be unable to withdraw his hand until she released it, after which her hoarse voice echoed in the room once more.

”..Might it be possible for you to pick the shards of bone and debri from the wound rather than apply ointments to it?”

If it was a different situation she might have laughed at how embarrassing this must be for him to misidentify the severity of the wound. However because of the direness of it and how weak she was, she gave him a faint smile and slowly pulled the cloth away from her shoulder, slipping it down to be clenched under her armpit. However baring her skin would not bring a flush upon her face, rather it remained composed and serene. She was a warrior who had bathed the battlefields in blood. She refused to be embarrassed by showing a bit of skin.

However she did hiss from the stinging sensation of her raw and wounded nerve-endings coming into contact with the open air of the cabin. Even if she was extremely tolerant of pain, it Hurt and she was distracted by turbulent thoughts. It was because of this she only just had finally answered him of her name.

”My name is Magnolia Everfrost.”

She smiled gently once more at the irony of her name, and the location she had found herself in. Hopefully now things would begin taking a turn for the best.

"Well, I must say that I am proud of your actions; not everyone has what it takes to fight for what they believe in. You are welcome here for as long as you need to stay. It could do me good having another who is willing to go through such great lengths to protect what they hold dear. I don't see enough of that in this world." He chuckled, smiling at the girl. It was as he was preparing to apply the ointment that she had grabbed him by the wrist; she was an unusually powerful girl, which was actually very interesting for Vlad; having been stopped he listened to what she had to say before lightly blushing. "I'm sorry, that was careless of me... Perhaps I am enjoying myself too much." He chuckled, though he did not realize how that had sounded until he had began to clean her wound.

With great care, and a slight blush, Vladimir would sit beside the girl; slowly picking out the debris from her wound he would stay quiet for a few moments, though he couldn't maintain it. "Magnolia Everfrost, huh? I guess our names don't tell the full story, huh?" With a light chuckle he continued in his endeavor of removing whatever debris it is that he could; the pieces were rather small and tedious, but it was doable. "Magnolia is a lovely name, I do enjoy it. Where are you from, Magnolia? May I ask? I hope I am not prying too much!" Although this female interested him greatly he did not want to make too forward an assumption.

Looking up at the girl he was able to see a brief smile, which in turn made him smile. "You look much better when you smile, why not do that a bit more? It suits you perfectly." It was with this that he recognized how unblemished her skin was; though he could tell she was a veteran her skin did not tell this tale; it was what could be described as flawless, much like the smile. "I am from Russia, that is the country in which you are in. I assume that you know this, but I just had~ to clarify." He laughed, finally finished with cleaning the wound. "Now that I have corrected that error, would you like a drink?" It was with this that he would realize her pain and simply frown; why must such a good person experience this pain? "I do wish I could take that pain away; I would gladly bare it myself if I could." With another smile he looked up to Magnolia. "Do you enjoy Whiskey, love? Would you like a cup, it could help take the edge off. Or perhaps Vodka is more your style? Honestly, either is fine with me." Scratching his chin he would look away for a moment before looking back at her. "You seem like a whiskey sort of person. Are you okay if I get up for a moment dear? I'll be right back." With a smile he would await her reply; this could be a rather trying time and he didn't want to force anything on her; he wasn't a mongrel!

She was. . Weary to say the least. Despite being here, she was acutely aware of her surroundings. Of the smallest changes in the room surrounding them. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that not a single thing escaped her vision. Magnolia listened to what he had to say and sighed slightly. She was mistrustful because of the fact that in their entire encounter, she was met with nothing but generosity, and there hadn’t seemed to be a ulterior motive. Needless to say in her experience, people weren’t that nice. They didn’t do things without expecting something in return, it was simply the way the world worked, and magnolia wasn’t the naive little child that would believe otherwise.

She was conscious of the miniscule space between them, and it caused her to tense up slightly. This . . proximity between them, was something she wouldn’t tolerate unless she was in a situation were she couldn’t dictate otherwise. As the deft and steadied hand guided tweasers to pick and pluck debris from her wound, the sensation was . . .Well, unpleasant to say the least. Her entire body felt quite similar to being burnt by an open flame, the frenzied signals her pain-receptors sent back to her brain in a clear state of overabundance.

