For Russia! Or something....

Mirja, The Wolf of Eden
Mirja loved to run. It wasn't something she made a secret in any way, and even actively told people about in her usual very heavy handed manner. So when she was carrying a beautiful, albeit tiny, girl with her, nothing could be better for her. Verniy had, shockingly, spoken rather a lot to Mirja, showing that she was just shy, and that in turn just added to her cuteness rather than putting Mirja off trying to get anywhere further with her. Opening this flower up so it bloomed was Mirja's goal, and nothing was going to divert her course.
It took quite a while, but she eventually rolled into Vastime and slowed herself to a halt outside the training grounds, which she then opened the door to and took Verniy inside.
"So, I've decided I am going to teach you something that is important to me. And I want it to be important to you. I can understand if you would rather limit the interaction you have with me, you seem a girl that is...worried, about making friends. At least that is how I saw it from where I was stood. However, I would like you to just humour me for this one thing, and then you can go about doing whatever it is you want to do and I will follow your desires" She said, rather in a flurry as if she was worried Verniy wouldn't hear her out or something. But Mirja was rather hard to not hear out.
She strolled to the center of the training ground, and sat down, gesturing Verniy to come sit with her. Her tail swished back and forth nervously as she waited, and she thought about what she was going to say before finally coming out with it.
"This technique, is one that demands peace. So I need you to find the thing that soothes your ragged nerves whenever you are in trouble of losing it. Something that you think on in the dark days, and something that is always by your side, and by your heart"

Verniy was slightly uncomfortable at the idea of being carried, believing that she can manage on her own just fine but she remained silent as she carried her all the way to Vastime and into Mirja's training grounds. By the time that they have gotten in, Verniy would help herself to get off of Mirja's carry and stood on her own two feet.
She listened to every word that Mirja said in silence, without speaking a word nor diverting her attention away from her words. Verniy understood what she meant by her words but she didn't have any comments about it, remaining silent as per usual as it had reminded her of a bitter feeling that lingered inside of her. It wasn't appropriate enough to share such a thing yet, it just wasn't.
When Mirja invited her over to sit together, she did. Verniy sat in front of Mirja on her knees and resting on her heels in a traditional Japanese way of sitting in a formal manner called Seiza. Resting her sacred weapon on her thighs in a calm manner, she would continue to listen in to what Mirja has to say without a word.
It was Mirja's technique, something that demands peace and when Verniy heard of that word, she was a little confused, replying to what she said about the technique.
"Peace..? I.."
Verniy went quiet for a short while, placing one of her hands on her forehead and dropped a sweat. She know what peace is by any means as it is something she continues to maintain with Russia but she didn't know peacefulness for a.. person.
".. I don't know.."
Verniy had a mind of a soldier and even continued to do so until now, so such words didn't strike her much since her lack of expression and physical actions had always displayed a sense of calmness, something related to peace but it wasn't it. She wanted to be reliable, to be alive, to serve the country, to move forward and fight not for herself but her people.
A simple word of peace only got her to a state of confusion because it wasn't a feeling that she had tried confirming when she started all of this. Verniy remained silent for a bit longer before she finally spoke again.
"... Сожалею. Can you.. repeat that?"