Yet there wasn’t even the remotest flinch, or expression of pain upon her tranquil face. Instead it seemed like the pain had very little, if that at all of an effect on her. After the prolonged silence and his work was complete the male drew back, and her eyes followed him in a cautious manner. Especially when he began to speak to her once more, offering her something known as “whisky”. Which while magnolia didn’t know what it was but probably because of that fact, in her weakened state her response would be an aura of hostility that would abate only after the intent was clear.

She, did not want to be given things. Probably stemming from her uncertainty of the world around her; she hadn’t eaten a single morsel since traveling to this world of the living. Now that didn’t bother her in the slightest, as for her eating and consuming beverages was a pleasure rather than a dire necessity. Soon she shrugged the bloodstained kimono back up upon her shoulder, utilizing minute electrons within the air to reform and otherwise restructure the integrity of her clothing. Cleaning away bloodstains until at least she was clean, a step up from her previous predicament.

Eventually he asked if he could leave and to that she gave him a slight smile. He was acting if she was some frightened lamb, who for a lack of an analogy, was afraid and unsure of herself. It was true that she was hurt, but she certainly wasn’t a lamb. She was a proud warrior, and she exhaled as her voice resounded once more, still hoarse but stronger than before as finally with the bones and other bits removed from the wound she was able to begin the process of mending. By flooding spiritual energy into the wound, and manipulating the electrons within her body, she accelerated the bodies natural healing process by many fold. While this would be practical in battle she was certainly capable of doing this if she had to mend.

Because of it though a faint veil of sparks surrounded the wounds upon her skin.

”..You can leave if you wish, but i don’t want anything. Being able to sit here out of the cold is more than enough for me”

She was courteous, but the fact of the matter was, just because he saved her, didn’t mean she trusted him. She expected there might be a catch, some kind of favor she might owe, and she was weary of that. However she thought back to how he asked were she was from, and said the location they resided in she paused and spoke once more.

”I’m from the soul society you might say, now . . what is this russia you speak of?”

Aside from the crackle of the fire and the steadied breathes of the two. Vladimir was, to say the least, rather inexperienced with moments such as this; throughout all the years he had lived here it had simply been himself; having never entertained a visitor he had doubts about how well he was doing; something as simple as this shouldn’t be bothering, yet he found it nagging him from the back of his mind. Having cleaned the wound, and waited to hear the woman's reply, Vladimir placed his hands on the ground and pushed himself up; standing in place he would stretch his back and begin walking back to the kitchen. “You’re more than welcome to use the bath. The water should be hot, if that’s of any consolation.” It was with this that he reached the stove and turned off the flame; it seemed to have cooked quick enough.

Pulling out a pair of bowls, which he had obtained just in case company had ever come over - in all of the four hundred plus years they had not been used-, he simply ran them under water, dried the bowls, and began to pour servings into the bowls. It was as he did such that he couldn’t help but think that perhaps he had spoken too much. It was with these doubts that he grabbed a glass and poured himself a cup of whisky. As he poured the drink a thought entered his mind; this whole situation must be rather awkward. What made it worse, and what really gave the situation away, was that Magnolia was unaware of what Russia was. It was with this that he rubbed the back of his head for a moment and simply thought himself a fool; if she had no idea what Russia was, and how prosperous the country was, then Vladimir appeared to simply be some pervert. It was with this that he hund his head, realizing just how bad this seemed.

“Perhaps I should clarify a few things! I am, in no way shape or form, expecting you to repay me for all of this. I do this because I wish to, it is of my own recognisance. There is nothing that I expect from this and you are free to leave as you wish; I would advise against this, however, as you are still very wounded.” It was with this that he would walk over and place the dish in front of her; perhaps this was going to take much longer than he expected. Walking back, grabbing a set of utensils as well as his own bowl and drink, he would place himself a meter from the girl; it was time to clarify some things.

“Russia is a land of greatness; it is a place that offers sanctuary to all races and people. This land is so great that the average man only works fifteen hours a week, and can still support his entire family. We are a land that loves to support those who support us. We stand for peace and equality. I, myself, hold position of ‘Head of Operations’ for the military here. I’m sorry if I came off as weird, or seemingly expecting something in return.” It was with this monologue complete that he would grab his glass and finish off his drink; hell, the night was yet to begin!

“Ah, you are from Soul Society! I suppose that would explain why you do not know of Russia; this will be a grand experience for you! The people are nice, the food is great and the land is beautiful!” It was with great pride that he was able to say this. Raising the bowl, beginning to eat, he would look over to Magnolia. “Please do eat, the body needs energy to heal. That regeneration must wear you down. If you do plan to stay feel free to use the bed, I’ll just be out here.” Yet again he said something very awkward, and very creepy; closing his eyes he let out a sigh. It wasn’t as though he was trying anything, he did only have the purest of intentions.

The snow outside had picked up, it’s muted rumble a faint backlight in the cabin that the two dwelt within. Magnolia’s large irises scrutinized the male before her. Even after he had cleaned and dressed the wound, her muscles were taught like the sinew of a bow at full-draw. There was a tangible weariness in her gaze, which spoke that even now she didn’t know what to think of him. Soon though as her head shifted slightly, this faint motion causing locks of hair to spill over her shoulder and the bandage she released a faint exhalation of air from her lips. A sigh, with which the tension in her body had relaxed a smidge. Shifting she had continued to sit upon the floor, although now it was resting lightly on her legs rather than her rear, her legs tucked slightly over to the side while she reached behind her back.

This motion grasped the long oodachi that had been strapped across her back, it’s thin black sheath engraved with bears of a golden hue. Picking the weapon up she had set it besides her on the ground, adjusting it so if she needed she’d be more than capable of withdrawing the weapon from it’s housing in a very minimal timeframe. As she glanced back up, her attention locking upon Vladimir, she heard the familiar tenor timbre of her zanpakuto spirit as it spoke to her directly within her mind.

”..So . . Do you trust him? Or are we going to deal with him when you’ve gathered enough strength?”

Unbeknownst to vladimir the small smile that perked her full lips up was not directed at him, but rather the absurd concept of killing someone who had done nothing to earn her ire. Within her mind she shot back a comment that was dripping with satire.

”..Yes, and we can slaughter everyone else who helps us while we are at it!”

The comment had hinted at her answer, which was though she did not trust him, she was not going to cause harm to him, that didn’t quite sit well with her, even if she wouldn’t bat an eyelash at slaughtering someone on the battlefield.

Vladimir then clarified by telling her that she had nothing to fear from him, or rather that he expected Nothing from her in return for him saving her life. She kept a straight face, and yet her lips slowly pulled into a faint frown. She simply didn’t believe that he was so selfless as to save her from the goodness of his heart. She knew the world simply didn’t function on such a system . Yet as her golden eyes which glimmered like precious stones in the light searched his face and posture, she saw nothing to hint that he was lying to her. Rather only sincerity was reflected in him, and because of it she relaxed further and decided shed judge him only after she had gotten better, and wouldn’t jump to conclusions simply based upon her own biased nature.

Then she listened to him about the land they were in. “Russia” it was called, apparently just based upon what he said about it , it was vastly different from the land she hailed from, so she quashed the bemused smile upon her face and looked at vlad again and he spoke about how he was a part of the military. A fact which caused her to snort in the safety of her mind. A man like him would be eaten up when facing those who killed without qualm and tortured for whim and fancy. But maybe it was because of this strange awkwardness about him that she had lowered her guard enough, and eventually when he asked her to eat she exhaled and looked down at the food before her.

It looked good, but- no she quashed that thought even as it entered her mind. She had decided she was going to give this man a chance, and so she exhaled and looked up, reaching out with her good arm as she said in a soft raspy tone that seemed to have recovered a margin from its previous state.

”I guess i can eat something, it wouldn’t hurt. “

She shifted some, and pushed her weapon a bit away from her; signaling that she’d let him approach again. Her eyes studying him as she heard what he said about letting her sleep on the bed and him on the ground. This thought caused the facade she had erected of careful calm and from her lips a soft sound echoed.

”..Pfft”

A soft dry laugh left her lips as she said softly.

”>.If i slept on a bed i’d feel weird, it’s more comfortable here on the ground for me.”

That was true, she had lived out under the stars and in caves of granite for so long that she had forgotten the feel of a bed, sleeping in one now would be . .too weird for her who had been accustomed to the hardness of the ground. Yet it was probably the fact he was willing to do so for a complete stranger that caused her to thaw metaphorically speaking in terms of how she dealt with him. Her lips parted softly as she said in a gentle voice.

”..Thankyou for the offer though~”

ENTER THE SPECTER'S POST

Artist: Johnny Rivers - Song: Secret Agent Man - Word Count: N/A

The snow continued to fall outside; it was as though a blank page was being put into a typewriter. Another page in the novel known as Vladimirs life seemed to be coming into shape before himself; while he may not have noticed it, as of yet, each interaction was important. Each person who he had interaction with slowly loosened the chains which had been restraining him for all these years; his guilt slowly dying out and his true self coming through. There was no time to feel sorry for ones self, or even guilty, for actions that occurred so long ago. It was with this snow-fall that a new chapter in Vladimir's life would begin.

Given the rather strenuous circumstances Vladimir believed their interaction to be going well; while he did have a rather awkward air about him, his usual eager and confidence seemed to escape him. This situation was something which he was totally unfamiliar with; he knew how one should interact with another, hell, he could survive in a social setting, but this was very different. A feeling of uneasiness befell Vladimir. Was his actions appropriate? Was he giving off an awkward vibe? These questions seemed to mingle in his mind through their interaction, it seemed that he was, more than likely, overthinking things once more. It was as this anxiety began to take root that he would hear the movement of her blade; it was a small action, but one which he was able to notice. This offset a bit of the tension, it seemed that he was giving off a positive vibe! Good job, Vlad! He mentally patted himself on the back; this was, as it would seem, an accomplishment for the man.

With a smile he turned to Magnolia and spoke, "The food may not be amazing, by no means am I a gourmet chief, but it should be edible!" He chuckled, a bit more of his tension being released. Even with this small sign of trust, if it could even be called that, Vladimir felt awkward. He was unsure of what to say, how could he approach the woman? She seemed to be so distant, though that distance was slowly closing. It was odd, having such an interaction with Magnolia. Why was it that he had decided to come back to his own house, rather than simply seeking actual medical attention? This carelessness was something which would bite him in the ass one day, though he seemed safe for now. Perhaps she thought him a deviant? Who else would choose to bring them to their house. Oh god, how far had he fallen?

It was just as he began to sink into the dark recess of his mind, his imagination having grabbed a hold of his consciousness, that he would hear her laugh. This laugh was something which was able to save him from entering the rather dark, and depressing, tracks of thought. with a smile he turned to the female. "No, really, I insist. I sleep on the ground on occasion, it's good for the back. A person shouldn't sleep on the ground every night though." It was with this that he would continue eating; perhaps he was being too pushy? "No need to feel awkward, feel free to do as you please. I honestly don't mind. Having someone to talk to is nice every once and a while, isn't it?" He chuckled, why was he chuckling so much? God, he was being awkward again. What was he to do in this situation?

"So, tell me more about yourself; though only if you want to! Don't force yourself. It would be nice to get to know each other, right? Perhaps I'm being too presumptuous." He scratched the back of his head, he was unsure as to whether he was pushing the boundaries too far. What could he ask this lady and what was off limits? He was rather interested in her, she seemed to have a certain air about her. Looking her over once more, simply out of the corner of his eye, she seemed to have a rather hardened aura about her; how could such a beautiful lady hold such an air? She had, surely, seen more than she had even needed to. What a shame, who would let her put herself in danger? Surely there was someone willing to protect her, or was this something which he was feeling? Perhaps he was being overly protective, but he had just met this woman. This was rather odd.
